Deepak was feeling proud of himself as he handed his daughter to such a gentleman and knew that today his wife Juhi would be immensely proud of him. Seeing him being emotional, Avinash kept his hand on Deepak's shoulder and gave him the much-needed support.

Soon Karan & Monami hugged each other again and found their happiness in each other. Monami looked at Karan and found him already staring at her with those heart shape, love filled eyes, and she couldn't help and just blush due to the immense happiness.

As already planned, today the Shergills were supposed to be visit the Mahajans as Karan passed Dr. Mahajan's 'ideal son-in-law test' and the Shergills couldn't be happier than this, Karan guesses so. After a good, wholesome dinner with Monami & her family, Karan was on his way to Deolali and with a happy heart, was being excited to inform his family about the new member's confirmed addition. As Karan reached and Barkha opened the door for him, he could see the excitement and nervousness in everyone's query-filled eyes. Karan just smiled to the fullest realizing what gem of a family he has got.

Suhasini (rushing towards Karan) - Karan, beta..batao na Monami ke pitaji se kya baat hui tumhari? Raazi to hain na vo iss rishte ke liye?!

Ranjeet (answering instead of Karan) - Maa, Monami ke papa inke rishte ke liye raazi hain ye to janaab ke chehre par saaf likha hai. Sahabzaade ki muskaan hi bata rahi hai ki sab achha hi hua! Kyu Karan, sahi kaha na maine?

Karan just smiled cheekily on how avidly his family knows him. Even after a lot of sufferings, nothing has changed and their love for each other is still the same. At this while, all he could imagine was Monami receiving all that family-love she was deprived of and how beautiful of a bond they'll have with his Rani Sahiba. Just the mere thought of him being hers forever made Karan's cheeks heat up and lips curve into a smile.

Barkha - Sahi keh rahe hain papaji aap. Mere devarji ke gaal to abhi se laal ho gaye, shaadi wale din kya hoga aapka Karan ji?

Karan - Kya yaar Bhabhi, aap to mat chhedo! Aur haan, Monami ke dad humare rishte ke khushi-khushi maan gaye. Unhone kal hum sabko apne ghar invite kiya hai. Chalenge na hum kal?

Varsha (coming out of her room) - Betaji, tere ghar pahunchne se pehle tere hone wale Sasurji ka phone aa gaya tha. Abhi-abhi unhi se baat kar-kar aayi hoon. Unhone hume officially kal invite kiya hai, kaise nahi jayenge?!

Karan was surprised on how quick his soon to be father-in-law is that he even called his mother too for inviting them officially. A small smirk appeared on Karan's face as he realizes that not only him, but Dr. Mahajan is also excited and desperate for this alliance. After a little teasing session with a round of coffee, everyone departed towards their room and today, on Baby's great insistence, she was sleeping with her Chachu.

On Karan's bed, at around 12am, Baby was just closing her eyes under heavy influence of sleep as this Chacha-Bhateeji duo played games till almost midnight. While sleep was far away from Karan's eyes. Just lying on his bed, he was thinking of all what happened today. How Dr. Mahajan wasn't even agreeing to meet Karan, how he wanted to keep his daughter way from Karan and how he was hating the love and bond between him and Monami. But all of a sudden, the destiny played its game, and the tables turned, Dr. Mahajan on time realized that there's no one better for Karan & Monami and how perfectly they fit together in the mold of love.

Breaking Karan's chain of thoughts, his phone started ringing and the screen displayed the name of the person whose mere mention is enough to fasten his heartbeat, his lifeline, his dhadkan, his Rani Sahiba! Baby's sleep was getting disturbed due to the ring of the phone, so Karan quickly picked up the call and moved into the balcony.

Karan - Ji farmayi Rani Sahiba, itni jaldi yaad aane lagi humari?

Monami - Ab kya kare soon to-be patidev..aapke bina raha hi kaha jaata hai!

Karan (huskily) - Kaho to aa jau?

Monami (blushing) - Dhatt! Achha mazaak chhodo, tum ye batao ki aakhir tumne papa se aisa kaha kya ki vo ek dum humari shaadi ke liye maan gaye?! Matlab mere vo papa jo tumhe kabho tolerate hi nahi karna chahte thhe, vo khud humari shaadi ke liye maan gaye! Batao na Khadoos Shergill, aise kaunsi death stare di tumne unhe, haan?

Karan sighed and shook his head in disbelief on Monami's belief that whatever he wants to be done, he gets it done just by looking that person straight in his eyes and giving his special death glare to him.

Karan - Hone wale sasurji ko koi death stare deta hai kya? Maine aisa koi tactic nahi lagaya, it's just that I made him understand that how important you are to me & how much I love you. Aur ye bhi bataya ki na main aur na hi unki ladli ek dusre ke bagair reh payenge..to bus, sasurji ne humara pyaar samjha aur bus, kardi haan!

