Y/N POV
In a day, we gain tons of cards, have a highly expected-to-be-eventful trade-off that turned out to be uneventful, and go to a casino to try to get more cards. Killua becomes a little addicted, so we knock him out.
I put him on my back and we travel to the next city for more cards. A few days later, we had acquired more than half the cards needed to clear the game.
We're walking through the forest, me and Bisky, and Gon and Killua, when Killua stops. "If you guys went to Masadora, but there weren't any leave cards, what would you do?" he asks randomly, turning around to look at us three.
"Well," Bisky replies, tapping her chin, "I'd save money up until a Leave arrives." Me and Gon agree.
Killua grins. "Ok! Then what if you got a really super rare spell card while waiting?"
"I would sell it and get more cards and wait," Gon says.
"I would sell it and keep the money until a Leave appears," I comment.
"Really? I would save it. Wouldn't it be horrible if all the cards you bought were worthless? If you saved it, you might be able to trade it for a Leave-"
We all gasp as what Killua's hinting at finally clicks in our brain and head to Masadora.
More adventures ensue, when, out of the blue, we get contacted.
"You! You're the one who stole the Sword of Truth from us!" I point at the screen.
The man chuckles, embarrassed, but then he explains why he called us. After he hangs up, we talk it over and in the end, we decide to go there.
In the rocky clearing, small groups are huddled together. Bisky, Gon, Killua, and I find a rock to sit on together and settle down.
"Thanks for coming, everyone," the man says. "Much appreciated." He cuts down to the chase and tells us about a team about to clear the game. "We need to stop them. By looking at their rankings-"
Killua raises a hand. "How do we check the ranking?"
"You don't know how to do that? If we answer those questions, we'll be here all night!" A snotty girl asks, pointing her abnormally huge nose into the sky. "Just cut to the chase."
"Hey, don't be so mean," the guy says. Mukanaki. That was his name. "These kids have more information than you that can help us."
"Hmmph. Not possible. They don't even know how to use a Trade shop."
Mukanaki explains to us how to use it, but I'm seething. Killua notices and puts a reassuring hand around my fist. I cool down, but I still glare at her.
Mukanaki explains to us what cards Genthru has and how we don't know their abilities.
The girl, whose name I can't even bother to remember, starts arguing with the man who called us to this canyon. "I want people on this team that can actually contribute," she huffs, crossing her arms and looking away from us.
I interrupt. "Are you dumb? There's a reason he contacted us and brought us here. We can contribute because we have information that you obviously don't."
"Really?" she sneers. "And what could that possibly be?"
"Firstly," I say, looking down my nose at her, "We know Genthru's abilities."
"And we have a card that they don't," Killua adds.
I keep quiet as the bitch starts to confront Killua, who, instead of blowing up like me, handles it calmly until the end. "I don't want to team up with her!" He finally yells, blowing his cool. "C'mon let's get outta here."
"I'm with you," I say.
But Gon and Bisky disagree. I growl and sit back down.
Killua and Bisky come up and sit next to me on our boulder as Gon explains the abilities. A bunch of them admit to being bombed, including the woman who was once yelling at us.
"Who's useful now?" I roll my eyes, settling back onto my palms.
"Seems like we have a lot of victims," Bisky whispers to us.
Killua giggles cutely with eyes full of mischief. "A chance!"
Conversation ensues and I zone out. Before I know it, we're going to Soufrabi.
"What are we doing?" I mumble to Killua, walking alongside him.
"Just stay with me." He slings an arm around my shoulder and I lean into it. "And save your energy."
"Okay." My cheeks burn red at Killua's actions, even though I know that he's barely putting a second thought into doing them. As if hugging me is second nature.
The group splits up to find answers and when we meet up, a man speaks up.
"We have to defeat the pirates to do this," Goreniu says.
"Then let's go," I say, bored, my mind wandering back to Killua's hand around my shoulder.
At the pirate bar, we ask to see the leader.
A burly man comes up to us and makes a ring of fire. "Anyone can fight me. Whoever steps outside this loses! If I step out, I'll take you to the boss!"
The first man that steps up is immediately defeated and almost set on fire before Gon kicks him out the way.
"What the hell," I mutter. "That's such a bending of the rules."
"I'm gonna go up," Killua whispers to me.
I shoot him a look but he's already at the bar, getting some alcohol. Careful not to let anyone see his lightning, he turns his back to us then jumps up, pouring the liquid all over the man's head and lightly sparking it. Immediately, his head bursts into flames and he steps out of the ring of fire.
After the defeat of the man, another pirate takes us to the boss, a person named Razor. Razor challenges us to matches with his pirates. If we win eight times, they leave. If we lose, then we leave. Simple as that.
After the first loss, Killua gathers us into a group and tells us the plan. We start losing on purpose to see the games. When we leave the pirate's lair, almost all of the group leaves. The ending group is me, Killua, Gon, Bisky, and Goreinu. Five out of fifteen players needed. I nod thoughtfully as they propose the new plan to pick up people that need this card but won't fight for it.
"Well, there's Chrollo," Gon opens up his book. "We could ask him to join our group."
I miss something, but suddenly they are arguing.
Goreinu looks at us. "Will they be ok?"
