Mazikeen was in her room working on the last touches for the Autobots shields, she gave one to Ratchet and Jolt already so they could test it out. She also already gave one to Sunstreaker and Sideswipe, Ironhide, the Arcee triplets, and just gave the one she made to Ironhide. She was finishing up the ones she was making for Jazz, Optimus, and Bumblebee. She groaned as something sparked, 

"Oh, you stupid mother fragging piece of scrap!"

Jazz walked in at that exact moment and winced, 

"Lil M, you okay?"

Mazikeen sighed and glanced at him quickly, 

"I just need to finish this...I've been working on it for a long time now,"

Jazz walked up to her and put his hand on her shoulder, 

"And you finished most of them! Ironhide was just bragging about it to those devil twins,"

Mazikeen chuckled and sighed, 

"I have to talk to those two again...I need them on their best behavior,"

Jazz sighed and sat down on the floor, 

"Yeah...Prime and I just talked to them again, they said they will,"

Mazikeen nodded, 

"Thank you,"

Jazz nodded, 

"So, are you going to sleep anytime soon?"

Mazikeen sighed and shook her head, 

"I...I just need to finish...I got this bad feeling, do you feel anything?"

Jazz frowned and shrugged, 

"A little bit? Not really,"

Mazikeen sighed and shrugged, 

"Might only be a human thing, then,"

Jazz shook his head, 

"No, we all felt something bad was about to happen when you left for LA with Eddie,"

Mazikeen glanced at him, 

"And you didn't stop me?"

Jazz crossed his arms, 

"Prime wouldn't let me and neither would Will,"

Mazikeen laughed and smiled at him, 

"Don't worry about me, Jazz, I can handle myself,"

Jazz sighed, 

"I know I know. But, I am still your guardian,"

Mazikeen nodded, 

"I know, and you help me by sleeping in here now!"

Jazz laughed, 

"Yeah, I can still see the look on Sunstreaker's face when he walked in that one time,"

Mazikeen laughed, 

"Don't forget Sides coming right after him and screaming,"

Jazz laughed and nodded his head, 

"It was as if we were doing something wrong, and not just recharging,"

Mazikeen sighed, 

"Those two are so dramatic,"

Jazz laughed and nodded, 

"That they are,"

Jazz watched as Mazikeen kept working on her inventions and he felt his spark tug at the thought of her creating them to keep everyone safe. Mazikeen dropped her wrench as she felt a tug at her heart, 

"J-Jazz,"

Jazz immediately stood up and put a hand on her shoulder, 

"What is it? What's wrong?"

Mazikeen shook her head, 

"I-I don't kn-know,"

She closed her eyes for a second and knew immediately who it was that was injured. She sprung off the seat, took out Phoenix and put it on, 

"TEX!"

Jazz immediately made his hologram disappear and his alt-mode immediately took off after the flying suit of armor. That was when the alarms went off. Mazikeen flew by as fast as she could with Jazz keeping up just behind her. She heard over her comms Will yelling, 

"Everyone! The tower is under attack! Arm yourself and get over there! We have to protect the All Spark Shard for the Autobots!"

Mazikeen spoke, 

"Will! I'm heading there right now with Phoenix!"

"What?! You aren't supposed to be using Phoenix!"

"No one here is a snitch!"

"Fine, just be careful,"

"I will, I have Jazz following behind me and the Sides and Sun are almost here too,"

"Okay,"

Mazikeen finally got to the tower to see a Decepticon in the shape of a cat, 

Its face had blood on it and she saw it was holding something in its servo, 

"HEY! UGLY!"

Mazikeen immediately started shooting at it and landed right in front of it as it growled at her, 

"Drop it kitty cat!"

Ravage leaped at her and Mazikeen jumped to the side and shot at it more. Mazikeen got distracted when she heard a yell for help and she turned to look for the injured person and Ravage jumped at her. Mazikeen screamed as she felt the claws dig into her arm and immediately took flight which got Ravage to let go of her arm. She clutched it and winced before shooting at the Decepticon again. Then Jazz pulled up and transformed, 

"DROP THE ALL SPARK SHARD!"

Ravage growled again before starting to run. Jazz tried his best to follow the Decepticon but lost track of it, 

"No,"

He quickly ran back and found most of the other Autobots and a squad of soldiers surrounding the tower to get the injured out. Will spotted him first, 

"Jazz! Did you find the Con?"

Jazz sighed and shook his head, 

"The fragger disappeared, I don't know how it got here,"

Will sighed, 

"None of us do...and we don't know how they found out about the shard,"

Jazz nodded and looked around at the destruction and sighed, 

"We weren't prepared for this,"

Epps shook his head, 

"We were. That was one small Decepticon, it wanted to run out of here. I think our response time was pretty quick,"

Eddie nodded his head, 

"No casualties."

Jazz tilted his head, 

"None?"

One of the soldiers that Eddie was tending to nodded, 

"Yeah! Tex got us covered, he got all of us through that fight safely until Captain Mazikeen came,"

Eddie frowned, 

"Wait...where is Maz?!"

Sunstreaker sighed, 

"I think in a tree,"

Sideswipe nodded, 

"Yeah, we saw her fly over some,"

Will sighed, 

"Can you two go find her?"

Sunstreaker nodded, 

"Yeah, on it,"

Sideswipe nodded, 

"We will get her to come over here,"

Will nodded, 

"Thank you,"

Jazz looked down at the soldier, 

"And, where is Tex?"

