"I will actually kill you if you hit my seat my one more fucking time!" Kallie turned around to glare at Lando, the driver's eye widening at her outburst. "My bad!" Kami giggles, sipping on the apple juice Lewis bought her at the hotel. "What are you giggling about?" Lando looked at the small girl in offense, and she glared at him before she started to burst out in tears. "What did you do to her?" Kallie glanced in the mirrors as she was driving.
"I didn't do anything! She just started crying!" Lando defends.
Kaylen smirked, he knew exactly what game this baby was playing and it was amusing. It was the same shit he pulled to get his sister's in trouble for "hitting" him. "She's really smart for her age." The car stopped right next to the familiar Mercedes, Lewis leaning against the car waiting for them. And then he noticed the crying child and quickly opened the door. He pulled Kami out of the seat and held her close, "what did you guys do to her?"
"Lando accused her of laughing at him," Kaylen said, climbing out of the car before he could get hit by the younger driver. Lewis glared at him before returning to soothing the girl, her crying slowing down. He turned around and Kami smiled at Lando, "she's smiling at me! She did that on purpose!" Lando accused, and she started to cry again. Lewis turned to glare at him as Kallie climbed out of the car. "Shut your mouth. Get the boards out."
"She's evil," Lando mumbled, climbing out of the car.
Kallie walked over to Anthony who had been watching the scene in amusement. "It's so good to see you again." She spoke as he brought her into a comfortable embrace. Anthony had watched over her in karting and her Formula E career. He went to many of her races and watched her win many championships. He was best friends with Jae-hyun, so he was a big part of Kallie's life. If Jae couldn't make it to a race, Anthony would go, so she would have some support. He was very big on support.
"I could say the same. You've been doing wonderful. That performance in Jeddah was amazing." He praised, rubbing her back. She had won that race in Saudi, and Lewis was 3rd, with Max in 2nd. It was a good race for her and the team. Kaylen had come in 4th so he was showing lots of improvement. "Thank you. It was such a good race. It still feels so weird that I'm leading in points. It reminds me of my first year in Formula E. I hope I can kinda repeat that year butย actually win."
"Mama! Ocean!" Kami interrupts, pointing to the beach with an excited giggle.
"You mind if I take her down to the water?" Lewis asked, seeing how anxious the girl was. "Go for it. Just be careful," Kallie smiled. Another car pulled up, Jae-hyun, and Kaikara both climbing out. Kallie helped the boys with the boards as Anthony, Jae-hyun, and Kaikara all talked. Sang had pulled up on his motorcycle, as he had a condo in Australia, so he didn't stay in a hotel like the others. "You got my board?" He asked, looking to Kaylen.
"Right here!" Kaylen held it up and Sang climbed off his bike, pulling off his helmet and setting it down.
"Where's my grandchild?" Kaikara asked, noticing the lack of giggles.
"Down at the beach with Lewis," Anthony answered with a smile. After seeing his son interact with Kami, he was all for Kallie and Lewis. Back then he wasn't as supportive because of how different Kallie was. She was a heart breaker, and he obviously didn't want his son to get hurt. But, now he realized they were meant to be all this time. Kaikara smiled brightly, "aw, that's so sweet."
"She's chosen him," Jae-hyun said knowingly.
Lewis sat down on the sand, watching as Kamiyah dug into the sand to search for a seashell like in Moana. "Shrimp!" Kami giggled, holding up a very alive shrimp in her hands. Lewis's eyes widened as she held it towards him, "whoa! Okay, how about we put it back in the ocean? You wanna put it in the ocean?" He asked, not wanting to freak out or Kallie would come over.
"Ocean!" She nods, and he stood up, taking her hand and walking her over to the water. He held onto her as she set the shrimp into the water. "Moana!" She cheered, and he chuckled, walking her back. He picked her up and they walked back over where everyone was talking and getting the surfboards ready. Kaikara eagerly took Kami from Lewis, lifting her up as the girl giggles. "Gogo!" Kara chuckled, pressing a kiss to the girl's cheek.
