𝐉𝐄𝐍𝐍𝐀 woke up at at 9:30 to the ringing of her radio alarm. Today was the last day of summer, and tomorrow was the first last day of school. After turning off her alarm, she got out of bed, turned on mtv, walked to the ensuite bathroom and began her morning routine.

After she was finished with her morning routine, she walked back to her bedroom to pick out her swimsuit. she decided on a light pink one piece, then grabbed her beach bag and packed it with essentials: sunscreen, beach towels and sunglasses. after placing her beach hat on her head, Jenna turned off her tv and walked out the door.

Downstairs, her parents and her brothers were sitting at the table eating breakfast and drinking coffee. Jenna strolled into the kitchen and greeted them with a beautiful smile on her face. "Morning." she smiled as she kissed her father's cheek, as well as her mother's, then ruffled her brothers' hair. 

"Good morning sweetheart." Norma smiled. "Want some breakfast?"

Alex smiled as he set the newspaper down. "Morning sweetheart. Where are you off to today? You spending the day with Ali and Nicki?"

Jenna smiled as she poured herself a glass of orange juice then replied, "No thanks mom, I'm alright, and to answer your question dad, it's the annual end of summer beach party. I'm meeting Nicki, Ali, and the girls there."

"Well, just be safe and have fun." Alex said as he sipped his coffee

"I will dad." Jenna said as she sipped her juice then turned to her brothers. "Are you two coming?"

"We would but we're meeting the boys at the beach in malibu." Dylan said. "You'll have to let us know how this party turns out."

"So, I heard from a little bird you had a date last night." Andrew smirked

Jenna furrowed her brows. "What are you talking about? I didn't have a date. Jimmy bought me a cherry coke at Golf N' Stuff. I swear, you and Dylan are worse than the girls."

"Sounds like a date to me." Norma chuckled as she sipped her coffee

Jenna blushed, "Ma."

"Look at her blushing." Andrew laughed

"Well, I gotta get going. I'll see you guys tonight." Jenna said as she embraced her parents and her brothers

"We love you too, honey." Norma said

"Please be safe." Alex said, embracing his daughter

"I will daddy." Jenna smiled

"Have fun." Dylan said

"I will, and you both have fun too." Jenna smiled as she grabbed her beach bag and her car keys, and walked out the door. She started her car, and the radio played Bryan Adams's Summer of '69 played

On the beach, Jenna, Nicki, Ali, Susan, and Barbara sat down in the sand watching the waves and listening to Ali's radio, when Susan suggested, "Jen, you should try out for the cheer team tomorrow. I know you've played soccer for the past three years, but how about something different?"

"I don't know, you know I love being on the soccer team." Jenna said

"You're amazing at soccer, but this will give you a chance to try something different." Ali said.

"Yeah, and this will give Jimmu a chance to see your legs and your ass." Nicki teased.

Jenna shook her head and rolled her eyes. "Are you done?" 

"So, I heard from Dutch that Jimmy bought you a cherry coke." Barbara said and Jenna's face turned beet red

"Yeah, he did." Jenna blushed

Susan leaned over Barbara, and said to Jenna, "For fuck's sake, Jen. I'm so tired of this back and forth game between the two of you. When are you two gonna just fuck?"

Jenna threw a flip flop at Susan, and the girls laughed. "As much as I would love to sleep with him, I'm not gonna do that, I'm not that kind of girl." she said

Ali laughed as she adjusted the volume on her radio. "Oh please! We know you better than you know yourself. You are all that boy talks about, and as of late, he's all you talk about."

"Are you four done?" Jenna asked, as her face was now five shades of red and the girls laughed

As the five girls were chatting and listening to Ali's radio, a tall, tan skinned boy, with beautiful brown eyes and his friends from Reseda, who were playing soccer, ran past the girls kicking the ball, causing sand to get on the girls.

Jenna, Nicki, and Ali were watching them, when they heard one them call his name Daniel, but he ignored them. Daniel and Ali's eyes locked and the two stared at each other. The ball was kicked away, leaving Daniel to stare at Ali, who smiled up at him and her eyes twinkled.

The ball came out of nowhere and landed in Ali's lap. she threw the ball to Daniel, who started juggling the ball with his knees, she was duly impressed.

Susan and Barbara left to go swimming, leaving the three best friends to watch Daniel. One of the boys kicked the ball away from him and took off. Ali turned to her best friends. "Wanna go swimming?"

