𝐈𝐓'𝐒 prom night for the students of West Valley High School. Some couples have broken up but are going to prom anyway, some couples' relationships are on the rocks but are going to prom anyway. Since it was also still spring, Jenna, Nicki, Ali, and Jimmu also received their acceptance letters to UCLA and were accepted.

Norma and Claire took Jenna, Nicki, and Ali to wild orchid salon, a reputable hair salon in the Be erly Hills area. Jenna had a fishtail braided low bun, a few strands that hung loose around her face, and those pieces were loosely curled. Nicki had a braided updo, with a few strands which hung loose around her face, and Ali a braided headband, with curls, while Norma got her brunette color touched up, and Claire sat in the chair next to her granddaughter.

"So tell us about the romantic proposal from this handsome man of your's." the hairstylist named Janette said as she worked on Jenna's hair. "From what we have heard from your mother and grandmother, he's a real sweetheart."

Jenna softly chuckled as she sipped her cherry infused water. "Well, let's start from the very beginning shall we? Nic, Ali and I went to a showing of Rocky 3 two years ago, and sitting behind us, we're these five boys, and among them, was my Jimmy. Dutch, their idiot friend was throwing milk duds at us."

"Ali got so upset that she stood up and dumped our popcorn all over Dutch and got melted butter all over him." Nicki laughed as the hair stylist added a curl to her hair

"Jimmy and Bobby egged him on so I poured my cherry coke down Jimmy's shirt. Two years later, Jimmy and I started and he knows I've been an Elvis fan all my life, so he surprised me with a trip to Graceland. After we were done with the walk through, he proposed to me in front of Graceland." Jenna smiled

"If you ask me, I think it's the sweetest thing." Norma smiled as a hairstylist added curls to her brunette hair

"I know I made the right decision by saying yes, but people are going to say we're too young." Jenna said.

"Jen, you can't listen to what people say. You love Jimmy, and he loves you." Ali said 

Claire, who sat next to Jenna, smiled as she spoke. "Love. That's a very important factor in any marriage my darling. I can tell you about love." as Claire began to tell her story, the women in the salon, listened, including Jenna. "Lorenzo... that's my husband's name. We had a love so strong, that it just seemed like we were one. I would get ready to tell him something, and before I even had the chance to tell him, he would say the very thing I was going to tell him.

Jenna gave a watery smile as the older woman told her story. It reminded her so much of Alex and Norma. She had heard a lot about her grandpa Lorenzo, but he passed away before the children were born.

"Do you ladies have any idea how frustrating that was sometimes? Oh I couldn't stand it. Then my favorite moments were those times when I would just lay my head on his chest, just to listen to his heartbeat. One night, I realized that his heartbeat, matched mine." Claire smiled, then it quickly faded. "Rhythm's off now that he's gone."

Jenna reached over and laced her hand with her grandmother's. "I'm so sorry, Grandma. I know you loved him with all of your heart and soul."

Nicki and Ali reached over to place their hands on Claire's shoulders. "I'm so sorry claire." Nicki said.

Claire gave Jenna and her best friends a heartwarming smile, "Don't you fret for me my darlings. I have had the opportunity that few people ever get on this earth. God blessed me to share time and space with a man that he designed himself just for me. I've not only been blessed, I have been divinely favored."

"Love is many things. It's varied, but one thing it is not, and can and never will be, is unsure." Norma said

After the hair stylists were paid and tipped, Jenna, Ali, and Nicki went to the nail salon for mani-pedis. Jenna chose a blush color, Nicki chose a nude color, while Ali chose a light pink color.

"How are you and Daniel?" Jenna asked as the nail tech worked on her nails. "What's going on?"

"Honestly, I don't know." Ali said as the nail tech worked on her nails. "It's like he's been so different since the tournament."

"Maybe this is just a bump in the road for you guys. I'm sure everything will be okay." Nicki said

"Maybe." Ali said

After their mani-pedis, the girls went to lunch, then Jenna took the girls home. After dropping her best friends off, Jenna pulled into the drive way, parked her mercedes, and walked inside.

Jenna walked into the bathroom to begin her makeup, as she settled on a subtle eye looks blush and mascara. after putting her things away in the drawer, she heard the front door open. "Amour?" Jimmy called

Jenna walked out of the bathroom and into the living room and greeted her fiancé with a kiss and an embrace. "Hi honey."

