"Hello love. What can I do for you?" Aaliyah smiles, closing her book when Janae lifted the blanket to crawl into her bed. Aaliyah loved using the blanket for semi privacy when reading and listening to her music. Janae crawled between her legs, setting the pillow on Liyah's stomach so she didn't hurt her ribs when she rested her head there. Liyah had at least one more day and she'd be healed, but Janae wasn't taking any chances. "I can't just wanna spend time with my girl?"
"So, I'm your girl now? What happened to jealous, grumpy, and petty, Janae?" Aaliyah smiled sarcastically. Janae rolls her eyes, resting her eyes as Aaliyah rubbed her head. "I'm sorry." Janae mumbled inaudibley into the pillow. "What was that? I couldn't hear you." Janae looked up, and sarcastically smiled at Liyah. "I'm sorry, baby. Is that better?" Aaliyah hummed, pretending to think about it before Janae hit her shoulder.
"You're so stupid." Janae leaned up to press a peck to Aaliyah's lips. Liyah pulled her closer, her hands moving down to Janae's thighs which were bare courtesy of her shorts. Aaliyah smirked. "Sexy legs, darling." Janae chuckles, flipping them over for Aaliyah to be on top instead. "You say that all the time," Janae said, still feeling Aaliyah's hands all over her legs.
"Cause it's true. They're your best feature. After your face, your smile, and of course your ass-" Janae hit her shoulder, both of them laughing. "When we get actual privacy one day. I am going to worship every part of your body cause you are just that captivating." Aaliyah mumbles into Janae's skin as she pressed kisses all over her neck, down to her shoulders.
"You're like a sculpture, you know? You're fragile, perfect and most importantly, beautiful." Aaliyah spoke, stopping to look at Janae. She was crying, happy and sad tears. Nobody in the world had ever said anything that...sweet to her. For so long she felt like she wasn't beautiful because she didn't fit the standard girl body, that was until she met Aaliyah. And Aaliyah made her feel the most beautiful she'd ever felt before.
"Why are you cryin' love? Was it something I said?" Aaliyah frowned, wiping her tears with her thumbs.
"No, no what you said is, it was perfect." Janae smiled, sniffling as Aaliyah brushed her hair back. "So, what it is darling?"
"No one's ever, nobody's ever said that to me before, you know? All my life, I never felt beautiful, until I met you. Everything that comes out of your mouth is perfect." Janae explained, wiping her tears with a small smile. Aaliyah smiles softly, pressing a kiss to Janae's cheek and lips. "I'm sorry it took so long for you to feel beautiful, darling. And everything that I said is true. You're the most magnificent woman I've ever laid eyes on."
Janae let some more tears fall, Liyah going to wipe them off before she could herself. "If you ever feel like you aren't beautiful, tell me. And I'll make you feel like you're the most beautiful woman on earth. Because in my eyes, you are, and always will be." Janae brought her back in for a kiss, this one lasting a little longer than most.
Janae pulled away, her hands on Aaliyah's hips. "What about Beyoncรฉ?"
"See, now you're pushing it-"

Aaliyah sat beside Janae, as per usual, they were currently discussing how Taystee got to chose what movie they were watching for movie night. The movie she chose was called 'The Wiz' and Aaliyah, personally, thought it was a great pick. Cindy didn't seem to think so. "It's a musical?" Cindy questions. Janae hummed, nodding. "That's why I don't know it, cause it's gay."
"You gay now...with Judy." Janae turned to Cindy, imitating kissing as the rest of them laughed.
"Janae, aren't you literally gay too?" Poussey points out.
Janae scoffs. "I ain't gay, my girlfriend is." Aaliyah cringed, "Labels." Janae pat her thigh, mumbling a quick sorry to her.
Cindy turns to Janae who started eating off Aaliyah's tray. "Correction, I'm fake gay...with a beautiful human who's making it rain for all of us."