Kallie sat down, the sand digging into her knees as she waxed her board. Lewis picked up his board and set it down, kneeling down to wax his board. She raised her brow, "you couldn't have done that where you were?" She deadpanned. She received a cheeky smile in return. "Kamiyah found a shrimp in the sand, and I won't lie, I did freak out a lil' bit. But, I pulled myself together and she returned the shrimp to the ocean. Don't look at me if she wants to leave home when she's sixteen to return the Heart of Te Fiti."
Kallie chuckled at the Moana reference, setting the wax bar to the side. "I'll be sure to remember that."
"You take Miyah to the beach a lot?" He asked, watching as she stood up, sticking her board into the sand. "Yeah, we have a property on the beach in South Africa we stayed at most of the time. She loves the beach." He stood up with his board, his was a bit bigger than hers, but theirs were both small compared to Kaylen, Sang, and Jae-hyun's boards. Those three were incredibly tall, so they had the biggest boards. "Kallie, my board looks small!" Lando complains, gesturing to the orange surfboard she bought for him.
"What do you mean? It looks perfect," Kallie said in confusion.
"No, it's small. Look at Kaylen's and then look at mine!" He whined, getting an eye roll from her. "You're shorter than him, which means smaller board. You have the ability to control this board. If I gave you a tall one, you would die. I'm so serious." Kallie replies, her daughter giggling in Jae-hyun's arms as Lando frowned. "Stop laughing at me!" He said in offense, pointing an accusing finger at her. Kami frowned, and he tried to backtrack but it was too late because she was in tears.
"Stop making my girl cry!" Lewis took the girl into his arms, rubbing her back in a soothing manner. Kaylen smirked, giving Kami a high five and she giggled. Lando's eyes widened, "are you seeing this? It's like she had some sort of vendetta against me!" Kaylen snorts, the baby glaring at the McLaren driver, "that's probably because you tried to feed her pickles that night we watched her in Bahrain."
"How was I supposed to know she was scared of them?" Lando scoffed.
"Why would Kallie give her child something she's terrified of?" Kaylen deadpanned, slapping him in the back of the head.
"Let's just surf before I drown him," Kallie mumbled, picking up her board.
"No, no, sunscreen first," Kaikara scolded. She tossed the bottle to her and she huffed, opening it up. Kami smiled, allowing her mum to rub the sunscreen on her. "Can you get me?" Lewis asked. She gave him an annoyed look but still turned him around and spread it around his back. She took Kami from his arms and then rubbed some onto his chest. "Help," Kami mumbled, and she put some in her hand, chuckling when the girl rubbed the sunscreen onto Lewis's chest with a concentrated look.
"You too, Mama!" Kami says. Kallie chuckled, and Lewis took the bottle from her. He squeezed some into Kami's awaiting hand and the girl rubbed it along her mum's collarbone. "Good job," Kallie pressed a kiss to her cheek. "Kallie, can you get my back?" Lando asked, and she rolled her eyes at him. "Come on, I really rather have you do it over Kaylen," he says, and the driver looks at him in offense. "Don't look at me like that. Your boyfriend terrifies me."
"Fine." Kallie huffed, going over to him. He turned around and she took the sunscreen, rubbing it along his back. Lewis set Kami down and she over to Kaikara, the woman quickly scooping her up with a grin. "Thank you," Lando mumbled, turning around and taking the bottle back. He walked over to his board only for Kaylen to trip him in the sand, this causing the Lando to chase after him.
Kallie picked her board back up, stabbing it back into the sand. Lewis came up behind her, setting his hands on her shoulders. "Relax, I just missed your back." He said, and she shivered, the cold sunscreen making contact with her back. His hands wandered lower until he was on his knees, turning her around so he could rub it along her legs. She smirked, loving the image of him on his knees for her. It may have added a little bit of boost to her ego.
Before he could speak, she was picking up her board and running down to the water. The rest followed, walking down to the water. Kallie sat on her board, and Lewis helped put Kami on the board with her mum. She had on a life jacket, obviously. The rest of them swum further out to catch the big waves. Well, Lando stayed near Kallie, probably because he was terrible at surfing. "Whoa," Kami awed, putting her hand in the water.
