𝐎𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐎𝐂𝐂𝐄𝐑 𝐅𝐈𝐄𝐋𝐃, Jenna, Nicki, and Ali played a round of soccer with Daniel. Nicki kicked the soccer ball, to Jenna, who kicked the ball to the soccer ball to Ali, and she kicked it in the goal.

"Hey, not bad." Daniel smiled. "Definitely varsity material."

"Hey, you three let me." Ali laughed  

"Hey, I was gonna call you about trying that slide Friday night." Daniel said. "You up for it?"

"Yeah." Ali said.

"Great, so I'll pick you up by about 7:00?" Daniel asked

"Oh, I'm having dinner with my parents at their country club." Ali said. "But I'll be done by 9:30. Meet me out front."

"Is that cool?" Daniel asked

"Yeah." Ali said

"Hey Johnny. Johnny, over here." Tommy said, and Daniel looked at the Cobras then down at the ground.

"What is it, Daniel?" Jenna asked

"I'm just hearing that little voice again." Daniel said

"Yeah, pretend your deaf." Ali winked. "Encino Oaks country club, 9:30."

Jenna and Nicki smiled and waved as they walked away with the blonde. As the three girls walked to cheer practice, Ali stumbled over the soccer ball that Johnny tried to kick to Dutch. "Hey way to go buttertoes." Dutch said

"Hey amour." Jimmy said

"Hey hon." Jenna smiled

"Hi Ali." Johnny flirted

"Hi Ali." Ali mocked, then linked her arms with Jenna and Nicki's, and the three walked further away until they reached the other cheerleaders, where they practiced their cheer routines.

At the end of the day, Jenna stood at her locker, putting her books in her backpack in which she will need for her homework. She was about to zip up her backpack, when she felt a familiar pair of strong arms wrap around her waist. "Guess who?" Jimmy said

Jenna smiled brightly and turned around in his embrace. "Hey you." she smiled as she kissed his lips, then rested her forehead gently against his. "How's your day been?"

"It's been long but good." Jimmy smiled as he held her close to him. "How about your's?"

"It's been good." Jenna smiled

"So are you still going to the country club on Friday?" Jimmy asked

"Yes." Jenna said. "Are you?"

"Yes." Jimmy said. "My parents have been dying to meet you."

"What if they don't like me?" Jenna said.

"Are you kidding? They'll love you." Jimmy said

"I certainly hope so." Jenna said. "Be careful at karate practice this afternoon. I love you."

"I love you too, amour."

Friday, December 14th, 1984

Jenna sat at her vanity and applied her makeup, getting ready for the annual christmas party at the country club as the soft sound of the radio played. Her makeup was kept natural and her hair was clipped back in a half updo.

After finishing her hair and makeup, Jenna walked to her closet and grabbed her black velvet dress, which was off the shoulder and had a slit, showing one knee, and put it on. After adding her necklace from Ali, and diamond earrings from Norma, she sprayed perfume on her pulse points.

"Jenna, are you ready? We have to go darling." Norma called from down the stairs

"Coming ma." Jenna said, as she grabbed her bag, and turned off the lights

Upon arriving at the country club, Norma and Alex went to find their friends from the sheriff's station, while Mr. and Mrs. Mills went to greet and chat with people they knew, Andrew, Eddie, and Brian flirted with girls from the university and Nicki and Dylan danced on the dance floor.

"I think someone wants you." Ali smiled

Jenna turned her head to find Jimmy and his parents at the entrance. Turning to her best friend, the blonde tightly embraced her, and stood up to find her parents. Jenna stood up, and smoothed the wrinkles from her dress, and walked to the entrance to greet her boyfriend and his parents. "Hi honey." Jenna smiled as she embraced her boyfriend.

"Hey amour." Jimmy smiled, then held the brunette to him, and turned to his parents. "Jenna, I would like you to meet my parents. Mom and dad, this is my girlfriend, Jenna Romero, the sheriff's daughter."

Jenna smiled as she extended her hand for a handshake. "Hi Mr. and Mrs. Lawson. It's a pleasure to meet you both."

Mary smiled as she gently pushed the brunette's hand away, and pulled her in for a warm embrace. "It's nice to meet you Jenna. You are all Jimmy has talked about for the last two years. You're so beautiful, darling."

Jenna smiled as she pulled away from her embrace. "Thank you so much."

