𝐉𝐄𝐍𝐍𝐀 sat on her bed, reading the latest issue of vogue magazine, as Lionel Richie's All Night Long (All Night) played on a low volume, when the phone began to ring. Setting the magazine down, she reached over and picked the phone up off the reciever and put it up to her ear.

"Romero residence, Jenna speaking." Jenna said

"Hey amour." Jimmy said on the other line.

Jenna smiled brightly as she twirled the cord through her fingers. "Hey you, how's it going? By the way, how was karate practice?"

"Well, I'm alright and I kicked Tommy's ass left and right, which was funny as hell to watch." Jimmy said. "How are you?"

"I'm going good, just reading a magazine." Jenna said

"Y'know, I realized, we never had our second date, so are you free tonight?" Jimmy asked

"Yes. There's a great restaurant called El Coyote. Nicki, Ali, and I have been a couple of times when we have our weekly sleepovers. You wanna go?" Jenna asked

"If that's where you want to go, that's where i'll take you. I'll be there at 6 to get you, would that work?" Jimmy asked

"That sounds like a plan to me." Jenna smiled

"See you tonight then?" Jimmy smiled on the other line

"See you tonight."

Jenna stood in front of her closet and search for an outfit to wear on her date with Jimmy. After deciding on a sleeveless sundress which tied around the neck since it was still warm outside, she put on the dress, then put on her necklace from Ali, as well as hoop earrings from Nicki

After applying her makeup, and pulling her long brunette hair into a half ponytail, Jenna took in her appearance, before walking out of her room and into the living room, where norma sat in the reclining chair reading her book, while Dylan and Andrew sat on the couch working on their homework.

"You look beautiful honey." Norma smiled as she closed her book and set it on the end table next to the recliner

Jenna smiled as she checked her lipgloss in the mirror, then turned to her mother. "Thanks mom."

"Where you off to?" Dylan asked

"I have a date with Jimmy tonight." Jenna said as she placed her lipgloss in her small bag. "We're going to El Coyote."

A knock was heard at the door, and Jenna smiled as she opened the door to Jimmy in his jeans, a nice button up shirt, and his light blue leather jacket, she suddenly felt over dressed. "Hi." she smiled brightly at him

"Hey amour." Jimmy smiled. "You look beautiful."

Jenna smiled as she opened the door further, "Thank you. Please, come in." she stepped aside to let him walk past her

"Thank you." Jimmy smiled, then turned to his side as he saw Norma, Dylan, and Andrew walk into the foyer. "Hi Mrs. Romero."

"Hi honey. Welcome back to our home." Norma smiled

"Hey man. You must be Jimmy. We've seen you and the guys around at the parties, but we're always with our friends, so we've never gotten the chance to introduce ourselves. I'm Dylan." Dylan smiled as he extended his hand for a handshake

"Hey Jimmy. I'm Andrew, but you can call me Drew, all my friends do." Andrew smiled, as he extended his hand for a handshake

"Hey you two. Yes, I've seen you both around at a few of the parties as well, but I've never had a chance to talk to you. It's nice to officially meet both." Jimmy said

"You too man." Andrew said

"You too." Dylan said, then turned to his sister. "Have a good time."

"We will." Jenna smiled then embraced her mother. "Bye mom."

"Bye sweetheart." Norma smiled as she embraced her daughter then whispered, "Don't worry about your father."

"Bye guys." Jimmy smiled as he opened the door

Jenna smiled as she closed the door behind them, and the two walked down the walkway, hand-in-hand. "Well you survived meeting my brothers, and they didn't say anything ridiculous."

Jimmy laughed in reply, "They're pretty cool. I've seen them with Eddie and Brian at all the parties."

Jenna smiled as the two reached his car. "Yeah, Nic, Susan, and Barbara tell me all about it, but that's the last thing I want to see is my brothers flirting with random chicks, then hooking up with them."

Jimmy laughed in reply as he opened the car door for her. As the brunette sat down, he closed the door, winking at her as he did so, and she put on her seatbelt. He got in the driver's seat, then put on his seatbelt, and turned on the ignition and drove away.

"Would you like to listen to the radio?" Jimmy asked

"If you want to, that's fine with me." Jenna sweetly smiled

Jimmy nodded and turned on the radio, as REO Speedwagon's Can't Fight This Feeling played. The two suddenly felt a little awkward, since it was a love song. Yes, Jimmy had deep feelings for her, more than the friendship boundary, and she had deep feelings for him, but neither one had confessed their feelings yet.

"Sorry, I can change the station." Jimmy said.

"No, it's okay." jenna said as she laced her hand with his.

Jimmy laced his fingers with her's, and held it, then looked back toward the road and continued driving toward the restaurant.

Upon arriving at El Coyote, Jimmy put the car in park, got out and walked to the passenger seat and opened the door for Jenna. The two walked into the restaurant hand-in-hand, where they were greeted by the waitress, who knew Jenna, Nicki, and Ali by name as they come to the restaurant so often. "Hey Jen! It's good to see you."

