I pulled back from this kiss and Serenity stammered "You didn't mean that, right?"

"I meant it," I said moving my hands to her waist

"This is trouble..." She trailed off

"I like a bit of trouble..."

She laughed lowly and said, "I can tell."

"Are we still going out next Friday?" I asked with a hopeful smile

Yes, I kissed Serenity and at first it scared the hell out of me, before I noticed the kiss had her weak in the knees.

I hadn't had the hots for a woman like this in years and this seemed to have me on cloud nine.

And finally being able to do what I wished since I met her was utterly exhilarating. Serenity had knocked me completely from my game, even made me nervous most of the time we'd talk.

"Yeah, I may be a bit tired because I work my long hours this week."

I nodded and said "If you need rest it's fine. I understand."

"I'll make time, Speedy." She replied making me smile

"Make time for me! Why!?" I exclaimed teasingly as she nodded "Because you're a really good kisser."

"I've been told." I replied licking my lips

Meadow and Sarai began to make their way over to us and Sarai ran into her moms arms happily and I couldn't help but to stare.

Serenity was a great mom and seeing how Sarai would light up seeing her mother was beautiful. I wish Meadow's mom would step up to the plate like that, but she's drawn into herself completely and our daughter is the last thing on her mind.

I then smiled at Meadow and then she said "So you two old people are not going to ride anything!"

"I'm not old your dads the old one." Serenity retorted with a lingering laugh

"Really?!" I laughed as she nudged me, I softly nudged her back before she tried to scurry away making me wrap my arms around her waist from behind beginning to tickle her.

"Do you want to fight Chief!" I joked nuzzling my head into the crook of her neck as she laughed beautifully.

"Mommy. Are you okay?!" Sarai asked

"Yes, baby." Serenity said grabbing her hand

"Ms. Serenity I bet you won't get on the drop zone with me?!" Meadow supposed with a small smile trying to egg Serenity on

Serenity furrowed her eyebrows before saying sillily "Is that a challenge?!"

"You know it." Meadow replied making Serenity look at me with a smirk as I said "What?! I'll stay with Sarai."

"Be good." Serenity said to Sarai before walking off with Meadow

Sarai then tapped my leg and I said "Yes, Princess?"

"Are you going to hurt my mommy?!" She said lowly making me pick her up swiftly

"No, I'd never. I actually like your mommy a lot. Why do you think I'd hurt her?" I asked pinching her cheek softly

She began to play with her little bracelet before she said "My dad always hurts Mommy."

My expression then hardened as I said eagerly "What do you mean Princess?"

"He always hits her and makes her cry" She said sadly

I held her close and said "I'm so sorry."

"Can you keep my Mom safe?" She asked lowly

I knew that asshole of an ex she had was abusive not only mentally and emotionally but physically as well; From the moment I saw the handprint and bruises around her neck, but Serenity tries to brush me off every time stating some bull excuse.

"I can try, Princess." I said lowly

I could protect Serenity if she'd just tell me the truth. That motherfucker wouldn't dare put his hands on her again if she let me handle it.

Serenity began walked back towards us giving Meadow a piggyback ride as huge smiles plastered across both of their faces.

I smiled at the sight in front of me and said "Really Meadow?!"

My daughter did nothing but laugh before Serenity sat her down and Serenity looked at the time on her phone before saying inaudibly "Shit!"

"I have to get Sarai to her dads...I'm sorry if I ruined tonigh-" Serenity began to trail off before I cut her off "You didn't ruin anything, let's get you guys home."

"Dad, can you drop me off at Melody's on the way please?" Meadow plead making me roll my eyes playfully.

"Melody's dad alright with that?" I asked before she smiled and said "Yes!"

"Alright, I guess you can go, but I need you back by the time I leave out for work. So if you need a ride text me." I told Meadow as she climbed out of Serenity's car

"Alright, Dad, love you. Thanks so much Ms. Serenity. I had so much fun with you and Sarai."

