Y/N POV
It's early dawn when my eyes open. I adjust to the sight in front of me. I'm laying with my head on Paku's thigh and sunlight is streaming through the broken stained windows. I see Chrollo is awake, and reading a book.
"Dad," I whisper quietly so I don't wake anyone up. He looks up at me. "I'ma go back to the city for a walk. I want to get another moped."
He nods and returns to his book.
Running to the city isn't very hard, and neither is getting a moped. I found the dealership and spotted the exact same one that I had used previously. I break the lock silently and ride it away.
I see a cafe open. I purchase a Sprite and a few burgers, along with an extra table cloth that he had. It was stained, so he didn't want to use it. Realizing I ran out of cash, I give the man some of my fake jenny. I feel bad, so I give him an extra big tip. Hopefully, he spends it before the person he gives it to registers that it's fake.
I take my burgers and soda and moped to the park. Finding a hill, I lay out my blanket and lean against the moped, eating the burgers. I watch as the park fills up with children and parents.
Among them, I see two far away people with a ton of food. They're gobbling it down when they stop. Perfect time to grab and steal some of their food. After all, do they really need that much?
I race down the hill, keeping an eye on my moped. Suddenly, I feel someone grab my arm. "Y/N?" they exclaim in surprise. I turn around and see a smiling Kurapika.
"Kurapika!" I cry out, hugging him.
He hugs me tight. "I thought you were dead. You scared me." He smacks my head.
"Sorry, sorry."
"KURAPIKAAA!!" I hear voices exclaim. I hide behind Kurapika and see Gon and Killua, first talking to Kurapika, and then fighting each other with food.
"Whew!" I watch as Killua jumps over Gon and face palms him with a pie. Kurapika gasps in shock and sympathy, then starts laughing. I do as well. The boys turn to me.
I see Killua's face light up. "Y/N!"
"Y/N!" Gon screams.
They both jump on me and I get thrown to the floor. They envelope me in a hug. "We thought you were dead, Y/N! Killua was crying for hours!"
I turn to Killua, and we realize how close our faces are. We blush, and he turns his attention to Gon, but not before saying, "Yeah! I was worried! And Gon! You were too, so don't deny it."
"I'm not denying it."
Killua just clicks his tongue and looks away, sassily crossing his arms. "Also - I wasn't crying my eyes out."
"Tell yourself that," Gon giggles.
We're back at the hotel now. Leorio's hugging me and sobbing about how he thought I was dead and blowing his nose into my shirt. I awkwardly pat his back and mouth to the rest of them, gesturing and begging for help. They refuse to help at first, instead snickering at the predicament I find myself in.
"You can get off her now," Gon tugs him off. "Y'know, it's been a long time since we've been together, all five of us!"
"Well . . ." Killua trails off, sucking a yellow bunny lollipop and looking at the ceiling, innocently batting his eyes. "All five of us woulda been together at my house . . ."
"Don't you dare, Killua Zoldyck, or I'ma beat you up!" I shake a fist at him jokingly, and he giggles innocently.
In the elevator up to the room, Killua and Gon start interrogating Kurapika about his Nen, and his power.
We sit in the room. I had changed into a practical and comfortable outfit I liked. A simple, small backpack is now slung over my shoulder and my phone rests inside.
I also took one of Killua's lollipops. It tastes like lemon. A sweet lemon.
"Ooh, since we're on the subject of Nen, what are yours, Killua, Gon, and Leorio?"
"We don't have them yet," they respond. "But what about yours?"
I nonchantly talk about mine. Gon is freaking out though. "You learned this when you were nine? How? And why'd you choose Heaven Sent as your power?"
I explain each one. "I lived on the streets. I picked up stuff from many different people, and then I tried it out. And for Heaven Sent, it was kind of a tribute to my mother who always told me the world isn't black and white, light and dark. Everyone's a mixture of both. With me, I can turn into all dark, all light, or be myself, which is a mix for both. I chose a power to show that for me. The light side of me can heal, while the dark part of me destroys."
"And so you're the chain user?" Killua asks Kurapika. "Why are you telling us this?"
"I guess I've been letting my guard down and relaxing more since I know that the leader is now dead," Kurapika admits.
I spit out my lollipop. "Excuse me, what? You actually believed those things? How did you not realise? I was holding Feitan's hand, for god's sake. Would I do that in real life? No."
"Realise what? We don't exactly share everything about our lives." Kurapika looks at me expectantly, eyebrows raised. "Not that I'm trying to be rude or anything," he reassures.
I groan, slumping and hitting my head lightly against the decorative coffee table. "No, no, it's okay. I was quite rude too. But here's the basics; Dad's not dead. And neither is the rest of the Phantom Troupe."
"Shit. Wait. DAD?"
I explain to Leorio and Kurapika how Chrollo Lucilfer is my dad. We sit and talk a while more, until I doze off.