Lewis climbed onto his board and moved closer to his girls. Kallie points over to Kaikara who was catching a big wave. "Look at Gogo!" Kami smiled, cheering as Kaikara caught the wave and surfed it, the others backing out because of how big it was. "Awesome!" Kami cheered, clapping her hands.
"Wanna see Mama do that?" Kallie asked.
Kami nods excitedly, clapping her hands together. "Can you watch her?" Kallie asked Lewis, and he nods, taking the girl and putting her on his own surfboard. Kallie laid on her stomach, paddling the board, stopping by her dad. He points down to an upcoming wave, "can you catch that one?" Kallie nods, moving towards it. Lewis holds Kami up so she could see, the girl cheering as her mum surfed a wave even bigger than the one Kaikara did.
"Your mum is the coolest," Lewis spoke in admiration.

She walked over to her race engineer, James discussing things over with her. She settled on soft tyres this time, unlike the rest of the drivers who mostly resided on mediums. She was pole position, so she knew softs would give her the best start. She needed to give herself a good gap because Kaylen was right behind her in P2. Once they got the signal to get back in the car, she quickly pulled her balaclava on, making sure her bun wouldn't fall loose.
Darren passed her the helmet and she pulled it on, making sure it was all good and adjusted to her liking. She walked over to her car and stepped in, sliding herself into the cockpit. They did her buckles and she put on the steering wheel herself. James did the normal radio check, making sure everything was good. On the signal, she led the formation lap, lining up on the grid first, her brother right behind her in P2, and Lewis in P3. Max was in P4, due to the three out-qualifying him. To say it wasn't a good start for Red Bull was an understatement.
Light went out, and she pressed on the accelerator hard. Into the first corner Max had gotten a better start than Lewis, quickly overtaking him, along with Kaylen, the driver also getting a rough start. He battled with Kallie until Kaylen got involved again. The two Kumalo's defended from Max, leaving Lewis to deal with him, and he did. Unfortunately just before the yellow flag, Kaylen overtook her, knocking her into P2. "Who is it?"
"Charles. He spun off into the gravel. Slow down." James answered.
"What's the lineup?" She questioned, following behind Kaylen as he followed the safety car.
"Kaylen, you, Hamilton, Verstappen, and Russell." He replied swiftly.
The safety car lasted 3 laps before they were given the signal to race again. Kaylen was under a lot of pressure having Kallie behind him. Even if he had better pace, it felt like he was driving a fucking tractor with her behind him. "How's my pace? I feel like I'm slow." He expressed in worry, just able to defend his position when his sister gained DRS. "You're pace is good. It's better than Kalliope's," his race engineer spoke.
"Should I push or not? Because I'm being attacked by my own fucking sister. I shouldn't have to deal with defending right now when I'm in the lead. She needs to back off. Can you guys tell her to back off? This is ridiculous." He expressed, this time his voice was coated with frustration as he continued to defend from his sister.
"Copy that. We'll go over with the team," he replied. "Go faster."
Thankfully, well for the others, there was a yellow flag, as Alex Albon crashed, spreading gravel and debris along the track. They slowed down behind the safety car, majority of the drivers still in their same positions from the first yellow flag. Russell and Sainz both pitted, which didn't go over well so good when it turned into a red flag. The cars lined up in the pitlane, and the drivers began to make their ways out of the car.
Kaylen glanced at his sister, she was pretty unfazed, chatting about with James, a smile on her face as her team switched her tyres to mediums. She looked relaxed, meanwhile he was stressed the fuck out. He was a good driver, but being in a good car was something he was still adjusting to. He started his career off in a Williams, so you could imagine how big of a change this was for him. He walked over to the garage, he didn't even feel like talking with anyone, so everything his engineer was saying went through one ear and out the other.
"I just don't have a good feeling about this race. The energy feels different," Kallie chuckles, leaning against the bar as she talked with James. "Yeah, it happens. What's that thing you say again?" The young American asked. She smiled, chuckling softly, "gotta follow God's plan?" He nods, "yeah, that's it. Just gotta follow his plan."
She shrugs softly, looking behind her and waving over at her daughter who was sitting in the garage with Kaikara. Kami waved back with a giggle. She turned back to James and he pulled up the footage of Lewis's defense on Max. She watched it intently and pursed her lips, her engineer waiting on her reaction. "That's- that was a good move. I would've done the same thing. No shame there."
