after a very hectic morning of umiko trying to wake camie up for school, the two girls got ready, ate breakfast together and then headed to school. another driver was hired to take camie all the way to shiketsu and the girls agreed to see eachother when they both got home.
umiko had slept peacefully that night, feeling content knowing that her bestfriend was in the room near hers. it made her feel safe. it made the large mansion feel less lonely. she could only hope it stayed like that for a while. unlike momo, her parents were barely home. it's why she liked going to the girls so much. her parents were always round and they usually had guests over so the large home never really felt empty.
as she approached the school grounds she noticed a heap of photographers and interviewers crowding the front gates. she grumbled before ducking her head low and squeezing through most without trying to be recognised.
"hey you! can you tell us what it's like to work so closely with all might?"a reporters voice was heard before a weird sound entered her ears.
as she got closer to the front she noticed midoryia and uraraka was being questioned quite a bit by a women she usually saw stalking her residence. she noticed how midoryia stumbled back waving his arms around making up an excuse.
"are you one of all might's students? tell us what the symbol of peace is like in person?" the reporter women asked loudly as she stuck her microphone in uraraka's face.
umiko walked up to the brunette before placing a soft hand on her shoulder to grab her attention. the reporters face turned to a smirk as she now pushed the microphone to umiko's mouth.
"umiko watatsumi! daughter to pro heroes, kiyohime mikoto and ryūjin watatsumi. tell us what it's like training under all might's guidance" the women was persistent, umiko would admit. but she just wanted to get into school as quick as possible.
"no comment" was all the girl said before she began dragging uraraka into the school grounds with her. she could hear the reporter begin to shout after her causing her to grit her teeth to stop her from doing something that would tarnish her families reputation.
"thank you" she could hear uraraka whisper as she let go of her arm, now walking beside her in at a normal pace.
"no problem" umiko smiled widely, her whole attitude changing in that one minute they were away from the camera's.

"let's get down to business. our first task will decide your future" mr. aizawa said causing the whole classes faces to drop into ones of determination, anticipation and nerves.
"what this time?" she mumbled to herself as she forward on her desk stuffing her face into her arms not in the mood for it.
"you all need to pick a class representative" the mans monotone voice reached her ears causing her to spring up in her seat with her hand in the air.
"pick me!" "pick me guys! i wanna be class rep!" umiko and kirishima yelled out at the sam time as they began bouncing around in excitement. everyone in the class began springing around and shouting out how they should be chosen and it should obviously be them before iida interrupted.
"silence! everyone please. the class representatives duty is to lead us. that's not something anyone can do. you must first have the trust of every student in the classroom. therefore, the most logical way to fill this position is democratically. we will hold an election to choose our leader" the boys words echoed throughout the room as everyone watched him impatiently.
"it's pretty obvious how you want us to vote for you" the whole class said simultaneously making umiko stiffle a laugh.
"is this really the best idea?" denki asked making umiko nod in agreement as she stood and took a seat on kirishima's desk so she was closer to the discussion.
"we've only known each other a few days. how do we know who we can trust?" asui asked making umiko raise a hand in the air to answer the rhetorical question.
she may have been extremely intelligent, but hanging around with camie for so long had slightly turned her into an airhead. although, it was only in some moments.
"exactly! but whoever gets the most votes must be the most trusted in the class and is the most suitable" she smiled widely making the students stare at her in awe. she looked so precious.
"she's such an airhead but so smart at the same time, my kind of woman" mineta drooled as he stared at the female who sat with one leg over another on the desk, exposing her smooth legs.
"do what you want. but just decide before my naps over" aizawa said before cocooning himself in his sleeping bag and throwing his body to the floor to sleep.

