There was battle calls all throughout the place. A tulkun had been killed by the sky people and Jake had the marker in his hand, holding it up so everyone can see.
"We have to warn the tulkun, keeping them alive. That's all that matters." Jake said with sincerity in his voice.
"Tell the tulkun that if they are marked by one of these, their marked for death." Jake screamed so every Metkayian could here.
As Lo'ak heard these words he thought of Payakan. He went to the dock to call an ilu. He saddled up his ilu.
"There's no way your rolling out of here, baby bro" Neteyam said as he came into view.
"I have to warn Payakan about the pingers"
"No. You have to keeps your Skxawng a** here"
"He's outcast! There's nobody to warn him but me."
"Bro why do you always have to make things so hard." Neteyam stated as he put his hand on Lo'ak's head.
Lo'ak moved Neteyam's hand away, "no. You mean why can't I be the perfect son like you." Lo'ak paused as Neteyam shook his hand and sucked his lips as he backed away. "The perfect little solider. Well I'm not you! Ok!" His voice lowered, "I'm not you."
"He's my brother, I'm going!"
"Oh he's you brother." Neteyam paused as he saw Lo'ak walk away and started to follow him. "No. I'm your brother!" He said as he grasped Lo'ak's forearm and turned him around as he pointed to himself.
"Lo'ak!" Aila screamed as she came in with Aonung and Tsireya as Lo'ak jumped in the water.
"He's going to Payakan!" Neteyam said as he patted Aonung on the chest and called for an ilu.
They all jumped in the water and raced after Lo'ak. They saw Kiri and Tuk on the way and Neteyam said to follow them and that Lo'ak's going to Payakan.
As Lo'ak saw Payakan in the water, something was wrong.
"What is it. What's wrong?" He signed.
Payakan showed Lo'ak his fin. It had a marker in it.
"Stay calm, Stay calm. I got this." Lo'ak said as he got onto Payakan's fin. He started to pull on the marker as the others came closer.
Payakan made a noise as Lo'ak looked up and saw the demon ship coming for them. Lo'ak started to pull harder as Neteyam and the other came to him and Payakan.
"Lo'ak!" Neteyam said as he got onto Payakan.
"The ships coming. It's right over there." Lo'ak said as he pointed to the demon ship.
Neteyam helped Aonung up onto Payakan as Lo'ak was struggling to pull the marker out of Payakan's fin.
"Bro come on!" Lo'ak said.
Aila and Tsireya got onto Payakan, helping Aonung and Neteyam pull out the marker.
"Hurry!" Tsireya said.
"Call it in! Call dad. Just go. Just do it." Neteyam said as he pulled Lo'ak onto the top of Payakan.
"Dad. I mean devil dog. Do you read me?" Lo'ak spoke into the mic.
"Did you see where they went?" Neytiri said to an unknown Metkayian.
"Outside the reef." The Metkayian said.
As Jake heard Lo'ak's voice through the mic he tapped Neytiri's shoulder.
"Do you copy?" Lo'ak said through the mic.
"Yeah Lo'ak." Jake said as Neytiri turned and faced him.
"Dad! We're with a Tulkun that's under attack. Killer ships inbound." Lo'ak said.
"Who's with you?" Jake questioned Lo'ak.
"It's all of us! Aonung, Tsireya and Aila too." Lo'ak said.
As Neytiri heard these words she closed her eyes as she started to panick for her children's life.
"We're by three brothers rocks." Lo'ak said.
"Get to cover. You do not engage!" Jake said as Neytiri covered her mouth.
"Alright you hear me? Do not engage! We're coming" Jake said once more.
"Yes sir." Lo'ak said.
Lo'ak got back down on Payakan's fin and started to pull.
"It's not coming out!" He shouted.
Neteyam got off of Payakan's fin and grabbed a rope. He threw it to Lo'ak as he tied it around his ilu.
"Tie it around." Neteyam shouted at Lo'ak who did as he asked.
As they all started to pull with the help of Neteyam's ilu, they got it out.
Neteyam grabbed the marker as he waved them to go.
"Go! I'll lead them away." Neteyam said.
Everybody got on there ilus and started to swim away. Neteyam sped off in the opposite direction from everyone and dropped the tracker to lead the sky people away from everyone.Β
As they all swam away they hid behind some sea leaves as crab like machines dropped into the water, looking for them.
