the show opens with a recap of the last episode before fading to show an enchanting collage of different angles of the river bank, showing the trainees seated, excitement and nerves evident on their faces. the camera eventually cuts back to the stage with mystical lights illuminating the hosts standing in the same style of flowy and elegant dresses from the last episode, this time with different colors and lengths.

welcome back, national producers, to project river! today marks a pivotal moment in our journey. our trainees will face their first mission: the company audition performance. this is their chance to showcase their talent and prove why they deserve to board the boat and start their journey across the river.

each group will perform a song chosen by the group members to showcase their talents and gain approval from the mentors. this is where they can shine and set themselves apart. our esteemed ferrywomen will be judging the performances and putting the trainees in ranks they feel fit the girls well based on their showcased talents.

the ferrywomen will each decide together to put groups into the following 6 ranks:

STYGIAN is the rank given to trainees that the
ferrywomen feel are more than ready to debut.

A is the rank that is given to trainees that have what it takes to debut, but may still lack a bit on some things.

B is the rank that is given to trainees that the ferrywomen feel are still lacking in skills and will need a bit more guidance in some areas, but are still well-rounded.

C is the rank that is given to trainees that are still lacking in needed skills to debut, but have certain strong skills.

D is the rank given to trainees that the ferrywomen feel are still lacking in their skills and will still have a lot of work
ahead in order to debut.

finally, F is the rank given to trainees the ferrywomen feel are struggling and will need major guidance in order to debut.

now, without further delay, let us bring in the ferrywomen who will be judging today's performances!

the hosts move over to the side a bit as the mentors walk out in a horizontal line formation all making their way to the judge's panel in front of the stage and under the last row of stairs to the chairs, however, this a lot farther down then where the trainees sit.

the camera changes to show the judges now sitting in their seats at the panel the hosts now coming over to stand beside the panel continuing to talk.

skill is the biggest thing. we will be looking for how much potential someone has and how well they fit the parts they picked for the performance. i will be looking for originality and how well someone can make the stage their own and light it up with their style and personality. we plan to see if you would survive skill-wise in the show and especially in their ranks.

i feel in recent years yg has really come to be known for their dancing skills and what i just saw showcases why well. i do however have to say i feel that vivian executed the dance moves with more energy and precision than eunhyuk did. for that, i have to say im a little disappointed.

the other judges nod as they agree as eunhyuk seems to look down disappointed by the lack of compliments to her a wide smile seen on vivian's face from all the compliments.

nahyeon and yeonseo however, you did do well on your vocal based parts but dancing wise... you seemed to.. you fell behind a lot. idols need to be precise and match the rest of the team, if one or more of you look out of sync or doesn't give the same energy it will look a mess and unfortunately at time that's what happened here.

i would like if this became a educational moment for you girl, in order to pull off performances with easier choreography, you need to compensate with strong expressions and energy. unfortunately, that was missing here.

mohana, your rap was bland and unimpressive. for a song like this one, the rap needs to be bold and confident, but it felt like you were holding back.

you all have potential, i can see it in you, but you need to work harder to bring it out.

i also wanted to bring up mohana dancing.. i understand now that you might've picked a song with easier dancing so that mohana had a chance but i feel like this isn't exactly fair to other trainees who ranked lower because they took the chance of doing harder dances to prove themselves to us, but you guys, a group with decent enough dancing, have seemed to give us nothing. did you not see the last company from backstage? are you not embarrassed? as an idol you should be well rounded and that has to include dancing in it.

mohana looks at the floor embarrassed and saddened by the way their performance was received by the judges. the mentors sigh as they look around the room for a moment in silence before minzy picks back up her mic.
