"Somehow
I just can't say enough
How much I appreciate
You being in this world."

AGES AGO THERE WAS A PROPHECY, of a powerful witch who would bring destruction to the world. With just a flick of her hand, body's would fly, necks would snap, and crimson blood would spill like endless waterfalls everywhere she went.
An unstoppable force that not even the most powerful mage could be able to stop.
Many believed it, spreading the prophecy around everywhere they went, warning everyone about the evil heartless witch that would bring an end to the world.
Others not so much, they said it was a foolish story tale that was only created to bring fear to the people.
Heo Ari was one of them.
Although there was a time when she believed it, result of the bedtime stories that Master Heo would tell her. The girl later on realized that her grandfather was only messing with her, and that he was simply doing it to toughen her up.
She had to say she was thankful for that.
After all, all she could do was sit around and watch in jealousy as the other kids her age ran and played laughing amongst themselves, while most of her days had to be spend in an uncomfortable bed consuming different kinds of medicines and concoctions to stabilize her weak heart.
It had been like that for as long as she could remember.
And she hated it.
As time went on, she got used to the pitiful looks people would send her way. Everyone treated her like she was some sort of fragile doll that it's only purpose was to sit around and look pretty. Like she was made out of glass and at any moment would break into tiny pieces without any way of puzzling her back together.
But she couldn't complain.
She was thankful of having an amazing grandfather that took her in when her parents didn't and to have the all-so-famous four seasons as her friends. They always treated her as if she was one of them, even when she was just a sick weak girl without any power they never treated her as such.
Specially Jang Wook.
He knew what it felt to be excluded, to be considered as weak and incapable of doing what he was meant to do. All because of his father's actions, the drastic decision of closing his son's gate of energy, haunting Jang Wook every single day.
Which is probably why Heo Ari and Jang Wook complemented each other so well. Like two pieces of a puzzle strictly design to fit together. They understood one another like no other person did.
Therefore no one seemed shocked when the oblivious pair started acting as something more than just best friends. Everyone had noticed the obvious, meaningful connection between the pair.
Everyone expect them.
When would they notice their feelings for each other?
And if they did, would it be meant to be?
Or would fate push them away?
Keep reading to find out!

I don't own Alchemy of souls.
All the rights go to the creators of the show. The only character I own is Heo Ari and other characters I might add.
I thought this was would be harder to write but surprisingly it wasn't that bad.
I'm scared of the two last episodes 😭
I want a happy ending but I don't want to get my hopes up.
