I blinked a few times, making sure that I wasn't hallucinating. The same doe brown eyes filled with childlike mischief. The exact same smile that made my heart skip a beat. She was still chewing on her lip, just as she always did. 

It can't be her, she disappeared...

"Disha?" I croaked and she winced, I noted her outfit. She was dressed as a waitress. Her cheekbones were sunken and she seemed exhausted.

"Why are you dressed like that?" I gestured and ignored the curious looks from my teammates.

"None of your business," She responded harshly, and I realized how rude my question sounded.

"Disha, sorry I phrased that wrong-" I started to apologize but she rolled her eyes.

"Haven't changed one bit, still the exact same smug attitude." She muttered under her breath, and that triggered me. She was the one who started our argument, not me.

"Be glad your dad can't see his precious daughter going around looking like that," I retorted stingingly, the stubborn light in her eyes dimmed. Her face transformed into a blank expression. I'd definitely hit a nerve. 

Shit!

Disha and I had argued right before the finals, I had even been planning to confess that I liked her. But that fateful day changed everything.

"Disha, I'm sorry--" I started but she'd already left, shoving her notepad to some random blonde dude. 

"Give me a second," I turned to my confused team and rushed off toward where I saw her. She blinked away her tears and was sitting at the foot of some stairs.

"Hey, Babli," I mumbled, using her nickname.

"Go away..." She sighed and quickly wiped her tears.

"Disha, I'm sorry--" I started once more but was cut off by a sigh.

"Sorry's not going to cut it," She responded harshly and I winced. She stood up and marched away.
