TONY AND CARSON WERE SAT DOWN IN MAY PARKER'S LIVING ROOM, Carson drinking some of the coffee that May made him mainly to hide his smirk when he noticed the face Tony pulled when he ate some of the cake that May had taken out of the oven twenty minutes prior.

"I actually had no idea that Peter had applied for your grant." May smiled at the pair. "But then again, Peter hasn't been home much lately."

"Oh really," Carson raised a brow. "How come?"

"He's always staying late at school to do extra studying." May explained. "I know there's no harm in it, but I still worry about him. You never know what could happen these days."

Tony and Carson exchange a look, both of them knowing that the reason that May's nephew comes home late is not because of extra studying.

Carson glanced over at the door, his hearing picking up the sound of footsteps coming down the hall. A few seconds later, keys were heard in the door and none other than Peter Parker walked in, gently kicking the door closed behind him with his foot.

"Hey May." Peter said as he dropped his backpack off his shoulder and made his was over to the kitchen, not noticing the two Avengers that were sat in his living room.

"Hey." May smiled at her nephew. "How was school today?"

"It was okay. There's this crazy car parked outside—" Peter turned to look at his aunt and stopped in his tracks when he saw Carson and Tony.

"Mr. Parker." Tony greeted from his spot on the sofa next to May.

"Um..." Peter began walking over to the group, pulling his earbuds out. "What-- What are you doing... Hey Uh, I'm Peter." He stammered.

"I'm Tony and this is Carson." Tony pointed over to Carson who was sat in one of the armchairs, Carson gave Peter a nod.

"What are you.. uh.. what are you doing here?" Peter asked.

"Well, it's about time we met." Tony shrugged. "You've been getting my emails, right?" Tony gave Peter a look, signalling for him to go along with what he was saying.

"Yeah..."

"Right?"

"Yeah, yeah." Peter caught on. "Regarding the..."

"You didn't tell me about the grant." May spoke up.

"About the grant..." Peter scrunched his eyebrows.

"The September Foundation." Carson clarified, giving the younger teen a little help.

"Right." Peter nodded slowly.

"Remember when you applied?" Carson widened his eyes at him, making sure Peter continued to go along with him and Tony's story.

"Yeah, yep, yup, I remember."

"Well, I approved." Tony added, taking a sip of his coffee. "So now, we're in business."

"But you didn't tell me anything." May said, sounding a little hurt. "What's up with that? Are you keeping secrets from me now?"

"Well.." Carson mumbled under his breath.

"I just know how much you love surprises." Peter covered it up. "So, I thought I would let you know... uh-- Anyway, what did I apply for?" He looked at Tony.

Tony stayed silent for a moment, thinking of something to say. "That's what I'm here to hash out."

"Okay." Peter kept changing his stance awkwardly. "Hash it out, yeah, okay."

"It's so hard for me to believe that she's someone's aunt." Tony randomly stated.

Carson looked over at Tony and tilted his head in confusion at the sudden change in topic.

"Yeah, well, we come in all shapes and sizes, you know?" May giggled.

"This walnut date loaf is exceptional." Tony picked one up and showed it to Peter.

"Let me just stop you there." Peter raised his hand. "Is this grant got money involved or whatever? No?"

"Yeah." Tony nodded.

"Yeah?"

"It's pretty well funded. Look who you're talking to."

"Oh really, wow." Peter smiled. "That's awesome."

Tony turned his attention back over to May. "Could me and Carson have five minutes with him?"

May nodded. "Sure."

Tony and Carson stood up and made their way out of the living room, Peter following behind them.

"This your room?" Tony turned and asked Pater, pointing to one of the doors.

"No its uh, the one the your right." Peter gestured to the other door. Tony nodded and walked straight in, the two teens walking in too.

One everyone was inside Carson turned the lock on Peters door, earning a concerned look from the boy but Carson just made his way over to Peter's desk chair and sat down.

"Wait, what are you—"

Peter was interrupted by Tony going over to his bin and spitting out the cake that May made into it.

"As far as walnut date loaves go, that wasn't bad." Tony shrugged.

"What do we have here? Retro tech huh?" Carson looked at the devices on Peter's desk. Tony walked over and had a look too.

"Thrift store? Salvation army?" Tony asked.

"Uh, the garbage, actually." Peter corrected.

"You're a dumpster diver?"

"Yeah I was— anyway, look, um, I definitely did not apply for your grant." Peter explained.

"Ah-ah!" Tony raised a finger, interrupting the boy. "Me first."

"Okay..."

"Quick question of the rhetorical variety." Tony took his phone out of his pocket and displayed a projection of security footage, showing someone swinging from a web and stopping a man from stealing a car. "That's you right?"

Peter's eyes widened and he cleared his throat, trying to brush it off as if it was nothing. "No— What do you uh, what do you mean? That's not me."

