{15} Hidden Tano *AU*

A/N: Hey guys! So this is sortttt offf definitelyyyy a Star Wars AU. This will be tightly linked to Star Wars The Clone Wars. I just thought it'd be a really fun idea to write for! Also, sorry but this one won't be much of reader x Newt at all, but I had this idea and just threw it in here. I'd also like to mention that I probably won't be posting any Imagines for a while as I've hit serious writer's block, and have also drifted from the TMR fandom (as is evident in this Imagine), so please bear with me on this and I'm sorry for the hiatus. Happy New Year to anyone who reads this! Xx

Y/N's POV
Escaping the Maze felt like a dream to Y/N. But it was finally here.
And yet something felt... odd.
Like déjà vu.

"Hey, Y/N? Come on, we're almost there." Newt's voice pulled her out of her reverie, as his hand on her back gently guided her to the group again.

"Yeah. Yeah, of course..." she softly replied.

Their escape wasn't easy; the manic dash and battle through the Maze, the eerie wandering through the damp tunnels that led to the blood-soaked... office? Lab? Headquarters?
Y/N wasn't quite sure where they were.
Nothing seemed familiar anymore, except her boys: Minho, Thomas, Gally, Chuck and Newt.
They'd all escaped together after what could only be described as a unanimous vote.

And she guessed Teresa would count, just not as one of her boys. An acquaintance at most.

Swivelling her neck to look around the destroyed room, Y/N felt as if she was underwater. Not drowning, just... numb.
Dazed.

Suddenly the air cleared, as her eyes focused in on something glinting. A cylindrical metal canister-looking-tube.

"Ahsoka"

Y/N flinched. She quickly glanced around to see where the whisper had come from, but no one was anywhere near her; the rest of the group was looking for a way out of the hastily  deserted room.

"Ahsoka"

This one was stronger this time, louder and made goosebumps appear on Y/N's skin. The word was foreign to her at first, but now she could recognise it as a name- a familiar one. She cast her eyes back to the object and started to walk tentatively closer to the desk where it lay.

"Ahsoka, come home"

Y/N's eyes widened as her pace quickened. That one didn't even sound like a whisper to her- more like someone was standing right beside her talking to her. Someone she knew, a familiar voice she felt she could trust.
A foreign feeling of desperation and happiness spread throughout her at the voice. Why did she feel like this??

She started to accelerate even more: she could now sense the voices and déjà vu were being caused by this metal tube.

By the time she reached the desk she was so engrossed in the mystery that she didn't even notice her boyfriend of 3 years approaching her with an inquisitive face.

Reaching out with her hand quickly, Y/N grabbed the object.
Before she could even register how familiar, how comforting, how right it felt to hold the weapon again, visions threw her head back and clouded her eyes as images swept through her mind.

Coruscant, The Temple, The Jedi...

The Clone Wars, The Seperatists, The Republic...

A whole universe of thousands of planets, people, races...

Her Jedi master, Anakin, and his previous master, Obi-Wan...

Her family in battle, the Clones...

Being taken prisoner by Dooku's forces upon a peaceful planet, and placed into an experiment she knew nothing about...

Gasping awake again, Y/N remembered... she remembered everything. The shock forced her lungs to inhale even more oxygen, and yet it still didn't seem to be enough.
Her thoughts flew at a thousand miles an hour. She could feel everything around her- sense it through the force: the force signatures of people around her, the unsteady danger surrounding them and the emotions of fear and anxiety that radiated off of them.
The sudden reconnection to the Force overwhelmed her.
It was as if the memories, the lightsaber she touched, had lifted a barrier that separated her from herself- from her connection to the Force.

The weapon, (which she now recognised to be her lightsaber), was no longer in her hands as it had fallen to the floor when she passed out, and it had rolled out of her hands.
As her environment came more into focus, Y/N noticed that her head was currently being cradled in Newt's lap as he shakily brushed her hair out of her face.

"Newt! Newt... I-I," she struggled for breathe to voice her thoughts, "I remember. Everything."

His eyes widened, and the shock made his lips part open slightly. A crinkle in his eyebrow appeared as he slowly helped her up.
"What do you mean? What do you remember? How? Can you tell me?" Questions poured out of his mouth.

