Chapter 10
Shubman PoV (Just to change stuff up)
The person who entered seemed bored, I frowned slightly. Rishabh seemed to know him, his fists were clenched together so tight that his knuckles were turning white. I slipped my hand into my pocket, pulling out my phone. My fingertips moved quickly over the keypad as I typed up "SOS" in the Cricket Group Chat. I let my thumb hover over the send button, if this guy was trouble, I had people with cricket bats as back-up.
"Akash," Rishabh attempted to level himself, 'Akash' raised cocked an eyebrow. "Rishabh."
The silence was deafening, I almost expected the both of them to pull out a cowboy hat and start dueling with guns. Disha stirred slightly letting out a groan. Akash's gaze flitted to her.
"What's wrong with her?" He grunted quite coldly, but I noticed that look in his eyes. Somewhat caring, in his own demonic way.
"She passed out," Rishabh hovered near the sleeping girl protectively, "Hunger and over-working herself without rest."
Akash glanced at the damsel, and noted that she was wearing a jacket that was most certainly not her's. His gaze flicked back to Rishabh, "Don't cross the line."
Rishabh placed his hands into his pocket's, tilting his chin, giving himself a superior look. "Then take better care of her."
Akash's hand shot out and grabbed Rishabh's collar, I pressed the send button on the text and stepped forward to intervene, "What did you just say to me?"
"Take better care of her, dipshit." Rishabh spat, unphased by the taller guy.
Gods, why am I friend's with this potato?
"This isn't your business," Akash hissed right back, both of their gazes spewing curses at each other.
What a lovely friendship, I thought to myself.
"Yes, it is." Rishabh snapped right back, "You pinned the blame on me, You turned her against me. And here you are standing here as her 'caring boyfriend', wouldn't Disha loved to know this?"
"Even if you do tell her," Akash smirked, dropping Rishabh's collar and made a show of fixing it. His smile dripping with malice, "Which by all means, go ahead.
He leaned towards Rishabh, and grinned, "Who do you think she'll believe?"
Rishabh was about to right-hook punch that guy, I stepped forward grabbing his fist before it could contact the cocky bastard. But I reached out just as his fist made contact with Akash's jaw. I heard a grunt of pain from him as I saw droplets of blood, I was about to yell at Rishabh when I noticed something.
Tears brimming Disha's eyes as she watched.
She'd been awake during this whole conversation.
She's heard everything.
