backstory; roslin grew up in russia with her family. she loved dancing from a young age. she did it all the time, no matter where she was. and she was really good at it to. when she was 14, her brother moved to america. he came to visit, of course, but she missed him. when she turned 18, she moved there as well. she danced for several different artists, taking every job she could. by the time she was 23, she was considered one of the best up and coming dancers. she began doing choreography when she was about 26. she had done the choreography for a musical in new york at one of the smaller theaters. it was a retelling of the story of romulus and remus from roman mythology. lin manuel miranda was there, and got her contact information before calling her and asking if she would be interested in doing the choreography for hamilton. she took the job. she became close with all of the cast

two years after the debut of hamilton, she still worked with them. she had stayed late helping one of the newcomers with the choreography. no one else was there. just her and him. and things took a turn for the worse. it was daveed that found her. he had called several times, and no answer. so he went to check on her. he found her in one of the side rooms. her knees were pulled to her chest, arms wrapped around them as she stared blankly ahead of her. tears stained her cheeks, her shirt torn. her pants laid to the side, along with her bra. she was oblivious to everything. bruises were already forming over her body, and she had dried blood from her nose. she didn't look at him, didn't say anything even when he tried to ask her what happened. he picked her up and took her to the hospital. she was quiet the entire time, staring out the window. when they got to the hospital, they took her back and did a rape kit. and it confirmed the worse. she stayed in the hospital for a few days. she didn't say anything the first two, still nearly completely oblivious to everything around her, frozen. daveed stayed with her the entire time. when she finally said something, it was just a quiet 'im sorry' before she began crying. when they left the hospital, she refused to talk about it. that was when her alcohol problem started. she had just simply had a few drinks one night. and it made her forget everything. she felt, normal almost. and she didn't want to give that feeling up. so she drank. and drank.
and drank. anything to make her feel normal again.

headcanons for your relationship; daveed is the only person other than her brother who has ever been able to help her through her anxiety and panic attacks, or calm her down after nightmares and help her fall asleep. She had never thought about singing or anything before him, she always sung to herself and all, and liked it, but didn't think she was very good. He convinced her to do it, and her first rapping gig was a feature on one of his albums.