"Aww, thanks sweetie." Serenity smiled

"Love you too, be safe, bear." I ordered teasingly

"I will. I'm going to tell Melody all about how much you like Ms. Serenity!" She said walking towards her friends' house

"Watch it!" I called after her as Serenity laughed lowly

Melody then opened the front door and let her in after waving a quick 'Hello' to me. I waved back and Serenity said "Sarai must be knocked out?"

I glanced quickly behind us and smiled before saying "Yeah."

As Serenity made her way down the road I softly gripped her thigh, making her smile keeping her eyes on the road and moving my hand.

I studied her as she drove down the street with focused eyes, I bit my lip gushing silently to myself about how beautiful she was.

"If you weren't a movie star, I'd swear you were a stalker." She teased not looking over at me pulling into a neighborhood that laid on the other side of Los Angeles.

"If you weren't a firefighter, I'd swear you were a sexy model." I rebutted making her look over at me for a split second as she laughed

Stopping in front a modern styled mansion, "I'll be back." She sighed before getting out of the car as I couldn't help but let my eyes fall on her ass.

I bit my lips thinking about everything I shouldn't have before she opened the back door beginning to get Sarai up.

"Mommy..." She said lowly

"Yes, baby?" Serenity replied

"Do I have to go over daddy's?" Sarai sulked

"Yes, I'm sorry, I'm trying to get you with me full time but your dads making it hard." Serenity explained as Sarai held out her pinky "Ride or Die!" she squealed making my heart race.

"Ride or Die." Serenity replied entangling her pinky onto hers before kissing Sarai's forehead picking her up from the car seat.

"Bye Brian!" Sarai said with a smile

"Bye, baby girl!" I replied as she waved at me leaning against her mothers chest.

Serenity walked around the walkway corner towards the front door of this house and I began waiting patiently before I checked my phone seeing more and more time had passed.

I furrowed my eyebrows before getting out of Serenity's car making my way to the front door of this house before I heard a man's voice.

"You want to keep fucking with me we won't need a custody hearing." The man seethed making me rush around the corner before seeing her ex had her backed into a wall.

I looked at the tears in Serenity's eyes causing nothing but anger to rush through my body.

I grabbed his shoulder vastly and pulled him away from her, making him stand face to face with me with a sarcastic smile as our foreheads weren't even a centimeter from touching.

"You're the one, huh?" He laughed sarcastically

"The one and only." I replied standing about a inch taller than him

"Paul, look, let's go" Serenity plead

"You're fucking my woman?!"

"Last time I checked she wasn't your woman." I replied angrily

"Don't you have a movie to shoot or something boy." He retorted now sending me the same expression I sent him

"None of that shit even matters right now, you put your hands on her, hit me please so I can treat you like a bitch since you want to act like one." I chafed before Serenity grabbed my arm softly

I looked over at her and saw her pleading eyes before turning towards her ex as he laughed sarcastically once again backing out of my face.

"I'll see you, Serenity." He said looking in her direction before looking back at me "You too, Superstar."

He walked back into his house and slammed the door making Serenity flinch.

"Are you okay?!" I asked softly grabbing her by the back of her head entangling my hand into her short curly hair pulling her into a hug.

"Thank you." She said lowly

"No problem." I said holding her close so she'd feel protected

She was like treasure, hard to find and hard to get. All I wanted her to do was let me protect her and show her real love.

"I'll take you to my place and we can get some food." I said lowly as she handed me her car keys

"My place isn't as fly as yours but it's something." I joked trying to cheer her up as we began to walk to her car.

"I doubt it." She replied as I got in the drivers seat and she got in the passengers.

"Finally letting me drive, huh?" I teased as she sat with a blank expression making my eyes soften sympathetically.

She played with necklace nervously and said "You didn't have to do that...You could've gotten hurt."

I laughed and said "I take Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, but if I did get hurt it'd be worth it."

We sat in silence for a bit before I slid the key in the ignition, swiftly turning it letting the engine let off a pleasing roar.

"Can I kiss you?" She asked just above a whisper making me lean over quickly as I replied "Of course."

I softly pressed my lips against hers and she kissed back laying her palm against the side of my cheek as I entwined my hand in her short cut curly hair.

Pulling back she grinned lowly before biting her lip, "Oh so you liked that one." I teased making her softly push my shoulder
