THE PARENTS TO ARTHUR DANES KNEW SOMETHING WAS WRONG WITH THEIR SON WHEN THEY WERE RAISING HIM. Having already raised their daughter Maila—they knew a thing or two about a child being "normal." From Arthurs' obsession with bones and blood from the age of five—to having gone through twenty hamsters, all of them having gone missing after a week of Arthur owning them—something was wrong with him. Maila had grown very close to her brother, he needed someone in his corner and so that was her—since her parents wouldn't do it for him. Maila was the popular girl through middle school and she had soon become the woman of the house when their mother died. Father was of course devastated yet, he began to bring women to the house—exposing his children to alcohol, drugs, and sex. Arthur was very intrigued—women's bodies were very different to his father's body, but he wondered, did they look the same with their skin peeled back?

BY THE TIME MAILA GOT INTO HIGH SCHOOL, ARTHURS' INTEREST IN ABNORMAL THINGS PIQUED. Learning about the human anatomy was his favorite and he made sure to write every single fact about it. Arthur was still an outcast—he was picked on and bullied, sometimes even beaten up. Maila would pick her brother up after school—whenever she didn't have a student council meeting or any other clubs she had to attend—and usually Arthur always had bruises on his body, a busted lip, or a black eye. It always made Maila furious and as she was one of her brothers guardians—she tried to talk to the principal but she never did anything to prevent her brother from getting hurt. So she began to volunteer at the school to look after her brother—but she could only after school. But Arthur just got bullied more because of it—so he decided to drop out of school.

THEIR FATHER DIDN'T CARE AND NEITHER DID THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE SCHOOL SO MAILA TAUGHT HIM. She homeschooled her brother as best as she could after she left school and as time went on—their father became sick. He had become an alcoholic and spent most of his days in the living room sleeping, drinking, smoking, or having women come over. Maila was overwhelmed by everything and expressed to her brother how she felt and how she wished that their father wasn't like he was—so, Arthur took it into his own hands and surprised their father with a knife, and he delivered it by slicing it into his fathers chest. The blood on his hands and the sound made Arthur ecstatic—and he hoped that Maila would be too—and to his surprise, she wasn't.

SHE KNEW THAT IT WAS HIM BUT WHEN SHE CALLED THE POLICE—SHE SAID IT WAS AN ACCIDENT. Sure, lying to the police was bad—but having her brother with her made her happy and better. Years went by and Maila had gone to college and got a degree in psychology—mostly to understand her brother more as she never could before. Arthurs obsession with bones, blood, and the human body became stronger and he now had a high body count—Maila could never get used to the smell or the sight of the dead bodies—but she would have to for her brother and for herself.

yes yes yes — finally i publish this — i've gone through so many iterations of this story that i finally found one that's actually good in my opinion. also , please when reading , don't make the interactions between arthur and maila weird , arthur ( although this is kind of a spoiler ) retorts to age regression after deaths happen which is why he acts childish / like his child self — his mind changes through a bunch of his emotions which makes him probably my most difficult character that i've ever made. other than that , pleaseee enjoy this story and vote and comment as it makes me feel happy <333 side note ; yes , arthur is a serial killer and yes i will be trying to write him in a way that'll make you hate him because although he's fictional — everything he does morally ( sometimes ) is wrong.