"Mmm-mmm. Ain't raining in my world, until I see money in my commissary account." Janae stated, chewing halfway through. Aaliyah pushed her hand to Janae's chin, pushing it closed cause talking whilst eating always grossed her out. Cindy gave her an annoyed look. "Janae, it's coming. In the meantime, feel it. Wealth is a state if mind, not some number in a bank account. You're rich girlfriend would know plenty about that."
"Labels, please you're killing me." Aaliyah groaned, leaning her head on Janae's shoulder.
"Money talk. Ah, it's so boring." Judy set her tray on the table before using her hand to run over Cindy's hair. "Oh, no, it's cool, ain't nobody looking." Cindy waves off. "Oh, no, this is not for the guards. It's about my chocolate love." Judy flirts and Cindy purrs at her, making everyone visibly uncomfortable hearing and seeing that. Janae and Aaliyah were pretty unbothered though. "Oh, come on, y'all, I was just kidding. Lord."
Judy took a seat across Cindy. "All right, so what are we all talking about?"
"How Caputo did me a solid, and let me pick movie night tonight!" Taystee exclaimed in excitement.
"I hate The Wiz. Sorry, am I allowed to say that?" Brook spoke up. "Mmm, it's cool. Me, too." Alison agreed. "Oh my god. Come on, the beginning is so boring. Like, when they're all eating ham, and Diana Ross is just complaining about how she's never been below 125th Street," Soso says boredly.
"Hold up, hold up. You tellin' me, the premise of The Wiz is some bitch ain't never gone below 125th Street?" Cindy questions. Judy is quick to correct her. "Diana Ross, not "some bitch." Right?" Taystee grins, glad someone's on her side. "Respect!"
"I mean, ain't there like, dancing subway pillars and weird glow-in-the-dark graffiti everywhere?" Poussey pointed out. "I mean, the production values are so cheesy." Brook adds to P's comment. "Look, I'm sorry, T, I'm gonna have to side with my girl on this. The Wiz is kinda lame." Brook winces.
"I like The Wiz." Suzanne expressed.
Taystee leans forward, "See? Somebody's on my side."
"What about that part when Glinda the Good Witch comes floating in on her magic bubble, and her skin's all white and sparkly?" Taystee inhales deeply, clearly frustrated. "That's the white people version. The Wizard of Oz!" Aaliyah honestly liked that one, but after hearing the backstory that happened on set, she could stomach watching it anymore. She much preferred The Wiz.
"Oh. Well, I like that one."
Aaliyah decided to speak up, wanting Taystee to have someone on her side. "I personally, love The Wiz. I couldn't watch The Wizard of Oz anymore after discovering what happened on set." Aaliyah said. Taystee smiled, "Thank you, Liyah. Someone's finally on my side." Aaliyah smiles, leaning forward to pat her hand.
"What about you, Watson?" Taystee questioned the girl who was silent since Judy got there, too focused on eating, but still listening.
"If my girl likes it, I like it."

"I'm gonna be a little late to movie night. I gotta take care of something." Aaliyah mumbled as Janae grabbed some candy from her locker thing. "And by that, what are you really doing?" Janae asked, crossing her arms over her chest. Aaliyah looked up, grabbing an extra pair of headphones she had. "I gotta go give these to Ouija. She needs some and they're all sold out at commissary right now. That's all."
"This that girl who always callin' you 'mamas'?" Janae questioned, jealous as usual, even though Aaliyah clarified many times that she was straight.
"Relax darling. She's just a friend, and she's straight, like I've said, many many times already." Aaliyah said, growing quite annoying of this little routine. "And how do you know that? Did she tell you that?" Janae sassed. Aaliyah raised a brow, "Actually, yes. She did, and I believe her. Is that what you want to hear so bad?"
"Why would she tell you that? Unless you made a move on her or somethin'!" Janae accused.
"Bloody hell, Janae. What's wrong with you? You're accusing me of cheating now? That's absurd!" Aaliyah exclaimed. Janae rolls her eyes, shaking her head. "I'm sorry. Okay? This is just..new to me. And the way she be lookin' at you, and don't get me started on that little pet name. She likes you." Janae said. She just wasn't gonna give up. And to be real, Aaliyah kinda liked this side of Janae. She loved how protective she was being. It was cute.