"You don't have to ask me twice!" Nicki smiled

"I thought you would never ask!" Jenna laughed

As Jenna, Nicki, and Ali stood up, Daniel and Ali locked eyes again, but he smiled and awkwardly waved at her. The blonde smiled and waved back as she and her best friends walked towards the ocean, then looked over her shoulder one last time at Daniel.

"Someone has a crush." Jenna teased

Ali blushed a bright red and Jenna and Nicki turned to look and saw Daniel watching after their best friend in a dazed state before running back to his friends. After hours of swimming, the sun had set, and the fog had started to roll in. The girls put their clothes on over their bathing suits. They also had their own campfires going to keep them warm, while listening to Ali's radio.

While Susan and Barbara were chatting and roasting marshmallows over the fire, Ali kept exchanging glances with Daniel. Jenna, Nicki, and Ali were having a conversation of their own, but she was mainly focused on Daniel.

"You should go talk to him." Nicki suggested

"I don't know, what if he doesn't like me back?" Ali asked, rather unsure. "What if he's like he's like Johnny?"

Jenna and Nicki glanced at the boy their best friend had been admiring, and saw he was admiring her in return. Giving the blonde a warm smile, Jenna softly reassured, "Nah, I don't think so. He seems to be really sweet. You never know unless you take a chance."

The blonde considered it, but it looked like Daniel's friends had the same idea. One of the boys kicked the soccer ball over to them and knocked Ali's radio over. "Well, here's your chance." Jenna chuckled, giving her best friend the soccer ball.

Ali grabbed the ball and glanced at Jenna and Nicki. "Come with me?"

Jenna and Nicki gave their best friend a smile and a nod. Ali, with the soccer ball in her hand, and Jenna and Nicki walked to Daniel as he walked to them. "Hey did you lose something?" Ali asked with a bright smile

"Yeah, I hope we're not bothering you." Daniel said

"Hey, how do you um, how do you juggle?" Ali asked as she tried to juggle the soccer ball

"Oh, it's pretty easy. I start with my knee." Daniel said as he juggled the soccer ball and Ali, Jenna, and Nicki watched him. "You just go one...one at a time. One. And then you try two. One, two."

Daniel handed ali the soccer ball. "You guys try. Three, four."

"Four." Ali laughed, making Jenna and Nicki laugh as well.

"Try it. Just bring your leg up." Daniel said. Ali brought her leg up to juggle, Jenna and Nicki smiled as Ali gave the soccer ball to Jenna, and she juggled it as well, then Jenna gave the soccer ball to Nicki, who gave the soccer ball to her. "Good!" Daniel praised

Jenna didn't realize the beach party was about to take a nasty turn, and a certain cobra was about to strike, but things were about to change. Forever.

Overlapping shouts were heard as the Cobra Kais parked their bikes on the hill, while Ali and Daniel continued flirting with each other on the beach. The boys were laughing and cheering as they were talking about their karate practice. They all wore matching leather jackets, with snake patches on it, and drove motorcycles.

"All right!" Tommy and Bobby shouted excitedly

"That was awesome." Johnny happily shouted

"Brew time, man! Who's for a warm one? Here you go." Tommy said as he offered a beer to Johnny

"No, I pass man." Johnny said declining the beer

Tommy offered Bobby a beer. "Hey, Bobby?"

"No, thanks pal." Bobby said as he declined the beer

"Johnny, who you kidding? You're still the ace degenerate." Tommy said as he gave the beer to Dutch and handed one to Jimmy

"No, ex-degenerate man. 8am tomorrow, I'm a senior, I got one year to make it all work, and that's what i'm gonna do." Johnny said. "Make it work, all of it, right?" he added while facing Bobby

"That's right man." Bobby said as he and Johnny slapped a supportive five

"Hey, you must be a trendsetter Johnny, looks like everyone's doing something new." Tommy said as he looked toward the beach and saw Ali and Daniel with each other.

Johnny turned to face Tommy, while still grinning widely. "What?"

"Take a right, check it out." Tommy said

Johnny and the Cobra Kais saw Ali and Daniel juggling the ball, and saw her trip, which caused them both to fall, and laughing in the sand, which ignited pure jealousy in Johnnh

Jimmy saw Jenna laughing with Nicki while they watched Ali and Daniel, and it made his heart flutter. the only thing on his mind, was getting down to the beach to talk to her.

"Hey Johnny, forget it man. It's ancient history." Bobby said trying to keep Johnny from doing something stupid

"Who told you man?" Johnny snapped angrily.