Monami smiled on the phone and here, Karan could feel the peace in his heart. They were extremely thankful to their stars for the immense love they share and how they're soon going to be blessed with their elders' blessings for infinite love. They stayed quiet on the call for a while, but they could feel each other. They could feel what their hearts wanted to convey but words couldn't. After a while, Monami decided to break the silence.

Monami - Suniye...

Karan (immediately) - Sunaiye!

Monami (chuckling) - Mr. Shergill, main to bus uss din ka intezaar kar rahi hoon jab mera Khadoos Shergill, ghodi chadhke, sehra baandhke, dulha banke mere ghar aayega aur mujhe humesha ke liye apni banakar le jayega!

Karan - Rani Sahiba, aap abhi-bhi apne Khadoos Shergill ki hi hain aur humesha rahengi! Aur vaise bhi kal to hume official but partial license mil hi jayega.

Monami (blushing slightly) - Hmm...agar kal sab sahi raha to shayad..humara roka..bhi ho jaye.

Monami's words were being stuck in her throat due to the amount of blush that had appeared on her face and all those butterflies that she was feeling in her stomach as she mentioned about their 'roka'. Karan just smiled widely at how cute and shy his Rani Sahiba is and he couldn't do anything but just fall in love with her more.

Karan - Achha ek baat bataiye Rani Sahiba? Aapke bina na neend nahi aa rahi mujhe.

Monami - Bus thoda aur intezaar Karan, fir har raat, mere paas, meri baahon mein sona!

Saying so, Monami cut the call being extremely shy and immediately hid her face in her palms. Karan chuckled hard on how quick life has taken turns. How quick his colorless life is filled with colors of joy by the only artist of his life, his Monami. Neither Karan nor Monami could wait for the next sun and to make their alliance official. With Monami's thoughts in his minds and only her dreams in his eyes, Karan hugged his partner in crime, Baby and dozed off.

The next sun rose, spreading its bright rays and love all over in the air. Today Karan & Monami woke up all by themselves with the glow of excitement clear on their faces. Monami's happiness was on its peak as today the Shergills were supposed to visit them. Monami freshened up and went downstairs only to witness Swarna and Avinash instructing all their house staff to be quick enough with all the dusting and cleaning of the house. Somewhere in her heart, she felt a gush of happiness as she could see all her dreams turning slowly into reality.

As she moved towards the kitchen to get herself some coffee, she received another shocker which was Deepak hurriedly asking all the cooks of their house to prepare the meal with perfection. Monami chuckled as she went closer and saw Sid sitting on the slab and trying to open each casserole.

Deepak (sternly) - Sid, tum ye kya kar rahe ho?

Sid (smelling all the dishes) - I'm helping uncle!

Deepak (sarcastically) - Oh really? May I know how?

Sid - Ofcourse uncle, main saari dishes one-by-one taste kar raha hoon aur approve kar raha hoon whether they are presentable to the guests or not.

Listening to Sid's contribution, Deepak just shook his head in disbelief while the cooks chuckled at Sid. Deepak again got engrossed in giving instructions when Monami went and hugged him tight.

Deepak - Arre, kya hua beta? Yaha kyu aa gayi? Go, get freshen up and have breakfast! Already tum itna late uthi ho, jaldi se taiyaar ho jaana, aaj Karan apni family ke saath lunch par aa raha hai, remember?

By these instructions of Deepak, Monami felt love of both a mother & a father being showered by Deepak. Somewhere it strikes her that if Juhi would've been alive, she would've been equally excited and concerned as Deepak is right now.

Monami (slightly blushing) - Haan papa, yaad hai mujhe.

Sid (interrupting) - Kya uncle..Monu itni important baat thode hi bhulegi! Haina bro, am I right or am I right?

Monami - Oh shut up Sid! Main abhi thodi der mein taiyaar hokar aati hoon papa. By the way, thank you papa, mujhe aur Karan ko samajhne ke liye. I love you papa!

Deepak (caressing her hair) - Sachha pyaar karta hai vo tumse, samajhta hai vo tumhe..uske aur apni beti ke liye to itna banta hai!

Monami smiled at Deepak's immense understanding and it was clear how Karan's words changes his thinking. Thanking Deepak, she went back in her room to get dressed for today.

On the other side, at the Shergills', Karan woke up stretching his arms wide and as he panned his head towards the side table to fetch his phone, his eyes fell on the photo frame that he yesterday only kept there. It was him along with his Rani Sahiba, hugging eachother tight on the occasion of their anniversary. An instant smile crept on his lips and in a moment, he realised what day it is.

Karan (to himself) - Arrey! Aaj to..Rani Sahiba ke ghar jaana hai. Chalo bhai, Khadoos Shergill..get dressed for your love!