We beam up at him. "This is normal," Bisky replies.
"Yeah. They're best friends, they'll make up in no time!"
"So what are you guys to them?" Goreinu asks.
"I'm all three of their's teacher!" Bisky says.
"I'm a friend," I concur.
Without warning, Gon yells, "Accompany on!"
My eyes widen. "WAIT NOOO! I'M NOT READY!" I call out, but my cries are wasted.
We land down in a marsh. Someone is bathing, but it for sure isn't Dad. "Dang it," I say under my breath.
"No way," Killua breathes.
"Wait . . ."
"HISOKA?" all three of us yell.
"Well, well," he grins at us.
I hide behind Killua who hugs me protectively from behind. "Tell me when he has clothes on," I wail, covering my ears with my hands and squeezing my eyes shut.
A few minutes later, Hisoka has clothes on and Killua brings me out.
"Not scared of me, are you, princess?"
I scoff. "I'm not scared of you, but I don't want to see you naked. And don't call me princess."
"Guess I'll have to be like that more on."
"Yuck, don't do that."
"Okay ~ Might I ask, why are you here?"
"We want to know what you're doing here." Gon has a quizzical look in his eyes.
Hisoka explains about the spiders and removing Kurapika's Nen off of Chrollo. I perk up at the sound of Spiders, and Hisoka notices. I scowl again. "But," Hisoka goes on. "I'm sure you didn't come here to tell me that."
"Actually, I did," Gon utters simply.
Hisoka looks completely confused and Killua is quite annoyed.
"Actually . . ." Bisky explains how we need strong people and how she wants Hisoka to join us. I don't miss the sight of her wide eyes and the little drool coming out of her mouth. Disgusting.
We all look at her, annoyed to the bone.
"Hmm? Sure. Why do you need strong people?"
We start arguing with Bisky, but she turns around, her back facing Hisoka, and points her fingers to us. I use Gyo.
He's lying.
Hisoka, suprisingly, agrees, but not before requesting that we go to AiAi, the city of love. As we walk, Bisky explains why he was lying. "After fifty years of lying, I can spot a liar!" She starts to laugh maniacally. I hold out my hands and make the boys step back a little from her.
Suddenly, we feel a weird gaze upon us. "Oh god no," I groan in exasperation.
"Hisoka, you walk in front!" Killua cries out.
In AiAi, I see everyone being approached. I stay near Killua, though. He's deep in thought, but eventually, we leave the city due to it being too distracting.
Gon comes up with the idea to ask Tsezguerra. He asks Hisoka to see his binder, who readily agrees.
I had been thinking about the Troupe and Hisoka, wondering if he really hadn't seen them here. I haven't, but if Hisoka knows about the Nen remover, I'm sure the Troupe already does. I have a suspicion that Killua is thinking the same thing, because when Hisoka opens his binder, the both of us peer in. We don't see anything about the Troupe, but Gon points out that Hisoka has crossed paths with Tsezguerra.
"Accompany, on!"
When we land in front of the man, Killua immediately starts interrogating him. I count in my head how many people we'll have. There's Tsezguerra and he has three people, plus me Killua and Gon. Bisky, Hisoka, and Goreinu. That's ten. We need five more.
"Prove to us that you can be useful to our group," Killua demands.
"I see our roles have been reversed. But very well," Tsezguerra laughs.
He focuses aura into his feet and bursts up into the air.
"WOW! AWESOME!" we cry out.
Killua, Gon, and I glance at each other, before we do the same as him. Killua shoots up farther than us.
"Ha ha! I win!" he mocks midair.
"Wait no!" I try swimming through the air.
"Darn it!" Gon's hands clench together as he tries to get higher.
We land on the floor and start pleading to Killua. "One more time!" I say.
"Again!" Gon begs.
"No! 'Cause I'm going to keep winning, and you both won't stop until you win."
"We'll only need a second time for me to win," I purr.
Killua smirks right back, and Gon backs up. I think he realized that it was now a competition between us two. I feel bad.
"You too, Gon."
We go up again, and this time I'm the same height as Killua. I laugh, pointing at his face. "How's that?"
"Again!" Both boys cry out.
I shake my head. "Killua was right. We need to go."
"You just want to keep your win," Killua sulks, Gon making the same face.
After picking up five random people, we go back to Razor's place. Since we know the events and the Nen powers that the pirates have, we start winning easily. Then the Bobobo guy comes up, demanding a fight with Killua, and not listening to Razor. He tries to incite a riot and Razor kills Bobobo. We give the win to a frightened person in the back.
Then it's the final task. Beating Razor in a game of dodgeball.
We need eight people. I know for sure that there is me, Killua, Gon, Hisoka, Bisky, Goreinu, and Tsezguerra. One more person.
I look behind to see the rest of the people. The five people we had recruited ran away in fright. Pussies.
"Why would you kill Bobobo?" Gon questions menacingly.
"Murder, more than eleven cases."
Hisoka butts in to explain to us that this game is actually in the real world but unreachable by it.
I can tell Gon and Killua are thinking the same thing as me - we had never even noticed.
Goreinu raises a hand. "I'll count for one more."
He makes a white gorilla out of Nen and Razor grins. He explains the game, and then we start.
