CARSON WAS LEANT ON HIS SIDE against the wall watching Clint trying to pry open the cradle as they waited for Bruce and Tony to return.
"Anything on Nat?" Bruce questioned, walking into the room beside Tony.
"Haven't heard. But she's alive, or Ultron would be rubbing our faces in it." Tony answered while making his was over to the cradle, giving Carson and light pat on the shoulder on the way past.
Clint stopped trying to open the cradle and jumped off of it, taking a moment to catch his breath. "This is sealed tight."
"We're gonna need to access the program, break it down from within." Bruce informed the trio.
"Mm-hm." Tony hummed in agreement before turning to look at Clint. "Any chance Natasha might leave you a message outside the internet? Old-school spy stuff?"
Clint stood there for a few moments, clearly deep in thought. "There's some nets I can cast. Yeah, alright... I'll find her." He said before going downstairs. Tony looked up at Carson and gave him a re-assuring smile to which he nodded in response.
"I could work on tissue degeneration." Bruce began. "If you could fry whatever operational system Cho implanted."
"Yeah.. about that." Tony reluctantly started. Carson was quick to look up at him, he knew exactly what he was going to do.
"No." Bruce said before he Tony could get another word in.
"You have to trust me."
"Kinda don't."
"Our ally, the guy protecting the military's nuclear codes, I found him." Tony announced before lifting up a remote and displaying a projection of a very much, fixed JARVIS.
"Hello Mr. Swan, Dr. Banner." The AI greeted.
"Ultron didn't go after Jarvis because he was angry..." Tony began.
"He went after him because he was scared of what he can do." Carson finished off Tony's sentence, folding his arms and raising his eyebrows at the AI. Tony looked at Carson and nodded in agreement.
"So Jarvis went underground." Tony continued. "Scattered, dumped his memory. But not his protocols. He didn't even know he was in there until I pieced him together."
Bruce rubbed his forehead and scoffed in response at the information Tony was giving him. "So, you want me to help you put Jarvis into this thing?"
"No! Of course not." Tony replied, making Carson furrow his brows. He knew there was another comment coming.
"I wanna help you put Jarvis in this thing."
There it was.
Bruce looked away from the pair and began shaking his head in disagreement.
"We're out of my field here. You know bio-organics better than anyone." Tony added, trying to butter Bruce up.
"And you just assume that Jarvis' operational matrix can beat Ultron's?"
"Jarvis has been beating him from the inside without knowing it." Tony stated, a proud smile creeping onto his face. "This is this opportunity. We can create Ultron's perfect self, without the homicidal glitches he thing are his winning personality."
"I believe it's worth a go." Jarvis spoke up, making Carson smirk.
"I'm in a loop! I'm caught in a time loop. This is exactly where it all went wrong." Bruce protested.
"I know, I know. I know what everyone's gonna say, but they're already saying it." Tony placed a hand on Bruce's shoulder. "We're mad scientists. We're monsters, buddy. We've gotta own it. Make a stand."
"Well that's one way to convince him." Carson mumbled under his breath.
"It's not a loop Bruce, It's the end of the line."
Bruce looked away and down at the cradle. He spent the next few moments in silence considering the options before taking a deep breath and looking between Carson and Tony.
"Let's do it."

The trio remained in the lab going ahead with Tony's plan to upload Jarvis into the being in the cradle. Tony towards the back of the room typing something sciency up on the computer he was working on, Bruce remained stationed near the cradle going through some files and Carson sat at one of the desks with his feet resting on top of it, flipping the same knife from before around his fingers to keep him entertained. He helped every so often when he was needed, but it was mainly just to lift things or read data. He was an extremely smart kid there was no doubt about that, but this was something Tony and Bruce decided to take the lead on. You know, this situation being a possible threat to the world and all.
"This framework is not compatible." Tony huffed. "Carson, what's the percentage at for the genetic coding?"
Carson leaned back in the chair slightly so he could get a better view of the screen. "It's at 97%"
"Tony, you've got to upload that schematic in the next three minutes." Bruce ordered.