Thinking so, Karan just rushed to the washroom with his phone to get a bath. Karan turned on the shower and as soon as those water droplets fell on his torso, gliding through the bumps of his abs, his muscles relaxed. His abs, back and hair got wet and the bathroom turned steamy. All of a sudden, his phone ringed and it was Monami.

Karan - Hanji, boliye Rani Sahiba!

Monami - Kaha ho Karan? Kya kar rahe ho?

Karan - Bathroom mein hoon, naha raha hoon. Wanna join?

Monami (seductively) - Don't worry, vo din bhi jaldi aayega Mr. Shergill!

Her words made Karan smile and in the next second, he started blushing hard. Monami's chuckles could be heard through the speaker as she already knows what Karan's reaction must be.

Karan - Achha, chhodo ye sab. Batao, kaise phone kiya.

Monami - Haan, tum aa rahe ho na aaj?

Karan - Bilkul meri jaan, aaj ka din bhool sakta hoon kya? Don't worry, I'm getting ready for you jaan. Tum ready ho?

Monami - Nahi, bus ho rahi hoon.

Karan (interrupting) - Video call karu kya? Mere liye ready ho rahi ho, mere saamne hi ready ho jao.

Monami (blushing hard) - Hatt, besharam!

Scolding him sweetly, Monami cut the call and here, Karan too started focusing on his shower. In a few minutes, he came out, wore the outfit that his Rani has chosen for him and went towards the mirror. His reflection in the mirror was just a breathtaking scene. Him in an ivory kurta with its buttons left open, wet messy jet-black hair, his biceps clearly being flexed from the fabric and his outshining veins were just a cherry on top. Karan hurriedly combed his wet hair and rushed downstairs.

In the living room, Suhasini was making sure that each and every thing is packed with perfection and her mandatory little scoldings were also being showered on Barkha and Varsha. Karan chuckled a bit as its very usual for both of them and as he panned his eyes towards the couch, he saw the boss of the house being unaffected and just munching on her breakfast. Param & Ranjeet came from outside and Suhasini's eyes turned towards them.

Param - Isse pehle aap kuchh poochhe, maine aur dad ne saara samaan aur gifts gaadi mein rakh diye hain. Happy dadiji?

Suhasini - Haan haan, lekin ye Karan kaha reh gaya?! Vo nahi jaane wala kya?

Ranjeet - Kaisi baat kardi maa? Sahabzaade to sabse zyada utavle honge. Vo dekho peechhe khada sab sun raha hai.

Suhasini turned back and was very happy seeing Karan all perfectly dressed up and the glow on his face could tell how happy and eager he is to leave for Mahajans' place.

Varsha - To betaji, taiyaar sasural jaane ke liye?

All of them had a good laughter seeing Karan's almost flushed blushing face and just like a nayi naveli dulhan, he nodded. The Shergills with full preparation, departed from Deolali for Mumbai and in the whole way, Param and Ranjeet were continuously teasing Karan.

Param (while driving) - Vaise papa, aapne socha hai agar Monami ko Karan ki asliyat pata chal gayi to kya hoga?

Ranjeet (playing along) - Haan haan, bechari Monami..bina iski asliyat jaane hi iske pyaar mein pad gayi. Poor child!

Everyone understood that it's just another teasing session of Param but Karan who was lost in Monami's thoughts till now, snapped in front immediately.

Karan (slightly scared) - Papa, bhaiya..kaisi asliyat?! Monami mere baare mein sab jaanti hai..Monami se kuchh nahi chhupa.

Param - Achha? To fir to vo ye bhi jaanti hogi ki bachpan mein tu har raat bed geela karta tha?!

By these words of Param, all the passengers burst into great laughter while Karan was embarrassed to the max. Param's teasings didn't stop and so, Karan had to hide his face all the way.

Finally after a long journey of 3 hours, the Shergill were at their destination. Everyone stepped out of the car and as soon as Karan saw the Mahajan Mansion with twinkling eyes, something in his heart tickled.

Karan (in mind) - Bahot jald, isi ghar mein baarat lekar aaunga aur tumhe humesha-humesha ke liye apna banakar lekar jaunga, Monami!

Param (from behind) - Oh Raja sahab, khade-khade ghar ko kya taad raha hai?! Madad kar samaan nikalvane mein.

Nodding hurriedly, Karan went to help Param to take out things from the trunk of the car. On the other side, in Monami's room, Sanju who has come to help Monami and be a support to her was helping Monami to drape the saree. While Monami, was just being tensed and started panicking.

Sanju - Monami, tu kaye ke laane itni ghabra raho hai? Uncleji ko to sirji pasand aa hi gaye hain na.

Monami - I know Sanju but still, agar sab gadbad ho gaya to?

