Mazikeen laughed as Christopher made a funny face again. She smirked and nudged him, 

"You should charge people with how funny you are,"

Christopher smirked, 

"You think?"

Mazikeen nodded, 

"Oh, definitely, just don't tell your father I told you,"

Christopher held up his pinky, 

"I promise,"

Mazikeen giggled as she linked her pinky with his, 

"Cross my heart and hope to die,"

Christopher laughed, 

"You should charge too,"

Mazikeen winked at him, 

"Oh, sweetheart, I do,"

She then heard something move down the stairs by the door and she immediately felt shivers go down her spine and she stood up and looked at Christopher, 

"Hey...Chris? We are going to play a game. Go find a good hiding spot and contact your father,"

Christopher frowned, 

"And say what?"

Mazikeen started gently pushing him, 

"Tell him to come find you, and then make sure you are extra quiet, okay?"

"What's wrong?"

Mazikeen smiled softly at him, 

"Now, that's the fun part, your father will tell you later, when he finds you,"

Christopher nodded, 

"Okay!"

Mazikeen made sure he was out of the way before putting Phoenix in her pocket from the bag she had. She made sure to take out her twin guns,

"I know you are there,"

There was a deep chuckle, 

"So perceptive,"

She ducked as something went flying past her and immediately shot where it came from. Then someone laughed, 

"You think I would be so bad that you could land a shot on me? You don't know where I am. Mazikeen Witwicky,"

 Mazikeen growled, 

"Show yourself, Emmet Santangelo. You fucking coward,"

"Oh, I am not the coward here. I am the mastermind."

𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐄𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐞

The 118 finally got to the call destination, and Eddie got out with a confused look, 

"Uh, Cap? Nothing is here,"

Bobby frowned and shook his head, 

"That's weird,"

He called the dispatcher, 

"Hey, nothing is here, no fire or anything,"

"I think there is a cyber attack or a major prank going on. Because every single call we have gotten is the same. Return back to your station now while we try finding this fake caller,"

Eddie heard a beep and raised his wrist to see his bracelet beeping. He pressed the button and heard Christopher,

"Dad?"

"Hey, buddy, how is it going with Maz?"

"Maze told me that we are playing a game now. She told me to hide and be very quiet and call you,"

Eddie's heart stopped, and he looked at his team, 

"Oh, yeah! I remember now, yeah that game. Hey, where are you hiding?"

"Dad, that's the point of the game, you have to come find me,"

Eddie immediately ran to his friends so they could listen to Christopher, 

"Yeah, sorry bud, that's my bad...but is Maze near you, or is she hiding too?"

"I think she is also going to try finding me...I heard some crashing and weird loud sounds...but I don't hear her so she must be far."

Eddie's face paled, and they all immediately piled into the fire truck, 

"Okay, just stay hiding. We are heading there right now, okay?"

"Okay, but don't take too long, I want you to find me, not Maze,"

"We will be right there. Just make sure to stay quiet, so you should probably stop talking into this gadget, okay?"

"Okay, see you soon, dad,"

"See you soon, I love you, Christopher,"

"I love you too, dad,"

Buck immediately put a hand on his shoulder, 

"Eddie?"

Eddie immediately shook his head, 

"Someone is after Maz...and they found her! We have to get there now! They must be behind the fake 911 calls!"

Bobby nodded, 

"We are going as fast as possible. We need you to breathe and tell us about this person after her,"

Eddie shook his head, 

"I don't know how it's possible...he must have gotten out of prison somehow. But his name is Emmet, he attacked Maz a while ago, and he was interrogated. We never found out who he was working for, but he was sent to Rikers Island. If I'm right...then Maz is in serious trouble, but her team would never let her be alone if this was the case. Someone is coming over, and I failed her by not being there with her right now. We came to have a break and so I could see Chris and you guys again."

Hen put a hand on his shoulder, 

"Hey, we are going to help her,"

Eddie sighed, 

"If Chris did hear something loud but knew it wasn't gunshots...that's Maz's custom twin guns...so she's fighting someone right now."

Buck nodded, 

"Okay, don't worry, we will get there as fast as possible and save her,"

Eddie sighed, 

"I don't know if we can,"

"We will,"

𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐌𝐚𝐳𝐢𝐤𝐞𝐞𝐧

Mazikeen ducked behind  the table she overturned and winced as she put her hand on her torso, 

"Bitch,"

She heard laughter, 

"I think I saw a kid with you, Eddie's son, right? Maybe I should go look for him now,"

Mazikeen immediately took out Phoenix and whispered after pushing the button, 

"Christopher Diaz, phase 1,"

She watched as her pride and joy immediately levitated away. Phoenix was not yet deployed, but she knew that she would encase Christopher and bring him to his father. Mazikeen slowly started inching to the end of the table, 

"COWARD! FUCKING SHOW YOURSELF!"

She heard laughter again, 

"You would love that, wouldn't you?"

She immediately stood up and started shooting in the direction where she heard the laughter and ducked as soon as she felt a bullet whiz by her ear. Then she heard Phoenix flying past them down the stairs. Mazikeen sighed in relief knowing that Christopher was safe. She screamed as the table exploded and she was thrown back and landed with a loud thud, 

"Fuck,"

She heard someone running and immediately rolled to the side as the floor was shot at again. She kept rolling until she was by the locker room. She immediately crawled in and stood up. She cursed as she hid behind a locker. She heard someone walking in and tightened her grip on her twin guns. Then a loud bang went off, and she winced. Then she heard running again, 

"MYNX!!!!"