Carson's attention drifted turned to the door when the sound of 3 heart beats coming towards them rang in his ears. He didn't bother to move, he continued spinning the knife around his fingers not taking his eyes away from it. He tilted his head slightly as he focused on the 3 heartbeats. He could tell that one of them was Steve, he's heard it too many times. The other was beating very fast, whoever it was they was clearly excited, so he guessed it was the silver haired twin. Which only left one option as to who the last one would be. Wanda. Even if he hadn't brought it down to Wanda by ruling out the other options, he would've known it was her anyway. He could tell by the sound of the light stepping and the nervous flutters of her heartbeat. She always seemed to be on edge.
"Aaaand in 3... 2... 1..." Carson mumbled under his breath.
Just on queue Steve turned around the corner and stepped into the room, the twins stood behind him. "I'm gonna say this once."
Tony looked up from his work and narrowed his eyes at Steve. "How about none-ce?"
"Shut it down!" Steve ordered.
"Nope not gonna happen."
"You don't know what you're doing!" Steve took another step forward.
"And you do? She's not in your head." Carson said bitterly, not bothering to look up from the knife his eyes were focused on.
Wanda stepped forward from behind Pietro and looked at Carson, her facial expressions softened. "I know you're angry..."
Carson still didn't bother to fully acknowledge Wanda, instead he just scoffed at her comment. Wanda looked down at the ground slightly hurt at the fact that he couldn't even bring himself to look at her.
"Listen, after everything that's happened-" Steve began but quickly got cut off by Tony.
"It's nothing compared to what's coming!"
"This isn't a game!" Steve raised his voice.
"You don't know what's in there!" Wanda spoke up.
There it was that burst of confidence again.
Carson turned his head to the side slightly and looked at Wanda with an eyebrow cocked. Her eyes met his for a few seconds. She gave him a small smile then quickly looked away. She felt better knowing that he'd finally looked at her, even if it was with an emotionless look on his face.
Within seconds all the cords and wires that was attached into the cradle were pulled out one by one. Everyone looked around confused at the trail of blue mist that was being left around the room, until it came to a stop revealing Pietro stood there holding the final cord that was plugged into the cradle in his hand.
"No, no. Go on. You were saying?" Pietro said with a smug look smacked across his face. It didn't last long, as a gunshot came from the floor below, shattering the glass he was stood on making him fall straight through.
"Pietro!" Wanda called out.
Clint walked over to the the boy and placed his foot on his chest keeping him down. "What? You didn't see that coming?"
Carson looked around the room analysing everyone's stances. He knew that something was about to go down. He took his feet from off the desk and looked over his shoulder and saw Tony rushing over to the cradle to begin the programming process again. Carson heard the slight creak in the floor and his head quickly turned to see Steve getting ready to throw his shield at Tony. He raised his hand and used his powers the pull the shield from out of Steve's hands and throw it across the room away from him. Tony noticed this and used one of his iron man gloves to shoot Steve back.
"Go ahead, piss me off."
This caught Carson's attention and he turned around to see Bruce with his arm around Wanda's neck. Even though he wasn't fond of the girl, he didn't particularly like seeing Bruce hurting her. Carson clenched his jaw and just as he was about to intervene, Thor rushed into the room. He leaped on top of the cradle before raising his hammer and summoning a few bolts of lighting which he then proceeded to throw down at the cradle.
"WAIT!" Bruce shouted.
They all watched as the lightning flowed through the cradle, causing the power to overload. The lights began flickering on and off and all the devices that we're linked to the cradle began sparking due to all the power that was being fed to it.
Once the lightning had disappeared, the room stayed silent for a few moment and everyone looked at Thor. A few seconds later, Thor was sent back flying as a red figure burst out of the cradle. It was crouched down on top of the container and slowly began to stand up, glancing at everyone in the room. Once the creature's eyes had landed upon Thor, it lunged at him only to be thrown through the glass by Thor. It stopped itself right before one of the huge windows over looking the city.