They stayed in the sea leaves but the crab like machines got closer and closer to them as they realized that they had to go so Lo'ak signaled for them to move through the sea leaves, away from the machines.
The machines caught sight of them and started to swim through the sea leaves also.
As they were swimming through the leaves Tuk started to slip from Kiri but Kiri was determined to keep Tuk with her. So, she grasped Tuks wrist and tried to pull her up but couldn't. Tuk just stayed there, hanging onto Kiri's hand.
As the crab like machines got closer everyone started to speed up, causing everyone to split up into two groups. Lo'ak, Aila, Tsireya going one way and Aonung, Rotxo, and Kiri and Tuk going another way.
As the sea leaves started to get denser and they were moving faster the leaves started to cloud their vision and Kiri started to loose her grip on Tuk.
As Kiri tried her best to keep a hold of her little sister a sea leaf hit Tuk in the head and she rolled off the ilu and across the top of a machine.
Kiri looked back, not being able to get her little sister.
Tuk started to swim away from the machines, trying to find an air pocket.
As Aila and Lo'ak were swimming away they had gotten separated but out of no where a floating device had hit Aila's ilu, causing her ilu to be lifted to the surface reluctantly.
Aila looked in both directions, looking for a way out. As Aila looked behind her she saw one of the machines reached out it's hand in Aila's direction.
As Aila looked frantically around her she heard the click of an ilu and turned her gaze in the direction just to see Lo'ak speeding towards her with his hand out.
She grasped his hand as he pulled her onto his ilu. As he placed her onto the back of his ilu he grasped her upper thigh, making sure she stayed in place as she placed her hand on Lo'ak's shoulder to steady herself.
They sped off as they were slowly losing breath, they saw plants that had air pockets. Lo'ak pointed to the air pocket and let go of the ilu to lead the sky people away from them as they headed towards the air pocket.
They splashed up through the air pocket finding Tuk as she screamed.
"Tuk!" Lo'ak stated, thankful to find his baby sister okay.
As Lo'ak made sure Tuk was okay he saw Tsireya swimming up through the water followed by Aila.
Just as Aila broke through the water she saw the light from the sky people's machines.
"We have to go!" She stated.
They all took a deep breath before diving back into the water and out of the plant.
They started swimming but we're met with machines on both sides.
As they notices both the machines they saw something come out of one of them, a net.
They tried to swim away as fast as they could but they weren't fast enough.
They all got scooped up in the net, fighting to get out. Lo'ak managed to swim out but Aila, Tsireya,Β and Tuk couldn't.
Just as Lo'ak got out an Ikran dived into the water and grabbed the net.
Lo'ak couldn't leave them alone so he grabbed onto the net as he pulled out his knife.
Aila pulled out her knife, frantically trying to cut the net.
Lo'ak started to cut through the net but Aila couldn't from how shaky her hands were.
"Hurry!" Tuk screamed as they neared the ship.
Lo'ak was already cutting as fast as he could but he couldn't get them out in time.
The Ikran flew over the ship and dropped them onto it. Lo'ak getting straight up and hissing at the sky people and fake avatars, pointing his knife at them.
Tuk, Tsireya, and Aila got straight out of the net with their knifes in hand and started swiping towards the sky people just like Lo'ak.
"Drop the weapons." A sky person said as the fake avatars grabbed the kids and threw their weapons away.
The sky people pinned Lo'ak down as Spider came into view. He was running from sky people trying to get him.
Just as he reached Lo'ak the sky people caught him, "hey bro you okay?" He questioned to a pinned down Lo'ak.
"Yeah cuz, never better." Lo'ak said sarcastically.
Just as Lo'ak said that the sky people grabbed him as Quartich told them to get him back to the bridge.
"Yeah I remember you." Quaritch said as they pulled loak up onto his knees.
"Cuff em to the rail, all of them." Quaritch ordered.
They fought against the soldiers but they weren't strong enough. The soldiers cuffed them to the rail of the ship just as they were ordered
Just as they got cuffed to the rails, they heard war cries and water splashing from skimwings from behind the rocks.
As the sounds came into view they realized it was the Metkayian warriors and the Sullys.
"Dad!" Tuk screamed as she noticed them.
The warriors and the Sullys stopped before the ship as Quartich noticed them.
He walked over to Lo'ak and ripped the com and ear piece off of him and put it in his ear so he could talk to Jake.
Jake zoomed in on his gun to see his kids, Aila and Tsireya tied up on the ship.
