Mumbo's Perspective-

"Mumbo, how's the theatre page going?" Mr. Raymond asked.

"I'm going in during tech week for pictures." Mumbo said. "More of them on stage and in costume."

Mr. Ray nodded and hummed, glancing around at his other students. His eyes landed on Pix, and he snapped.

"Pix, you're done with your page, right?"

Pix nodded.

"Do you mind doing the pictures at homecoming?" Mr. Ray asked. "You don't need a lot maybe one or two. It's for that event page that the school always wants to do with prom and such." He waved his hand dismissively and Pix nodded.

"Sure, do you know when it is?"

"Next week."

Pix blinked and Mr. Ray chuckled.

"It's on the eighth; Friday next week." He said and Pix wrote it down in his planner.

Mumbo sighed after hearing about the dance coming up.

He wasn't going to go and make the excuse that he had to rest this weekend in order to prepare his body for tech week where he'd have to stay up late running around and getting pictures of the theatre students.

However, Scar had heard enough.

"Come on, you never go!" Scar whined and Mumbo sighed as he sat next to him at lunch.

"I'm a senior, this is my last homecoming, you gotta go." Scar said and Mumbo shrugged.

"It's just not my thing. Besides, I gotta rest to- "

"Prepare for tech week? Then how come I'm going?" Scar smirked and Mumbo glared at him.

"Scar, we all know you're insane."

"And full of great ideas. Like the idea of you going to the dance."

Mumbo groaned and Scar grinned.

"Fine." Mumbo sighed and Scar fist bumped the air.

"Trust me, it's not as bad as you think." Scar reassured.

"You know I hated every minute you made me sit through High School Musical." Mumbo snapped.

"And High School Musical 2, and High School Musical 3, and High School Musical the Musical the Series." Scar listed and Mumbo rolled his eyes.

"THOSE WERE GOOD MOVIES!" Scar shouted, his face red.

"Yeah, they were just as good as Teen Beach Movie and Teen Beach Movie 2." Mumbo said sarcastically.

"They capture the perfect essence of high school." Scar said dramatically.

"I've never had a dance scene at this place in my life." Mumbo chuckled. "Nor have I seen the bullies suddenly have some sort of My Little Pony moment."

"That's why you're going to homecoming! The reason you haven't seen one yet is cause you haven't gone to school dances."

Mumbo grumbled and Scar smirked.

"Too late now, you already agreed to go with me." Scar wrapped his arm around him and Mumbo sighed.

"Fine, but I'll mostly be there to bother my other friend who's taking pictures."

Scar gasped, his eyes sparkling.

"I'm so photobombing them."

"Scar- no!" Mumbo laughed, "We need these for the book!"

"I'd look great!" Scar smirked and Mumbo chuckled, rolling his eyes.