"Hey Maria." Jenna smiled as she held Jimmy's hand. "By the way, this is Jimmy, and Jimmy this is Maria. She's of friend of Nicki, Ali, and I."

Maria smiled as she extended her hand for a handshake, which Jimmy shook. "It's great to meet you Jimmy and welcome."

"Thanks, it's great to meet you as well." Jimmy said

Maria reached for two menus, and led the two of them to their table, and Jimmy pulled a chair out for Jenna, who smiled graciously at him. "Thank you." she said

"So, the usual to drink for you Jenna?" Maria asked

"Yes please." Jenna smiled as she opened her menu.

Maria turned to Jimmy and questioned, "And for you?"

"I'll take a coke please." Jimmy said

"I'll have those right out for you." Maria said

Jimmy smiled at the brunette in front of him and opened the menu. "I have no idea what to get."

"Well, the Enchilada Howard, which was named after their first regular, is to die for. I also get a side of blue corn tortillas, but that's just me." Jenna said

Maria brought the drinks to the table and set them in front of the two teens. "What can I get you two?"

"I'll have the usual." Jenna smiled as she gave martina her menu.

"Make that two." Jimmy said, as he clozed his menu.

Maria smiled in reply as she took the menus. "Al right. you've got it. I'll have those right out for you."

"Thanks Maria." Jenna smiled, as Maria walked away. "So tell me, how's training going?"

"Brutal as hell, sensei is really coming down on us hard." Jimmy said as he set his soda glass down. "Especially since Johnny was the champ last year, and the year before that, he wants him to win."

Jenna reached across the table and took his hand in her's and gently reassured, "Hey, it's going to be alright. I've said it before and I'm going to say it again, I think it's your turn to win."

Thirty minutes had passed, and the pair sat in the company of each other, enjoying the food, and soft music playing in the background. As Jenna set her cherry coke glass down, Lionel Richie's Hello began to play.

Jenna smiled as she glanced across the way to find a couple in their late sixties, giving each other the look of admiration and love. "Look how sweet they are." she smiled, and Jimmy reached across the table, and took her hand in his.

As Jenna admired the couple in their late sixties holding hands, and intimately speaking, Jimmy listened to the lyrics of the song. He understood the narrator's point of view, as he has always longed for Jenna

Back at Jenna's Beverly Hills residence, Jimmy walked her to the door as she clutched his hand. "Well." the brunette smiled

"Well." Jimmu smiled as he stood in front of the brunette, and wrapped his arms around her waist

"I had a nice time." Jenna smiled

"I did too." Jimmy said. There was a moment of comfortable silence, until he broke it. "Jenna, I've had feelings for you since you poured your cherry coke down my shirt. I've been too afraid to ask you until now, and I know I should have."

"Asked me what?" Jenna questioned, softly caressing his cheek

"Will you be my girl? I promise you jenna, I'll treat you the way you deserve." Jimmy said

How could she resist? He's everything she's ever wanted in a guy: kind, gentle, and strong. Not to mention, the way he looks at her, it's as if she's the only girl in the world, because to him, she is. "oh Jimmy, of course I will. what took you so long?" Jenna smiled

Jenna wrapped her arms around his neck, and pressed a soft kiss against his lips. Jimmy wrapped his arms around her slender waist, and returned the kiss. after pulling away, he unlocked the door for her, then Jenna walked inside, and smiled at her as she closed the door.

"So how was it?" Norma asked as Jenna closed the door

Jenna turned around and smiled at her mother, who was sitting on the couch of the foyer. "It was great. I have a boyfriend now." she smiled

"I'm so happy for you sweetheart." Norma smiled as she embraced her daughter.

"Thanks mom." Jenna smiled

"So, how was the date?" Norma asked as she and Jenna sat on the couch.

"Well, we went to el coyote and had a nice dinner and talked for what seemed like hours, even though it wasn't. It was as if we were the only two people in the universe." Jenna smiled

"You are definitely feeling something for this young man." Norma smiled. "I like him. You need to bring him around more often."

"Yeah. Well anyway, I'm gonna go to bed. I love you mom." Jenna said as she embraced her mother.

"I love you too honey." Norma smiled. "Good night sweetheart."

"Good night."

"Oh my gosh! I can't believe it!" Ali happily said on the other end and Nicki was on the party line. "How was the kiss?!" Nicki asked

"It was amazing." Jenna said as she brushed her damp brunette hair with one hand, and held the phone in the other

"It's about time you two got together." Ali smirked on the other line

Jenna sighed as she sat on the bed. "You should have heard my dad. He told me he doesn't trust Jimmy, and that he's a no good street punk." 

"Just give your dad some time. He'll come around." Ali reassured

"That's what mom said. Anyway, I gotta go. I'll see you tomorrow, okay?" Jenna said

"Okay. see you tomorrow." Ali said.

"See you in the morning. We're so happy for you hon. this has been a long time coming." Nicki smiled

"Thanks hon." Jenna said. "See you tomorrow."

"See you tomorrow." Ali said.

"See you tomorrow. Good night." Nicki smiled

"Good night."