"I don't know how to tell you, it's all so crazy. Just... give me time. Please, to collect my thoughts. I promise I will tell you, just not yet."

Nodding his head in sympathy and understanding, he moved his arm around her waist to support her as she gained her balance.

A growing mumble of blaster fire could be heard outside the doors at one side of the room, climaxing louder and louder as the fight got closer.
Y/N could now call the sound familiar- the sound of war, fighting and death.
Yells of panic and cries of pain could be heard throughout it, and the strong booming voice of a commanding officer.
A voice that Y/N recognised.
The same one that seemed to call to her.
Anakin.
The Gladers who were surrounding Y/N and Newt with worried looks stood up and formed a circle in apprehension of the unknown battle.

Reflexive instincts kicked in; Y/N scrambled to find the lightsaber she had unknowingly dropped, and once she had it gripped in her palm she pushed out of the circle and sprinted for the door, igniting the emerald blade as she ran.
Her friends yelled her name behind her but before they could chase her, she reflexively pushed them back; not with her hands, but with a force push.
It was as if her body was running on autopilot.

Momentarily shocked by her muscle memory Y/N stood stunned staring at her flabbergasted friends. And then the blast door opened...

And all hell broke loose.

Anakin's POV
Obi-wan had given up long ago on trying to calm Anakin down.
They were currently stationed at Shilli, tasked with liberating it of Seperatist invaders, yet Anakin couldn't focus.
And his unfocused approach was starting to irk Obi-Wan, yet it was for good reason, (in Anakin's mind atleast).
The home-world of the Togruta reminded him of his missing Padawan- Ahsoka Tano; three years ago she was kidnapped whilst on a solo mission and after six months of searching, the Council had ordered Anakin to stop.

With no leads or living witnesses, it seemed nothing but dead ends and lost hope to them. Even though Anakin never gave up, (especially on his friends and family), he had begun to lose hope three months in.
He'd secretly been searching for any leads on her whereabouts for three years now, and come up with nothing.
He was still furious at the Council for abandoning her, and furious at himself for failing to save her.
He knew she wasn't dead, he could still feel the ghost of their bond, but he could tell there was some sort of force inhibitor working on her end. This worried him- a Jedi alone and without the Force in the universe was a sad thing.
Even though he knew she wasn't dead, he worried greatly; what if she was being forced to work as a servant, or worse, sold as a slave? Anakin struggled to release his mind from the stress and guilt.

It seemed the stress and frustration of his inability to rescue his daughter-figure had finally accumulated into an almighty storm on Shilli. He tore through the battle droids and lead his men to victory multiple times, yet the Seperatists seemed more desperate than usual to cling onto control of this planet.
What was so valuable to them here that they were willingly to lose every single soldier in their droid army?

The question was answered in the middle of a regular firefight.
The Jedi Generals both sensed a darkness envelope the battlefield before they saw him: Count Dooku.
Confusion sprouted from both men as they noticed the abhorrent issue with the situation: Dooku was running from the battle. And was that fear they could sense rolling off of him?

Anakin turned to Obi-Wan with a raised eyebrow whilst Obi-Wan stared at him equally perplexed.

Sensing their presence Dooku turned to then before his deep voice boomed across, "You can have who you seek- what's left of them atleast."
His cloak billowed as he began to turn onto his rapidly rising ship, before it zoomed off, escaping the warzone.

"'Who we seek'? What do you suppose that means??" An extremely frustrated Skywalker asked.

"I have absolutely no idea, Anakin."

They pushed forward, once again brought into focus by the retreating droids. It appeared that Dooku's departure had sparked their defeat.

~time skip~

"Round up the injured and get them back onto the ship, Rex- I want them sent straight to the closest medical frigate. And once you're done with that, a report on our losses would be necessary I'm afraid." An exhausted and dreary General Skywalker said.

"Yes sir!" The ever-loyal Captain affirmed before walking off to complete his tasks.

Anakin turned to Obi-Wan once both men were finished giving out orders to their troops.
"Obi-Wan, I'm worried- why would Dooku run away like that? And was it just me or did you sense his fear too?"

"No Anakin, I sensed it as well, he seemed afraid of retribution, why I can't say. What I'm more worried about is this 'who' we apparently were searching for."