Swarna (entering the room) - Kuchh gadbad nahi hoga! Tu tension mat le beta. Aur agar hoga, to hum hain na..sambhal lenge. Chal gudiya, ab jaldi-jaldi taiyaar ho. Ladke wale aane hi wale honge.

Listening so, soft hew appeared on her face and she lowered her eyelids being shy as Swarna called Karan and his family as "ladke wale". Seeing her condition, both Sanju and Swarna chuckled at her.

Sanju (in her ear) - Arre mori maiyya! Tu to bus rishte ke naam se itna sharma raho hai...shaadi ke baad, jab..ahm ahmm hoga, tab tera kya hoga?!

Monami gasped at Sanju's audacity of teasing her on this topic that too in front of Swarna. Her eyes went wide while Swarna chuckled internally as she had already heard what Sanju said.

Swarna - Sanju beta, achha hua tum aa gayi. Aisi kayi baatein hoti hain jo shayad Monami mujhse na keh paati, magar tumse zaroor keh degi.

Sanju - Mummy ji, hume to aano hi tha. Humara to double rishta hogo. Monami humari nanad aur sirji bhi humaye bhai jaise.

Swarna smiled at Sanju's kind words and exited the room leaving the girls behind, trying to hurry up their makeup. In 10 more minutes, getting aptly dressed for one of the most important events of her life, Monami hurriedly went in the kitchen to Swarna with Sanju, to see the preparation of the lunch and how to take the chai for the special guests.

Suddenly, a loud ring of the doorbell was heard and everyone's ears stood straight. Monami's heartbeat fastened as she was sure that it's her Karan with her soon too-be family. While Monami's breaths started getting denser, Deepak, Avinash and Swarna's face showed how excited they are to host the Shergills. Sid hurriedly went and opened the door for the very special guests and along with him, Deepak, Avinash & Swarna too went to welcome the Shergills.

Deepak (with joint hands) - Aaiye aaiye bhaisahab, namaskar!

The Shergills smiled wide with the kind of welcome they got. The whole mansion was subtly decorated with minimalistic lights and flowers. Beautiful carpets were drawn on the floor making the house look rishta-ready. But what touched the Shergills' hearts the most was the homely and welcoming smile Deepak, Sid, Avinash & Swarna had on their faces. Karan, Param and Barkha touched Deepak, Swarna and Avinash's feet, while Sid touched Suhasini, Ranjeet & Varsha's feet.

Picking up Baby in his arms, Deepak and Avinash took Ranjeet and Param in while, Varsha and Barkha were taken care by Swarna and Karan, very nervously walked beside Sid. All of them were heading towards the living room. While the elders walked in front, Sid & Karan were at the back, a little behind. Sid being Sid, noticed how out of character Karan was looking today. With his eyes down, demeanor slightly slouched, Karan seemed very nervous and anxious.

Sid (whispering) - Hey b..sir, what happened? Why does it seem as if a snake sniffed you?

Karan (confused) - Hain?!

Sid - Arre vo, Sanju bolti hai na..saanp soong..gana..something!

Getting what Sid meant, Karan just annoyedly rolled his eyes at him as he was in mood to justify why he's not looking so interested and confident. Internally, he's dying to have a look of his Rani Sahiba but obviously, he can't let this thought come out as after knowing this Param would surely kill him with all his teasings.

Everyone got seated in the living room and in no time, the chatters started. Talking, whispering, gossip, work, news, politics, everything was being discussed. It didn't seem as if the Mahajans and Shergills are meeting for the first time.

Suhasini (to Swarna) - Aap logo ne humare liye kitni takleef le li..

Swarna - Arre nahi nahi auntyji, isme takleef kaisi? Aap humari beti ke hone wale sasuralwale hain, itni khaatir to banti hai.

All had a good laughter, and small conversations were constantly happening. In between, the series of questions was also getting followed up. Deepak and Avinash to Ranjeet, Param and Karan and vice versa and Barkha, Suhasini and Varsha to Swarna and vice versa. On a single separate sofa, Karan was sitting being impatient of his Monami's arrival. He was being eager to see her and get hooked to her for all his lifetimes.

Karan (in mind) - Ye bade baatein hi karte rahenge ya fir Monami ko bhi bulayenge? Arre bhai, jis kaam ke liye aaye ho vo hi karlo pehle..ye faltu ki baatein to hoti rahengi!

Due to his irritation, slight lines on his forehead appears and his despair was clearly being reflected from his face. Baby, who's Karan's bestfriend, went to him and Karan made him sit on her lap.

Baby (in his ear) - Chachu, kya hua? Aap aise sad kyu ho? Chachi ke ghar aakar achha nahi laga aapko?

Karan (in her ear) - Arre baby, achha to tab lagega na jab aapki hone wali chachiji darshan dengi! Pata nahi kaunse kop-bhavan mein chhupkar baithi hain Rani Sahiba?!

