When they finally got to Hoover Dam, Sarah immediately stopped the car and grabbed Annabel from her car seat and triple checked her for any wounds and was thankful to find none, just the smile on her daughter's face. She then ran to the passenger side and opened the car door and glared at Mazikeen as she slowly got out, 

"I told you to be careful getting out,"

Mazikeen coughed,

"It's fine,"

Sarah sighed and looked at her armor, 

"Okay, I think it would be a good idea to get Phoenix off,"

Mazikeen sighed and slowly nodded, 

"Okay okay,"

She pressed something on her right chest and the suit immediately retracted off of her. She immediately collapsed to the floor as she felt pain abrupt throughout her body, 

"MAZIKEEN!"

Sarah immediately knelt down and put Mazikeen's arm around her shoulder to support the woman, Mazikeen sighed, 

"Well...that's not good,"

Sarah glared at her,

"What made you think that?"

Mazikeen sighed, 

"I'm sorry for worrying you, Sarah,"

Sarah sighed as the two slowly started walking to get inside, 

"I always will, no matter what...I always did, with Will and you now,"

Mazikeen sighed and coughed into her sleeve, 

"Yeah, I get that,"

Sarah glanced at her, 

"How much longer can you hold on?"

Mazikeen winked at her, 

"As long as I can...I'll just keep quiet now,"

"A wise choice...No using Phoenix until you are ACTUALLY healed, though, got it?"

Mazikeen nodded, 

"Loud and clear,"

Sarah sighed, and they finally walked into the building to be immediately met with soldiers, 

"Sorry, this place is closed off to civilians,"

Mazikeen winced as she felt Sarah glare at the soldiers, 

"You listen here. Can you not see that we need medical attention?"

The soldiers glanced at Mazikeen,

"The hospital."

Sarah shook her head, 

"We need to see Ratchet!"

The soldier's eyes widened in shock that she knew the medic of the Autobots by name. They spoke into a radio and nodded at the three, 

"Follow us,"

Sarah nodded and slowly followed behind them until she felt Mazikeen put more weight on her. She looked at Mazikeen with concern as she saw her eyes start drooping, 

"Can't we go faster?! She needs medical attention right now!"

The soldiers looked at her, 

"You should have gone to the hospital lady,"

Mazikeen glared at the two, 

"I'm sorry. Did we stutter? I need Ratchet."

The two men looked at the rage in her blue eyes and slowly nodded. Sarah glanced at Mazikeen again, 

"Maze?"

Mazikeen glanced at Sarah and nodded, 

"I'm...fine,"

The soldiers looked at her again and saw her eyes start glazing over and immediately spoke into their radio, 

"Sir! We need medical now! We aren't going to make it to the medical bay!"

What was ironic was William Lennox was on the other side of the radio, and he turned to Ratchet with a sigh, 

"Can you please go meet them in the hallway? I know I know, but they seem to be getting desperate,"

Ratchet glared and sighed, 

"I don't know why you humans would think I am needed for medical reasons on you,"

Will shrugged, 

"Apparently these people came from outside and asked for you specifically,"

Ratched grumbled before transforming and immediately driving away with Will staying there. Once Ratchet caught sight of the five people, he noticed one person. She stuck out like a sore thumb, being the only one leaning heavily on a blonde woman who seemed to be the only thing standing between her and the ground. Ratchet immediately screeched to a stop and transformed, 

"By the All Spark! Mazikeen!"

Mazikeen slowly glanced up and smiled at him, raising her left arm in greeting, 

"What's up Ratchet?"

Ratchet immediately put his servo down for the three guests to climb onto it. Sarah immediately helped Mazikeen onto it and looked at him in pure concern, 

"You have to help her,"

Ratchet nodded his head, 

"I will do my very best,"

Ratchet immediately ran to the medical bay, and Will looked up and gasped when he saw the three familiar people in Ratchet's servo. Ratchet put Sarah and Annabel down next to Will before setting Mazikeen down on a bed so he can work on her. Will immediately hugged Sarah after getting over his shock,

"Sarah,"

Sarah let some tears fall from her eyes,

"Will,"

Mazikeen coughed,

"Mazikeen,"

Ratchet glared at the young woman,

"By the all spark femme if you do not keep quiet when I'm working on you,"

Mazikeen smiled weakly at him,

"Come on Ratchet, you may not know me b-"

She started coughing again, and Sarah immediately looked at her,

"Ratchet, can I be right by her? I treated her as best as I could when I found her,"

Ratchet sighed and nodded. Sarah immediately gave Annabel to Will as he smiled softly at his young daughter before Ratchet transferred Sarah to right next to Mazikeen. Sarah immediately ran to the woman and knelt down,

"Did you scan her yet?"

Ratchet immediately emitted a green scan from his arm and gasped,

"Mazikeen Witwicky!"

