11 years passed since Ella's arrival at the Orphanage with the sisters.
She was raised as a happy and loving girl. Ella loved to play and learn with the other orphans.
The Nun Sisters loved Ella and saw her bright and sweet personality as a blessing.
It was 8 in the morning. Sister Margaret was looking for Ella for the class time.
"Ella!? Class is starting soon!" She calls her out. She walks down the hallways and up the stairs.
The orphans smile and giggle knowing where Ella is.
Sister Margaret sighs. "Why is she always wondering all over the place?"
Outside, it was sunny and warm. The flowers were blooming and the animals were enjoying the sunshine.
Ella was playing in the grass field of the orphanage property. She picked up flowers, daisies were her personal favorite. She made a small bouquet and started to form a flower crown out of it.
The soft wind blew her blonde hair and her sundress.
Aurora smiles as she watches butterflies fly around the sky.
She puts her Daisy crown on her head.
She lays down on the grass and daydreams.
Her mind took her imagination to dream. Dreaming about finding a family. A mom and dad that can take care of her. It all was a sweet and loving dream.
In which one where she won't wake up.
But she knew it would take long. Most parents didn't choose her.
Parents prefer young children who are 4 or 5 years.
Much less kids who are turning into teens.
"Ella!!" Sister Margaret walked around the field.
Ella sits up and sees Sister Margaret.
"Hi sister!" Ella smiles.
"Ah silly girl! How many times do I have to tell you to not go out without telling me? I have to know you're safe where you are" Sister Margaret sighs.
"Sorry Sister, I wanted to play in the sun for a while," Ella smiles and faces the sister.
"Lord please let me have patience" Sister Margaret sighs looking up at the sky.
"Here I made a Daisy crown for you," Ella puts the Daisy crown on Sister Margaret's head.
"Thank you Ella, now hurry back inside the building, or else Reverend Mother would make me and you clean the entire chapel," Sister Margaret chuckles and takes Ella to the Orphanage building.
Ella laughs at the joke and skips around as she holds Sister Margaret's hand.
They both smile and laugh as they reach the building.
Later Ella was in the classroom with the rest of the kids, Sister Clara was in charge to teach the children all school subjects along with Sister Margaret.
Ella loved to learn. She helped the other children. She was good with literature.
She loved the books. Escaping reality was often exciting for her.
Fantasy was her favorite. Magic.
Ella watches as one kid, Ethan of 7 years is chosen by adopted parents. She watches the way they hug him. How they show affection with their words.
Ella hides in the corner watching the scene.
I want that too.
Later Ella goes to her bedroom that she has. She looks out her window. The horizon showed the city of London. But around the orphanage it was farms and forests around.
Then the bell rings in the orphanage.
Time for lunch.
Ella smiles and runs downstairs to the dinner hall. She joins her friends to eat.
The Nuns serve food to the children.
Ella smiles. "Thank you! If you like I can help to clean the dishes,"
The sisters smiled. "Thank you Ella, God bless you,"
Ella smiles and sits down in her table with her friends.
Reverend Mother comes in and does the prayer before eating.
Then the children dig in eating and in laughter.
Ella smiles and eats her dinner with her friends.
At night Ella lays in her bed. She sighs.
Another day went by.
But still no parents.
She counted the days for to leave the orphanage to find a family.
She felt sad.
"Why did my parents leave me? They didn't love me?" She whispered to herself. She wanted to cry.
Crying would've made things worse.
She gets out of her bed and looks out her window.
"One day, I'll find a family." She says to herself.
She prayed with a longing.
Ella saw a crow flying over. She opened her window.
The crow landed in the window.
"Hi" Ella smiles at the crow.
The crow cawed at her.
Ella giggles and pets its feathers.
The crow caws happily.
"You're a cute crow," Ella smiles and watches the crow fly away into the night sky.
The crow looks back at her one last time before disappearing.