"You say that, but then you'll call him all kinds of shit when he gets in your way out there," James comments, the driver pulling her balaclava back on.
"If I call him anything, it'll be for a reason." She chuckles, taking her helmet from Darren and pulling it back on, the cameras on her again. "I'm aware. You cursed Stroll out in three different languages during qualifying," James snorts. She shrugs, mock innocence, "..he shouldn't have bumped into me." She walked back over to her car and climbed inside, the mechanics working around her.
They were finally given the go, following behind the safety car. They did what was similar to a formation lap before lining up on their grid positions. They started, Kaylen getting away quite well. Kallie still trailed behind him, half a second. She wasn't worried about Lewis, the driver more focused on defending his position from Max. Lap 12, she swiftly overtook her brother on the straights and he couldn't think about it much when he had Lewis and Max behind him.
Lap 18, yet another flag was rasied, a yellow one, because there was mechanical issues with George's car, causing fire to happen at the back of it. He stopped right at the end of the pitlane so now it was closed, meaning no safety car pit stops. Thankfully it didn't last long and they started back at normal pace. Kaylen and Kallie still had a half second gap, but he made no efforts to pass and she wasn't focused on defending unless he tried to overtake. She tried to stretch the gap but it was no use when they had very similar speeds.
"These tyres are knackered. I need to pit soon, let's go softs again," Kallie spoke, feeling herself losing grip on the track, almost sliding as she took a turn on lap 28 and turn 22. "How many places will I drop if we pit soon?" She questioned. "Maybe two or three, right behind Lewis or Fernando," he answered. "It might be risky to pit, but I'm just not getting anywhere with these mediums," she replied.
"Box, box."
She pitted, the stop not lasting too long, but it also wasn't extremely fast. She landed right behind Lewis, who was in P3, right behind Max. The Mercedes driver glanced in his mirror, noticing the familiar car. "Which Jaguar sibling is behind me?" He questioned, not able to see the number or helmet. "Appears to be Kallie, she just came out of the pits. She's faster." Bono informed.
"In my shadow I see," Lewis mumbled to himself, seeing her car get closer to him.
They came up on the straights, she gained DRS and managed to overtake him. "Too easy," she huffed, wishing he put up a better fight, but his car was shit this weekend. She caught up to Max and Kaylen, as the two were battling for P1. They came up on a corner, Max went on the inside, Kaylen on the outside, and Kallie found a gap, so she took it. Then suddenly, Kaylen's car slowed, his engine blowing out. He drove onto the gravel, stopping the car. The back caught fire, similar to what happened to George but the fire was way worse.
"Is he okay? I seen smoke." Kallie spoke in confusion as she tried to focus on the track, slowing down due to the red flag. Jae-hyun turned on the radio to speak so his daughter wouldn't freak out. "He's okay, just an engine failure, take a breath. Come back to the pitlane." He answered.
They lined up in the pitlane, Kallie climbing out of her car and ripping off her helmet and balaclava. She took a deep breath, holding her hands over her head. "Is he out?" She asked, Darren leading her over to the engineers. "He's out, don't worry." Sang reassured, and she sighed in relief. Kaylen was a bit bummed out, but these things happen, he couldn't control it. After giving a hug to Kallie, he went back over to hang out with George.
The race restarted again, and Max was leading, herself in P2, and Lewis right behind in P3. She got a better start, so it was a battle between the two on the first corner, the crowd cheered loudly as the rookie overtook the champion. "Amazing stuff, Kallie! Keep pushing!" James praised, really impressed with her results this early into the season. "Not over yet, but we got this. It's ours. Let's take it home," she grinned, her mood far more uplifted upon her brother cheering her on.
Unfortunately, on the next corner, Max overtook by going on her inside. The crowd booed upon seeing this. Lap 49, she was half a second from him. Max locked up, getting caught on the grass which slowed him enough for her to speed past him. "That's the last time I'm overtaking him. Fuck, this kid is like a bug that won't go away. Just keeps buggin' the fuck outta me." Kallie spoke, her voice laced with annoyance. Her message was played on the screen, which got plenty of laughs.