I wake up to a phone call. Leorio, Gon, Killua, and Kurapika perk up as well. I look at who the caller is. Feitan. I put a finger to my lips and motion for them not to make a sound. I look outside. It's raining.
"Hello? Feitan?" I put him on speaker so everyone can hear.
"Where the fuck are you," He says calmly and coolly, but I can hear the worry underlined in his tone.
"Aww, have you been thinking of me, Fei?" I coo, laughing at him through the phone.
"Give me the phone, Feitan," Machi orders. He does. "Y/N. Where are you?"
"I'm in Yorknew. I passed out. I was tired," I respond.
"Well, Feitan's been worrying his ass off."
"Oh, I can tell. I can hear it in his voice."
"He's just kinda off," Machi continues. "He's uncapped his bloodlust, so it's everywhere. And he keeps tapping his foot." She moves the phone away from her and yells, "Cut it out! That tapping is so annoying!" The phone returns to her mouth. "Like I was saying. We're all worried. We wake up and you're gone."
"I told Boss," I tell her.
"He was reading. We didn't want to bother him. He only came out now, after Feitan let go of his bloodlust."
"That's bad. Give him the phone."
"Hello, Y/N."
"Hi, Dad. What's up?"
"We're moving out tonight. Get back here."
"Alright, I'm coming." I hang up and look at them. Kurapika's boiling.
"You can't let them leave," Kurapika tells me. "If they disband, I can't find all of them and hunt them down."
"I'll convince them." I pick up my backpack. "You guys stay here and do what you please. I'll text you what happens."
I arrive at base soon. Walking in with my moped, I shake my hair. "Sorry. What did I miss?"
They pounce on me like hyenas on meat. "Where were you? What were you doing?"
"Nevermind that," I reply. "What are we doing now?"
Machi tells me how we're departing today since the last night of the auction is tonight. And then Nobunaga raves on about how we need to kill the chain user.
"Okay." I stand up and jump to where Hisoka is. I sit on the other side of his window sill.
"Miss me, Y/N?" the clown asks.
"Of course not. I just met up with them."
"Ah. And how is my ripe fruit?"
"You're weird. He's not your ripe fruit."
Down below, Chrollo writes down everyone's fortune.
"What about Y/N's?" Machi asks.
Chrollo smiles. "I have already gotten one from her, however it makes no sense. It talks nothing about the Spiders, which confuses me."
"Wait, what?" I utter. "I didn't see it. Boss, I know I didn't want to see it earlier, but I do now. Can you write it up for me again, please?"
"Sure." He does so, and I grab it before going back up with Hisoka.
Fight for your place. Dish out respect and love, yet never get it returned. Everyone has greedy priorities, but what makes yours so different? The choice is all yours, in the end.
Fight those you hate, fight those you love. You're never alone, and yet somehow you're always lonely.
Always the one carrying the boulder, the others carrying mere pebbles. Break, and you fall into heaven. Hold it up, and you'll find hell.
Fighting for those you love will be your downfall. Sacrifice is all you've ever known and all you will ever, truly know. You'll never be able to stop, and you shall fall at the hands of light.
I reread my fortune. It's so confusing. "Hey," Shizuku calls up. "Can I see yours, Y/N?"
I nod and make it into a paper airplane, tossing it down at her. She reads it and shows the rest, then tosses it back up. "Well, you won't be dying. That's good."
"Thanks," I sigh.
Paku comes up to Hisoka and demands for his fortune. After a little persuasion, he gives in. They read his.
Nobunaga reads Hisoka's out loud. "A red-eyed customer will visit your shop, seeking to make a trade. The customer will use the sword of law upon you, taking the calendar's secrets with him. The eleven-legged spider grows home-sick, losing five more legs. Do not leave your temporary shelter, as you are one of the remaining legs."
Nobunaga throws down the paper and glares at him. "Hisoka, did you sell Uvogin out? Did you sell out Uvo?" Hisoka just keeps shuffling his cards. Nobunaga draws his sword out of his sheath and is about to attack him, when me, Shalnark, and Franklin jump in front of him.
"Hold on, let's hear his explanation," Franklin says.
"Explanation? Why would I need his explanation!"
"Calm down!" I exclaim. Shalnark joins in.
"Didn't you hear the boss tell us that prophecies can be avoided, depending on our actions?" Shalnark cries out.
"Hisoka." Franklin turns around, and so do I and Shalnark. "Explain this week."
"I cannot," Hisoka says coolly in the same tone of Feitan. "All I can say is that the first verse is true."
Quickly, it hits everyone that Hisoka "cannot say anything" or he will "die."
I go up to Hisoka.
"What did you put over your fortune?" I whisper in his ear. "I know that that wasn't your real one."
Hisoka explains it to me, and then regains the Troupe's attention by saying that he will not leave this temporary shelter.
"So what do we do, Boss?" Shalnark asks.
"Leave or stay?" I demand.
"Stay."
I get a call later. "Hang on. I gotta take this. I ordered a gallon of Sprite." I smile cheekily and Chrollo looks at me dead pan.
