Aaliyah glances over at the scene, seeing Badison taunt Hoefler. "Aw. I don't get to be roomies with the baby killer no more? I'm gonna miss you, scary mommy." She imitates a baby voice, one of her little followers trips Hoefler, Liyah rolled her eyes. Another, very familiar voice spoke up, Aaliyah looking up from Hoefler fast. "Don't do that baby voice. You know I hate it." It was Carol, holding a red lollipop with a sour face. Clearly unamused by Badison antics. Badison gulps, "Sorry, Carol."

Aaliyah clears her throat, putting the attention on her. Carol eyed her, a small smirk grazing her lips as she pulled the lollipop from her mouth. "You look like shit," was the first thing that fell from her mouth.

Aaliyah tilt her head, pouting slightly. "Well that's no way to greet your enemy's daughter." Carol chuckles, catching all the girls off guard. They half expected her to kill the girl for talking to her like that. But nope, she just laughs in amusement.

"Oh shit, Lissy's daughter," Badison mumbles in realization.

Aaliyah grins, walking over, she wraps her arms around Carol, and surprisingly to everyone, she hugged back. "We need to trim this hair," Carol mumbles, Aaliyah's hair flowing everywhere. She specifically remembered Liyah having short black hair, not flowy long brown curls. "I agree. It's getting hard to maintain." Aaliyah said, pulling away, Carol's hand were on her face, checking for any injuries. Last she heard, Aaliyah was rumored to be getting charged for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

"You okay, little one?" Aaliyah looked away for a split second before shaking her head. "Not really." Carol cut her off, placing her hand on Aaliyah's shoulder and leading the girl to her bunk where they could talk without so many eyes on them. "Hold on." Carol grabs a hair tie, having Aaliyah turn around, she ties Aaliyah's hair up so it wasn't going everywhere. "Okay, sit. Tell me everything."

Carol sat down on the bottom bed, gesturing Aaliyah to sit. Aaliyah carefully crawled over, sitting down next to Carol who carefully put her arms around the younger girl. "When they uh, stormed in the prison, I-I seen one of the men grab onto Janae, and they hurt her, so, I protected her. I shot him, out of nowhere, I don't know what came over me. I just wanted to hurt anyone who touched her, ya know?" Carol nodded, staying quiet so Aaliyah could continue comfortably.

"When I dropped the gun, one of the guys beat me...like badly." Aaliyah could feel Carol's grip subconsciously tighten, almost like she wanted to protect her from any harm. "I don't really remember much after that, it's all a bit of a blur. I just recall dropping to the floor and next thing ya know, I'm waking up from a fucking coma. Broken ribs, some bruised even, just bruising all over my fucking body, and concussion, all that shit." Carol then loosened her grip, not wanting to hurt Aaliyah. That's probably why Aaliyah was gentle when she hugged her.

"You sued this fucker, right?" Carol questioned.

Aaliyah glanced up at her with a small nod, "My dad did. He got 90 days and 1 year probation," she mumbled. Carol huffed, pissed off about that. It was bullshit. He should've gotten way longer. After all, he tried to fucking kill her. Carol was able to notice Aaliyah discomfort with the subject, quick to change it. "Mmm. Who's this Janae person? She a friend?"

Aaliyah smiled faintly. "No, she's uh, she's my girlfriend. And, I don't know where she is, or how to find her. Everyone got thrown in different prisons." Aaliyah explained, Carol rubbing the girl's shoulder. "You'll find her. You always do." Liyah nodded slowly, laying her head on Carol's chest. Carol smiled, brushing the few strands hair that fell in front of Liyah's face.

"How's your mother?" Carol asked. Aaliyah was starting to wonder why Carol cared so much. It was almost like they were more than enemies. Liyah took slow breath, looking down at her hands. "About that, uhm, my mum died..." Aaliyah glanced up at the older woman, searching her features for a reaction. She quite surprisingly, got a small giggle from Carol. "How'd the bitch finally go out?"

Aaliyah pursed her lips, "She killed herself in my bedroom after she found out she had cancer." Carol raised her brows, pulling the lollipop from her mouth. "Oh what a bitch. As if she hasn't ruined your life even more, way to rub salt in the wound." Aaliyah nods in agreement, "That's what I said. What kind of mother does that? I'm gonna be traumatized when I step in there now." Carol scoffs, "I can't even be surprised. She always stooped that low."

