A WEEK HAD passed since the premiere. leaving not only ryan, but also walker back at home for the weekend. saturday nights at fairview was commonly known for parties. they were known for constant makeout sessions in your moms bedroom. they were known for slut shaming, and rumors.

yet, those parties were the talk of the week, till the next one came. and once finding out that lani's parents wouldn't be home all weekend, ki and vienna tried to convince the girl to throw.

in reality, it wasn't up to lani. ki was the oldest, ki was watching the house. yet after the breakdown this week, everyone had been a lot lighter on the younger sister.

"if you really don't want to, we don't need to throw." kiera sighed, looking at her little sister across the kitchen table.

kalani shook her head in response. "i don't wanna let you down by doing that ki"

"what do you think vienna?" the older sister questioned, allowing her sisters best friend to join into the conversation. "would you help?"

vienna perked up off the kitchen counter. she had been leaning her head on it at the time. a smile formed on her face before she made her way over behind lani. rubbing her back, she responded "where do we start?"

WHAT WAS SUPPOSED to be a fun night with three girls and a fifty other people from fairview, quickly turned into an intoxicated room of over two hundred high schoolers. it had been fully overwhelming, and being fully honest, something lani didn't need in the moment.

the girl had been standing in the kitchen, red cups scattered all over the countertops and floor. splashes of red, brown, and clear drinks covered the ground as well, leaving a wretched smell to rise into the room.

kalani had a plastic bottle in her hand, yet saying it was filled with water would be a straight lie.

"didnt expect to see you standing in here alone." a boys voice was heard, walking into the room.

lani picked her head upwards, moving her eyes from the ground to the doorway.

there stood ryan. her jaw dropped, she hadn't seen the boy since her and walker broke up, so seeing the brunette in the girls own kitchen shocked her slightly.

"and water too? shocker." he added on.

a smirk raised on lani's face before she walked over to the boy. "take a sip."

of course, the boy grabbed the bottle, and took a swig out of it. immediately, he made a grossed out face, causing lani to burst into laughter. "god i missed you ryan." the girl said to him.

the boy smiled at the girl. "i missed you too lani."

for around 20 minutes, the two caught up with eachother. the greatest surprise was seeing him again. though she might've hated walker, god did she miss the friendship she had with ryan.

she wished it could've ended better, the boy did too. and so when they finally saw eachother again, they were feeling nothing but joy.

till the worst came along.

"ryan, i told you to get me a drink over 10 minutes ago." walker said, picking his head up from his phone. his eyes widened as he made eye contact with the girl by the countertop.

lani made her way over to the boy, proceeding to stare at him. "who invited you."

"lani it was a-" walker started before being interrupted.

"call me kalani."

"it was open invite kalani." he added on.

the girl shook her head. "not an open invite to you. get the fuck out of my house."

walker continued to stare at the girl wide eyed after that. ryan stood behind the two, making himself the drinks that not only he wanted, but what walker did truly ask for twenty minutes before hand. "you cant be serious."

"let me enjoy my night walk." she said, before slamming into the boy's shoulder and walking away. the drink in her hand for vienna spilled all over his newly white shirt. turning it to a dark brown color, leaving a sour scent to illuminate off of it.

"jesus christ, that's why i fucking broke up with her." walker said to himself, before making his way over to ryan and grabbing the cup from his hand. he then went to the kitchen sink and put a paper towel under the faucet. once getting it wet, he placed the paper towel on the stain, dabbing up as much of the drink out of his shirt as possible.

LANI MADE HER way back to vienna and proceeded to hand the drink to her.

"dude why is this shit half full?" vienna questioned, looking into the cup.

"i spilt it on walker." lani replied, in which vienna laughed in response. her best friend had to be kidding. if walker was here, that means ryan was too.

"good one lanzo" she smiled, using the nickname vienna loved to say.

"i'm being deadass." lani responded, staring into viennas eyes with a straight face.

her smile faded quickly. the blonde then made her way to the bathroom and locked herself in there for the rest of the night.
