she got her keys, her purse and then we made our way downstairs. her moms were there in the living room along with kylie and jayden.

"okay, be safe. i love you guys," her moms said.

"love you too!" my girl and i said at the same time and then we went outside.

we got into her car and when she started the car, she turned on the ac since it was boiling outside and then she connected her phone to her bluetooth and played rem by ariana grande.

"what spot we going to?" she asked me.

"any spot," i responded and she nodded.

fifteen minutes later, she parked outside of a spot and i'm glad she picked this place, because they have bomb vegan mac and cheese.

we walked inside and she asked for a table of two. the waitress gave us our menus and we got a table outside and the view of the sky was so pretty. the sun was going to set soon.

"i look like a bum compared to you," i chuckled.

"please," she scoffed. "you look like a bad bitch next to me. any day, everyday,"

i laughed and she winked at me.

the waitress came back and i ordered the mac and cheese and kaylani ordered chicken tenders and fries. i got water and she got pink lemonade.

while we were waiting for our food, i saw izabelle and taliya. do they ever like not be wherever i'm at? it's annoying.

"hey bil," taliya greeted me.

before i can answer, kaylani beat me to the punch.

"can she help you?" she asked them and my eyes widened.

"we were talking to billie, not you," izabelle said sarcastically, giving kaylani one of the most fakest smiles i ever seen.

"if you talk to my girl, you talk to me," my girl snapped, giving izabelle a fake smile back. "and i'm gonna ask you the same question. can she help you?"

"we just wanted to say hi," taliya chuckled.

"yeah and you did. y'all can take y'all asses back to where y'all was at," kaylani responded.

"oh shit," i whispered, running my hands through my hair.

the two just stood there looking shocked.

"run along little girls," she shooed them away. "and next time you see my girlfriend, don't bother speaking to her. even if i'm not there or else we're gonna have some problems. got it?"

the two rolled their eyes and left our table, going to sit at their table.

i looked at kaylani as she sipped on her drink.

"what?" she asked me. "they're annoying as fuck. i swear they be trying to set you up. pisses me the fuck off,"

"you're so sexy when you talk like that," i breathed out and she rolled her eyes jokingly.

our food came, and we ate, talked about random shit. we stayed there until the sun went down and i took bunches of pictures of kaylani.

it was dark when we left and i think it was time to tell her about how i went to keep my career going further.

"where we going now?" she asked as we got back inside the car.

"malibu beach,"

and she began driving and about fifty minutes later, she pulled up to the beach. people were here, but it wasn't that much.

we both took off our shoes and left it in the car since we were going to be walking on sand.

"i think we should have more bil and kay days," she spoke up as we walked on the sand, holding hands.

"i think we should too," i responded.

"i really enjoyed today. we didn't even have to do anything big. i just love spending time with you. fucking school is already kicking my ass. just trying to see if i got into yale," she replied.

"we're still gonna be together right?" i asked her.

"of course. we always will be together. the distance isn't going to make us break up, and i'll always have time for you," she said and i nodded.

"i might...i might start doing music," i told her and she stopped walking and she looked at me.

"really?" she shrieked and i nodded. "oh my god that's so amazing! when are you going to start?"

"well, finneas and i talked and he's a good songwriter. so, he's going to help me. we have to come up with ideas, i don't want to get signed to a deal yet, so don't tell your mom," i chuckled. "but, i think it's something i'm going to enjoy doing. like just imagine the impact i will have in the world. like i can see myself going on stage and singing. seeing people sing along to my songs, people cry, and just people say to me that i saved their lives ya know? like that will make me so happy and i think it's something i really really want to do. until i can't anymore,"

"i support you. i'll be here for you through everything. let me hear your first song you write!" kaylani responded.

"it's gonna be about you,"

"better be about me," she teased.

maybe every song will be about her.