Even though, Baby didn't understand a few of Karan's words but very well understood what the elders couldn't. She just gave Karan the 'Shergills' special' smirk and went to Ranjeet and climbed on his lap. Though Karan was unaware of Baby's plan but had blind trust on his partner in crime and knowing how she will resolve his problem, a small, wicked smile appeared on Karan's face.

Baby (to Ranjeet) - Dadu, hum to Dr. Girl ke ghar aaye thhe na?

Ranjeet - Haan beta, ye aapki Dr. Girl ka hi ghar hai.

Baby - Lekin fir Dr. Girl kaha hai? Mujhe unse milna hai aur bahot saari baatein bhi karni thi.

All smiled shortly at Baby's words and also chuckled at her love and attachment towards Monami. But little did they know, it's all Baby & Karan's joint idea. Listening to Baby's words, Karan was the happiest as now he'll finally get to see Monami.

Swarna - Bilkul sahi kaha beta aapne, jiski zaroorat hai vo to hai hi nahi hai yaha.

Sid - Main bulakar laata hoon.

Sid hurriedly went into the kitchen to call Monami but not before giving a teasy smile to Karan, to which he just looked down. As the elders wanted and how Karan desired, Monami, just like a traditional, shy, timid girl came out of the kitchen with a tray in her hand. She was adorned in a beautiful pink saree, minimal jewelry and just her natural beauty was making her look angelic. He knows that she did all this saree thing for him and just because he likes, made his love increase 100 times for her.

With her eyes slightly lowered in awkwardness, cheeks red in shyness and smile on her lips due to happiness, Monami slowly walked towards the guests along with Sanju and a few house helps who carried the snacks. Everyone looked at her with a wide smile as her presence filled the whole room with some different beauty, but someone was looking at her without even blinking his eyes. Karan just couldn't stop staring at the ethereal beauty in front of him. He has already seen her in a saree but today, it was special. Today, he was here to mark her his, officially.

As she walked towards everyone, she humbly and gently greeted everyone with a sweet smile, and they too reciprocated it. Serving chai to everyone, Monami also touched Suhasini, Ranjeet and Varsha's feet and as she went near Karan, wide, wicked yet shy smiles were exchanged.

It isn't the first time that they're meeting, obviously but the feeling is very new for both. Meeting as potential finances, that too in front of their families, this isn't an easy task. Their hearts were pounding like never before and their hands were aching to embrace eachother in a tight hug.

Varsha - Monami, tum to bahot hi pyaari lag rahi ho beta!

Barkha - Haan mummyji, bilkul pari jaisi!

Karan (in mind) - Pari nahi Bhabhi, ek dum Rani Sahiba jaisi, meri Rani Sahiba jaisi!

Though Karan didn't have the guts to say it aloud but through his eyes, he definitely conveyed his praising to Monami and the instant blush on her face was enough to tell that she has understood all his words through his eyes. Swarna stood up and made Monami sit beside Karan. She was facing the Shergills but as she was just beside Karan, she could feel his constant gaze upon herself. As the elders got a little engrossed in discussing stuff between themselves, all MoRan were doing was smiling slightly whenever someone looked at them. Seeing that no one's attention is on them, Karan slowly leaned towards Monami's ear and swiftly blew some air on her cheek making her goosebumps arise.

Karan (whispering) - Jaan hi chahiye thi to maang leti na, yu saanse rukwane ki kya zaroorat thi?

These words were enough to make Monami's cheeks turn crimson red. Her body warmed up with these flirtaous words of Karan and right now, all she wished to do was just look at him and hide herself in his comfortable embrace due to being shy. Controlling themselves, both Karan and Monami decided to focus on what is going on between the elders.

Some casual talks involving different cultures, ongoing politics, upcoming cricket match, praising their kids and likes-dislikes along with sips of chai were going on. Soon, it was time for lunch and now everyone's stomachs were growling. After this long journey, Shergills felt hungry as they had almost nothing in breakfast and in excitement of today's day, the Mahajans too didn't had anything.

Avinash - Ranjeet Bhaisahab, yu baatein to hoti rahengi, chaliye chalkar pehle sab lunch kar lete hain.

Swarna - Hanji, dekhiye iss chhoti si gudiya (Baby) ka bhi bhook se muh latak gaya hai.

They all chuckled looking at Baby and agreed to what SwarNash said and in real, all were hungry. As they proceeded towards the lunch table, MoRan who were deliberately made to walk in the end by their dear elders, shared a shy, naughty look.

Monami (whispering) - Karan, aaj humari baat pakki ho jaegi na?

Karan (whispering back) - Bharosa rakho, aaj sab achha hoga!

Suhasini (loudly) - Tum dono ko bhook nahi hai kya? Aao jaldi!

MoRan's conversation was interrupted by Suhasini's calling and they hurriedly went and joined the others but not before smiling wide at each other.