Lap 54 out of 58, another flag was waved, and they got a safety car. Kevin Magnussen had blown a tyre, courtesy of nicking the wall, leaving debris out on track. Kallie weaved her way through to avoid the debris but there was far too much and she wasn't the only one to say this. Lewis also made a comment to his race engineer about it. Not seconds later, the crowd booed as they called the third red flag of the race. "Red flag, red flag, head back to the pitlane," James warned abruptly. "Are you serious? The fuck is going on?" She expressed in frustration as she was perfectly content with her current position.
They got into the pitlane again, and she wasn't pleased.
Kallie pulled off the steering wheel and lifted her visor, exhaustion settling in. God, this race was definition of chaotic. She climbed out of the car and walked over to her garage, frustration her only emotion as she walked over to her dad. "I have no tyres available, and now they want to restart? Fucking ridiculous. I had it won." She scowls in disdain, glancing at the monitor where they went to showing Lewis, to then putting the camera on her.
"You've got the pace, you'll be okay. You know how to defend from Lewis," Jae-hyun assured her, setting a hand on her back. His words soothing her frustration. "It feels like were teenagers again, fucking hell. I hate it." Kallie spoke, running a hand over her hair as she turned around and headed back to her car, Darren handing her the balaclava.ย
Kallie huffs tiredly, pulling off her hair tie and bending over, she shook her curls out. She pulled the balaclava over her head and Darren tucked her hair down. She pulled her helmet on next before getting back into the car. The race soon restarted, the safety car leading them back to the grid lineup. Majority of them warmed up their tyres, but she absolutely could not do that.
She took a calm breath, the pressure of only two laps left starting to sink in. She had never won in Australia before but she always got so much support from the fans there, due to her sister being quite popular there. She had to take home this win. All of that couldn't have been for nothing. Lights went out, she got a decent start, she, Lewis, and Max keeping their positions but behind them was absolute chaos.
"Red flag, red flag!" James informed.
"I can tell!" She retorts, the crowd making that extremely obvious.
Charles Leclerc, out. Alex Albon, out. George Russell, out. Kaylen Kumalo, out. Logan Sargeant, out. Nyck de Vries, out. Esteban Ocon, out. Pierre Gasly, out.
"Just end the fucking race already, this is too much," Kallie complained, getting out of the car and pulling the balaclava off. She walked over to her engineers, eyes watching the screen as they showed replays of the crashes. "If they never restarted this wouldn't have happened. Idiots," she muttered to herself.
She walked into the garage, sitting herself next to Jae-hyun as he was trying to get information about the restart. She watched on the screen as they got the cars lined up in order.
After what felt like forever, she got back to her car, around the same time Lewis did. He smirked at her, and she gave him a sarcastic smile. She pulled on her balaclava, Darren tucking her hair back under. She climbed into the car, settling herself nicely. This was basically just a photo finish and prayed this would finally end the race cause she could not handle one more fucking flag unless it was that chequered one waiting for her to cross.
She followed behind the safety car, Lewis short ways behind her. Coming up on the last corner, she crossed the chequered flag, the crowd applauding her win. "Well, that's one way to win race. Very lengthy win, but it was worth it. Good job, team, everyone did great. Good weekend for us. I'm trying to keep my words limit because my English is poor. Love you, babygirl." Kallie chuckled, and she knew Jae-hyun would make sure Kami heard the message.
She slowed down in the pitlane, the teams all lined up and applauding the drivers. Kallie parked at the 1st place sign, and climbed out of her car. She quickly got herself weighted and pulled off her helmet and balaclava. She walked over to her team, hugging onto them and she looked to the main camera that was filming her on the big screen. "Three wins, and that's only the beginning. This is how a champion performs. Who looks like the rookie now?"
That was shot was fired directly at Christian Horner, who had said she was "just another rookie who act like she's a know it all. I don't see champion potential in her."
The crowd was certainly shocked at her boldness, but applauded it anyways. It wasn't everyday you come across a driver who wasn't afraid to speak her mind. Most of them were too scared to be confrontational, but she thrived in it. It's why so many people in her PR team quit when they first started working for her when was in Formula E. Now she had a solid team who were completely used to this, and stuck around anyways. She didn't let disrespect slide. So obviously she was gonna be iconic and call out Horner on live television.
