It was a pleasant morning in Deolali and for two particular people, it was a very special morning of their lives!

Today, Monami is going to live a dream she always dreamt of. Today, she has to go to meet Karan's family. Though she already knows Param, Barkha & Baby very well but today she's going to Karan's house as his official girlfriends or say, fiancé! Also, she is going to meet his Dadiji for the very first time.

For Karan as well, he was very excited deep down but as always, Karan Shergill doesn't show any expressions on his face. Today, he's also going to live a dream every guy dream of. Today, was the day when he was going to introduce his family to his official girlfriend or say, fiancé. He was already in a simple yet classy denim shirt and paired it with ripped jeans. Whereas the happiness on his face was just cherry on top. Monami was getting ready in her room and was getting ready in a royal blue Kurti when Sid barged in her room.

Sid - Oye, chilla mat Moti billi aur ye bata ki subah-subah itni hot banke kidhar?

Monami (shying slightly) - Kya Sid tu bhi, kya 'hot' n all?

Sid - Come out with it now! You know na, tu mujhse kuchh nahi chupa sakti!

Monami nodded being extremely helpless and her cheeks started to heat up a bit on the thought of exposing the sweetest truth.

Monami (excitedly) - Sid...today I'm going to Karan's house to meet his family!

Sid's mouth formed into a an 'O' shape. He excitedly jumped on Monami to hug her and both the BFFs hugged each other tight sharing Monami's happiness.

Sid - Really Monu?! I'm sooo happy for you!!

Monami - Thank you so much, Sid! Main na bahot hi zyada excited hoon but nervous bhi.

Sid (in confusion) - Nervous! Kyu?

Monami just sighed being tensed and went and sat on her bed while keeping her head in her hands. Sid sensed her tension & accompanied her by sitting on the bed beside her.

Sid - Monu, bata na. Kya hua?

Monami - Sid, I already know Param bhaiya, Barkha bhabhi & Baby. But Karan ne bataya tha ki uski family mein Karan ki dadiji bhi hain. And Karan ne mujhe bataya tha ki vo bachpan se unka ladla raha hai...

Sid (interrupting in between) - La..lad..what?!

Monami (in an uninterested tone) - Ladla means Apple of the eye, Sid!

Sid - Oh, continue continue!

Monami (in a crying tone) - Kya continue, Sid!? Mujhe thoda sa dar lag raha hai ki vo mujhe pasand karengi bhi ya nahi.

Sid - Monu...kya tu bhi! Arre, bilkul pasand karengi yaar. Tu itni beautiful hai, pyaari hai, hardworking hai! (Monami smiled hearing him) Haan bus, thodi fattu, thodi buddhu aur...

Monami - Aur?

Sid - Aur...tu ek bahot hi loving human being, daughter, friend or lover hai. And I'm sure tu ek bahot hi achhi daughter-in-law banegi! I believe in you, Monu!

Monami smiled contently and side hugged Sid. She really felt a boost of courage in herself. She determinedly stood up & along with her; Sid too stood up.

Monami - Thank you, Sid! Ab mujhe kuchh khaas dar nahi lag raha. Thanks, himmat dene ke liye!

Sid (with fake anger) - Monu, I'm allergic to 'thank you'.

Monami found Sid's fake angry face extremely cute and started pulling his cheeks. He got annoyed & left her room with a frown. Suddenly, Sanju entered and saw Monami combing her hair standing in front of the mirror. She wasn't surprised seeing Monami all dressed up as she already knows about the reason behind her happiness as Karan has already shared it with Sanju & Faizi.

Sanju - Oh ho, kaha chaldi sawari?

Monami - Tuade sirji de ghar!

Sanju - Ka baat Monami, abhi to Punjabi ke ghar ki bahu bani bhi na aur abhi se hi Punjabi zabaan apna li! Ka baat hai!

Monami's cheeks heated up and she just smiled widely. Sanju came and hugged her congratulating her for starting a very new and underrated phase of life.

Sanju - Monami, hum toe or sirji ke laane bahot khush hain. Magar tu je hi pehen ke jaavegi?

Monami looked at her image that formed in the mirror from head to toe & found herself and her attire appropriate.

Monami - Haan, kuchh kharabi hai kya mere kapdo mein?

Sanju facepalmed her forehead upon seeing Monami's confusion and her answer.

Sanju - Monami, tu Karan sirji ke ghar ja raho hai, unki hone wali biwi bankar. Toe apne hone wale sasural walo par impression jamana hogo! Toe unhe je batana hogo ke tu Karan sirji ke laane best hogo! Jo tu hai..