"They have our kids, your daughters, Tuk, Lo'ak." Jake told Ronal and Tonowari as they hissed in response.
"Jake tell your friends to stand down. You want your kids back? You come out alone. You know better than to test my resolve." Quaritch said as he pointed a gun to Lo'ak's head.
"Lo'ak no!" Aila protested against the gun pointed at his head as she fought against the cuff around her arm.
Jake hissed at the sight as he pulled his gun away.
"I took you under my wing Jake. You betrayed me. You killed your own, good men, good women. I won't hesitate to execute your kid." Jake heard Quaritch say through the com.
"Just wait one." Jake told Quaritch.
Jake looked around at the Metkayian soldiers as he sighed.
"Hold here." Jake told Tonowari.
"They are killers of tulkun, they must die. Here. Today." Tonowari protested as he put his spear infront of Jake.
"It's me that they want. That's what all this has been about. Right? The hunting of the tulkun. The taking of our kids." Jake stated as his voice cracked.
"You brought this upon us. You!" Ronal spoke up.
"Well then it's me that had to do this." Jake said as he looked down, disappointed.
Tonowari sighed as he held his spears to tell the Metkayian soldiers to stand down.
"Offers fixing to expire." Quaritch stated as he pressed the gun deeper to Lo'ak's temple.
"What's it gonna be?"
"Check your fire. I'm coming out." Jake stated into his com as he put his gun down.
Neytiri who was on her Ikran in the air noticed what was happening, "Ma Jake, what is happening?" She questioned her mate. "Ma Jake?"
Just as Jake was coming out something jumped onto the ship.
"Payakan!" Tuk screamed.
He landed on the ship as soldiers were shooting at him but it didn't seem to phase him. He was causing absolute chaos.
"Brother!" Lo'ak screamed as he pushed a sky person under Payakan's fin.
As Payakan was destroying everything on the ship Jake called out war cries as the Metkayian soldiers followed, letting out war cries as they did.
The sky people sent a spear near Payakan's mouth but he closed it just in time and it bounced off and exploded on the ship. After that he dove back into the water.
All around there was war cries from the soldiers as they got shot at and dove down into the water.
"Sullys inbound. I want eyes on him." Quaritch said as he walked over and got on his ikran.
The Metkayian soldiers were jumping out of the water everywhere and throwing their spears into the sky people.
As Tsireya, Aila, Tuk, and Lo'ak watched everything around them they noticed that they were heading towards rocks.
They got lifted up into the air, the only thing keeping them from flying off was the cuffs. As they came back down they landed hard on the ship and they knew that it would cause harsh bruises later.
Lo'ak checked if Tuk was okay before starting to pull on the cuffs, hoping to free themselves.
They heard someone say abandon ship so they started to pull and kick at the rail harder but had no luck until Tuk screamed.
"Neteyam!"
"Hey baby brother. Need some help?" Neteyam said as he went to cut Tsireya loose.
"Come on. Get us loose." Lo'ak said as he made sure no one was behind them.
Neteyam had cut Tsireya and Tuk loose and he motioned to the water, "it's okay. Get Tuk out of here." He said to Tsireya.
"Bro hurry up!" Lo'ak shouted.
"Who's the mighty warrior? Come on. Say it!" Neteyam said as he cut Lo'ak loose.
"Bro." Lo'ak responded.
"Get Aila, hurry!" Lo'ak stated.
Neteyam cut Aila loose as she thanked him.
"Come on let's go." Neteyam said as he headed towards the edge of the ship.
"Lo'ak." Neteyam hissed as Lo'ak reached for a gun.
"They've got spider. We've got to get him. Come on. Come on bro we can't leave him." Lo'ak pleaded.
Neteyam hissed as he got up and went to Lo'ak's side.
"Aila, go with Tuk and Reya." Lo'ak said as he started to wave her off the ship.
"Lo'ak I'm not leaving you." Aila protested.
"Please Aila. Go!" Lo'ak pleaded.
"No." Aila said sternly.
Lo'ak sighed as Aila followed them into the ship.
As Tuk and Tsireya were swimming away from the ship Tuk saw someone hanging from an Ikran, Kiri.
"Look!" Tuk pointed.
"We've got to go back for her." Tuk said as she started swimming.
"Tuk wait!" Tsireya stated.
"Sullys stick together!" Tuk said as she dove under the water.