In all honesty, it was just heat of the moment. She originally planned to ignore him.
She turned around, picking up her daughter, she pressed a kiss to her cheek. "You are my world." Kami smiled, hugging onto her mum. She spotted Lewis and reached out, "Lewis!" He still had his helmet on so it was a wonder that she knew who he was. He chuckled, picking her from Kallie's hand, the girl setting her hands on his helmet. Kallie went off to get weighted, trusting Lewis with her daughter.
Kami pushed up his visor and smiled at his brown eyes, pressing her head to the helmet. "Lightning McLaren!" She cheered, hugging onto him. Lewis chuckled at her inaccurate pronunciation of Lightning McQueen. But her heart was in the right place and that made him happy.
He handed her back to Kaikara, hugging her one last time before going off to get interviewed, Kallie already doing hers. After that, they were in the cold room. Kallie grabbed her water, drinking the whole thing and grabbing another one. Then she pulled on the 1st place cap and sat down on the middle chair. Lewis joined her, grabbing a water and putting on a cap. He sat down next to her, the woman watching the replays on the screen.
Max joined them, replacing his caps and grabbing a water. "I thought you had hit him right there," he comments when they put the replay of Kallie taking that gap and then Kaylen going into the gravel.
"Me too, but then I remembered the smoke and I was confused," Kallie responds.
The next replays continued and Kallie couldn't help but smile like a proud parent when Logan Sargeant had crashed into Nyck de Vries. "That is such a beautiful sight to see. I love when he eats his words. It just makes my day. I'm gonna send flowers to Logan," she spoke casually. She just knew her fans would eat this up. They loved every single crumb they got of Kallie and Nyck. Their rivalry was filled with such amusement and pettiness.
"I thought it was fake, but wow, you really hate each other," Max said in genuine surprise.
"Some rivalries are meant to last," Kallie shrugged.

Kallie walked into her hotel room after picking Kami up from her mother who had offered to babysit so her daughter could celebrate her win. "I want Lewis," Kami whined as she was set down on the bed, her mum drunkenly stumbling into the bathroom. "You can see him tomorrow when we leave," she said from the bathroom. Kami frowned, grabbing the remote and pressing the red button that turned on the TV.
Kallie frowned, looking down at her phone as she washed her hands. She quickly dried them and picked up her phone, clicking on the message. She hummed, exchanging texts with the other person. Kami looked up as her mum came from the bathroom, she still frowned at the idea of no Lewis. "You are in luck. Mum has to be somewhere, so how do you feel about staying with Lewis?"
Kami grinned, cheering in excitement, "Lewis!"
Kallie nods, packing up the diaper bag pulling it over her shoulder. She turned off the TV and picked up Kami, "let's go see Lewis." She walked into the elevator, clicking on his floor. She only knew because he texted her it, just in case she had to drop of Kami, or if she wanted to come over by herself. She soon got to his door and knocked, Kami also copying her movements and knocking. Lewis pulled open the door, and she sighed in relief, "hey, I have to meet with...someone. So, do you mind watching her?"
"Sure, it's no problem." Lewis took Kami in his arms, the girl hugging him with a smile. He took the bag from Kallie, silently wondering if she was drunk, or high. "You aren't driving, right?" He questioned. "What? No. I'm not stupid. I'm just going down to the beach. It's walkable. Thank you for watching her. This means a lot. Be good for Lewis, okay? I love you, babygirl." Kallie pressed a kiss to her head before rushing off.
Lewis furrowed his brows, backing into the room. "Do you know who your mum's meeting?" He asked, setting her on the bed. Kami just stared at him and he nods, remembering she was only 2. "You wanna watch a movie?" He asked, grabbing the remote and laying down on the bed. She was quick to crawl over and lay next to him, his arm going around her with a chuckle. "Moana?" He asked, receiving a nod.
"Moana!" Kami giggles, and he clicked on the movie.

