background:
emi expressed interest in becoming an idol at 17, and auditioned online for happyface entertainment. she was accepted to the company, and moved to seoul, leaving her family behind. she debuted as the main vocalist of DIJINN in 2015, a moderately popular group (but with very dedicated fans).

unfortunately, after four years together, DIJINN disbanded. emi left happyface and transferred to pnation where she debuted as a soloist in 2019.