Monami (innocently) - Vo kaise?

Udte-phirte panchhiyon ke rukh bhi mode

Sanju smiled at Monami and went towards her cupboard and fidgeted with some clothes and again came back to Monami. She came and forwarded a rectangular box covered in red gift-wrapping paper. Monami was confused but still took it, getting convinced by Sanju's assuring expressions.

As Monami opened the gift box, she was amazed to see a pretty saree in it. She looked up at Sanju who was already looking at her with a beautiful smile on her face. 

Monami - Ye kya hai Sanju? Aur kisliye?

Sanju - Je humai taraf se toe laane ek uphaar hai! Aur ye isliye kyuki hum toi bhabhi hain aur...sirji ki behan yani toi nanad bhi! To nanad ka itna hak to banta hai na.

Monami blushed hard as Sanju addressed herself as Monami's nanad. Monami hugged Sanju and hid her face & her blushy cheeks too. Sanju was definitely very happy and smiled widely looking at Monami. She was indeed thankful to her for bringing her 'purane wale sirji' back. The soul sister duo broke the hug and Monami got busy in getting ready and Sanju too got involved in helping her.

Soon, Monami was completely ready with Sanju's help in the pretty saree being beautifully draped around her goddess figure. Her doey eyes outlined with black Kohl making them look bold, her cheeks highlighted with punch of bronze highlighter and her caramel hair were left open and her bangs which were resting on her forehead were giving her a cute look. Her neck was decorated with a beautiful locket with MoRan's initials, M & K!

Monami's waist was also surrounded by a narrow golden Kamarbandh. Small earrings were dropped in her ear, completing her look.

Sanju - Tu ek dum kamaal lag raho hai, Monami!

Monami - Thank you so much for your help! Tum nahi hoti to main kabhi-bhi saree na pehen pati!

Sanju - Hone wali nanad ko koi 'thank you' bolto hai ka?

Monami & Sanju chuckled on their exchange of gratitude.

Monami (with a pout) - Abhi Koel bhi hoti to kitna maza aata na?

Sanju - Haan, magar use Nikhil ke school mein jana padgao na. Achha, ab tu jaldi ja, aur kitna intezar karvayegi humae sirji ko?!

Monami nodded understanding the point of Koel's visit to Nikhil's school. Sanju hugged and bid Monami a goodbye and Monami walked off towards the gate of the academy.

Monami who was running consciously due to the pair of heels, could see Karan standing with a bored frown on his face. She got that she's extremely late as Karan asked her to be ready by 8am and now, it's already 9am!

She accelerated her speed and being not much experienced of wearing a saree, she tripped due to the folds and heels. She closed her eyes as she thought that now she's definitely going to hit the ground but when she didn't feel any hard thing getting in touch, she opened her eyes just to witness the most deep and passionate orbs in front of her.

She saw the love of her life holding her carefully in his arms just above the ground. They both stared into each other's eyes and got lost for a moment. But soon being tied by time, Karan made Monami stand straight on her feet and Monami just flung in his arms. He carefully encircled his arms around her figure. They felt eachother's warmth by their skin and were definitely feeling were special.

Karan - Kya hua, Rani Sahiba?

Monami (still being in the hug) - Kuchh nahi, Karan.

Karan - You know na, you're a very bad liar?! Come on, come out with it, now!

Monami sighed accepting her defeat and parted from the hug. She turned around & stood back facing Karan making him scrunch his eyebrows in confusion. She was unable to express what she's feeling right now. Karan understood her turmoil and came in front of her. He very gently cupped her face and made her look into his eyes.

Karan - Monami, batao na. Kya hua? Kyu aise nazre chura rahi ho mujhse?

Monami lowered her lashes and decided to say what she felt.

Monami - Ka..Karan, vo actually...

Karan - Actually...?

Monami - Actually... mujhe na dil mein bahot dhak-dhak ho rahi hai! Aisa lag raha hai jaise mera dil abhi mere muh se bahar aa jaega.

Monami expressed what she felt while pouting her lips. Karan just wanted to peck them once but controlled himself as for the time being, he wants to concentrate on solving her problem first.

Karan - Kyu?!

Monami - Karan, aaj main tumhari family se pehli baar milungi, as your 'official girlfriend'! Pata nahi pasand bhi aaungi ya nahi!

Karan - Bus itni si baat?

