Monami was determined that no matter what she's going to convince her father for her and Karan's alliance. She'll put her best efforts for showing her father what Karan really is and how much he loves her. Monami was going by her car to Mumbai, her house from Deolali after having a very good time with her soon-to-be Sasural Wale. On her way to her home, she was very tensed, and her mind was filled with several negative thoughts. Whether her father will accept their love or not, her brain was again and again thinking the same. But her heart, her heart was only heaved with Karan's love and the confidence he filled in her. Monami had already told Sid about her arrival and also asked him to call Avinash and Swarna as well.

Monami reached her house and parked the car. As she got out of the car, she took a satisfying look at her house, but with a sad smile. The house that once got her happy, that used to see all her giggles and laughter and the house where she had all her beautiful moments is just making her all tensed today. Though Mahajan Mansion was large, had every facility but today it failed in making her heart feel happy. All the facilities of her house failed in front of Karan's love and all she could do is, chuckling sarcastically. Monami went ahead and rang the bell. After ringing the bell 2-3 times, the door was opened by their house help, Mahesh uncle.

Mahesh uncle (surprised) - Monami baby! Aap? Kitne din baad dekha aapko. Aaiye!

Monami smiled at the way her house helps also have a special love and bonding with her. She came in and happily rolled her eyes in the whole house and in a second, her eyes landed on that one wall. The wall had a huge picture with a garland over it, it was of her mother, Late Major Dr. Juhi Deepak Mahajan. Her eyes automatically welled up seeing her martyred mother's picture. Monami stepped ahead and was about to touch her mother's picture with tearful eyes, when her attention was caught by the sound of someone's shoes. She looked up at the staircase and saw her father coming down.

Monami (with a short smile) - Papa!

Monami was about to go to him to hug him. She thought that whatever happened in the hospital won't be coming between this father-daughter duo. But she was wrong, whatever that had happened in the hospital had put a wound on Deepak's ego. The way Monami supported Karan and didn't obey what Deepak had said had definitely hurt Deepak a lot and even angered him. Monami was about to hug him when he stopped her by showing her hand and with a poker face, sat down on the sofa with one leg above the other.

Deepak (reading the newspaper) - Mahesh bhaiya, ek coffee laa doge? Please!

Mahesh - Ji sir!

Mahesh went to the kitchen to prepare coffee for Deepak & for Monami as well, he knows how much she's fond of coffee. Monami kept standing there like a statue and being hurt by Deepak's ignorance. She sighed as she had expected him to be hurt and quietly sat down on the sofa, parallel to Deepak. Monami kept looking at her father's face that showed no emotions and she remembered how lively this house used to be when her mother was alive. That memory brought an instant smile on her lips, but Deepak's ignorance snatched it instantly. Mahesh uncle returned with 2 cups of coffee and gave on to Deepak and was about to serve the other one to Monami when Deepak interrupted.

Deepak - Arre arre Mahesh bhaiya, kya kar rahe ho?! Monami ji to sasural se kha-peekar aayi hongi. Humare yaha ki coffee to Monami ji, oh sorry sorry, Mrs. Shergill ko kaha hi pasand aayegi. Haina??

Monami was startled by her father's words and was amused also. She didn't expect the destruction to be this huge, but she was wrong. Her father was badly affected by her behavior in the hospital. But his words full of taunts pinched her heart.

Monami (standing up from the sofa) - Papa, aap ye kya keh rahe ho? Kaisi baatein kar rahe ho?! (Pouting) Mera ghar ye hain, aap koi nahi hote mujhe yaha kuchh bhi khaane-peene se rokne wale.

Before Deepak could reply anything to Monami, Sid, Avinash & Swarna entered Mahajan Mansion. The moment Swarna saw Monami, her eyes softened with the motherly affection she has for Monami and she instantly hugged Monami. Monami too hugged her tightly feeling the motherly love after so long. Even slight tears came in both of their eyes as they really missed each other. The lovely caresses and the gossip-full bond that Swarna and Monami share is bliss and is loved by all in the Mahajan Mansion. Swarna caressed Monami's hair lovingly, with her eyes full of tears.

Swarna - Kaisi hai meri bachi? Theek to hai na? Kitni dubli ho gayi hai, academy mein khana nahi dete kya?!

Tears brimmed in Monami's eyes, and she sobbed a bit in Swarna's embrace. Avinash too felt emotional as he has always considered Monami as his daughter and even prioritised her over Sid. Avinash came to Swarna & Monami who were still in a heart-warming hug and caressed Monami's hair with wet eyes. Monami turned to Avinash, who opened her arms for her the same way he used to when she was a little toddler. Monami chuckled with tears as she's meeting her dear uncle after months and it feels like decades. She hid herself in Avinash's embrace and the bond that Avinash & Monami share is loved by all, and it even brought a small smile on Deepak's face.