Ryan smiled as he extended his hand for a handshake. "It's nice to meet you Jenna."

Jenna smiled as she shook his hand, "You as well Mr. Lawson."

Jenna smiled as she took jimmy by the hand. "C'mon, I want you guys to meet my parents as well, even though I have a feeling you already know them."

Jimmy smiled as he walked with her, while his parents walked together, arms linked. At the table, Jenna smiled as Norma stood up and embraced her daughter, then turned to Jimmy. "Hi sweetheart, you look nice."

"Thank you Mrs. Romero." Jimmy smiled. "Mrs. Romero, I would like you to meet my parents, Mary and Ryan, Mom, dad this is Mrs. Romero."

Mary smiled as she extended her hand for a handshake, but Norma gently pushed it away, and embraced  her. "It's a pleasure to meet you both. You have a wonderful son. I hope we can be friends."

Mary smiled as she pulled away from the embrace. "I would love that, and thank you, Norma. It's a pleasure meeting you and your husband. You have a lovely and beautiful daughter."

"Thank you." Norma smiled, as Alex, Dylan, and Andrew, who just came back from the bar with a glass of wine in each of their hands stood next to her, and Nicki stood next to Dylan. "This is my husband Alex, our sons, Dylan and Andrew , and Dylan's girlfriend Nicki, who's Jenna's best friend. This is Jimmy's parents, Mary and Ryan."

"Pleasure meeting you, both." Alex said, as he shook their hands

"Hi, it's a pleasure meeting you both." Dylan smiled, as he and Andrew greeted them

"It's nice to meet you both." Nicki smiled

As the Romeros, as well as their friends opened their menus, Jenna and Nicki saw Ali take a seat at a table with her parents. The blonde looked uncomfortable to say the least, as they sat at a table with Johnny and his mother and stepfather, Sid, and Ali rudely opened her menu as Johnny tried to speak to her.

Thirty minutes had passed and they played waltzing music. Jenna danced with Alex, Ali danced with her father, Nicki danced with Dylan, while Andrew, Eddie, and Brian stood at the bar flirting with girls from the univeristy

Johnny and his mother sat down with Norma and Mrs. Mills at the table and he smiled widely at Ali, but she pursed her lips together, which didn't go unnoticed by her father. "Trouble with Johnny? You two love birds having trouble?" Mr. Mills asked

Ali rolled her eyes. "Dad, we're not love birds. Hey what time is it?" the blonde asked

Jenna looked over Alex's shoulder, and saw Jimmy, who gave her a smile. "May I cut in?" he asked

"Of course." Alex said

"Thank you." Jimmy smiled as he wrapped his arm around her lower waist. She placed her hand on his shoulder, and placed her other hand in his, interlacing their fingers. they swayed on the dance floor, resting their foreheads against one another's. "You're an excellent partner."

"Thank you." Jenna smiled. "My father taught me."

Jenna and Jimmy danced happily. To both, time just stood still, as they swayed to the music. Nothing else mattered. He had been thinking about the future a lot. he didn't know what his future held, but what he did know, there wasn't a future without Jenna in it.

"Hey dad, what time is it?" Ali asked

"Well, it's about 9:40." Mr. Mills said as he glanced at his watch.

"I gotta go." Ali said

"You have a date?" Mr. Mills asked, and Ali looked away. "Not that boy from Reseda." he said disapprovingly

"Yeah, he's from Reseda." Ali said, defending Daniel. "He's a nice guy. It's no big deal."

"Honey, you've monopolized the best looking man here long enough." Mrs. Mills said to Ali as she swapped partners so Johnny was dancing with Ali

Johnny smiled brightly at Ali, "Hi."

Ali rolled her eyes in annoyance and mumbled, "Hi."

"Listen, I've been thinking, maybe we can call a truce." Johnny said.

"Yeah, I'm not at war. Excuse me." Ali said, then tried to walk away.

"Could we please finish the dance?" Johnny asked as he tried to stop ali from leaving

Johnny looked over Ali's shoulder, and saw Daniel in the kitchen window. That's when he got an idea. He smirked as he brought Ali close and kissed her. Ali pulled away from Johnny and angrily shoved him back. "Don't you ever do that to me again!" Ali yelled 

Suddenly, a loud crash came from the kitchen. The kitchen door was wide open. Daniel and a waiter were sprawled amidst broken dishes and splattered spaghetti. The country club erupted into laughter, except for Jenna, Ali, Nicki, Norma, Alex, Dylan, Andrew, Eddie and Jimmy's parents, and even Jimmy, who gave Daniel a sympathetic look.