Jimmy gave her a look full of adoration and love. "You look gorgeous sweetheart."

"Thank you." Jenna smiled. "Bu the way, how was suit shopping with your dad? Did you find anything?"

Jimmy smiled and nodded in reply. "I remember you said your dress was gray, so I chose a gray vest, so it would match the dress. That is what you go with right?" he asked

Jenna smiled and nodded in reply. In the bedroom, the couple dressed for prom. Jenna's dress was a sleeveless gray sequin dress made of silk, and decorated with seed beads throughout the garment. Sitched to the waist was a purple silk sash belt.

"You look beautiful, amour." Jimmy smiled

Jenna turned around to find him wearing his suit and to her, he was the most handsome guy she had ever seen. His suit was black, but his vest was gray, to match her dress. His hair was combed neatly and he smelt amazing. Her guy truly fills out a suit well.

Jenna smiled as she wrapped her arms around his neck. "Thank you sweetheart, you look damn good in your suit." she said as she kissed his chin.

Jimmy smiled as he wrapped his arms around her waist. "Before I forget." he said as he pulled out the corsage, which was a white rose, and slipped it on Jenna's dainty wrist. "I would have picked the pink, as I know it's your favorite, but mom said the two colors would clash.

Jenna smiled then replied, "I love all colors of roses. It's beautiful honey." she smiled, then placed the white rose boutonnière on his suit. "Are you ready?"

Jimmy smiled as he led her out the door. Outside, he grabbed her wrist and dipped her for a kiss. He's never done that before, but like how it looked in the movies. Jenna was flushed, but she liked it and she liked it a lot.

"Whoa. That was hot, and I thought I saw all your best moves all the times we've had sex." Jenna said

"You ain't seen nothing yet sweetheart. Just wait till tonight after prom. I got some more moves to show you." Jimmy said, giving her a saucy wink.

This made Jenna blush from head to toe. "I'm looking forward to it." Jenna said as she gave him a wink. "We better go, before I change my mind, and decide to skip prom."

The prom was in full swing when the couple arrived, fashionably late of course. As Jimmy and Dylan stood talking with the guys, Jenna and Nicki stood with Ali, who was visblibly upset when she and Daniel entered the gym.

"Ali, what happened?" Jenna asked

Before anything else could be said, Jenna felt a tap on her shoulder. Turning around, she saw Jimmy standing next to her. "May I have this dance?" Jimmy asked with his hand held out as Cyndi Lauper's Time After Time began to play.

Jenna turned to Ali who smiled at her. "Go ahead. we'll talk later." the blonde smiled as she embraced her best friend

"Of course." Jenna smiled as she walked with jimmy to the dance floor. As Jenna and Jimmy began to dance, and Nicki and Dylan began to dance, Jenna glanced across the way, to see the guys dancing with their dates.

"You look so beautiful tonight, amour." Jimmy smiled as he rested his forehead against Jenna's

"Thank you sweetheart. You're the most handsome guy here." Jenna smiled. "In fact, you're the only handsome guy here."

"Well, you're the only beautiful girl here." Jimmu said, as he pressed a kiss onto her forehead. "I love you."

"I love you more." Jenna smiled

As the night wore on, the prom king and queen were announced. The queen was a girl from student council and the king was a guy from the debate team.

"You know, you're my queen. I'm loyal to only you. I love you and wherever you go I'll go. I'll honor, respect you and protect you...always." Jimmy said

Jenna put her head on his chest. "Stop it. You're so romantic. I can't even stand it. But you're my king and my other half. I love you, Jimmy. I'll always be loyal to you. Always." she smiled as she kissed his chin

"I love you more, amour." Jimmy said as she wrapped her arms around his neck and he wrapped his arms around her waist.

"Hey you two." Nicki smiled as she walked up to the couple, Dylan at her side. "So, word is there's an after party in the hills, you guys coming?"

Before anything else could be said, the four heard shouting outside. They looked out the window of the door and saw Ali and Daniel screaming at one another.

"What the hell?" Dylan asked

"Daniel had a pissed off look on his face when prom started." Jenna said. "At the nail salon, Ali did say that their relationship was on the rocks.