Carson chuckled to himself as he heard the boys heartrate going at a million miles per hour. He knew he was lying. Carson looked at Tony and gave him a subtle nod, letting him know. Tony smiled at Carson and then flicked to the next video, showing the same masked person stopping a car that was going at full speed from crashing into a bus.

"Wow!" He said sarcastically. "Nice catch. Three-thousand pounds, forty miles an hour. That's not easy. You got mad skills."

"That's all on YouTube though, right?" Peter deflected. "I mean, that's where you found that? Because you know that's all fake. It's all done on the computer."

"Mmm-hmm." Tony rolled his eyes.

"It's like that video..." Peter began.

Carson scanned around Peter's room, his eyes coming to a stop when he noticed the attic door on his roof with a string hanging down. "Yeah, yeah, yeah. You mean like those UFOs over Phoenix?" Carson said while using his powers to open the attic door, smirking when a suit dropped from out of it on a string.

"Exactly." Peter nodded, turning around but freezing in place for a moment when he saw what was happening.

"Oh, what do we have here?" Tony chuckled.

Peter ran over to the suit and grabbed it, throwing it into the laundry basket and then leaning against the wall. "Uhhhh..."

"So," Tony began, walking over to him. "You're the Spider-ling. Crime-fighting spider. You're Spider-Boy?"

Peter looked down at the floor. "It's Spider-Man."

"Not in that onesie, you're not."

"It's not a onesie." He sighed and walked back over to his desk. "I was actually having a really good day today, y'know? Didn't miss my train, this perfectly good DVD player was just sitting there... and Algebra test, nailed it."

"Who else knows?" Carson asked. "Anybody?"

Peter shook his head. "Nobody."

"Not even your unusually attractive aunt?" Tony chimed in, gaining a scrunched face from both boys.

"No, no, no, no." Peter shook his head. "If she knew, she would freak out. And when she freaks out, I freak out."

"You know what I think is really cool?" Carson picked up a small glass tube from Peter's desk and began examining it. "This webbing. The tensile strength is off the charts. Did you make this?" He asked throwing it over to Peter, who caught it without even looking over in Carson's direction.

"Yeah, I make all my webbing." Peter tossed the jar into the laundry basket.

"Climbing walls, how you doing that? Adhesive gloves?" Tony picked up Peter's suit and began looking at it.

"It's a long story. I was—"

"Lordy!" Tony held up the goggles to his eyes. "Can you even see in these?"

"Yes, yes I can." Peter walked over to him and took his suit from out of Tony's hands.

"I'm blind!" Tony claimed dramatically, making Carson laugh.

"I can see in those. Okay? It's just that when whatever happened, happened... it's like my senses have been dialled to eleven. There's way too much input, so they just kinda help me focus." Peter explained to the pair.

"You're in dire need of an upgrade." Tony said. "Systemic, top to bottom, hundred-point restoration. That's why we're here."

Peter sat down on his bed, taking in what Tony was saying.

"Why are you doing this? I gotta know, what's your MO? What gets you outta that twin bed in the morning?"

"Because..." Peter stammered and looked down at his hands. "Because I've been me, my whole life. And I've had these powers for six months. I read books, I build computers, and yeah I would love to play football, but I couldn't then so I shouldn't now."

"Sure, because your different." Carson nodded.

"Exactly. But I can't tell anybody that, so I'm not." Peter took a deep breath and paused for a moment. "When you can do the things that I can, but you don't... and then the bad things happen... they happen because of you."

"So, you wanna look out for the little guy? You wanna do your part? Make the world a better place, all that, right?" Tony questioned.

"Yeah, just looking out for the little guy." Peter tapped his hands on his legs. "That's what it is."

Tony stood up and walked over to him. "I'm gonna sit here, so you move the leg."

Peter shuffled further along his bed and Tony sat down next to him, placing a hand on his shoulder.

"You got a passport?" He asked.

"No, I don't even have a driver's license."

"You ever been to Germany?"

"No."

Carson raised a brow at Tony when he realised why he was asking Peter.

"Oh, you'll love it."

"I can't go to Germany." Peter shook his head.

"Why?" Tony scrunched his face.

"I got... homework."

Tony looked over his shoulder at Carson and scoffed in disbelief in response to what what Peter had just said. "I'm gonna pretend you didn't say that." He stood up.

"I'm being serious!" Peter continued. "I can't just drop out of school."

"Might be a little dangerous, better tell Aunt Hottie I'm taking you on a field trip." Tony teased.

Just as Tony grabbed the doorknob, Peter stood up form his spot and aimed his hand towards Tony, shooting a web to keep his hand stuck in place.

"Don't tell Aunt May." He warned.

"Alright, Spider-Man." Tony said.

Tony looked down at his webbed up hand then looked over at Carson after hearing a light chuckle leave his mouth. Peter tried to stifle a laugh too once he saw the look on Tony's face and noticed Carson's reaction. But the smile quickly dropped from Peter's face when he met Tony's eyes, he cleared his throat and shuffled his stance awkwardly.

"Get me out of this." Tony huffed.

"Oh right yeah, sorry..."