After a while of all the emotional reunion, Deepak, Sid, Monami, Swarna and Avinash had sat on the sofas of the living room. Monami was sitting in between Swarna and Avinash and they were asking her several questions about her training as it is the first time she has come home properly after joining Parakram SAF. As earlier when Deepak forcefully and manipulatively Deepak brought her in Mahajan Mansion, SwarNash were not available.

Avinash - Beta, training kaisi chal rahi hai?

Swarna - Bache, achhe se sab seekh rahi hai na? Achhe se trainers ki baat maan rahi hai ya fir vaha bhi bus apni chala rahi hai?

Swarna & Avinash bombarded questions on Monami and weren't giving her a chance to answer to which Sid chuckled hard. Monami was about to answer but before that Deepak interrupted.

Deepak - Arre Swarna, chinta mat kar. Teri bachhi vo army academy mein training ke saath-saath aur bhi bahot gul khilakar aayi hai!

Avinash - Deepak, kya bol raha hai tu?! Aur aaram se bol le, bhai.

Deepak (quite angrily) - Kyu? Tum dono ne vo photos nahi dekhi thi. Bahot shaunk chadha hai Monami ji ko uss ladke ke saath chipakne ka!

Swarna looked towards Monami and saw only sadness in her eyes due to what and how her father was saying. Swarna side hugged Monami and blinked at her indicating that she'll handle everything.

Swarna - Bhaiya, Sid ne bataya hume hospital mein kya hua. Aap please thoda shaant ho jaiye, aap aur Monami dono abhi thak gaye honge..aaram kar lijiye jakar, shaam ko baat karte hain.

Deepak stood up angrily as people whom he thought will support him are also on Monami's side. His ego was already hurt due to the hospital fiasco and now Swarna who's a sister to him is also supporting Monami and not looking at what all insults Deepak faced.

Deepak - Nahi nahi Swarna, Monami kaha yaha zyada der tak rukegi? Iske hone wale sasural walo ko yaad nahi aa rahi hogi iski? Aur vo Karan jisse chipak-chipak kar photos khichayi hui hai, vo bhi to miss kar raha hoga na madam ko!

Deepak's words were hitting Monami's heart hard and she just closed her eyes not being able to take all those taunts anymore. Sid who cannot see his bro in any sort of pain was just holding her from her shoulder and was being her ultimate support there.

Sid - Uncle G bro, please! Monu bro aur Karan sir ek dusre se pyaar karte hain, which is normal. Crime nahi kara unhone koi!

Deepak (angrily) - You better not interrupt, Sid! Monami uss fauji ke pyaar mein itni andhi ho gayi ki apne baap ki izzat ka khayal bhi nahi rakha. Vaha sabke saamne hospital mein mujhse, apne baap se itni badtameezi se baat kar rahi thi ye!

Monami takes a deep breath and remembers her Khadoos Shergill's words about being strong in every situation and taking stand for herself, so that she can do the same for others as well. Very calmly, Monami stepped ahead and took her father's hands in hers. She looked straight into Deepak's eyes with gentleness which made all of them confused. Deepak thought Monami would argue and be violent by words but the opposite happened. She made Deepak sit down on the sofa and herself, sitting on her knees.

Monami - Papa, I'm very sorry! Mujhe vaha hospital mein sabke saamne aapko aise nahi bolna chahiye tha, I admit! But vaha koi paraya thode hi tha jo aapka mazaak udayega. Sid, Param bhaiya, Bhabhi, Karan...sab ghar ke hi log to thhe. Just calm down papa!

Deepak squinted his eyes and arrogantly took his hands back from Monami's hold. Monami's face fell by the way Deepak ignored her words and just rolled his eyes. Still Monami smiled sadly and again approached her father.

Monami - Papa, aap gussa kyu ho rahe ho?

Monami's question directly hit Deepak's heart. He himself was forced to think upon this topic, why is he irked? Because Monami took a stand for herself or because she loves a commando? Not being able to give a logical answer, Deepak straight away went to his room. Monami followed him to get an answer to her question but before she could enter, Deepak closed the door on her face. She felt immense pain due to this act and slowly, tears started falling from her eyes.

Monami tried her best to communicate to Deepak calmly but he doesn't want to. Controlling her sobs, Monami ran to her room being followed by Sid & Swarna, who were genuinely sad looking at her flowing tears. Avinash was now fed up with Deepak's arrogance towards Monami and he's well aware about the immense love he has for Monami in his heart but isn't able to shower it on her. Avinash went to Deepak to put some sense in the great doctor who understands every disease in seconds but isn't able to figure out his own daughter's desire.