Neteyam, Lo'ak, and Aila we're crawling along the ceiling of the ship, watching spider and the sky people surrounding him.
"Tuk this is not a good idea." Tsireya stated as they got back onto the ship to get Kiri.
"Tuk!"
Tuk and Tsireya used objects along the ship as cover as the looked for Kiri.
"Kiri!" Tuk whispered as they ran over to her.
"Tuk!"
Tsireya jumped over the rail as she showed Tuk where to cut.
The next thing that Tsireya saw was Tuk being lifted up into the air, screaming. Tsireya reached for her but was quickly grabbed by the fake avatar and thrown into the moon pool, back into the water. With no way to get back up.
She heard an Ilu call and called for it to come to her. The only thing she could do was wait for a sound and hope that it was one of the Sullys.
Neteyam and Lo'ak pounced on the sky people, throwing them over the edge or into the wall. When they thought everyone was done with, Lo'ak noticed a sky person reaching for his gun, he was quick to shoot at him, killing him.
Neteyam saw the expression on Lo'ak's face and made sure to place a comforting hand on his forearm even thought they didn't have time. As Lo'ak and Neteyam started to leave with Spider Aila dropped down and started to follow.
As they got down to a lower part of the ship Spider thanked them. As he did so Lo'ak noticed fake avatars and pointed his gun at them but Neteyam was quick to stop him and point his gun down.
"Go, Go!" Neteyam shouted as they started to run behind a wall.
"Give me that!" Neteyam screamed as he grabbed the gun from Lo'ak's hand and started to shoot at the fake avatars.
"Go! Go! Go!" Neteyam said as he waved them along.
Lo'ak shook his head and reached for the gun out of Neteyam's hand.
"What are you doing!?" Neteyam screamed.
"Get Aila out of here!" Lo'ak told Neteyam.
"Lo'ak no you need to get out!" Neteyam told him.
"Neteyam please. I need to know she's safe." Lo'ak protested as he kept shooting at the fake avatars.
"Fine." Neteyam hissed as Spider pointed to an exit.
Aila exchanged a look with Lo'ak and jumped into the moon pool.
As they dove through the moon pool Lo'ak kept shooting at the fake avatars but when he went to shoot again he was out of bullets. He needed to get out.
He dove though the moon pool as the fake avatars kept shooting at him.
As Lo'ak came up through the water they were meet with Tsireya on her ilu.
"Come on, get on." She stated.
"Come on Lo'ak." Neteyam said as he started to swim over to Tsireya.
"Just go. I'm shot." Lo'ak said barely being able to keep his head above the water.
Once Aila heard those words she swung her head around and raced towards Lo'ak with tears forming in her eyes.
"Neteyam come on, help me!" Aila screamed.
Neteyam swam over to her and Lo'ak, trying to keep him above the water.
Tsireya got off the ilu and let Neteyam get Lo'ak on, sitting in the front as Spider got on the back.
"Hold him up!" Neteyam told spider.
Lo'ak held onto Neteyams shoulder as he was struggling to breath.
Aila and Tsireya held onto the sides of the ilu as they sped off from the ship.
"Tuk and Kiri are on the ship!" Tsireya stated.
"I don't have time to go back." Neteyam stated.
Lo'ak was starting to cough and struggle to breath as they neared the rock. They were meet by Jake jumping off his Skimwing and running over to them.
"Dad over here! It's Lo'ak." Neteyam waved Jake over.
Neteyam started to slide Lo'ak off the ilu as Aila reached for his head to support him.
"Keep his head up!" Neteyam shouted as they were lifting him onto the rocks.
"Hurry!" Aila stated as they brought him up to the rocks.
They laid Lo'ak down on smoother rocks as Jake rolled him over and Spider put the flash light onto the wound.
"Oh no." Jake stated as he saw that the bullet had went all the way through.
As Jake said that Neytiri landed off her Ikran and rushed to Lo'ak's side. No was all she could say.
Jake grabbed Aila's hands and placed it on Lo'ak's wound that was spilling blood.
"Pressure! Keep pressure on it." Jake stated.
"It's ok son. I got you." Jake said as he placed his hand on Lo'ak's face.
Lo'ak could barely form a sentence as he looked at all the people around him, especially Aila. He didn't want to leave her.
"I-I'm s-sorry." He said as he reached for Aila's hand.
All Aila could do was shake her head. She felt like throwing up from all the blood and knowing that this was his last moments.
