story synopsis :: raised as the daughter of an honest tradesman, raelthya was good. or good enough in the dark kingdom of daemei, land of the demons. when her father died on a job for the demon king, at the tender age of 11, she was an orphan. living on the streets and seeing firsthand the results of the tyrannous rule of the demon king, she plans to overthrow him and seek justice for everyone who can't.

but along the path of a honest victory, she finds dark secrets that point to signs of her father's death as a murder. dark secrets that prove daemei is a land of horrid death and sin. dark secrets that prove they, the demons as a species, are not natural. are not whole. when she hears the demon king was responsible for her father's death, she kills him slowly and as the laws of daemei state, she has risen to the status of demon queen.

and with that status comes the horrifying truth of their kingdom and the cost of their survival.
