I stopped in front of Aiden's house and took a deep breath before opening my car door and stepping out, beginning to make my way to his front door.

I rang the doorbell letting it ring completely out before getting no response.

Looking down at my smartwatch I read the time that read "9:48" in the morning.

I groaned at their tardiness and rung the doorbell again before the door swung open with Aiden and one of his groupies standing behind it.

The latina woman side-eyed me with an annoyed look before sneering "Who the fuck is this?!"

I took a deep breath and said "I'm nobody. Aiden where's my baby?"

"Oh you're the bitch that didn't make it." She laughed to herself

I slightly rolled my eyes and said "Whatever La Vida Loca, I could get back with him if I wanted to, so please enjoy the fact he's fucking you in the moment. Aiden where's Sarai?"

Aiden did nothing but smirk at me and said to the girl "Don't worry about her, I'll call you tonight."

Before she could contest anymore, he leaned down and kissed her softly grabbing her chin in one hand and grabbing her ass with the other.

Sarai then peeped around the corner before seeing me and running full speed to me.

I bent down to her height and letting her run into my arms as I swooped her up beginning to kiss her face.

"Mommy!" She squealed making me smile hardly

"Hey baby girl!" I said smiling as I held her in my arms

"Can we go get breakfast please?!!" She asked me giving me puppy dog eyes

I laughed and said "Yes, we're go get breakfast and see a friend of mommy's for a bit then we can go to the carnival pier."

"Can we watch Fast and Furious too pleaseeeee?!" She plead making me smile as I began to think about the one and only white man that roamed my mind.

"Yes, baby, of course...Let's go get your clothes and get you ready for today." I said to her sitting her down as she began running back into the house, pulling me along with her as she ran to her room.

"Alright, Sarai you almost ready?!" I called as I sat on her bed fluffing the stomach of her stuffed bear that I brought her when she was born.

Aiden leaned against the doorframe of her bedroom and said "Watch how you talk to my guests. I don't feel like hearing these hoes nag."

"Watch your damn mouth!" I whisper yelled before walking into Sarai's bathroom seeing she was brushing her teeth.

Aiden then grabbed my by the arm tightly making me send him a pleading look as he began to grip my arm dragging me to the hallway outside of her room.

"What friend are you going to see? You better not have any other men around my daughter!" He asked pushing me forcefully against the nearby wall

"None of your damn business who I spend my time with Aiden. You can't even keep your daily hoes out of the house when our daughter is here!" I argued before he wrapped his hand around my throat tightly beginning to choke me

I began trying to fight and move his hands as he said "Don't play with me Serenity, you belong to me and only me. I will fucking kill you if you have any other man around my damn daughter."

"Let me go!" I wheezed lowly grabbing his wrist before I heard my daughter crying.

Aiden then let my neck go as I slid down the wall trying to catch my breath, "Mommy." She cried lowly before running over to me wrapping her arms around me.

"I'm fine, baby." I said lowly holding her close as Aiden just looked at me as if I was stupid.

Aiden began to walk away as I said "Come on let's leave, baby."

Me and Sarai began to walk from the breakfast dinner and she said lowly "Why does daddy always try and hurt you?"

I looked down at her and said with a sigh "I don't know Rai"

"I heard daddy talking on the phone and he said that he didn't love me." She said lowly making me stop and bend down to her height.

"I love you and that's all the matters." I promised making her smile

She held up her pinky and said "Ride or die!"

"Ride or die!" I replied entangling my pinky onto her small one

"Alright, so you know how I said we're going to meet a friend of mines kiddie?" I said walking down the hallway towards the hospital room Paul was in

"Yup." She said as I knocked on his door

"Well I think you're going to love who my friend is." I replied smiling at her as I held her in my free arm

The door then opened and I saw his daughter as she smiled at me "Hi, Ms. James!"

"You don't have to call me that. Just call me Serenity!" I teased as she smiled brightly at me

I looked over at Paul and winked as Sarai's eyes grew wide as she yelled "Mommy your friends with Brian!?"

I laughed along with Paul and Meadow as he said "She's a cutie."

"Yes, Sarai this is my friend Paul and Paul this is my daughter Sarai." I said introducing them as she smiled hardly at him

I lifted up the bag of food and said "I got breakfast!"

He smiled at me and said "Thank you."

I sat Sarai down and she immediately ran over to the side of his hospital bed.

Sitting the takeout bag down on a nearby table, I pulled out a box and handed it to Meadow as she said surprised "Thank you!"

"It's no problem sweetie...and here you go speedy." I said handing him his food

"Thank you." He said swiftly before licking his lips making blood rush to my cheeks as my face began to heat up.

"My mommy always says how handsome you are." Sarai said making my eyes widen at her statement

"Sarai Meadow James!" I said as Paul looked at me smiling cheekily with a now red face.

"Well Sarai I think your mom is beautiful." He said making me smile

"Come on dad, Ms. Serenity is a tough woman you're going to have to come a little stronger with your pick up lines then that." Meadow teased making me laugh
