faye awoke to her phone buzzing repeatedly beside her, she rubbed her eyes and took a quick glance at riven who was sleeping peacefully beside her.
she reached for her phone and answered the call. "hello?"
"faye, um..." bloom spoke. "dowling she's dead. rosalind killed her. she's buried in the graveyard."
faye was silent, trying to process the information her friend had just told her. "i gotta go." faye rushed, she jumped out of her bed and ran to the girls in the living room.
musa took one glance at faye and even without her magic she knew something was up. "faye, that's your 'i'm gonna murder someone face."
"rosalind. she-" faye took a breath. "she killed dowling." faye's eyes darkened slightly.
"what?" terra asked in shock.
"rosalid. killed. dowling." faye said slowly, feeling her anger begin to consume her.
...
the suite girls, sky and riven were all standing at the barrier. sky hit the barrier with his fist, but the barrier just absorbed it.
"ha. nice one." faye laughed.
sky shot a look at the girl.
"how did she sound when you talked to her?" musa asked aisha.
"on edge." she replied bluntly. "i told her she had to come to us first, that we had to discharge her magic, and that we'd figure out what to do with rosalind, but..."
"but what?" sky asked.
"rosalind said she's gonna meet bloom at the portal."
"we have to try get past." faye told them.
"faye, none of us have a chance." stella shook her head softly at the girl.
"she's right..." aisha chimed in. "but... we do have one of the strongest fairies at alfea with us."
"bloom isn't-"
aisha interrupted. "not bloom. you."
"wait, she's right." flora spoke. "you are way stronger than what your magic already is, faye."
"okay, let me get this straight, you think i can get through a barrier of magic made by rosalind? rosalind?"
"yes." they all said at the same time.
"seriously?" faye looked at her friends and boyfriend who all grinned at her. "fuck my life. if i die again, i'll haunt you all from my grave."
she drew in a deep breath and stepped closer to the barrier, faye pressed her hand against it and channeled her magic to break it down. she pushed further and further her eyes squeezed shut. she groaned in pain, hoping someone would pull her back.
faye dropped to the floor, holding her hand against her chest. "i told you-" she looked back at her friends to see them behind the barrier, riven stood where she had just stood.
"i don't think i can get anyone else through, it took too much magic." she groaned, still clutching her hand.
"bloom will be there, you'll be okay!" stella shouted, her voice muffled.
faye slowly stood up and stood across from riven.
"i love you, princess." he smiled at her.
"i love you too, riv." she weakly smiled, before she took off to the portal where bloom would be coming from.
...
faye slowly crept through the forest until she was near the portal, she stood a safe distance behind rosalind, listening to their conversation.
"you seem different." rosalind spoke, tilting her head slightly. "why is that?"
bloom's eyes quickly flickered from faye and back to rosalind.
"did sebastian tell you something that's upset you?" the woman continued. "about me?"
there was a moment of silence before bloom spoke. "Was it here?"
faye knew exactly what she was talking about, she could almost sense dowling's body in the ground.
rosalind stayed silent. "did you kill her here?" bloom asked.
rosalind muttered, glancing behind her and noticing faye but she didn't say a word about it. "a little to your right."
faye felt her heart drop, she knew rosalind was evil, but not having a care in the world that she murdered dowling made faye want to snap her neck.
bloom's eyes turned orange. "you're a monster!" she yelled stepping towards rosalind.
the woman flicked up her hand at the girl and Bloom groaned out in pain her hands covering her ears.
faye ran towards bloom, rosalind tried doing the same to faye but it was just a soft and quiet ringing in her head. she looked up at rosalind with a smirk on her face.
"oh, grow up." rosalind said to the two girls.
"it hurts! it hurts!" bloom repeated, faye's hands held onto bloom.
"you're okay. you're strong." faye whispered.
bloom whimpered loudly.
"i wanted to do this together, maybe even include you as well, faye. i'm impressed you got past the barrier."
"shut the fuck up." faye seethed.
"plan a was glorious." rosalind continued. "just the three of us powerful fairies side by side. an example to the otherworld."
"we're nothing like you." bloom said in pain.
"you're right. so plan b will be a little different."
faye looked up to see grey magic clouds and rosalind absorbing them. the girl held onto bloom tightly. rosalind touched bloom's chin and faye's cheek.
"did you realise, if you're in suspension-"
bloom's face began to freeze up but nothing happened to faye. she looked at bloom in horror.
rosalind brought bloom up to her feet. "i can still channel the dragon flame from you?"
"stop it!" faye yelled, hitting rosalind with her magic. the woman faltered for a moment but regained her posture, ignoring faye completely.
bloom's entire body froze up, faye quickly stood to her feet, her eyes were dark as she looked at rosalind. her hit the woman with her magic again, using all her strength.
she managed to dodge a few of her shots but the majority hit her, faye tried to take away rosalind's magic, she was confident it was working because she felt large bursts of energy enter her body.
"you are stronger than i thought, faye silva." rosalind spat. "just like your mother."
"speak about my mum again and i will kill you!" faye yelled at the moment, hitting her with more of her magic, this time in longer bursts which were also more powerful.
rosalind stumbled backward into a tall gravestone. "farah was weak, she couldn't run this school as i have."
faye felt warmth in her back and saw blue swirls fly across her body. she glanced behind her and saw large dark blue wings, her jaw dropped.
rosalind looked as though she could be sick. "well, you seem to be a lot stronger than farah ever was."
faye's wings shot electricity particles in anger, the girl looked down at bloom to see she was unfreezing.
"you really think you have a chance against us? bloom has the dragon's flame and i'm fucking angry." faye snarled at the woman and helped bloom stand up onto her feet again.
bloom brought out the dragon's flame and faye used all the magic she could, it slowly merged together.
rosalind's eyes were wide. "on second thoughts maybe i was wrong"
but before she could say anything else the magic shot between rosalind and the girls causing the magic to spread out causing the ground beneath them to shake. faye and bloom stared at each other, neither of them saying a word.
it must've been minutes until faye heard multiple footsteps behind them but she couldn't look away from rosalind's body, well more so skin almost burnt to the bone.
"we lost control." bloom said quietly, hearing the footsteps too.