At the lunch table, the dishes were already kept by the house helps. As everyone got seated, Swarna stood up to serve everyone but Monami stood before her.

Monami - Aunty, aap bhi baithiye na, main serve karti hoon.

Swarna just smiled in pride and got seated beside Avinash. Deepak, Sid and Karan, who know Monami more than she knows herself, smirked internally as they know that Monami is not like this. All this chai bringing and lunch serving service is just a tactic to impress the Shergills a little more.

Well, unaware of Monami, the Shergills are already well impressed from her and they know, such tiny acts can't dify ones true character.

As Monami opened the casseroles one by one, the flavourful aroma filled the room. The aroma of the curries, steam of rice, spice of vegetables, just filled in everyone's nostrils and spiked their hunger.

Ranjeet - Lagta hai sab humari hone wali bahurani ne banaya hai?

Monami - Um..sab to nahi uncle, but haan..kuchh-kuchh help to pakka ki hai!

Saying the truth, Monami went ahead and picked up the casserole having kadhi and served it to Suhasini and Barkha. As they looked in their plates, they were surprised to know that Monami knows about their favorites. Ranjeet and Varsha too expected some delicacy but upon receiving pale looking dal with paneer, they were slightly disappointed.

Monami (upon seeing their faces) - Really sorry uncle aunty, but you can't have kadhi. Aap dono abhi puri tarah se theek nahi hue hain. Ek baar ek dum fit and fine ho jaiye, fir jab kahenge tab kadhi banakar khilaungi main aapko.

The concern which Monami showed for Karan's parents, really touched Suhasini, Ranjeet, Varsha and Karan's heart. Karan already knows that Monami has accepted his family as hers but this amount of care and concern was a slight surprise. Hearing Monami, even Deepak felt proud, not only on his daughter but also on the Doctor that he has nurtured.

Going ahead, a special Biryani was served in Karan, Param and Baby's plate which made Baby exclaim with excitement. As Karan had a slight whip of the biryani, the slight hew along with the bright smile was enough to tell that Monami herself made it.

She also helped SwarNash and Sanju with Kadhi and Paneer and Deepak with some dal, while Sid chose to stick with his paneer only. Serving everyone Monami too sat down on the chair, beside Karan and Sanju was about to take the casserole when a mere glare of Karan stopped her. Monami too tried to take the casserole when a hand touched hers and stopped her.

Karan (standing up) - Let me, Rani Sahiba!

Monami just lowered her eyes and allowed him to serve her and it wasn't a surprise for her, that in no time all her favourites were on her plate. She thanked Karan and as he settled, their elders passed a smile to each other looking at their shared respect and compatibility.

Suhasini - Vaise ek baat puchhe, Monami?

Monami - Hanji dadiji, please puchhiye.

Suhasini (slightly confused) - Tumhe hum sabki pasandida cheezein kaise pata? Humne to kabhi iss baare mein nahi bataya tumhe.

Barkha (before Monami could reply) - Zahir si baat hai dadiji, humare chhote sahab ne hi bataya hoga, kyu Karan?

MoRan had no answer to Barkha's question and it would be a lie to say that Karan wasn't the one who told her everyone's favourite dishes a night before. He too doesn't want his Rani Sahiba to lose any brownie points. Just giving a very obvious smile, everyone concentrated on their food and in no time, the rain of praisings started. No one's words were even pausing while praising the food.

In an hour and half, the lunch ended on a good note, and everyone was back in the living room with bowls of ice-cream in their hands. Though Monami and Karan desperately wanted to feed each other first but they know their restrictions. No matter how modern their families are or how amazingly they've understood and accepted their love, still the shyness and respect for them prevails in their eyes and they themselves do not want to be full of PDA in front of their elders.

Deepak (to Ranjeet) - To Bhaisahab, fir..zara vo main baat karle?

Ranjeet - Bilkul Dr. sahab, jis kaam ke liye aaye hain, bus vahi bacha hai. To bataiye, kya faisla hai aapka?

Deepak glanced at Avinash and Swarna once who nodded at him happily and then he looked at his dear daughter who wasn't looking at him but was intently hearing the whole conversation. Her body language and expressions were enough to say how eager she is to be a grown up in all means.

Deepak has already realised and understood how much Karan loves Monami and is very assured that Monami won't be sad in their house even for a second, but that adamant heart of a father who just wants to keep his daughter as his baby girl. Inhaling a deep breath, with slight sadness in his eyes, Deepak looked at Monami again and then at Ranjeet.

Deepak - Dekhiye bhaisahab, mere faisla to vahi hoga jo meri beti ka hoga. Main to Monami ki marzi ke saath hoon.

Haan Haan Haan...

Now everyone's attention shifted towards Monami and all that sudden look of these many pair of eyes made Monami slightly conscious. As Karan realized that he slightly touched his shoulder to hers, making her feel that he's with her and there's nothing to fear about.