Monami - Tumhe ye itni si baat lagti hai?!

Karan - Rani Sahiba, aap already Bhaiya, Bhabhi or Baby se to mil hi chuki hain and bahot zyada pasand bhi aa gayi hain! Aur jaha tak baat rahi Dadiji ki, to I'm sure aap unhe ye prove kar hi dengi ki Khadoos Shergill ke liye sirf uski Rani Sahiba hi best hai!

Monami felt blessed to hear Karan's words and hugged him tight as somewhat her issue was resolved. They both remained in the hug for a while and then decided to depart for Karan's house. Karan opened his car's gate for her and once he insured that she's comfortably seated, he too came and sat on the driver's seat.

Monami (with a pout) - Vaise aaj tumne na mujhe notice kiya or na hi meri tareef Kari! Abhi to shaadi hui bhi nahi aur tum itna badal gaye!

This time, Karan couldn't control and pecked her lips making a pinkish hew form on her cheeks.

Karan (huskily) - Rani Sahiba, bhagwaan ne aisa koi pal nahi banaya jab aapka ye deewana aapko notice na kare! Vo to bus aapki problem solve karni thi isliye kuchh kaha nahi. Aap kahe to aapki khidmat mein do lafz pesh karein?!

Monami - Kya baat hai! Khadoos Shergill and shayri, impressive! Irshaad Irshaad!

Karan - आंख नाज़ुक सी कलियां,
बात मिस्त्री कि डालियां।
तेरी खातिर फरिश्ते सर पे इलज़ाम लेंगे,
जब जब होगी हुस्न कि बात...सब सिर्फ तेरा नाम लेंगे।।

Monami looked at Karan with her eyes wide open. She was actually very impressed with this new found talent if her Khadoos Shergill. Karan who didn't got any answer despite of waiting for a few minutes, was now getting impatient to know what are Monami's thoughts on this shayari.

Karan (with a cute face) - Kya hua, Rani Sahiba? Achhi nahi lagi kya?

Monami was in 'Aww' looking at Karan's cute puppy face and pulled his cheeks hard making him wince.

Monami - You are so cute, Khadoos Shergill! Pasand nahi bahot zyada pasand aayi!

Karan smiled in satisfaction and adored her smile.

Monami (in a panic tone) - Karan! Jaldi chola na! Already 9 baj gaye hain!!

Karan wanted to laugh looking at Monami's panicking condition and finally, laughed out as he couldn't control anymore.

Karan - Hahaha!!! So..Sorry Rani Sa..hiba..haha!

Monami - Kya ho gaya Karan, aise has kyu rahe ho? Late hone ki wajah se sadma to nahi lag gaya na?!

Karan somehow controlled his laughter and wiped off the tears which came due to laughing hard.

Karan - I'm sorry, Rani Sahiba! Mujhe pehle hi pata tha ki aap late hone wali hain, to maine already aapko 1 ghanta kam bataya tha. Bhabhi ne hume 10 baje ghar par bulaya hai. (While laughing) I'm s..orry!

Monami - Haww! You Khadoos!

Monami started hitting him lightly on his chest and arms by her fists.

Karan (acting) - Aaya! Mat maaro yaar!

Monami (while hitting) - Jhoot bologe, mujhse jhoot bologe!

Having enough of her slight beatings, Karan held both of her hands by her wrists in air and held them firmly.

Karan (cutely) - Sorry mere hone wale bachon ki mumma! Papa is very sorry!

Monami tried hard to not to smile but couldn't resist the cutie in front of her and smiled while blushing. She pulled Karan closer holding the collar of his shirt making him surprised.

Monami (flirtingly) - By God, shaadi ke baad iss line ko sach kare bina tumhe kahi jane nahi dungi!

Karan was quite surprised by this bold avatar of his Rani Sahiba and decided to give in. He pulled her closer by her waist and leaned towards her ear.

Karan (huskily) - Aapko to kafi jaldi hai, Rani Sahiba! Aur commando hone ke naate slow to main bhi nahi hoon. Kahi aisa na ho ki humare ghar pahunchne se pehle hi dadi ke pardadi banne ki good news hi na pahunch jaye!

Monami shut her eyes tightly with her cheeks fully red and heated. She pushed Karan receiving a chuckle from him and faced towards the window. Right now, she was blushing hard while covering her mouth from her palm. Karan observed her antics for a while & decided to start the car as she'll definitely take some time to process what Karan said and eventually, they were off to Shergill house!