In Monami's room, it was all dark. Though it was just evening and the sun hasn't set yet but Monami had drawn the curtains and didn't switch on any light which made the room dark just like Monami's life with thoughts of being away from Karan.

Swarna and Sid saw her condition and it broke their hearts. Monami was sitting on the floor leaning to the bed, hugging her knees and her face dug in between her knees. Sid can't see the most lively person of his life in such an unlovely condition and he immediately hugged her. Sensing the warmth and comfort, Monami too hugged him and now her sobs were echoing with non-stop tears.

Monami (hiccuping) - Si..Sid, I...can't li..ve wi..without Ka..rran!

Sid (consoling her) - Haan Monu, tujhe Karan sir se koi dur nahi kar raha..chup!

Swarna too came beside Monami and started caressing Monami's hair while she was still hugging Sid who was caressing her back and trying to calm her down. Swarna and Sid somehow calmed Monami and made her have some water.

Swarna - Monu beta, ab better feel kar rahi hai?

Monami barely nodded and showed a forceful smile to Swarna to make her beleive that she's actually fine and there's no need to worry anymore. But Swarna who has always loved Monami like a mother could read her eyes very well. The sadness prevailed in Monami's eyes which made Swarna feel pity for her. Swarna just sighed as she couldn't do anything to make Deepak agree for her alliance as his insecurities are somewhat right as a father.

Sid (very softly) - Monu bro, Karan b..sir se baat karni hai?

Monami who wasn't able to utter anything just nodded rigorously as the only cure to her sadness is Karan. Sid who knew the love MoRan had for each other, just smiled and dialled a video call to Karan. While Swarna was surprised as Karan just picked up Sid's call in a single ring.

The camera was towards Sid so Karan who's been waiting for Monami's call, assumed that something major happened that's why Sid called him otherwise he was expecting Monami to call him. Here, at Shergill house, in his room, Karan panicked and started blabbering.

Karan (getting extremely worried) - Siddharth? Tumne call kyu kiya?! Rani Sahiba kaha hai? Is she fine? Mr. Mahajan ne kuchh kaha?!

The immense worry was obvious from his tone and it surprised Swarna again. By the Instagram pictures, she as a lady could easily make out that there's something in Karan that Monami is so happy and comfortable around him. And now the way Karan is worried for Monami, definitely made an impression on Swarna.

Sid - Sir, Monu yahi hai. Aap usse baat karlo.

Sid gave the phone to Monami and the moment the camera turned towards Monami, Karan understood the matter. Her reddened eyes, her puffy red nose, dry stains of tears and slight sobs were enough for the Special Agent as well as the Majnu Shergill to get what must've happened.

Karan firstly closed his eyes tight and then took a deep breath himself to calm his racing heart down who wanted to give a solid rant to Mr. Mahajan for making his love cry. But he knows, before him, Deepak is the one who has all the rights to Monami at least until they get married.

Karan (very softly) - Kya hua meri Rani Sahiba ko?

Monami's chin wobbled by the sweetness and softness Karan's words contained. By this drastic change in his tone, Sid got what sort of sweet talks will be happening now, so he signalled Swarna to come out of the room so that Monami & Karan do not feel awkward remembering this moment. As Swarna came out of the room along Sid, there was some confusion on her face.

Sid - Mummy G bro, what happened?

Swarna - Sid, ye Karan jab tujhse baat kar raha tha tab to aisa lag raha tha jaise pata nahi kitni chinta karta hoga Monu ki aur jab Monu ko phone diya, tab bilkul aisa ho gaya jaise sab pata ho pehle se hi. Samajh nahi aaya kuchh!

Sid (chuckled) - That's the speciality of love, Mummy G bro! Karan sir or Monu bro ek dusre ka pain bina kuchh kahe hi samajh jaate hain, they don't need words!

Swarna was amazed and both the mother and son sat in the living room getting worried for this Mahajan father-daughter duo.

In Deepak's room, Deepak was way stressed and now his head started paining a little. Avinash went to him and sat beside him. For a few minutes, the best friends didn't communicate and didn't even exchange a single word. They knew conversing through silence is better than arguing through words. After a few minutes, when Deepak couldn't handle the silence and non-caring behaviour of Avinash anymore, he thought to break the ice finally.

Deepak - Kyu aaya hai tu yaha?

Avinash - Tum baap-beti ek dum ek jaise ho, ek dum se hyper ho jaate ho! Monami ne tere se kya kaha tha? Ye kaha tha ki aaj hi kanyadaan karde tu uska? Nahi na! Usne sirf apni baat rakhi thi aur tune kya kiya?! Rula diya meri bachi ko!