Everyone rushed over to where the figure had gone. Steve picked up his shield on the way and had it ready. Carson's crimson energy began flowing around his hands. Thor held out his hand, signalling for the two to stand down. Wanda took a spot next to Carson and looked down at his hands, analysing his powers. They both looked at each other, but this time as soon as their eyes met both Wanda and Carson's eyes unexpectedly glowed their almost similar red colours. A weird sensation suddenly rushed through Carson's body and by the reaction that Wanda had, it looked like she felt it too. The pair both looked away at the same time, confused as to what just happened.
The creature looked at it's reflection in the window for a while before forming some sort of clothes on it's body and making it's way back over to the group. Thor placed down his hammer to show that he meant no harm.
"I'm sorry, that was.. odd." It turned it's attention to Thor. "Thank you."
"Thor, you helped create this?" Steve asked.
"I've had a vision. A whirlpool that sucks in all hope of life, and at it's centre is that." Thor pointed towards the stone in The Vision's head.
"What, that little gem thing?" Carson quizzed.
"It's the Mind Stone. It's one of the six Infinity Stones. The greatest power in the universe, unparalleled in it's destructive capabilities." Thor informed everyone.
Steve let out a sighed before speaking. "Then why would you bring-"
"Because Stark is right." Thor interrupted Steve.
Carson choked on air. "Did I just hear that correctly?"
"Oh, it's definitely the end times." Bruce added.
"The Avengers cannot defeat Ultron."
"Not alone." The Vision continued.
"Why does your 'Vision' sound like Jarvis?" Steve asked looking at Thor.
"We reconfigured Jarvis' matrix, to create something new." Tony spoke, a confused but yet an amazed look on his face.
"I think I've had my fill of new." Steve scoffed.
"You think I'm a child of Ultron?" The vision asked.
"You're not?"
"I'm not Ultron. I am not Jarvis. I am... I am." The vision said looking around at everyone.
"Oh how.. poetic?" Carson mumbled, rubbing the back of his neck.
"I looked in your head and saw annihilation." Wanda spoke up.
"Wow, you really do have a thing for invading peoples privacy don't you?" Carson muttered cocking an eyebrow at Wanda as she looked over her shoulder at him. She frowned slightly then looked back at Vision.
"Look again." Vision contradicted.
"Her seal of approval means jack to me." Clint said stepping more into the room.
"Their powers, the horrors in our heads, Ultron himself, they all came from the Mind Stone. And they're nothing compared to what it can unleash." Thor spoke. "But with it on our side.."
"Is it? Are you on our side?" Steve quizzed.
"I don't think it's that simple." The android replied.
"Well.. it better get real simple, real soon." Clint shot back.
"I am on the side of life. Ultron isn't. He will end it all." The vision told them all.
"What's he waiting for?" Tony questioned.
"You."
"Where?" Carson asked.
"Sokovia." Clint said, glancing over at the twins. "He's got Nat there, too."
Bruce inched closer to the android, his tone becoming more stern than before. "If we're wrong about you, if you're the monster that Ultron made you to be.."
"What will you do?" The android challenged.
Carson made eye contact with Vision and raised his eyebrows. "Well, we'll all make sure that you're simply just..." He proceeded to mimic and explosion with his hands.
The android caught on to what the boy meant and was quick to speak up. "I don't want to kill Ultron. He's unique and he's in pain. But that pain will roll over the Earth. So he must be destroyed. Every form he's built, every trace of his presence on the net. We have to act now. And not one of us can do it without the others."
The android took a few moments before speaking up again and looked down at it's hands. "Maybe I am a monster. I don't think I'd know if I were one. I'm not what you are, and not what you intended. So, there may be no way to make you trust me. But we need to go." Vision picked up Thor's hammer and held it out for him. Everyone looked at between the two in shock. Thor took his hammer and stood in silence.
"Right." Thor cleared his throat before walking over to Tony and giving him a pat on the shoulder. "Well done."
Tony looked around at before speaking, "Big day tomorrow people, everyone go and get some sleep." After that, everyone took off in different directions. Carson brushed past Wanda and left to go to his room.
Tony looked over at the twins who looked unsure as to what to do. He sighed, "You two, come with me I'll show you your rooms." They hesitantly nodded and followed him down the corridor.