"You know what's worse?" Aaliyah pulled out a piece of folded paper from her pocket, Carol looking at her with curious eyes. "Look, my mum's suicide note she left, dedicated to me and my homosexuality." Carol was quick to take it from her, pulling her glasses back on to read it. Alec had given it to Aaliyah at the hospital when they mailed Aaliyah's belongings to his house after the riot.

Carol's eyes skimmed over it, a scowl falling on her lips when finished it. "She is such a hypocrite. Don't listen to this shit. She's just trying to make you feel guilty." She passed it back to Aaliyah, the English girl tucking it back into her pocket, she looked at Carol in curiosity. "Hold up. What do you mean she's a hypocrite?" Aaliyah squinted her eyes at Carol.

Carol huffs, pulling the lollipop from her mouth again. "Well, since the bitch is dead, I might as well tell you now. It's not really much of a secret around here and you should find out from me before any of these cookies go and tell you themselves." Aaliyah turned to face Carol, now very curious for what Carol had to say. It must've been very important if Alissa made Carol promise not to tell Aaliyah.

"You're mother and I had a very complicated relationship from the beginning. She got put in my bunk, and we didn't get along. She was mouthy, she didn't listen, and she took out a few of my girls when we put a hit out on her. So, I took a liking to her, figured we could work together. She had a dealer on the outside, and she knew her shit, so we came to a truce." Aaliyah raised a brow, wondering where she was going with this. She knew majority of the story already so what didn't she know?

"We ended up becoming good friends. Until one day, we got into this huge argument. I can't even remember what it was about. But, I do remember holding a shiv to her neck, and...she, uh, she kissed me." Aaliyah's eyes widened, turning her body fully. "You're lying. She wasn't-my mum- Alissa wasn't gay. Bullshit!" She objected. Carol scoffed, not expecting any less of a reaction like this. "Bulltrue!" Aaliyah huffed, shaking her head, it wasn't making sense. Alissa was so against it. There was no way she could've been gay...

Aaliyah went quiet, urging Carol to continue. "Anyways, we were way more than just friends. Which is why I was hurt when she betrayed me." Carol's mind flickered to Frieda, her relationship with Alissa being so similar to hers and Frieda's. Speaking of, she did need to discuss Frieda's arrival with Aaliyah soon. "If I'm being honest, I think the reason she was so hard on you when she got out was probably my fault."

Aaliyah shook her head, "No, no she's always been that way. But, I guess you're right, she is a fucking hypocrite. All that time during prison she yelled at me for liking girls when she was fucking you the entire time. What a slag." Carol raised a brow at Aaliyah's language. She must've forgotten that Aaliyah cursed all the time. Aaliyah furrowed her brows, turning back to Carol, "Wait, hold on just a minute- you're gay?" Carol rolled her eyes, not replying.

Aaliyah giggles, "I knew it. I love when I'm right." Carol scoffs, patting the girl's shoulder anyways. Aaliyah groaned suddenly, feeling pain in her body again. Carol furrowed her brows, looking down at Aaliyah. "Lift your shirt, lemme see." Aaliyah laid down, pulling up her shirt, her ribs wrapped up but she had bruises all along her stomach. Carol had her sit up, pulling up her shirt, she mentally winced at the bruising along Aaliyah's back. "You got meds?"

Aaliyah shook her head, "Nope. But fuck it feels like I've been hit by a train. I'd take anything to get rid of it." Carol raised a brow, knowing what the girl was hinting. She got up from the bed, Aaliyah pulling her shirt back down to lay on her back, it hurt but it was better than sleeping on her side where it would target the ribs. "No. You're not getting back on that shit under my watch, got it?" Carol said strictly, pointing her lollipop at Aaliyah.

The girl sighed, nodding. "I'll get you some meds to help with the pain tomorrow. As for now, you need some rest. Here." Carol grabbed a bottle of sleeping pills, handing one to Aaliyah with a bottle of water. "This should help you sleep. I'll have one of the girls bring you some ice for your back, okay?" Aaliyah nodded, swallowing the pill and laying back down carefully. Carol pulled the blanket over Aaliyah, brushing the girls hair back.

