elle smiled at the little flurries of snow sprinkling from the light clouds above. it was early afternoon, the sun playing peekaboo as it hid behind some snow clouds. the snowflakes fell from the blue sky, the icicles reaching out as they attach to any surface.

she was admiring the beauty, her freezing fingertips dancing on her digital note pad as she tries to settle her shaking body. the gears in her mind cranking up a storm as she reflects her love life over the past three months...

december and january, the holiday season came and went. they celebrated their friends' birthdays and had threw an amazing new years' eve party in elle's condo apartment. champagne bottles popping, excited people yelling, too many makeout sessions to count, the while queen and doja cat were booming in the speakers, derrielle was very shocked that no one had sent cops to noise control...

and now, february, the coldest moth of them all, had settled upon the couple as they were on a winter and ski retreat in colorado.

their skis resting in a small, makeshift hut built by the campgrounds. the nearest mountain's chair lifts can be seen in the distance, standing still as the winds picked up a bit— elle's sweaty, wool hat hair sticking to her cold face, like ice attached to heat.

"darling?" drew asks his girlfriend as he walks toward their wooden cabin, carrying some bundles of firewood under the puffy arm sleeve of his winter jacket. his skin enflaming a bright red color, stinging from the fridge temperatures.

"what are you doing outside? it's freezing out," he settles down the logs on the white grounds. "derry, lemme warm you up before you get sick, c'mon," he holds out his gloved hand, a shiver running down his spine as the coldness nips at his exposed skin.

smiling up at him in thanks, she takes his hand— but instead of following his lead indoors, she pulls him further into their own winter wonderland.

"i will join you inside by the fire," elle says, tapping him on his broad chest, "but only if you enjoy the snow with me. it's so beautiful."

"yeah," drew nods, purely paying attention to his girlfriend's features. "beautiful in deed." he pulls her by the hands, his pink lips quickly kissing hers.

their hot breath fan across their faces as they press against each other, feverishly, relentlessly; both for protection from the harsh weather and the apparent need for heat.

"hmm," derrielle hums in amusement, the sound tilting on the edge of a pleasantry moan, as drew bites her bottom lip as drags it down. "what we're you saying about warming me up?"