Varsha - Batao beta, tumhara kya mann hai? Banogi mere, sorry sorry..apne Karan ki dulhan?!

This is her dream since years! All the years since they've dated, Monami has always dreamt of being his, completely his. And today, when the most important question is kept in front of her, her words aren't ready to come out. All the ladies present there, understood her turmoil as they've also gone through this.

Although, the decision is already made and everyone is very well aware about it but still, they care for her opinion. One side is her and her dream of being his wife and on another side is her father and her desire to remain his sweet little baby girl. She knows that the decision is to be made, and Karan's love and her new family won't let her miss her father. So, with slightly damp lowered eyes and heavily blushing cheeks, Monami nodded her head in a big yes and instant smiles crept on everyone's face.

Everyone stood up feeling elated and happy and started congratulating her. Monami, who couldn't control anymore, rushed swiftly to her father and hugged him tight while the rest adored the beautiful moment.

Deepak (whispering in Monami's ear) - Best decision beta!

And this was it for Monami, with tears, she hugged Deepak even tighter and even Sid, Sanju, Avinash and Swarna joined them.

Suhasini - To ab, bacho ka roka abhi hi karde?

Swarna - Jaisa aap theek samjhe auntyji.

Suhasini smiled and signaled something at Param and Ranjeet and they went outside to get the important things from the car. While Karan was looking at Monami with the feeling of wholesome happiness of finally getting to live the most desired moment, Sanju & Swarna took Monami along with them. MoRan's eye lock didn't break till Monami vanished from Karan's sight, they kept looking at eachother, exchanging the happiness of their hearts.

In about a few minutes, Param and Ranjeet came back from outside with all the things they brought for shagun and Varsha and Barkha started assembling it on the table. Suhasini made Karan sit on the sofa and as Baby realised that some official function is going to happen, her happiness knew no bounds and in utter joy, she jumped on Karan's lap.

Baby (whispering) - Chachu, ab to Dr. Girl ko chachi bula lu na?

Karan (whispering back) - Meri taraf se to full permission hai Baby, aapki to-be chachi ko theek lage, to shauk se bula lena.

Baby giggled at Karan's words and some random discussion started happening in between the Mahajans and Shergills. While all were patiently waiting for Monami, someone was getting impatient by each passing second and again and again, his eyes were glancing at the stairs.

Karan nodded understanding how important is dressing up appropriately for the event is for Monami and in his mind, he made a note that he's always patiently wait for her no matter how long she takes to get ready.

Waiting for 10 more minutes, Karan finally got that golden opportunity. Monami walking down the stairs with Sanju on her one side. The angelic lehenga, just complimented the blush of her cheeks and made her look like the girl of Karan's dreams. With eyes filled with desires of being his, stature getting attracted towards him and with a heart fully belonging to him, Monami descended the stairs and seated beside Karan on the sofa and as the looked at each other, wide smiles crept on their lips as their long pending wish is going to come true and their alliance would be fixed for life.

Monami (whispering) - Finally Khadoos Shergill, ab to aapki permanent booking ho gayi!

Karan (whispering back) - Trust me, I'm waiting since eternity to be owned by you!

With blushy faces, happiness filled hearts and twinkling eyes, MoRan nodded at their elders saying that they can start the respective rituals. Varsha and Barkha stepped ahead with a red chunri in their hand, and both made Monami wear it like a dupatta, with wide smiles on their faces too. Monami's pink lehenga, then the red chunri on top and her beauty, all were just driving Karan crazy and he mentally thanked God for blessing him with such an inside-out beauty. Swarna's eyes became instantly wet seeing Monami sitting with that shagun ki chunri and how quick this little girl has grown up.

Varsha - Nahi nahi maa, aap badi hain..aap hi karengi.

Suhasini was touched by Varsha's words and as she said, she went ahead and was passed a puja ki thali by Barkha and one by one, she did tilak of both Karan and Monami and then revolved the diya in from of them. For taking her blessing, Karan and Monami together touched Suhasini's feet, and she blessed them with all her heart.

Suhasini - Humesha khush raho! Bhagwan humesha tumhari jodi salamat rakhe!

Thanking her for her blessings by huge smiles, Varsha and Ranjeet now came and did the same with both Karan and Monami and then ended their turn with lots of gifts including sweets, clothes and jewellery that they had kept on Monami's lap and with some blessings too.

Ranjeet - Humesha saath rehna bacho!

Hugging his father, Karan sat again besides Monami, exchanging looks of happiness that how far their love has got them. Now Param and Barkha came and did tilak of both, along with the arti and this time, Barkha gave Monami 'god', which is a blessing including coconut, silver coin and shringar items which are presented as a blessing for their future baby.

When Barkha bent to hug and congratulate Monami, she whispered something in Monami's ear which made her burst into a thousand blushes.