"Get some rest kid. No one's gonna bother you here."

It was lunch time when Aaliyah woke up from her nap, still in a shit ton of pain. She stood up, re-tying her hair before walking out. She spotted Carol's table, the woman playing bridge with three others as Badison was telling them some joke. "His dick was huge. I said, "Hey, I wanted to fuck a pipe like that, I would've gone over to my step-dad's." Badison chuckles at her own joke. Carol grimaced, "Ugh. That's gross." Aaliyah internally agreed, incest was absolutely disgusting.

Badison stutters, trying to explain the joke, "My step-dad's a plumber. Get it?"

"Second you made us think of incest, your funny was dead." Carol said, putting her thumb down. Aaliyah chuckles to herself, deciding to make her way over as the three inmates left, giving Badison and Carol room to discuss. "I said step-dad," Badison mumbles. "It's a fail. Let it go." Carol replied, fixing up her cards.

Aaliyah took a seat on Carol's right, Badison looking at her with a raised brow. "Whoa there new cookie, you can't just sit down wherever you please. Carol, you believe this?" Badison stumbles over her words in shock, Aaliyah shooting her an annoyed look. "I can sit wherever the hell I please. You got a problem with that, cookie?" Aaliyah spoke, a glare directed at the shorter girl.

"You kiddin' me? You wanna go, Wednesday?" Badison challenged. Carol glanced up, seeing Aaliyah's fist clench, she knew Liyah didn't have the best control over her anger and the last thing she needed was Liyah getting extra time. So she was quick to break this up. "Enough. Don't be a child." Badison looks at Carol in shock. "Carol, this is Alissa's daughter, you kiddin' me right now? She's a snake." Carol glares at her, "What did I say about saying that name?"

Badison sighs, diverting her eyes back to the table. Aaliyah smiles to herself as Carol spoke again, "she can sit wherever she wants." Badison huffed, already starting to dislike the Brit. First, she threatens her, and now she was trying to take her place? No way. "Now, what do you got for me?" Aaliyah leaned forward, growing more interested. Now what could this possibly be about? Badison sighs, leaning forward, "I found Frieda. She just got out of Ad Seg. Not sure where she got assigned yet."

Aaliyah raised a brow at the mention of Carol's old enemy. "Bitch skated into Florida. Got any info I don't already know?" Carol questioned, Badison having a look where clearly she didn't. "Then you still got jack shit. Guess you broke that arm for nothing, huh? Now, that's funny." Aaliyah let out a small giggle at Carol's remark, Badison shooting her a glare.

Aaliyah cleared her throat, turning to Carol, "I almost forgot to tell you, but I heard the CO's chattin' and apparently in Ad Seg little miss Frieda tried to kill herself. And she also ratted out my friend for a murder she didn't commit just to get put in Florida." Carol raised a brow, having no clue about that. She turns to Badison, "See? Aaliyah here gave me more information than you and she's been here for no more than a day. Take some notes."

Carol turns back to Aaliyah, ignoring the salty expression of Badison. "I see she's still a snake." Aaliyah nodded in agreement. "Mhm. If I knew she was in minimum with me, I would've killed her a long time ago." Carol smirks at that, patting Aaliyah's hand. "Ladies," Carol called the group of ladies back over. "That's it?" Badison asked, still a little baffled by Carol's sudden mother daughter relationship with Aaliyah.

"Unless you magically learned how to play bridge well, then yeah, that's it." Aaliyah waved her fingers at the fake blonde, Badison sighed, getting up from the table as two other ladies sat down. The other one a bit surprised Aaliyah took her seat. "What are you standing there for? Go get her something to eat, she's starving." Carol ordered. Aaliyah holding her head up with her hands as the woman took of to grab Aaliyah a tray.

"You know how to play?" Carol questioned, placing cards in front of Aaliyah.

"Yup. One good trait from Maleficent herself," Aaliyah mutters. Carol chuckling at her statement. "Mhm. Your mother was pretty damn good at it. Beat me every damn time."

Aaliyah chuckles, wishing she could've seen that. "Let's see if I take after her then, shall we?"