"Johnny!" Bobby warned as Johnny put his helmet on

"Hey man, I thought they broke up?" Jimmy said, as he kept looking at Jenna

"She did, he didn't." Tommy said.

While Ali and Daniel were still flirting and juggling with the ball, she, Jenna, and Nicki heard revving up the hill. Ali, with the soccer ball in her hand turned her head to see motorbikes of the cobra kais. 

"Watch this." Ali said as she kicked the ball away.

"I'll get it." Daniel said as he went to grab the soccer ball

The girls walked back to sit with Susan and Barbara as the Cobra Kais parked their bikes on the beach spraying sand everywhere, even getting some in Jenna's cherry coke. Susan stood up and walked to Tommy, while Jenna, Nicki, Ali, and Barbara remained seated in the sand.

"Hey Ali, I wanna talk to you." Johnny said as he sat down in front of Ali.

Ali rolled her eyes as she scooted close to Jenna and retorted angrily. "Oh, just leave me alone. We've been over all this all right, I don't want to talk."

Johnny was starting to get annoyed and he shut off Ali's radio. "Well, I wanna talk to you all right?" he said. Ali reached over and turned it back on. "What is your problem?" he asked as he reached over and turned the radio off again

Ali grabbed her radio then stood up. "Look, why don't you just take your little Cobra Kais and get out of here, all right?"

"Oh yeah right and that's gonna solve everything." Johnny said as he aggressively grabbed the radio from Ali's hand

Jenna took the opportunity to stand up and walk over to Jimmy, and she gave him a warm smile. that smile was enough to make him weak in the knees. "Hey amour." Jimmy smiled as he pulled her in for a tight embrace, and had his face in her hair, which smelt like vanilla and honey.

"Hey Jimny." Jenna smiled as she pulled away from the embrace. "How was karate practice?"

"Brutal, but I kicked Dutch's ass." Jimmy laughed

"Good for you. By the way, one of you got sand in my cherry coke, and you owe me a cherry coke." Jenna said

"You've got it." Jimmy smiled

Ali huffed with irritation. "Give me my radio." she tried to grab it, but Johnny dodged her grasp. "No." Johnny hissed, gripping the radio. "I said give me my radio!" Ali said, growing more and more irritated

"You promise you'll talk to me?" Johnny asked. "Yes, just give me my radio." Ali said. "You promise?" Johnny said. "Yes, just give me my radio, yes." Ali said.

Ali snatched the radio from Johnny's hand, glared at him, and turned it back on, making him get even angrier. He snatched the radio out of her hand and slammed it on the ground, causing it to break.

"You just broke my radio!" Ali spat, shoving Johnny back

"Yeah." Johnnt answered smugly.

Jenna, out of instinct, stood next to Jimmy. Daniel came to pick up the radio to give it to Ali. "Don't touch it punk!" Johnny shouted at Daniel, but he ignored the blonde, and picked up the radio anyway. "What-what are you deaf?" he shouted at Daniel while angrily snatching the radio from him

"What's going on?" Daniel questioned

"C'mon on Johnny, just give the radio back to Ali and quit being an asshole." Jenna said, but Jimmy held her hand to keep her calm

"You want it? You got it!" Johnny said as he shoved Ali's broken radio into Daniel's chest and pushed him into the sand

"All right!" the Cobra Kais cheered

Johnny pushed Ali into Tommy, then pushed Nicki into Dutch, and Jimmy grabbed Jenna and held on to her waist, and Johnny got prepared as Daniel got into fighting stance.

"Johnny, stop it will you?! Leave him! Stop it!" Ali angrily spat

"Stop it!" Jenna spat as she tried to get out of Jimmy's grip

"Leave him alone!" Nicki spat

"Stop it!" Ali screamed at Johnny again

Johnny looked at the girls with a cocky smirk. "I didn't do anything!"

"Well he didn't do anything either!" Ali spat, as Johnny taunted Daniel, kick him again, then knocked him to the ground. "Oh, you're a big man now, huh?" Ali retorted then Johnny snapped his head over to her

"Look, you started this! All I wanted to do was talk to you!" Johnny snapped angrily

"Then just leave him alone and we'll go talk." Ali pleaded. "C'mon Johnny!"

"Yeah, where did I hear that before?" Johnny spat, then walked to Daniel who was slumped over. "How about you, hero? You had enough?"

Daniel sucker punched Johnny in the nose and stood up, only for Jenna, Nicki, and Ali to turn their heads away. "Okay, okay, man. Now we're even, huh." Daniel said.