Avinash huffed in anger and even Deepak felt bad that he made his daughter cry. But still Deepak was adamant and thought of himself to be the utmost correct one.

Deepak - To tu hi bata kya karu main? Chal ek baar ko uss insult ko, un ulte jawab ko bhi bhul jate hain jo Monami ne mujhe uss Karan ke saamne diye hospital mein. Lekin kya kara du main apni beti ki shaadi ek fauji se taki kuch salo baad uski haalat bhi mere jaisi ho jaye?!

Avinash looked at Deepak with a jolt as he was surprised knowing that Karan's profession is also a hurdle. Till date, he used to think that Deepak doesn't like Karan only because of the past grudges but here the matter is more complex than it seems.

Avinash - O Deepu bro! You're completely mad, ok?! Abhi tak mujhe lagta tha you don't like Karan just because he hurted your ego that too in your own house and apni beti ka boyfriend kaunse hi baap ko pasand hota hai! But tujhe to uske profession se bhi probelm hai! Tera kuchh nahi ho sakta...

Saying so, Avinash left the room leaving Deepak alone there. Deepak was quite surprised as till date, Avinash didn't let Deepak suffer any sorrow alone but today, he too left. Deepak just started rolling his eyes all around the room to control the brimming tears and that's when his eyes fell on that picture. It was a picture kept beside his bed and it was of Monami's mother, his wife, his first love and of Late Major Dr. Juhi Mahajan.

Deepak picked up the photo and hugged it tight as it always provides his heart with peace whenever he's worried and also shows him the right path.

Deepak - Juhi..dekho na apni beti ko! Uski ek zidd ke aage main jhuk gaya tha na, usne bola commando banna hai..I accepted! Lekin ab ye Karan...

Deepak couldn't contain the worriedness anymore and drop by drop tears started falling from his eyes. He clinged on to the photo frame as if it is really his wife.

Deepak (crying) - Ju..hii..kaash tum yaha hoti, mere paas..mujhe kisi cheez ki tension na hoti. Main already tumhe khokar andar se khokla mehsoos karta hoon aur agar kabhi Monami ko bhi ye sab dekhna pada to? Ye ladki samajhti nahi hai, pyaar mein andhi ho chuki hai..main nahi chahta meri bachi ko kisi bhi tarah ka dard ho!

Bitter tears were continuously flowing through Deepak's eyes and he had closed his eyes, when he felt some sensation beside him. It was his Juhi, sitting beside him cladded in her pride, her uniform and looking at him with a small peaceful smile.

Deepak - Apne pati ko aise problem mein dekhkar tum has kaise sakti ho? Tumhara badhiya hai! Khud to chali gayi aur mujhe yaha chhod gayi. Mujhe bhi le jaati na apne saath..taki Monami bhi khushi se reh paati aur main bhi tumare saath khush rehta!

It was a normal thing for Deepak to hallucinate Juhi whenever he was stuck somewhere in life. He believes it's her soul that cannot see him in pain and comes all the way down to earth to help him. His outburst made even Juhi worried and she side hugged him to calm his anger down.

Juhi - Kaisi baatein kar rahe hain aap?! Humari beti ke paas family ke naam par hai hi kaun? Sirf aap, Sid, Swarna aur Avinash bhaiya? Lekin ab jab use itna pyaar karne wala saathi mil raha hai, itna pyaar karne wala parivaar mil raha hai..to aap kyu mana kar rahe ho? Aap bhi to sirf Monami ki khushiyaan hi chahte ho na?

Deepak closed his eyes, understanding her words and kept his head on Juhi's shoulder being tired of all the mental stress Karan and Monami's topic is giving to him.

Deepak - Juhi, khud batao..duniya ka kaunsa baap apni bachi ka ghar basvana nahi chahta hoga?! Main bhi chahta hoon Monami ka khudka parivar ho, pati ho, sasural ho, bache ho! Lekin...

Juhi smiled understanding the inner turmoil of a father. She caressed his face softly which made those few tears to stream down his cheek. Juhi (or say her soul) wiped those tears and sat in front of him. She took both his hands in her grip just the way Monami did and this made Deepak smile softly.

Juhi - Lekin..aap darte hain, haina? (Deepak nodded) Aur kyu?