"Agreed. If someone needs our help, we should look for them. At the very least we should order a perimeter sweep looking for any sign of a struggle or anything unusual."

Nodding his head in agreement Obi-Wan waved over one of the 212th clones and told him to gather a search party and send scouts out.

Turning back to his former apprentice, he advised "I suggest meditating on this issue, maybe the Force will reveal something to us."

Now, Anakin was never one for meditating on your issues- he preferred actively doing something rather than redundant meditating. However, in this instance, his gut was telling him to do everything he could to work on this. He felt drawn to the planet.

"I'll order Rex to make sure no one interrupts us unless there's an emergency."

Sitting cross legged on the bare earth, the Jedi closed their eyes and connected with the living force.

Anakin subconsciously fidgeted with Ahsoka's shoto saber in hand. It was a nervous habit he had developed after a month of carrying the weapon around. He was never sure why he carried it at all times, he just felt like he had to. It was all he had left of her.

Gripping the weapon in one hand, the Force guided him to one location nearby on the planet, his sense of connection to the place now honed onto one location. And even better, he could sense people there, he could sense...

"AHSOKA" Gasping out of his meditation, Anakin's cry of joy made Obi-Wan turn to him.

"What?? Anakin, do you sense her?" Obi-Wan was confused as to why he himself was still failing to if this was true.

"Yes!!! Yes, Obi-Wan, she's here!" Anakin exclaimed before rising off the ground and hurriedly helping Obi-Wan up.

"If you know where she is, we can gather the men and head there now."

"Let's go then."

The 501st and 212th regiments followed their Generals to a well guarded bunker that peaked out of the ground. It was situated as if it were the entryway to an important location.

"Time to turn these tinnies into scrap metal, boys!" Captain Rex shouted encouragingly to his brothers as the two Jedi ignited their blades.

Anakin reached out with the Force whilst deflecting blaster bolts fluidly. Ahsoka was here, he was certain now.
Grasping at their ghostly bond, he called to her presence:

Ahsoka.

Another blaster bolt came, another cry of pain from one of the clones, another swing of his lightsaber to cut down a droid.
He reached out again.

Ahsoka.

Another bolt, another cry, another swing.

Desperately, Anakin cried out in his mind:

Ahsoka, come home.

Another bolt, another cry, another swi-
Anakin's knees collapsed underneath him as the reconnection overwhelmed him.
Their bond had returned, Ahsoka had heard him, she was there again. Whole, alive, thriving.

Grinning, Anakin fought harder towards the base.
"She's here Obi-Wan!"

"I know, Anakin! I can feel it too!" Obi-Wan joyously exclaimed, Ahsoka was technically his Grand-Padawan. And she was back.
Her presence in the Force gleamed once again, shining like a beacon of hope.

The 10 remaining droids were trying to flee back into the base and had opened up the door, they backed up slowly only to be impaled by a green blade.
Recognition and happiness flowed through Anakin; that was Ahsoka.

She sliced through the droids with graceful ease and acrobatic skill.
Then she stood still, panting with exertion as she gaped at her family for the first time in three years.

"Anakin. Obi-Wan. Rex." She whispered before sprinting full speed at her Jedi Master, leaping into his arms as he widely opened them for her.

"You're here. You're actually here!" Relief flooded Anakin, followed by the need to comfort his Padawan and daughter figure, "It's okay now, you're safe. I'm here. We're all here."

A teary eyes Ahsoka pulled away from the hug before turning to Obi-Wan and hugging him as well. He stiffly returned it, not used to such a physical act of affection, but eventually hugged her back. Then Ahsoka turned to Rex and hugged him, before nodding and smiling at all the clones stood before her.

Anakin placed his hand on her shoulder before presenting her shoto to her, "I think this belongs to you, Padawan."

Laughing she replied, "I think it does, Master."
She took it and clipped it to her belt alongside her main lightsaber.

Master and Padawan were reunited once again...

"Y/N?! What the bloody hell is going on?!?" A very confused Newt yelled from behind them.

"Oh, boy. This is gonna take a lot of explaining."

Confused and expectant eyes turned to Ahsoka.

"Nope, not right now! I need sleep, a shower, and a hot meal first before I try to explain anything. Probably not in that order."

This was going to be the biggest headache of her life...
