Chapter 15
Disha's PoV
***
Shit, shit, oh, and did I say "shit"?
I nibbled on my nails repeatedly, glancing out at the window for the thousandth time. My father still stood there, holding up a giant sign that read, 'I'm sorry Disha'. I groaned, and Arjun Chopra snickered at my misery. "Gods, this is gold!"
"I called you to comfort me, you asshole!" I snapped at him, he sat there comfortably on his couch in India while grinning at me through facetime. "I did that for the first two hours," He shrugged, his dimpled face grinned wider and wider as he glanced at my obviously ticked-off face.
"Smh, you have horrible taste in men." He added casually, "First Rishabh, the so-called traitor, then Akash."
"And you've been blessed with an 'amazing' dad too." He finished off his taunt, and glanced at me. "But Isha, my offer still stands. I can fly over there if you need me to."
"Bipolar much?" I snorted, huffing and crossing my arms in front of my chest. "First you insult me, then you be the stand-up guy and say something sweet."
"That's me, the bipolar psycho." He threw his head back and laughed.
Definitely pschyo
"Oooh! Is that your girlfriend?" A new voice called out from behind Arjun, I caught glimpse of a girl in a white coat. Arjun whirled around like a startled cat, and glared. His ears turning red, as he blushed profusely. "No! Deeps, go away!" He barked at the girl, she snickered and stole the phone away from him. "Hi! I'm Deepika."
She paused, inspecting me as I did the same for her. She had sharp cheek bones, and bright eyes. Her skin the color of milk, and a petite figure. "Arjun, do you never clean your phone? It's so dirty."
She grumbled, and wiped the phone, peering closer at me as Arjun huffed obnoxiously. "Ohmygods!" She squealed, then paused and glanced at Arjun. Her nose crinkled as she spoke, "Your too good for him."
My gaze landed on her red nose, she's been crying
"Ah, a fellow depressed person." Deepika nodded solemnly, my face must have been startled because she took a breath to explain herself, "Your eyes are so puffy that they can pass off as pillows."
"That'd be one weird pillow." Arjun added snarkily, Deepika and I spoke in unison, "Shut up, Arjun."
"Damn it, there's two of them now." He let out a groan. A smile played on my lips, the first once since three hours. It went away as quickly as it came when I heard a scream.
My eyes flitted to the window and widened in horror.
A man laid on the ground, blood pooling around him. A sign laid beside him, drenched in blood.
"Papa?"