Deepak - Juhi, jab tumne army join kari, I supported you! Tum missions par jati thi to main aur Monami iss aas mein muskurate rehte thhe ki tum bahot jald vapis aaogi. Lekin jabse tum hume chhodkar gayi ho, tabse maine vo wali muskurahat nahi dekhi apni bachi ke chehre par. Sid ke saath to has bhi leti hai, lekin mere saath nahi. Aur sahi bhi hai..main nahi chahta ki jab main mar jau to meri beti ke aankh mein ek bhi aansu aaye isliye main usse attached nahi rehta. Lekin ab..ab vo Karan aa gaya hai uski life mein, vo bahot zyada attached ho chuki hai usse aur sirf main samajhta hoon how much attachment hurts!

Juhi - Deepak, aapne kabhi Monami ko Karan ke saath muskurate hue dekha hai? Nahi na! Kabhi mauka mile to dekhiyega vo kitna khush rehti hai uske saath, kitna safe or secure feel karti hai, uski aankhon ki chamak hi alag hoti hai! Aur jaha tak baat rahi attachment rakhne ki...Monami bahot jald ek commando banne wali hai, she's strong..physically, mentally and emotionally. Emotional fool nahi hai vo!

Deepak bowed his head understanding Juhi's words and somewhere deep down he too knows how elated Monami feels with Karan, but maybe he's not ready to accept that stated fact due to his past.

Deepak - Juhi, main jaanta hoon Monami ki khushi Karan mein hai. Lekin agar kal ko Karan ko kuchh ho gaya to meri bachi ka haal bhi mere jaisa hi ho jaega. Aur main apni bachi ko abhi uske liye rote dekhlunga lekin tab nahi jab use kuchh ho jaega!

Juhi sighed at her husband's words and couldn't argue further because she also knows that Deepak is right at his own place, but Monami's cries also cannot be ignored.

Juhi (standing up from the ground) - Suniye, ek baar apni beti se aaram se baat kijiye. Bhul jaiye aapke aur Karan ke beech pehle kya hua tha aur ab hospital mein kya hua. Monami ko apni baat rakhne ka mauka dijiye. Koi to baat hogi na Karan mein jo Monami ne use chuna!

With this, Juhi's soul disappeared leaving Deepak in his own world of thoughts. Juhi was right, he should've atleast listened to Monami and why does she want to be with Karan only and not some other guy. But now Deepak was more stressed as he couldn't figure out how to have a word with his daughter, whom he made shed tears due to his ego. Gaining some confidence, he came out of his room and without paying any heed to Swarna, Avinash and Sid who stood up seeing him coming, he went upstairs to Monami's room.

In Monami's room, Karan has asked her now for the 100th time about what happened and why she cried but all she was doing was only wailing and sobbing.
Karan was now fed up with her continuous cries as her tears were piercing her heart and giving him immense pain.

Karan - Rani Sahiba, ab bahot ho gaya..I'm coming there!

Karan was about to stand up from his bed to reach Monami and wipe her tears personally with his own fingers. And that's when Monami finally spoke up fearing that he'll actually come there because he's never kidding when it comes to her pain.

Monami (immediately) - Na..nahi Karan! Tum ya..yaha mat aana.

Karan sighed as she finally spoke up and he again sat on his bed obeying her but still was worried for her.

Karan - Fine, nahi aata main lekin ab aap batayengi ki aisi kaunsi baat ho gayi jo aap apne itne keemti aansu baha rahi hain?!

Monami (bitterly) - Karannn..pa..papa nahi maanenge!

Karan's forehead straightened and his demeanor turned stiff listening to the reasoning behind her tears.

Karan - Monami, shh..calm down!

Monami (again sobbing) - Kai..kaise Karan, kaise?! Papa kabhi nahi maanenge! I can't live without you!

With this, Monami softly sobbed again but wiped her tears immediately as Karan glared at her. But even his own eyes turned glistened seeing his Rani Sahiba going through so much mentally.

Karan - Monami, roti rahogi to sar mein dard ho jaega..don't cry! Main hoon na, kaise bhi karke I'll convince your dad. Bus tum mat rona!

Monami wiped her puffy nose and her cheeks that had tear stains as told by her Khadoos Shergill. To not to make him worry anymore, with great difficulty, Monami gave him a very short fake smile thinking that he'd believe in it.

Karan - Rani Sahiba, jitna bewakoof aap mujhe samajhti hain..utna hoon nahi main, so don't try to act smart in front of me! Tumhari fake smile na pehechan pau to kahe ka boyfriend?! I know it must be really hard for you to even talk to your dad, tum chaho to main baat karu?

Monami immediately shook her head and closed her eyes to gain back her confident self. She can't fall weak when it's a matter of her love and anyhow, she'll stand for her happiness. 

Monami - Nahi Karan, I'll stand for myself, I'll stand for us, for our love! Tumhari Rani Sahiba ro sakti hai lekin jab tak tum mere saath ho, main kamzor nahi pad sakti!