after voting was done it turned out midoryia had three votes and was in the lead. this caused a stir with baguko making the boy jump out of his seat in anger. umiko only rolled her eyes as she watched midoryia and momo walk to the front of the room. she was the only one to clap for the two as she had voted for momo.
she walked to lunch with ashido as she began to talk about how excited she was to see how midoryia would do. the girl listened to her as much as she could well also paying much attention to where she was going.
"so, how do you and todoroki know eachother?" ashido asked with a smile as she turned to the girl who was obviously quite popular in the school.
umiko let a large smile cross her face as she thought of the two- toned hair boy "we grew up together. although, sho would deny it probably" she said nonchalantly.
"how does it feel to be friends with such a babe?" ashido asked as she gushed over the attractive boy, umiko could only slightly laugh in reply.
"he is great to stare at i'll admit" she whispered with a tiny smirk tugging at her lips as she watched ashido's smile grow even more.
before anything else could be exchanged between the two an alarm began ringing throughout the whole lunch hall "warning! level three security breach. all students should evacuate the building in an orderly fashion" the alarm system repeated.
instead of listening students began running for the exit in fear as screams and yelps left their throats. umiko grabbed ashido's hand as she dragged the pink haired girl to the crowd. she knew she couldn't get her wings out and fly them over considering there wasn't enough room to spread them.
she felt herself begin to be trampled as her hand lost the grip of ashido. she turned her head rapidly as she tried finding the pink girl. she could see kirishima and kaminari in the midst trying to calm everyone down before they were dragged further into it.
she also noticed iida squashed against a window as her body was pushed forward with the others moving and further away from ashido. "iida!" she called out hoping her friend would hear her.
"umiko! uraraka!" iida called out noticing how both girls were getting pulled further into the chaos to probably end up being trampled.
umiko calmed her breathing down as she tried focusing on a way out of the mess to a place where it wasn't so hectic. that's when she saw him. ash blonde hair pushing his way through students to the side of the halls. so without even thinking, she followed.
she saw him enter a small room and latched onto the handle that was on the door before she also entered. it was a broom closet? it had a small light in the middle of the ceiling and a few buckets in the corner. baguko's intimidating glare lifted as he connected his eyes to her.
"what are you doing? why did you follow me?" the boy yelled out as he took a menacing step towards her.
the girl only rolled her eyes and crossed her arms as she didn't budge from her spot. she didn't know why she followed him, but she knew she couldn't just walk out now. she wanted to figure out the mystery that was katsuki baguko and thought this would be a good place to start.
"because i didn't feel like being trampled" she said sarcastically as baguko glared down at her, his teeth gritting in the process.
she placed a hand on his chest before pushing him away from her quickly as she turned around so she could sit on one of the buckets turned upside down. the girl let her body relax as she rested her back on the wall, ignoring baguko as he stared at her, inspecting her every move.
the room was silent as the boy turnt his back to her still annoyed that she had followed him away from the mess that was going on outside. he didn't want to speak to her and didn't like the fact that she wasn't intimidated by him like everyone else.
"why don't you like midoryia?" she asked the question that had been bugging her since she found out about the feud between the two. or more specifically, baguko's hate for the boy.
"deku" he sneered under his breath making her raise an eyebrow "because he's a worthless loser!" the boy suddenly yelled more aggressively as he turned around with wide eyes.
umiko felt her heart speed up at the sight, she wasn't scared but didn't know how she felt seeing him shouting. she thought it was unnecessary of him to speak so ill of midoryia considering the green haired boy had been nothing but lovely since arriving at u.a. and he was definitely not worthless.
"you know what i think?" she asked only to receive no reply, she scoffed before continuing "i think you're insecure" she finished.
"i am not insecure!" baguko yelled out louder this time as he took quick steps towards her until she was forced back into the wall, his arm trapping her. "shut your mouth you damn extra!"
umiko found it slightly funny how quickly the boy's fuse could blow, she just wouldn't let herself take his anger seriously for a second. suddenly her attention was turned to the halls as she heard multiple footsteps trail past. the alarm must've been fixed.
she turned back to baguko's angry face with a smile before patting his cheek, the boy slapping her hand away instantly as his face morphed to one of confusion. he was glad that he was more angry than anything else he would've let himself feel flustered.
"nice chat baguko, but class awaits" she said as she slid out from underneath the arm that had her trapped in between the wall and his body and leaving the room.
baguko only stared at the spot the girl had just stood and shook himself out of the small trance he was just in before muttering curse words about the girl on his way out. but the main thought that clouded his mind was. why the hell is umiko watatsumi so annoying?

after returning back to class, midoryia had handed over his role to iida. but it was obvious momo was quite upset by the fact that she hadn't been chosen considering she had gotten more votes anyway. the girl could only comfort her bestfriend with an arm around her shoulder as they stood outside.
they were told by aizawa to get dressed into their hero costumes considering they'd be doing their training at some place special. she could feel the cold breeze brush against her exposed legs as they waited for the bus that would be transporting them.
"gather round class 1-a! using your student numbers, form two neat lines so we can load the bus efficiently" iida said as he blew his whistle multiple times.
umiko scoffed as she walked up to the boy and pulled the whistle out from in-between his lips, getting annoyed at the sound. she waited as the doors opened before rushing forward to enter, her frown turned into a grin once seeing the layout.
iida's plans would have to wait as she ran to some seats behind the bars laying on her back taking up both of them. she knew for a fact she'd end up getting a scolding from iida, but it was an opportunity she wouldn't miss.