"No mercy, man. No mercy." Johnny said

"No mercy!" the Cobra Kais repeated

Johnnt kicked Daniel in the stomach and jab punched him in the face. Ali was furious, screaming and red in the face. "Let go of me!" Ali screamed

Ali grabbed Johnny by the jacket and punched him in the chest. "Why don't you hit me, huh?! You think you're gonna make me feel better, huh?!"

"It's your fault!" Johnny spat

"It's not my fault!" Ali spat

"It's your fault!" Johnny spat

"Everything is your fault! Why do you have to always fight, huh?!" Ali spat

"Bullshit." Johnny snapped

"Jimmy, you can let me go now." Jenna said

"Oh yeah, sorry." Jimmy said

"Get on your bikes guys." Johnny said

"I'll see you tomorrow, amour." Jimmy said

"See you tomorrow." Jenna smiled

Nicki walked up to Jenna and the girls looked at the fallen boy lying on the ground, coughing and spitting out sand, and Ali slowly approached him and kneeled next to him. "Hey, are you okay?" Ali asked

"Just leave me alone." Daniel said

"Uh, just...I'll help you...." Ali said

"No, just leave me alone. I'm okay." Daniel said. "Just leave me alone."

Jenna and Nicki placed their hands on Ali's shoulders, and Jenna then spoke. "C'mon on Ali, let's go. C'mon on its best if we leave him alone."

Ali looked at her best friend, nodded and rose to her feet. As Jenna and Nicki wrapped their arms around the blonde's shoulder, the Cobra Kais started their motorbikes.

"C'mon. C'mon Ali, let's go." Nicki said as she and Jenna led the blonde away. At that same time, the Cobra Kais rode off, completely destroying Ali's radio in the process

Upon walking into the Beverly Hills residence, Jenna closed the door behind her, and set her beach bag in the chair in the foyer. Alex and Norma sat in the living room. Alex read the news paper, while Norma read her book. "Hey you two." Jenna smiled as she strolled into the living room. "Dylan and Andrew still at the party?"

Alex glanced up from his newspaper and smiled at his daughter, while Norma glanced up from her book. "Hi sweetheart." Alex smiled. "Your brothers just got home not too long ago."

"Hi honey." Norma smiled as her daughter sat next to her. "How was the party? Did you have a good time?" she asked as alex set the newspaper on the coffee table

"It was good. Ali met this new kid named Daniel. He showed us how to juggle the soccer ball on her knee, mainly her. Nicki and I didn't want to tell him we already knew how." Jenna said

"So, did anything happen between them?" Alex asked

"Nope." Jenna said. "But, maybe something will happen tomorrow. Anyway, I'm gonna head on up to bed. I love you guys." she said as she embraced her parents

"Love you too, sweetheart." Norma smiled as she kissed her daughter's forehead

"Love you too honey." Alex smiled as he kissed his daughter's head

"Hey, how was the party?" Dylan asked as Jenna reached the top of the stairs. "Yeah, we heard Johnny and the gang crashed." Andrew added

"Come here." Jenna said as she and her brothers walked into her room.

"What happened?" Dylan asked as he closed the door and both he and Andrew sat on the couch in Jenna's room

Jenna sat on the bed and sighed, "First of all, how was your party?" she asked

"It was fine. Brian brought this liquor from Mexico, and Eddie got so hammered he puked twice." Andrew laughed

Dylan gave his brother a high five, and laughed, then turned to his sister. "You should have been there Jen. It was fucking hilarious."

Jenna scoffed and rolled her eyes. "Gues are stupid dipshits. I swear you two have the I.Q. of a fucking peanut."

"I suppose your beach party was better, diva?" Andrew asked

"Well, Ali met this new kid named Daniel who showed us how to juggle the soccer ball on her knees, but it was mainly her. I didn't want to tell the kid I already knew how." Jenna said

"Anything happen between them?" Dylan asked 

"Nope. Johnny and the guys came down and crashed the party, and blondie broke Ali's radio." Jenna said. "But there's always tomorrow"

"Don't bet on it." Dylan said

Jenna raised her brow and folded her arms over chest. "Excuse me?"

"Well, if johnny has anything to say about it, the poor kid won't have anything to do with Ali." Dylan said.

"That's true. Well, I'm glad you two had fun at your beach party, but I'm tired and ready for bed. I'll see you both in the morning." Jenna said as she embraced her brothers.

"Goodnight sis."Dylan said as he and Andrew returned their sister's embrace. "We love you." Andrew said

"Love you too."