"Love, we're strictly just friends. She is 100% percent straight. She literally has a son at home. And she just calls me that because a lot of Hispanics use that word, okay? It's completely normal. You need to chill out, okay darling? I only want you. I thought we clarified that this morning." Aaliyah stood up, walking over to Janae who leaned against the frame of the other.
"Fine. But I swear if I catch that bitch check you out, it's over for her ass." Janae scoffs, taking a bite of a red licorice.
"Course, love. Now, give me a kiss and go to the movie," Aaliyah smiles. Janae gave her an extra long messy kiss instead of a regular peck, making sure her lipstick was a little smudged too. "Still jealous?" Aaliyah deadpanned. Janae hummed, "Just making sure you know you're mine."
"Oh trust me, I know. Especially when I'm screaming your name." Aaliyah winks. Janae rolls her eyes, walking out of the cube with a small smirk tugged at the corner of her lips.
Aaliyah made her way to the dormitories where majority of the Latinas were. She immediately got looks from the girls in bunks before turning to Ouija's cube. She leaned against the wall as Ouija pulled a shirt over her head. Aaliyah cleared her throat, catching Ouija's attention. "There you are. Where you been mamas?"
"Got a little stalled, my apologies." Aaliyah wiped her lip, the smudged lipstick remains on her thumb. Ouija chuckled, "Movie probably started already. Walk with me." Aaliyah nods, tossing her the headphones, she caught them, slipping them in her jacket pocket. They walked down the hallway in a comfortable silence. Ouija broke it first. "So why you turn down Maria's offer? Twenty percent is a lot."
"I don't deal. It's not my thing." Aaliyah shrugs, wanting to drop the subject but Ouija wasn't gonna let that happen so fast. "You a junkie or somethin'?"
Aaliyah sighs, running a hand over her hair. "Something all those lines. Look lass, I got a long, bad history with drugs in my life. I started over the second I got here. I'm not fuckin' that up for twenty percent." Aaliyah said, fiddling with the bandana around her wrist.
"So what would you do it for?" Ouija stops, Liyah stopping with her to turn and face her, leaning against the wall. "There's nothing in this entire world you can offer me, that'll make me give in." And she was dead serious. "I don't deal drugs, and I certainly don't do them, not anymore." Whether that made them dislike or not, she didn't care. She saw what drugs did to people up close, and wanted no part of it. Let alone the fact that she promised not to touch it after her OD.
"You know what? I respect it. You're true to yourself. As much as it would've been cool workin' with you, I respect your decision. I won't bring up again." Ouija said, both of them starting to walk again. "Thank you. I appreciate that." Aaliyah and Ouija fist bumped. "You know my girl thinks you have a thing for me." Aaliyah spoke up. Ouija looked up and her and chuckled. "If I did, I would already have you. So luckily for her, I don't swing that way."
"Oh please, you think I'm that easy?" Aaliyah held a hand to her chest in offense.
"I know for a fact you're that easy mamas. The hard part of getting you, is your girl cause y'all clearly in love with each other." Ouija shrugs. Aaliyah looked down, once again being reminded that she hadn't said it back to Janae. They haven't even talked about it either. "Time to go separate ways. I'm keepin' these by the way." Ouija's voice pulled her from her thoughts, realizing they were at the common room now.
"Go ahead, I have plenty more. See you later?" Ouija nodded, they did a little handshake before Ouija went to sit next to her friends. Aaliyah walked up to the front, taking the seat Janae saved for her. Janae pressed a kiss to Aaliyah's cheek, passing her licorice. "What'd I miss?" Aaliyah whispered.
"Not much. Just those racist bald bitches interrupting," Janae scoffs lightly. She was just trying to enjoy the movie. She was not in the mood for a fight. Aaliyah on the other hand would always be down for one. "They keep at it, and I'll fuck 'em up for you." Aaliyah pressed a kiss to Janae's shoulder. Glancing back at the white girls, she noticed Taylor sitting with them, looking pretty healed up. Taylor looked at her, shooting the middle finger at her. Aaliyah smirked, blowing her a sarcastic kiss.