"How'd you get my number?" Kallie smirked, holding her heels in one hand and a glass of tequila in the other as she walked on the soft sand, the gentle wind moving through her hair. "You gave it to me. You were drunk, and told me if I wanted to learn how to drive, to call you." He answered, turning out, holding the napkin she had put her number on. "You give off serial killer vibes so should I expect to be murdered tonight?" She mused.
"I'll spare you. I rather you not get your evil blood all over me," he retorts, turning around to face her.
"Aw, you were always the charmer, Nyck." She smirked, receiving an eye roll, but she picked up the small smile on his lips.
"If you see that as a compliment, I wonder what else I could say about you," he said. She shot him an annoyed look, "don't push it. You're lucky I'm here. What do you want? You come for advice? Wanna learn how to drive that piece of shit they have you in?" She chuckled, and he rolled his eyes, tucking his hands in his pockets. "Very funny. But no. I heard a rumor going around. Apparently, your brother's contact isn't as sealed as people thought it was."
She raised a brow, crossing her arms, "what do you mean by that?"
"Some drivers were talking. A lot of them want your brother's seat." He spoke, stepping closer to her, but not too much.
"Let me guess, you're one of those drivers?" She mocked.
"It's intriguing, but I'll pass. I'm actually wondering if Keziyah has signed anyone next year for the Formula E team. They said the current drivers contract is only for this year, so I'm curious." He explained. She hums, tilting her head at him, "what I'm hearing is...you want something from me? But, what do I get out of this?" He sighed, running a hand through his hair, he knew she would do that. "It can't just be a favor? You have to get something in return?"
"Yes? I don't like you enough to do you a favor out of the kindness of my heart. How does this benefit me?" She scoffed, crossing her arms over her chest, staring at him expectantly.
"Fine. What do you want? You want me to apologize?" He said, frustration seeping in his tone. She noticed how impatient he grew, and she was getting the feeling it wasn't because of his hatred for her. She sipped on her tequila, licking her plump lips with a curious look. "An apology? Two words won't fix all the shit I put up with. No. No, I want you to get on your knees for me."
He scoffed in disbelief, "are you serious? Come on, Kallie. You can't hate me that much."
"I don't hate you. I just enjoy seeing you all weak and flustered for me." She smirked, taking a sip of the drink, dropping her heels into the sand. "You are...unbelievable. Fine." He mutters in disdain, stepping closer and dropping to knees before her. "I'm sorry, Kallie. I'm sorry for the way I spoke about you. I'm sorry for disrespecting you. It won't happen again." She hummed, pretending to think for a few seconds, "okay, up."
He stood back up, brushing off his knees, "was that the worst thing you've ever endured?" Kallie asked.
"Just tell me what you know, please?" He requested impatiently. Kallie smiled, stepping forward, she slid her hand into his pocket, he took a deep breath at the move and she pulled his phone out. She put it to him and he entered the password. She pulled up the contacts and typed in Keziyah's phone number. "This is Keziyah's personal cell, so just call her, or message her. Tell her I gave it to you, and then she'll arrange a meeting. She hasn't resigned him for the next season before his performance isn't good."
She handed him the phone and he looked down at it, seeing the contact information all filled out correctly. "Thank you, Kallie."
"I figured you wouldn't last here. It's best anyways. Red Bull's expectations will crumble a person. You're just one of the unfortunate." Kallie shrugged, picking up her heels. As she turned around to leave, he grabbed her arm and turned her back around. In a quick second, his lips found hers, the heels dropping from her hand, the other clutching onto her tequila glass. His arm slid around her waist, tugging her closer to him as she kissed back.
Pulling away for air, she smirked at him, her left hand brushing his hair back, "I knew you liked me. Was waiting to see how long it'd take you to do something about it." Nyck shrugged, wiping his lip with the pad of his thumb, "I'm leaving next year, so I thought why not just take a chance? It's not you like can torture me any more than you already have." She chuckled, patting her cheek, "oh, that's cute. I don't need to torture you. Me being more successful is torture enough, no?"
He rolled his eyes at her expected teasing, "I hate you."
She chuckled, getting closer, her breath fanning over his lips, brown eyes staring into his, "then why do you wanna fuck me?"
Instead of waiting for his response, she picked up her heels and walked away, gulping down the rest of her tequila. "God, I love to torture him."