Karan smiled in contentment seeing his usual, confident & fierce Monami. He so wanted to be with her right now and hug her to provide her with the much-needed assurance and consolation. 

Karan (staring at her lovingly) - Rani Sahiba, kaash abhi main tumhare paas hota, kaash mein tumhare aansu pochh pata, infact main tumhe rone hi nahi deta. I so want to hug you right now! Mujhe achha nahi lag raha that you're suffering alone. 

Monami - Mr. Shergill don't worry..ab aapki Rani Sahiba aur nahi royegi. And you know what? I can fight!

Karan - I know you can, and I believe in you! But Monami, it's 'our' fight not just yours! Hhh..I wish I could be there. 

Before Monami could say something to cheer up Karan who was now sad as he couldn't be a part of her sorrows, someone snatched Monami's phone from her hand making her stand up from the ground. 

Deepak - Monami ke aansu pochhne ke liye uska baap hai, tumhe chinta karne ki koi zaroorat nahi hai!

And with this, Deepak cut the video call making both Monami & Karan surprised. For a moment, Monami was scared of Deepak's sudden barging in her room but on the other side, a smile lingered on Karan's face. He was happy for Monami that even though Deepak frowned looking at Karan on the call, but at least he stated that Deepak can also be Monami's support system and reason for her happiness.

Karan (in mind) - Bhale hi Mr. Mahajan chid gaye mujhe dekhkar but now I think..vo meri Rani Sahiba ko aur rone dahi denge.

Monami stood up from the ground and looked at her father with a questioning gaze. Deepak understood her unsaid query and thought to solve it. He held her hands and made her sit on her bed. Deepak sat beside Monami and started caressing her hair making her surprised. The way Deepak's hands glided over Monami's hair, she felt an urge to just hug her father and hide herself in his embrace. But Monami held her emotions back and thought to handle things maturely and not to fall weak.

Deepak (very calmly) - Monami, baat kare beta?

Monami looked at Deepak with a jolt as after years she has heard such a sweet tone of his. This tone of Deepak was usual for Monami to hear when Juhi was alive but after Juhi's demise, all she heard was her father's strict and stern tone. Monami gulped the lump that formed in her throat and nodded.

Deepak - Monami beta, batao..main sunna chahta hoon tum kya kehna chahti ho.

Monami took a deep breath and was happy that finally, Deepak is ready to hear what she wants and is not only going to obey what her father said to her once.

Monami - Papa, I really love Karan!

Deepak closed his eyes in irritation as whenever Monami admits that she loves Karan, it pinches his heart. Monami saw his reaction but sensing that he didn't say anything, she decided to continue.

Monami - Papa, Karan bahot achha hai! Main maanti hoon aap dono ke beech baat-cheet kaisi hai and I'm very sorry, maine hospital mein jo bhi kaha uske liye. Lekin papa..main Karan se bahot pyaar karti hoon aur vo to mujhse duniya-jahaan se zyada pyaar karta hai! He's the best guy I've ever met, jaise vo meri care karta hai, mujhe respect karta hai, meri har choti se choti baat yaad rakhta hai, mujhe special aur loved feel karata hai..no man ever did such things for me, papa!

Deepak (immediately) - Mujhse bhi zyada pyaar karta hai tujhse?

Deepak's question put Monami in a dilemma. It was now Monami who was searching for an answer. She knows that her father loves her to no limits and the same Karan does. But sometimes, it's important to express your feelings whether love or hate but Deepak rarely did so. Whereas Karan, who's no less than his to-be Sasurji, he too shies from expressing his love but atleast showers it on Monami whenever she desires for it. Monami was in a conflict between her heart and her brain now. 

Monami's brain - Papa mujhse bahot pyaar karte hain, jaanti hoon..lekin dikhana bhi to padta hai na! Mumma ke baad papa to mujhse cut-off hi ho gaye. 

Monami's heart - Papa chahe kitni koshish karle mujhse cut-off hone ki lekin vo ho nahi sakte. Unki aankho mein mere liye pyaar aur chinta clearly dikhti hai. Aur vaise bhi..ek ladki ko uske papa se zyada koi pyaar nahi kar sakta. 

Monami's brain - Lekin Karan..uske pyaar ke aage har kisi ka pyaar feeka pad jata hai! 

Monami inhaled a deep breath as she came to the conclusion of the conflict between her brain and her heart. She looked towards Deepak, straight in his orbs, that too very confidently.

Monami - Papa, ye to aap bhi jaante ho ki mujhe aapse zyada pyaar koi nahi kar sakta. Lekin sach to ye hai ki Karan mujhse jitna pyaar karta hai na, vo aapke pyaar se kam bhi nahi hai! He's the best man a girl could ever get!