"News flash, Dorothy was from Kansas, not Harlem." Sankey said. Aaliyah rolled her eyes, choosing not to indulge in this. Brook on the other hand, decided to respond. "News flash, Judy Garland was from Minnesota, and Diana Ross was from Michigan, so nobody is from Kansas. It's a movie."
Aaliyah suddenly turned in her seat when Sankey said a slur towards Brook. "What the fuck did you just say?" Aaliyah went to get up until Janae held her arm, stopping her from getting up. "Yo, can you shut the fuck up?" Taystee spoke, looking back at them. They got a warning from CO Bayley to quiet down, but that would only work for so long. Janae noticed Judy standing near the door and motioned at Cindy. They seen Judy walk back out. "Your boo? She's not only fair-skinned, but she's fair-wheathered."
Aaliyah honestly kinda expected that from Judy. It was super shocking. "Yeah, she not my boo. It's all for show."
Aaliyah and Janae turned back around just as Sankey started to spit more bullshit. "It's called appropriation, black people stealin' white people's art." Aaliyah rolled her eyes, turning to look at her. "As if white people haven't been stealing black people's culture for centuries. Shut your uneducated cracker ass up." Aaliyah spat.
Brandy leaned forward, the white girls gasping, "Who you callin' a cracker." Wow, they were offended at that but using a slur was unicorns and cupcakes for them.
Janae pulled out her ear buds, turning to flip them off. "Whoa, whoa, whoa. Back it up, Nazi." Cindy threatened.
"Or what? You'll tap dance on over here and beat us up?" Sankey said, getting laughter from the white girls. Poussey stood up, tired of their shit. "Everyone chill out, all right? It's a movie." They were all still ready to go at me, Aaliyah most definitely. CO Coates walked forward, leaning down and unplugging the cord, turning the movie off, the lights went back on. "Everybody back to your bunks. Movie night is over. It's for your own safety, let's go."
"Man, are you kidding me? They didn't even meet The Wiz! The titular character! He's played by Richard Pryor, people!" Taystee exclaimed, visibly upset. The white girls laughed in response. Janae and Aaliyah both stood up. "Bald, white, racist fucking bitches ruined it for everyone." Janae spat.
"Fucking cunts." Aaliyah said. Brandy turned around to face, "The fuck you just call us?" She shoved Janae, knocking her down to the floor. "Oh shit! You gon' regret that man," Cindy exclaimed, pushing everyone back.
Aaliyah leaned down, making sure Janae was okay before tackling Brandy down. "You stupid Nazi bitch!" She jumped on her, throwing punches left and right as her girls cheered her on. Brandy turned them over, ready to throw one until the guards pulled her off. "All right, that's enough! Break it up!" CO Coates held Brandy back. Aaliyah stood up, throwing another punch at Brandy.
CO Bayley grabbed Aaliyah, pulling her arms back as she and Brandy attempted to kick each other. "Which one do we take?! There's only one cell left!" CO Bayley panicked.
"Just take that one!" CO Coates said. Aaliyah's eyes widened as the girls complained. "Yo, she ain't even start it! What the fuck man!" Janae argued. CO Coates let go of Brandy who smirked, she and the white girls laughing. "You're going to the SHU inmate!" CO Bayley dragged Aaliyah away. "She ain't even do shit!" Ouija added in disbelief.
Aaliyah looked at Janae, "Call my dad! Okay?! Call my dad!" Janae nodded, watching as Aaliyah was dragged out.
Janae ran a hand over her mouth, wanting to go over and beat the fuck out of the white girl until Ouija grabbed her arm. "It ain't worth it. Don't get yourself locked up with her." Ouija walked away, catching up with Maria and Dayanara.
Janae kicked the chair in frustration, running a hand over her hair. "Fuck!"