Mazikeen winced,

"Yes?"

"HOW THE FRAG DID YOU BREAK ALMOST EVERY BONE IN YOUR LEFT WRIST?"

Mazikeen winced, and Sarah glared at her,

"Um...I might have possibly landed on it when I fell...Well actually I think I sprained it in the fight against Starscream, but I think I landed on it possibly before Sarah got to me I just remember a loud crack sound...but that might have been just me falling, then it started hurting a lot when I was shooting at Barricade a while ago,"

"WHAAAAT?!!!!!"

Sarah and Mazikeen winced at how loud the bot and father were. Ratchet glared at Mazikeen,

"You are telling me. That you used your left hand to shoot a gun? WHEN YOU WERE INJURED??? Wait actually. YOU WERE FIGHTING WITH THESE INJURIES?!"

Mazikeen winced at the pissed-off mech. Then they heard a commotion outside and turned to see everyone running in, following after Rover, who was faster than Mazikeen had ever seen. Ratchet threw a wrench that narrowly missed Bumblebee's head,

"MAZIKEEN MICHELA WITWICKY!"

Mazikeen winced as she glanced at her younger brother in his guardian's servo and Rover was quick to climb onto the bed and sat next to Sarah. Mazikeen smiled nervously at Sam

"Sammy, please one at a time. Ratchet is already yelling at me,"

Bumblebee immediately put Samuel on the table, and he ran to his sister. Sarah immediately stopped him before he could touch her and he glanced at the woman stopping him from hugging his sister,

"That's my older sister there, let me see her,"

Mazikeen almost raised her hand before Ratchet glared at her,

"You better lay that arm right back down Mazikeen,"

Mazikeen sighed,

"You guys are being so formal right now. Sammy, I'm sorry,"

Sam sighed and ruffled his hair,

"Maze, why?" 

That was the one answer that all of the Autobots wanted to know; Sam was the one that they first actually met and interacted with, and sure, they were roughly introduced to her and her comrades before the battle, but that was so brief, so why would she sacrifice her life to save them? Strange beings that she barely knows, why would she want to help them by going that far? Mazikeen sighed and smiled softly at the curios faces that she saw,

"I knew from the second I saw you in that room, after five years, that I would never let anyone hurt you, Sammy. Hell, I knew the second I held you for the first time that I would never let anyone hurt you. You can ask Will and everyone on our team, no man gets left behind, and I live by that. Do you really think I would let you do something risky like sticking that cube in Megatron's chest? Without me fully knowing the consequences? Sammy, I know I haven't been around for a while because I have been deployed on and off for the past five years. But you are still my baby brother, and I will always protect you, no matter what."

Sam let a few tears slip,

"Y-You said goodbye,"

Mazikeen sighed and looked at him,

"I wasn't sure if I was going to make it,"

Sammy glanced at his hands, 

"I watched the holo-diary,"

Mazikeen winced and sighed, she glanced at Rover and he nodded at her and nudged Sam over to her. Mazikeen lifted her right hand and held his,

"I know, and I'm sorry Sammy...but now, we can get some catching up while Ratchet scorns me every single second of the day,"

Sam smiled sadly and let go of her hand with a small nod, 

"Okay,"

Will sighed, and everyone looked at him and frowned when they saw the expression on his face,

"Mynx. You can't do that to us again, Bobby, Fig, and I...we knew the second you contacted us through Phoenix what you were thinking. Hell, I suspected something the second you handed me your bag. We didn't say goodbye because we didn't want to believe that you were gonna leave. We did have a send off for you...but we hoped against all odds the past week that somehow...that somehow Phoenix was programmed with a surprise that none of us knew. That you did not know yourself, but we hoped that a part of you knew because what you did was a suicide mission."

Mazikeen looked down at her hands again and sighed,

"I uh...I didn't know what to expect when I got Phoenix on. I half expected Phoenix to explode when I put it on because it's still a work in progress as we know. It took a second to remember what happened before I woke up at your home, Will. I don't know how it happened. But I ended up teleporting into the sky by your house. Sarah saw me falling and heard me crash. You should really talk to her about running after crashes, by the way, Will. But Yeah...I'm here, still alive,"

Ratchet glared at her,

"AND OPENING UP WOUNDS!"

Mazikeen winced and smiled nervously at him,

"Hey! I patched up the biggest one-"

Sarah glared at her,

"You mean, I did,"

Mazikeen nodded,

"Yeah, Sarah did,"

Ratchet looked closely at Mazikeen and frowned in confusion,

"What is on your torso? I thought my scans picked up something from your weird metal suit, but it appears to be something else that was there,"

William gasped,

"You did not,"

Sarah looked at him,

"What?"

William sighed and face palmed,

"You are telling me. That after we used the spray on you, you opened it back up...which means it was not fully functional! AND! That was a second one?!"