Deepak smiled slightly at Monami's explanation and sighed after thinking a bit. He was about to say something but Monami said before him.

Monami - Papa, Avinash uncle, Swarna aunty or Sid bhi humari family hain, don't you think hume kuchh baatein unke saath bhi karni chahiye? Nahi?!

Deepak smiled wide at her words and agreed happily. Both Deepak and Monami went downstairs. Deepak was very lovingly holding his daughter's hand and both of them had a small smile lingering on their lips. Monami was happy that finally after so long her father was willing to listen to what her heart wants. And Deepak was happy because after so long his daughter shared whatever was in her heart with him without hesitation.

Avinash, Swarna and Sid were surprised to see this duo coming together that too while smiling. This was really surprising for the three of them but SwarNash's eyes instantly got wet as they saw a glimpse of how Deepak was before Juhi's martyrdom.

Deepak - Bhai Avinash, humari bachi badi ho gayi hai. Use apne hone wale jeevan aur jeevansathi ke baare mein hum sabse baat karni hai. Baith jao yaar!

This time Deepak's words regarding Monami and her life wasn't much of taunts. Rather they were expressing his little happiness in her happiness. Though everyone had an idea what the talk is about but they decided to start it all again.

Swarna - Bol beta, kya baat hai?

Monami - Aap sabne meri aur Karan ki Instragram ki pictures to dekh hi li hongi na, so ya..hum dono Jaipur gaye thhe and I'm really sorry for those pictures.

Avinash - Beta, chahe baat kuchh bhi ho aur chahe log kuchh bhi kahe..agar tu jo kar rahi hai usme tujhe khushi mil rahi hai then there's no need to be sorry!

Monami smiled wide at what Avinash said and one smile of the sunshine of the house was enough to make everyone else smile.

Monami (very excitedly) - Papa, jab hum  Jaipur gaye thhe na to vaha mujhe mumma ke kaka-kaki bhi mile thhe.

Deepak - Achha? Kya keh rahe thhe vo?

Monami (just like a baby) - Hume vo na ek mall mein mile thhe aur fir vo dono mujhe aur Karan ko apne saath apne palace le gaye! Aur pata hai vo itna bada tha ki main aur Karan to dekhte hi reh gaye!

The way Monami was telling about her Jaipur trip to her father and how Deepak was keenly and attentively listening to her rant made the Ganju trio smile widely. All they want is just Monami's happiness and they're getting it. Suddenly, Avinash started talking to Deepak when Swarna pulled Monami closer to herself.

Swarna (whispering) - Monami, tu ye jo itna Jaipur aur Karan ka raag gaa rahi hai, aisa kya hua tha tumhare beech Jaipur mein? I mean, kahi vo aur tu...sa..saath mein..ek saath..

The way Swarna was hesitating in asking, Monami somewhat got what she must be asking. For a second, Monami lowered her eyelids being shy but managed to somehow divert Swarna's attention from 'that' topic.

Sid - Monu bro, go ahead and tell everyone about Karan sir!

Monami nodded and stood in the centre to grab everyone's attention.

Monami - Ahm ahmm..so, guys..I really love Karan!

Avinash - Beta, ye hum dasvi (10th) baar sun chuke hain! Batao to aakhir ye tumhara Karan hai kaun?!

Monami - A..haan uncle, Karan means Special Agent Major Karan Shergill is a really courageous and determined special agent and chief instructor of Parakram SAF. Uske ghar mein uski dadi, uske mom-dad, bhaiya-bhabhi aur unki ek beti hai. Na main Karan ke bina reh sakti aur na hi Karan mere bina! With this, I rest my case.

Explaining whatever was necessary for her family to know about Karan, Monami saw down on the sofa with a cute pout. She very hopefully looked at Deepak, wishing that he might agree.

Deepak - Monami, I know you love Karan and use dekhne se bhi lagta hai ki vo bhi kahi na kahi tumhe pasand karta hai. Mujhe tumhare aur Karan ke rishte se koi problem na hoti agar vo ek fauji na hota to. Maine tumhe apni baat rakhne ka mauka diya na, so I want you to hear me clearly. Just because he's a commando, I can't accept him!

Saying so, Deepak turned around breaking everyone's heart. They all thought that he has got his sense back but no, they were wrong. Monami was the one who's the most affected because of Deepak's words. She saw Deepak's retreating figure with moist eyes.

Monami - Kismat ko ek mauka dekar to dekhiye papa! Kya pata kismat mujhpe thodi meher karde.