"More?"
"You can never have enough! Did you guys want anything?"
A line of no's come from the room. I zip outside into the trees. The foliage is thick enough to cover any rain from coming through.
"Hello? Is this my gallon of Sprite order?"
"Umm, no. Who does that?"
"Then I have no interest in talking to you." I'm about to hang up when the caller yells,
"Wait! It's Leorio!"
"Oh, hey! What's up? You guys got my text that they're staying, right?"
"Yes. We would bring you down here to talk, but we can't so I'm going to put you on speaker so you can hear the plan."
KILLUA POV
Leorio puts the phone on speaker.
"Hey, Y/N!" Gon shouts.
"Shh! I'm not supposed to be out here this long, so can we hurry this up? What's this plan gotta do with?"
"We're attacking the Troupe." Kurapika's fist tightens.
"The Troupe?" Her voice gains worry. "No no no. I don't allow it. I'm not going to go and watch you die."
"Don't worry," Kurapika tries to calm her down as she stresses. Man, this must be how she felt when I stress over her. "We're not attacking the whole Troupe. Just Chrollo, the leader."
"That's worse! He's the most powerful one there! Are you crazy? How is it that Killua has more common sense than you three? Kurapika, you're supposed to be level-headed!"
"I'm right here," I say.
"Wow. That makes my night so much better. I can't convince you guys, can I?"
"Nope. So here's the plan." Leorio gestures for Kurapika to go on.
"I'll need someone to watch their base. Y/N, can you keep tabs on it?"
"Yeah, but dad doesn't want me on the phone all the time, so I probably can't communicate with you all that well. Can I have someone watching the outside?"
"I can do it," I volunteer.
"Can I have someone not Killua watching outside?"
"What's wrong with me?" I raise an eyebrow before I remember that she can't see me.
She stutters. "It's not that there is something wrong, but remember the sushi bar? There was bloodlust oozing off of you after I gave Feitan his present."
"Oh. So you're saying I'ma get us caught."
"Mhm."
"Then I'll turn my aura off. Problem solved. Kurapika go on."
"Okay. You guys can work that out," Kurapika utters.
"Fine. Meet me in the trees, Killua," Y/N asks. Well, commands.
"Ok," I agree.
"I'll need you guys to give me updates. The target's Pakunoda. The rest don't matter," Kurapika informs us.
I hear Y/N's voice hitch. "Paku?" she whispers. "Are you going to kill her?"
"No. Not for now."
"Good."
"I'll also need a driver to accompany me. Leorio, can you handle that?"
"Yup."
They start talking, and I hear Y/N zone out. She's muttering under her breath, moping that she didn't have any soda. I start zoning out as well, when Leorio says, "Hey. Killua. C'mon. They're talking by themselves."
We walk away, when Leorio pushes me against the back of Kurapika's chair. He puts a finger to his mouth and I nod. Then to the phone, he whispers, "Y/N, shut up. we're going to listen to Kurapika and he can't hear you mumbling about soda."
"I swear to god, the next time I see you I'm strangling you."
We listen as Kurapika explains his powers. We're deadly quiet, until Kurapika finishes his explanation of his powers. That's when we pop up from behind him. He startles and I start to ask him a few questions.
Y/N yawns through the phone. "Gotta go guys. Sprite delivery man's here. I need to get it. Killua, meet me."
"Yeah, yeah."
Y/N POV
I grab the Sprite and thank the man, then run back to base. I see Paku waiting at the entrance. I giggle nervously. "Uh, hi Paku."
"Want to tell me what took so long to get the Sprite?"
I quickly fabricate a story about how I didn't want anyone knowing, so I had killed the deliverer and buried him in the woods. She takes my answer and walks me in. I drink a few gulps.
"We're splitting into groups." Chrollo stands up. I put my sprite away. "We'll spend the next few weeks operating in these groups. Avoid moving alone." He splits us up, and I end up with the other girls. Machi, Shizuku, and Pakunoda.
Machi reminds Chrollo about how there are kids, Gon and Killua, who know about this place. Kortopi makes fake buildings and places it around.
As I'm thinking about some things, Chrollo spreads us out to find the Scarlet Eyes in the boxes. In that quick alone time, I place my tracker on, so that Kurapika knows where I am. Then I open my phone to the groupchat.
KILLUA, GON, LEORIO, KURAPIKA

I put the phone away and continue to look for the Kurta eyes. Shizuku finds it, and Kortopi places a hand on it. He points in a direction, claiming that it's roughly 2500 meters that we have to travel to get there.
Chrollo looks at a map. "Hotel Beitacle."
Kurapika's hotel. I quickly relay the information to them, then shut my phone off.
Nobunaga pleads for Boss to allow him to go, and he agrees. "I'll go with you. Machi, Y/N, Paku, Shizuku, you will come with us. Shal, switch with Kortopi," Boss says.
"Yes." Nobunaga grins at Boss. And we set off.