Lo'ak looked toward Jake, "Dad, I-" he took his last breath as his eyes went cold.
"Lo'ak?" Neytiri questioned, she didn't realize he was already gone.
Once again all Neytiri could say was no as she started to wail in pain from losing her youngest son.
Aila looked down at her hands, the blood of her mate. She couldn't hear any of the screams from Neytiri and Neteyam's muffled cries. Everything went numb in her as she felt the light inside her die, the light that was once Lo'ak.
As Jake tried to comfort Neytiri he heard a voice on his com.
"Can you hear me corporal. Yeah I think you can." Jake heard Quaritches voice.
"I got your daughters. Same deal as before. You for them."
"Where are your sisters?" Jake questioned Neteyam.
"Your sisters where are they?"
"I don't know." Neteyam's answered.
"Their on the ship. Their tied up on the ship." Tsireya told Jake.
"They're at the moon pool." Spider stated.
"At the well deck. Midships."
"What?" Jake asked confused.
"Come on. Come on, I'll show you." Spider said pulling Jake.
"Talk to me corporal. I need something Jake or there's gonna be consequences." Quaritch stated through the com.
"Yeah, I hear you." Jake stated.
Jake went over to Neytiri as they had a conversation off to the side. Aila didn't care to listen. She was focused on Lo'ak and how she wished his would've just listened to Neteyam and went with her.
"Neteyam come on. We're getting your sisters back." Jake told Neteyam.
Neteyam got up and placed a comforting hand on Aila, "stay with him." He told her.
Aila didn't have a response. She just stayed there, numb.
She heard Neteyam, Spider, and Jake swim away, but she also heard Tsireya sobbing. That's what woke her up from her trance.
"Reya where is Tuk?" Aila questioned her.
"On the ship, tied up." Tsireya replied through her sobs.
Right when Tsireya said that she saw all emotion leave Aila and turn into anger. The look of revenge was written all over her face.
Aila walked over to a spear that was logged in the side of a rock and started to walk towards the edge of the shore.
"Aila what are you doing?" Tsireya said grabbing her arm.
"Stay with him, Reya." Was all Aila said before she dived into the water.
"No!" Tsireya shouted as she reached for Aila but it was too late she was already swimming away on her ilu.
Aila got to the ship and jumped on, stabbing sky people with her spear. She ran all around the ship killing anybody that stood in her way, she was determined to find Kiri and Tuk.
She found a spot to hide and look to see if she could spot Tuk or Kiri. She did. She found the moon pool and ran over to it, trying to cut Tuk free first but was met with Jake cutting her loose instead. So, she cut Kiri loose instead.
Once they were finished Aila jumped back over the rail but was met with a gun pointed right at her. She didn't move, she stood there frozen.
"Aila!" She heard Kiri hiss.
Aila started to run over to Kiri behind an object.
Aila ran and sat down beside Kiri as they were hiding from everything.
"Are you okay?" Kiri asked.
Aila shook her head positively but Kiri looked at her and noticed that she wasn't okay. She looked in pain. The Kiri noticed the hand that covered the side of her torso, it had blood seeping through her fingers.
"No your not. Come on." Kiri said as she reached for Aila's hand.
"No I can't. Just go." Aila protested.
Aila heard Kiri call for her parents that arrived by Aila's side.
"Oh no." Jake said.
Aila was struggling to breath but managed to get out a few words, "thank you for everything." She said as she looked at Neytiri and Jake.
"No no. Come on. Come on. Stay." Neytiri said not wanting to lose somebody else today.
It's okay, ill b-be with h-him.

Well this is the end of this fanfic. I'm sorry it took so long to get out but I wanted to make it good but I don't even know if it is. I had been thinking of how to end the book for a while and I settled on this but I kept switching my mind on if I wanted both of them to die so they could be together or just one. I feel bad letting them both die but I feel like if I just let them live it wouldn't be a very good ending but I kind of hate it now that I wrote it because it didn't come out exactly the way I was imagining it.
I hope that this isn't to long of a chapter I wasn't planning on it being 4000 WORDS but it ended up being so y'all get a extra extra EXTRA long chapter for the ending.
I just want to thank y'all for all the love and support on this book it means so much to me and it kept me going through the whole thing. Y'all are the reason I finished this book and why I'm starting another one.
If y'all liked this chapter please vote and comment.
I love y'all <3