Deepak turned around as Monami touched the right spot. Even she's aware of what her father has gone through all these years of loneliness and that's his major fear. Monami approached her father and made her sit on a chair and herself sat near his knees.

Deepak - I don't want to anymore, Monami.

Monami - But I want to, papa! I know aap darte ho ki Karan ek commando hai and kal ko agar use kuchh ho gaya to mera kya hoga, haina? Aapne kabhi ye nahi socha ki kuchh mahino mein main bhi to ek commando ban jaungi, mujhe kuchh ho gaya to?!

Deepak (angrily) - Monami! Don't you dare utter such nonsense!

Monami - Jab mere baare mein aisa sunkar aapko ek dum gussa aa gaya to sochiye jo aap Karan ke baare mein ye baat repeatedly bole jaa rahe ho ki 'kuch ho gaya to', 'kuchh ho gaya to'..mujhe gussa nahi aa raha hoga?! Papa, aap ek doctor hain, we think practically! Kal ki chinta mein aap mujhe mera aaj jeene nahi de rahe, is that fair? I know fauji ki zindagi aasan nahi hoti lekin kya unke parivar nahi hote? Vo shaadi nahi karte? Papa, agar meri shaadi Karan se ho gayi to chinta se zyada mujhme faqr hoga ki main ek aise fauji ki biwi hoon jo desh ke liye jaan de sakta hai, without any second thought!

Deepak - Yahi..yahi problem hoti hai inn faujiyon ki. Na ghar dekhte hain aur na hi parivar, bus desh aur desh! Tumhari mom bhi aise hi sab kuchh bhulkar gayi thi mission par aur hua kya..she left us!

Sensing the situation, Sid too came and sat on the floor near Monami and started caressing her back as he sensed that she was getting weak in her war.

Monami (with a smile) - Ek baar mumma ki kasam khakar keh do ki aapko bilkul bhi proud feel nahi hota unki shahadat par. Ek baar! Bus ek baar kehdo, papa! Aap ek baa ye admit karlo that you aren't proud of her!

Sid - Haan Uncle G bro, ek baar admit karlo! Monu apna Karan-Karan rap song bhi band kar degi.

Deepak was all silent as he couldn't say anything now. He accepted his defeat in from of Monami and shook her head conveying that he can't say so as he's actually very proud of Juhi. Both SiMi smiled at Deepak.

Deepak - Monami, sirf Karan hi kyu beta? Itne achhe-achhe ladke Hain duniya mein..fir sirf Karan hi kyu?!

Monami smiled shyly at this question and was about to go in her Karan lala land but fortunately, Sid's nagging brought her back.

Monami - There's a reason papa, vo bilkul aapke jaisa hai!

All the present people were surprised by what Monami uttered. Even Sid was surprised as he never thought that she's going to compare these two very different men.

Sid - Bro, kya bol rahi hai? How can this be so?

Monami - I'm not kidding, Sid. Dono kafi hadd tak ek jaise hain. Dono ka ego bahot bada hai..magar mere saamne chhota pad jata hai. Dono thode se akdu hain, magar meri ek smile ke liye kuchh bhi kar sakte hain. Dono duniya ko heartless lagte hain..lekin sirf main hi jaanti hoon ki kisi ko bhav na dene wale, sabse zyada pyaar mujhse karte hain. Dono hi Khadoos aur Sadu hain, lekin mere aage chutkiyon mein pighalte hain! Hue na dono same-same but different??

All chuckled hard at Monami's cute comparison and Deepak instantly pulled his daughter in her embrace. He hugged her tightly but this time with happy tears in his eyes. He got an unknown assurance that she would never forget him and his love. Even SwarNash came and caressed Monami's hair as she too started getting emotional.

Deepak - Kal shaam, kisi achhe se restaurant mein Karan ko dinner par invite karlo. I want to meet him!

Just these few words from Deepak and Monami's happiness was touching the 7th sky. She couldn't believe that Deepak agreed to meet Karan, though just for her sake but he did agreed. Monami kissed Deepak's cheek the same way she used to do when she was a child and ran to her room along with Sid. The house turned lively again and a wave of happiness prevailed.

Swarna - Good decision, bhaiya!

Avinash - Vaise Deepu bro, ghar mein na barkat tabhi hoti hai jab ghar ki laxmi khush ho!

Deepak just nodded while smiling to what SwarNash said and was somewhere eager to meet Karan but not as Mr. Mahajan this time, but as the father of the girl Karan loves. Deepak ensured in his mind that it is going to be tough for Karan to impress him because he doesn't wants anything usual from Deepak. Karan desires to have the most special and beloved possession of Deepak, so he surely has to pass some tests.