Daniel scrambled up and ran out and Ali turned to Johnny who was smiling and triumphant, and she punched him in the jaw with her right hand, then pushed him back, and ran after Daniel.

"I'll be back." Jenna said as she gave her boyfriend a gentle kiss. Turning to Johnny, she angrily slapped him across the face. "You fucking dickhead!" then angrily shoved him

"What the fuck Jenna?" Johnny spat

Jenna rolled her eyes and angrily retorted, "Don't you fucking start with me Johnny. You know I love you like a brother, but you just can't leave well enough alone.

Norma and Alex, who saw their daughter slap the blonde, turned to look at each other. "What the hell was all that about?" Norma asked

"Well, given the fact our daughter slapped king karate over there, he had something to do with that poor boy's misfortune." Alex said

Outside, Jenna and Nicki found Ali sitting on the bench, holding her wrist, tears in her eyes. Both girls sat down beside her and placed a gentle hand on her shoulder. "Ali, are you all right?" Jenna asked

"Girls, that was so humiliating." Ali said as she embraced her best friends, allowing a few tears to fall

"I'm so sorry hon." Jenna said, then gently looked at her best friend's wrist. "Is your wrist all right?"

"It's fine." Ali said, shaking it off as it were nothing. "I want to explain to Daniel, that Johnny kissed me."

"We know." Jenna said. "Don't worry, you'll get to explain. Johnny just doesn't know when to stop, or when to draw the line, I'm so sorry. If it makes you feel any better, Jenna slapped him."

"Is your hand okay?" Ali asked in concern, and Jenna nodded

Andrew and Eddie, who had seen the exchange between Ali and Johnny and even Jenna slapping Johnny, exited the country club. "Hey, Ali are you okay? We saw what happened." Dylan said

"Yeah, I'm fine." Ali said. "I just want to go home. I didn't even want to come to this stupid dinner to begin with."

"Hey, we'll take you home." Andrew said. "We're heading back to the frat house anyway."

"You two nitwits better take her straight home and don't pull anything stupid." Jenna said.

"You have our word sis." Andrew said as he held his hands up in surrender. "Yeah, we don't wanna get slapped like Johnny did." Eddie added

"It would be in your best interests if you went straight from here to Ali's house." Nicki said.

"Bye hon. We love you, and good night." Jenna said as she and Nicki embraced their best friend

"Bye hon. I love you both too, and good night." Ali said as she returned her best friend's embrace

After Ali left with Andrew and Eddie, Jenna and Nicki walked back into the country club where both girls were greeted by Norma and Alex. "Sweetheart what happened? Are you two and Ali all right?"

"We're fine ma." Jenna said. "Johnny saw Daniel in the kitchen and decided to pull a prank by forcing a kiss on Ali, so she punched him, and now her hand is sprained."

"If I was on duty—" Alex said, but was cut off by Norma

"Not here, Alexander."

Jenna and Nicki glanced at one another, then andrew walked up to Nicki and wrapped his arm around her, and led her to the foyer to bid her good bye.

"Hey, amour." Jimmy said as he wrapped his arm around jenna. "Hi Mr. and Mrs. Romero. I'm sorry about Johnny."

"Well, it's not your fault he can't take a hint." Alex said

"Honey, why don't we go get the car?" Norma suggested, then turned to Jimmy. "Jimmy, you and your parents are welcome to come over anytime anytime. Please let your mother know I enjoyed visiting with her."

"I will Mrs. Romero and she'll love that." Jimmy smiled

After Alex and Norma left, Jenna turned to face her boyfriend. "So, I will see you tomorrow, or do you have training? I know it's getting extended since the tournament is coming up, right?" Jenna asked, as they walked into the foyer of the country club.

"Of course, you know I'm always going to make time for you, amour." Jimmy said. "I really am sorry about Johnny pulling his shit." he added as he he wrapped his arms around her waist and gently rested her forehead against her's.

"It's not your fault." Jenna said as she caressed his back. "Be careful at training tomorrow. I love you."
