just incase you didn't see the note on my last chapter- I messed up the storyline so I had to change the ending of the last chapter and entirely rewrite this one so make sure you're caught up!
After I managed to pull myself up off the tracks, I solemnly made my way back to the main part of the station. Sheriff was no where to be found and so I sat down by myself, waiting for Stiles to figure out a way to get me out of here which could take who knows how long.
My sulking was disturbed when one of the doors burst open, a figure running through them, their eyes darting around the station like the were looking for someone. Their eyes eventually landed on me and a look of relief spread across their face, "Sydney!"
"Mason." I breathed, standing up from my seat, and pulling him into a hug. "Why did it have to be you?"
"What's wrong Syd? Not happy to see me?" Mason asked, with a small smile.
"I'm always happy to see you Mason. I mean, I wish we were under better circumstances and you hadn't left Liam alone back home, but-"
Mason chuckled , "I'm really happy to see you too Syd, and besides," he said, pulling away from me, "Liam's not alone, he's with Theo."
I gaped at the mention of Theo's name, "What?" I almost chocked, "Theo?" Theo, as in the same guy who had tried to kill Scott and I and break up the pack, Theo who had been sent into the ground? My boyfriend was working with him? Great.
Mason sheepishly scratched at the back of his neck, "It's a long story, but it's a good thing."
I shook my head, refusing to believe that anything that involved Theo was good.
Mason quickly changed the subject as he began looking around the station once again for something-or someone.
"What are you looking for?" I asked, my own eyes moving around the station.
"Corey, have you seen him?" Mason questioned.
I gasped, shaking my head, "He was taken?"
Mason nodded, "By Mr. Douglas."
My eyes widened as my jaw dropped, "Mr. Douglas as in the guy who teaches us physics?"
"He's not just a teacher."
"Well if Corey isn't here then where is he?" I asked, as far as I knew this was the only station.
"He might be in another station." Mason explained.
"Another one? I thought this was the only one. Stiles and I, we tried the doors and we just ended up back here."
"Stiles was here? Where is he now?" Mason asked, looking for him.
"He made it out, through a rift, he's coming back for us." I answered, a small smile on my face.
"Why didn't you go? " Mason asked, wondering the obvious, why didn't I take the chance to get out?
"I couldn't make it through the rift, and besides, I would be no help." I explained, giving a small shrug.
Mason shook his head with a laugh, "Well, there are more stations. That's where I just came from and Corey has to be in one of the right?" he asked.
"Well then, what are we waiting for, let's go." I announced, making my way over to the doors. Mason followed after me, the two of us pushing through the doors that now lead into a long hallway, rather than back into the same station like it had with Stiles and I.
---
Close to an hour and 50 rooms later, there was still no sign of Corey.
"Corey?" Mason called, as we entered yet another room.
The two of us looked around but had no luck locating our friend. I let out an angered sighed as I spun in a slow circle, hoping that Corey would appear out of nowhere.
"How many rooms does this place have?" Mason asked in disbelief.
"Besides the 57 we've already searched?" I mumbled, "My guess is enough for all of Beacon Hills."
Mason let out a disheveled sigh, "We're never going to find him."
I put my hand in his, giving it a quick squeeze, "We just have to keep looking. We'll find him okay?" I said softly, noticing Mason's worried expression.
Mason nodded just as the same monotoned voice I had heard earlier filled the room, "Attention all passengers, the train will be arriving in 19 minutes."
I looked around at the blank-faced people who looked up at the sound of the announcement, they actually thought this train was coming.
I scoffed at this whole situation, I was starting to get really sick of being here, "It's not coming people! There is no train okay? No need to rush." I yelled, spinning around to make sure all the people heard me. If they heard me they didn't acknowledge it. All of them sat still, their eyes focused forwards.
In my fit of yelling I had missed Mason calling my name, he called it again, this time more sternly, "Syd!"
"What?" I breathed, turning to face him to see that his eyes were focused on the speaker where the voice had just come from. My demeanor changed as I moved so I was beside him, "Mason, what is it?"
"It's him." he said quietly, taking his eyes off of the speaker to looked over at me in shock.
"What?" I questioned, why in the world would it be Corey on the intercom. How and why would he be doing that.
The voice came over the intercom again and Mason stepped forward, "That's his voice." he explained.
"Okay, are you sure it's really him?" I continued pressing.
Mason nodded, his jaw slightly dropped, "I know his smile, I know his touch," he paused, pointing up to the speaker, "And I know that's his voice." Mason's eyes moved up to the wires on the ceiling, "It has to come from somewhere."
"There's control rooms all over but I don't-" I sighed, cutting myself off, "He could be anywhere."
Mason opened his mouth to speak again but he was cut off by the sound of a horse coming down the tunnel. I felt my heart drop as I grabbed a hold of his arm, "Mason, we have to hide." I instructed, trying to pull him away from the tunnel.
Mason resisted attempts to pull him away, "Just give me a minute! I can find him!" He promised.
"We don't have a minute, we have to go now!" I argued, still trying to pull him with me. However, it was too late, the horse soon came into view and I was prepared to be met with the Ghost Riders.
Instead, I was met with something very different. My heart felt like it was going to explode as I laid eyes on the person riding the horse. It wasn't a Ghost Rider, in fact it was far from a Ghost Rider.
"Liam?" my voice came out barely above a whisper as tears of joy began blurring my vision. I watched in awe as he brought the horse to a halt, seamlessly jumping off like he had been riding horses his entire lives.
"Liam." I repeated, this time it came out as more of a cry. His eyes met mine and he rushed towards me, instantly engulfing me in a hug.
"You found me." I cried into his shoulder, as he tightened his grip around me.
"I told you," he said, pulling away slightly so he could look me in the eyes, "I'll always find you." he repeated the same thing he had told me the night at Eichen house.
A smile spread onto my tear soaked face as he wiped away my tears with his thumb, leaning forward to gently press a kiss to my lips.
"I love you." he mumbled, his eyes staring into mine.
"I love you too."