Mazikeen blushed as she saw everyone looking at her. Sarah looked at her,

"YOU TOLD ME YOU FIXED IT? AND SINCE WHEN DID YOU HAVE ANOTHER?!"

Mazikeen shrugged,

"It was fully operational to run its final tests...the one Will has...and the one that you used...was fully operational to run tests on...in my defense, it was a carbon copy of the first one!"

Sarah glared at her,

"You mean to tell me, you told me it was fine to use, and it wasn't ACTUALLY tested?"

Mazikeen swallowed and slowly nodded,

"Listen listen, it didn't burn me alive,"

"BURN??!!!!"

Everyone winced at how loud Ratchet was. Jazz immediately put a servo on his shoulder,

"Ratchet, buddy, you look like you're about to pass out,"

Ratchet glared at him, and Jazz immediately took off his hand. Mazikeen shrugged

"The last three times I tested the first one, did not work out well,"

Will stared at her,

"You told me that you finished testing it! I assumed you found something organic to test it on!"

Mazikeen smiled nervously and nodded,

"I was...but you see...who knows when that was gonna be?"

Sam glared at her,

"Maze,"

Mazikeen smiled and nodded,

"That's my name! Don't wear it out!"

Sarah glared at her, 

"I swear to the sky above, if you ever pull that again,"

Mazikeen nodded, 

"I won't I won't,"

She sighed, 

"They both didn't work anyways,"

Ratched glared at her,

"I am putting you on full lockdown until you are actually healed,"

Jazz put a hand near Mazikeen,

"Lil M, you have to rest,"

Mazikeen sighed and nodded,

"I will, I will,"

Everyone sighed in relief, and Optimus Prime finally stepped up and knelt down to Mazikeen's table, 

"Mazikeen, thank you for saving my life, I owe you my life,"

Mazikeen smiled softly at him and glanced at her brother,

"Optimus, you don't owe me anything. Just please watch over my baby brother if I'm not with him,"

Optimus nodded his head,

"Bumblebee is going to be Samuel's guardian,"

Mazikeen looked at the yellow and black Autobot who was looking at her shyly, and she smiled and nodded at him,

"I know you will do fantastic Bumblebee, I trust you guys,"

Will sighed,

"I'm going to go gray soon,"

Everyone laughed, and Annabel cooed at her father. Ratchet sighed and rubbed his servos against his head, 

"Okay. If you are not me, leave, I need to get her fixed,"

They heard running footsteps and Ratchet grumbled more when three more humans came running in, 

"MAZIKEEN MICHELA WITWICKY!!!!!"

Mazikeen winced at her full name shouted at her by her fellow lieutenant, 

"Not my full name,"

She looked and saw a livid Epps and Fig with a happy Mikaela. Mazikeen smiled nervously, 

"Heyyyyyyyyy!"

Epps tapped on Jazz's foot, 

"Can you help me for a sec?"

Jazz nodded and let Epps, Fig, and Mikaela onto his servo and brought them close to Mazikeen. Epps and Fig immediately jumped from his servo as soon as they were close enough and ran to Mazikeen. Ratchet watched them carefully as they got really close to her and Epps glared at her, 

"If you do anything like that ever again, I will kill you myself after bringing you back,"

Mazikeen smiled and nodded, 

"Yep, I know I know, I won't,"

Epps sighed and shook his head, Fig smirked, 

"Hey! Now we can have that barbecue,"

Will groaned from his spot, 

"NO ALIGATORS!"

Fig rolled his eyes at his captain, 

"Don't knock it until you try it,"

Epps jabbed his finger at him, 

"Which will never happen,"

Fig winked at Mazikeen, 

"What do you say, Mynx?"

Mazikeen smirked and nodded, 

"I am down, I'm getting hungry,"

Mikaela and Sam walked back up to her, 

"We can get you food,"

Mazikeen smiled at the younger girl and nodded, 

"Okay, check with doc bot first. I think he's gonna kill something or someone soon,"

"Only liquids,"

Mikaela and Sam nodded and Sam patted Rover's head, 

"Rover, can you stay with her?"

"Of course, Sam...I will come find you when she sleeps,"

Sam nodded, 

"Thanks, bud,"

The two walked up to Bumblebee, and he happily took his charge and friend into his servo and walked away. Ironhide looked at Will and Annabel, 

"Want to show the sparkling around base?"

Will chuckled, 

"Baby,"

Ironhide tilted his head in confusion,

"Weird name,"

Will laughed, and Ironhide brought his servo closer to the father and daughter and he climbed on. Sarah glanced at Mazikeen and sighed, 

"Be careful,"

Mazikeen nodded, 

"I will,"

The last of the humans went with Ironhide and Optimus Prime nodded his head at Mazikeen one more time before leaving, which left Jazz and Ratchet with Mazikeen.