The soldier smiled, 

"He is right over there,"

He pointed and Jazz sighed in relief when he saw the tiny Cybertronian talking animatedly to one of the soldiers and Phillip. 

𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐰𝐢𝐩𝐞

Sunstreaker and Sideswipe walked over to the tree that they knew Mazikeen was on, 

"Aero, come down,"

"No,"

"Don't make us tear down this tree,"

"Leave me alone,"

"Aero,"

"No,"

Sunstreaker sighed and started pushing at the tree, Mazikeen yelped as she fell off the branch and was caught by Sideswipe. Mazikeen sighed and let Phoenix come off of her. She put the device back into her pocket and felt the concern that they had for her. Sunstreaker sighed and put his digit on her head, 

"Aero...look at us,"

Mazikeen slowly looked up and at her two brothers,

"Yeah?"

Sideswipe glanced at her arm, 

"You do realize that you are bleeding pretty bad, right?"

Mazikeen shrugged with a wince, 

"So?"

Sunstreaker growled, 

"Aero,"

Mazikeen winced at his tone. Sideswipe put his servo on his brother's chassis and looked down at Mazikeen in his servo, 

"Aero...we care about you...we are worried,"

Mazikeen sat down in his servo and sighed, 

"That's all anyone's been saying to me lately. I am fucking fine! Look. I don't need anyone worrying about me! I am fine."

Sunstreaker shook his head, 

"You can't lie to us. You might be able to lie to yourself, but not to us. You are overworking yourself again. You are worried about what will happen if we were forced to leave,"

Mazikeen let some tears fall as she quickly wiped them away, 

"Of fragging course I am! You all are my family too! You are my brothers for Primus's sake! I can't lose you...I'm not ready,"

Sideswipe sighed and brought her closer to their faces, 

"Aero, you will always be our sister, no matter what. You will never lose us,"

Mazikeen sighed and nodded, 

"Okay...but...the shard is gone...what are we going to do?"

Sunstreaker smirked, 

"We will figure it out like we always do,"

Mazikeen sighed and nodded, 

"Okay okay...let's just go to the others...is Tex okay?"

Sideswipe laughed, 

"You do realize that you would know better than us?"

Mazikeen rolled her eyes, 

"Shut up, Sides,"

Sunstreaker smirked, 

"He's not wrong, he is your son,"

Mazikeen rolled her eyes, 

"I will leave this servo,"

Sideswipe laughed and shrugged, 

"Your choice,"

Mazikeen rolled her eyes and they finally got back to the clearing. Mazikeen winced at the destruction of the tower, 

"This...this is all my fault,"

Sunstreaker immediately narrowed his optics at her, 

"No, it is not,"

Mazikeen sighed and just kept silent as they got closer to the group. Will looked up and gasped as he saw Mazikeen, 

"Mynx!"

Sideswipe put her down and Will immediately pulled her into a tight hug,

"We will figure this out,"

Mazikeen simply nodded and Eddie immediately saw the blood on her arm, 

"Maz,"

Mazikeen smiled nervously at him, 

"Sup,"

Eddie sighed, 

"You are keeping me in business the rest of my life,"

Mazikeen shrugged,

"I know you wouldn't have it any other way,"

Eddie sighed, 

"I would personally prefer if I didn't have to patch you up so often,"

Mazikeen shrugged again and Eddie quickly wrapped her arm, 

"You need to go see Ratchet for stitches, how did that happen?"

"The claws penetrated Phoenix,"

That caused her friends to immediately stop and stare at her in shock. Phillip was the first to speak, 

"Phoenix. The fucking suit that's just like Iron Man's suit. Got compromised by a Decepticon's claws?"

"We are talking about the same suit that should be able to withstand bullets, right?"

Mazikeen shrugged, 

"Yeah, I have to fix her up,"

Will shared a look with Epps and Eddie before putting his hand on Mazikeen's shoulder, 

"Okay, come with me...Jazz update Prime and get everyone back to base in one piece,"

Jazz wanted to argue but nodded, 

"Okay, Lennox,"

Will and Epps walked away with Mazikeen. The three walked in silence until they were sure no one would hear. Epps sighed, 

"What's on your mind, kid?"

Mazikeen sighed and looked down at her feet, 

"I...I don't know what to fucking do. They stole the shard! That was the deal with Optimus and the President...and now that we don't have the shard, there is nothing the Army has to 'control' the Autobots. I failed. I was right fucking there! I let the Con get away with the shard!"

Will stopped and put his hands on Mazikeen's shoulders, 

"Maze. You did not fail! You were the quickest one here! The shard is just that. A shard. We just need to try to show the President that we all share the same goal with the Autobots. To defeat all of the Cons."

Mazikeen just nodded her head and kept looking down. Epps sighed, 

"Maze,"

She looked at the two and Epps smiled at her, 

"We are going to figure it out, we won't let them take the Autobots away from us,"

"But...we can't stop them,"

Will smirked, 

"Sure, it's not as if we have a kid genius in our midst,"

Mazikeen laughed,

"Just because I started inventing young does not mean I'm a kid genius,"

Epps rolled his eyes, 

"Surrre, let's go with that,"

Mazikeen laughed and pulled the two into a hug, 

"Thank you,"

"That's what a family is for,"

"I don't know how many times we gotta say it, we will always have your back, Mynx,"

"And I'll always have yours,"