Barkha - Ab jaldi se shaadi karna, aur mujhe jaldi-jaldi pyaare-pyaare babies ki badi mummy bana dena! Please haan!

Though Barkha's words weren't audible to anyone but Karan who was just beside Monami, heard Barkha very well and he too blushed at the mentioning of babies, not even a baby.

Then, it was the turn of Monami's family and Deepak came and did tilak of Karan and when he was doing it to Monami, his hand paused as he couldn't believe how fast his daughter has grown up that today, it's her roka and in no time, she's going to be called someone else's.

The tears in his eyes were enough to make Monami emotional but all of Deepak's tears evaporated, when he saw how Karan has held Monami's hand, providing her with his emotional support. Going ahead, Deepak did the tilak and arti and showered MoRan with blessings wholeheartedly.

Deepak - Kabhi ek dusre ka saath mat chhodna! Humesha ek dusre ki himmat bankar rehna!

Monami smiled with tears and hugged her father tight, and the father-daughter duo tried their best to not to shed any tears on such an auspicious and special moment. SwarNash too came and performed the ritual with all the love and blessings and presented both of them, with some gifts. Coming next in line, SidSa came and did the ritual for both and by now, both Monami and Karan's forehand was widely red which was then cleaned and fixed by Sanju.

Sanju - Humara to ab double rishta ho gao hai. Monami humayi Bhabhi aur sirji humaye jijaji!

Sid - Well, Karan sir, ab to aap mujhe jiju bro bolne se nahi rok sakte, otherwise I'll complain to my Monu bro.

Baby - By the way chachi, ab main aapko chachi bula sakti hoon na?!

These three musketeers didn't leave a single chance to tease and make MoRan blush. Their back-to-back statements were a proof that beside MoRan, they were equally eager and excited to get them rokafied. The teasing was so much for Monami that she just used the red dupatta to hide her crimson red cheeks.

Karan saw it and encircled his arm around Monami's shoulder and made her hide her face in his broad chest. Though the elders weren't fine with their closeness, but they too understood that these two have also seen a lot and now it's their right and authority to be close.

Karan - Dare anyone tease my Rani Sahiba!

Param - Oh ho, abhi se itna protective? Not bad haan, chhote!

While Param teased Karan to slightly shock him but here, Karan's smirk shocked Param more. Karan already saw how Barkha was looking at Param when he teased Karan and now Karan knew that Param won't be spared easily.

Barkha (in Param's ear) - Chalo, koi to protective or romantic hai. Unlike you!

Param scrunched his nose at Barkha's words and both Karan & Monami chuckled at his condition. Finding an opportunity, Baby hopped onto Monami's lap and hugged her tightly with all the love and Monami too reciprocated it with all the love and affection.

Baby (hugging Monami) - I love you chachi!

Monami (reciprocating the hug) - I love you too Baby!

Karan (embracing them both) - And I love you both!

Karan just exclaimed so in continuation due to his inexpressible love and the way his heart is pounding with happiness. Monami could easily make out by the excitement in his voice that how happy her Khadoos Shergill is and surely, this man can't wait to get married to her. All the elders there, especially Suhasini, Deepak, Ranjeet and Varsha, were very surprised of how easily kids these days could express and romance in front of their elders.

Ranjeet - O sahabzaade, thodi sharam karlo! Hone wale sasurji, maa-baap, dadi..sab khade hain lekin janaab to pehle ishq farmayenge.

Ranjeet's words were like a sweet scolding and listening to him, Monami herself shifted a bit far from Karan but with her cheeks that grew deep red due to Karan's sudden confession of those three words and others's teasings.

After a whole lot of talks, laughter and some more teasings, the event was meant to come to an end. Though MoRan didn't wanted it too soon, but it had to. Greeting each other once again, Deepak, Swarna and Avinash dropped the Shergills to the door and a little disappointedly, Monami remained at the back as she didn't get to bid them, especially Karan adieu.

Sid (in Monami's ear) - Go to the terrace bro!

This idea of Sid made Monami's eyes twinkle and without wasting any second further, Monami immediately rushed to the terrace and by leaning on the railing, she finally waved at Karan. Seeing Monami before departuring for Deolali was Karan's wish too but obviously he couldn't express it due to Ranjeet's words of asking him to control himself around elders.

With her palm, Monami waved at Karan and once Karan ensured that Suhasini, Ranjeet and Varsha are already seated, he too excitedly waved back at her and even flying kisses were too exchanged. Meanwhile, Param just kept shaking his head in disbelief of his brother and kept receiving glares from his dear wife.

Having the blush still on his face, Karan drove of the car and with the unwavering happiness in their hearts, they both thanked God for destining them with each other and blessing them with the love and togetherness. Now none of them could wait to get married and be each other's forever and ever!