"Hey Jen, Nic, Dyl." Ali said, tapping her best friends on the shoulders

Jenna and Nicki turned around and gave their best friend a soft smile. "Yeah?"

"I'm going to head out early but I'll call you girls tomorrow, okay?" Ali said

"Ali, are you all right?" Jenna asked

Ali smiled softly and nodded. "Yeah, I'm fine."

"Would you like us to drive you?" Jimmy asked

"A friend of mine from UCLA offered to drive me." Ali said softly. "But thank you anyway. Jen, Nic, would you like to take a couple of pictures before I leave?"

"If course." Jenna smiled, then turned to Jimmy. "I'll be back, honey."

After the two girls took a couple of pictures, they bid each other goodbye, and Ali gave Jimmy a cordial smile, then walked out of the the gym. A little later, Jenna and Jimmy took pictures with their friends, some funny, some serious, some with just the guys, then a couple with just the two of them. there was an after party up in the hills, but Jenna and Jimmy were going back to the beach house. But there was one place they, along with Dylan and Nicki had to go first.

The couple drove to Ali's, and saw that her parents weren't home. They walked up the steps, and Jenna rang the doorbell twice, until Ali answered it, her eyes were red from crying.

"Come here." Jenna said, as she and Nicki held their arms out and walked into Ali's home followed by Jimmy and Dylan

Jenna and Nicki maneuvered the three of them over to the couch in the living room, as Jimmy and Dylan closed the door.

"What happened honey?" Nicki asked as ali had calmed down as she wiped Ali's tears with the tissue

"Well, I ran into a guy that I know who goes to UCLA at prom. He was a date for one of the girls there. Daniel saw me talking to him and began jumping to conclusions that I was cheating on him." Ali said

"Ali, we know that's not true." Jenna reassured

"I didn't crash Mr. Miyagi's car either. I told him that the brakes on the car were going to go." Ali said

"We know you didn't crash his car. Is there anything you need, you want us to stay?" Nicki asked

"Thanks, but, I think I need to be alone." Ali smiled softly

"Okay." Jenna smiled softly then she and Nicki embraced their best friend. "If you need us, please call us."

"I promise." Ali said

"Ali, I just wanted to say that I'm sorry for everything that happened in the past." Jimmy said.

"Hey, it's okay. I'm sorry as well. I never had a problem with you or Bobby." Ali smiled. "If you would you would like, since you are going to marry my sister here, maybe we could be friends as well?"

"I'd like that as well." Jimmy smiled

After bidding Ali goodbye and goodnight, the four left the home, and walked down the walk way and bid each other goodbye and got in their cars.

"Did you and one my best friends just become friends?" Jenna asked as she and Jimmy closed the door to the mercedes

"Hey, I thought I was your best friend?" Jimmy said as he started the mercedes

Jenna rolled her eyes and laughed. "Honey, Nicki and Ali are my best friends and my sisters. You are my boyfriend and the love of my life, therefore you are my forever best friend. Make sense?"

Jimmy chuckled in reply. "Yes, it does. I love you."

"I love you more."

After a steamy shower session with Jimmy, Jenna walked out of the bathroom rubbing lotion on her arms, while he sat up in the bed waiting for her. "That was fun tonight." Jimmy said as Jenna turned off the lamp and laid down beside him

"Yeah." Jenna said as the couple laid down and he pulled her petite frame close to his strong body. "When we graduate, I know we'll see Nic and Ali because obviously we'll be going to the same university as them, but I just can't help but think about something."

"What is it amour?" Jimmy asked. "What's going through that beautiful head of your's? I don't like it when you worry."

"It's not that I'm worried, it's just..." Jenna sighed then turned over on her side to face him. "I hope we never drift apart from the guys. even though they can get on my last nerve, they're still like my brothers. I can only imagine how special they are to you, especially since you've known them since the eighth grade."

"You don't have to worry about that amour." Jimmy said. "Something tells me they'll be coming around all the time."

"You promise?" Jenna asked

"I promise." Jimmy said.

Jenna kissed his lips, then said, "Goodnight honey. I love you." she smiled as she snuggled into him and slowly drifted off to sleep

"Good night amour. I love you too." Jimmy said as he pulled Jenna': body closer to his, closing his eyes and slowly drifting off to sleep as well.