Mazikeen's eyes widened as she heard Fig's voice. She immediately ran out of the locker room to find Fig with his gun in his hand,

"FIG!"

Fig turned to her and sighed in relief. He ran to her, and they immediately got back to back and looked around, 

"Where is the fucker? I shot at something, but I don't know where he is now,"

"I don't know, we have to check upstairs now,"

Fig nodded, 

"Okay, on tres,"

Mazikeen nodded, and the two started walking toward the stairs, 

"TRES!"

They sprinted up the stairs. They ducked as they heard shots fire and shot back, 

"I got your present,"

Mazikeen immediately nodded in understanding and made sure he was fully covering her as she shot.

"You think your little friend can save you? Babe, I am invincible,"

"No, you are not!"

𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐄𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐞

Bobby stopped abruptly when he saw something coming at the fire truck very quickly. Eddie frowned, 

"Bobby!"

Bobby shook his head, 

"Something was coming at us! But...it stopped? Everyone out!"

Eddie sighed, but they all got out, and he gasped when he saw a suit.

"DAD!"

Eddie ran to the suit and the helmet retracted to show Christopher's face,

"CHRIS!"

Eddie stopped short of an inch from the suit as he tilted his head, 

"How?"

Christopher laughed, 

"I don't know! I was hiding, and then something came flying towards me, and when it touched my chest, it put me in this suit! Then this nice lady's voice told me she was taking me to you!"

Eddie gasped, 

"Phoenix,"

Christopher nodded with a huge smile on his face, 

"Yeah! That's what she told me her name is,"

Eddie grabbed his shoulders, 

"Did you see anything?"

Christopher shook his head and pouted, 

"No...Phoenix told me to close my eyes,"

The suit opened up and Eddie was quick to pick up his son and it closed, the full suit of armor was still on display and the helmet was back on. They all looked in confusion and curiosity when she spoke, 

"My name is Phoenix. I was created by Maze Witwicky. I was tasked to bring Christopher Diaz back to his father, Eddie Diaz. Maze is in a battle right now against an enemy. It is not safe for anyone."

Eddie frowned, 

"Maz needs help!"

"She does have help. As I was leaving, I identified Fig. He has weapons and will be suitable help for Maze."

Eddie's eyes widened, 

"They knew."

"Maze has programmed me with many protection services for those she cares about. Who are They?"

Eddie shook his head and clenched his fist, 

"Will. Epps. They knew that Mazikeen was in danger. They sent Fig over here, and they didn't tell me,"

Buck immediately put a hand on his shoulder, 

"Eddie, calm down,"

"I have picked up various code words from being around Lennox and Epps. All three of her squadmates have created them,"

Eddie shook his head, 

"We need to get to them. Phoenix let us go,"

Phoenix walked up to him and nodded, 

"You must be careful,"

Eddie crossed his arms, 

"Fine,"

Phoenix then went back to being the regular device, and Eddie picked it up and put her in his pocket and the group ran back into the fire truck. Bobby started speeding down towards the firehouse, and they finally got there to see a big explosion. They saw as a window exploded and saw two bodies flying out and falling to the ground. Eddie was first out and running to the bodies, 

"MAZIKEEN! FIG!"

Mazikeen groaned as she rolled off of Fig, 

"Ow,"

Fig groaned, 

"Never again,"

Eddie slid by them and winced as he saw the soot on them, 

"Mazikeen Witwicky, you will be the death of me,"

Fig raised his arm, 

"Get in the fucking line,"

Eddie chuckled and glanced them over, 

"Injuries?"

Fig shook his head, 

"I think I'm good. I might have gotten shot though,"

Eddie's eyes widened, 

"What the fuck do you mean, might have?!"

Chimney and Hen finally caught up and knelt down next to the three, 

"Injuries?"

Mazikeen slowly raised her hand, 

"I got shot at least once,"

Eddie glared at her, 

"What do you mean at least?"

Mazikeen shrugged, 

"Adrenaline still got me...please can you make sure he's dead,"

Eddie looked at Bobby and Buck, and they nodded. Bobby put a hand on Mazikeen's shoulder, 

"You focus on staying with us, kid. Buck and I will find the person who tried attacking you, okay?"

Mazikeen nodded, 

"Thank you,"

Fig groaned, 

"Yeah, the dick's name is Emmet. I swear he better be stone-cold dead...or maybe on fire,"

Mazikeen smirked, 

"Yeah,"

Hen slowly started wrapping Mazikeen's torso, 

"You got shot two times in the torso. We have to get you to the hospital. Fig, you got skimmed by a bullet,"

Mazikeen groaned, 

"Yo, and I just finally got healed from the stab wound. Everyone back at base is going to kill me,"

Fig nodded his head, 

"Nice knowing you, sister,"

Mazikeen winced as Hen and Chimney got her on the backboard. Fig was slowly lifted onto another one by Eddie. Bobby and Buck ran back out. They all looked at them, and Bobby smiled, 

"We found it. I called Athena so she is on her way to get the body with some coroners. You can breathe,"

Mazikeen sighed in relief, 

"It's over,"

Eddie put a hand on her shoulder, 

"It is...I'm going to call Lennox right now,"

Mazikeen winced, 

"Try to lay it easy on him, yeah? I need him to be nice to me,"

Eddie chuckled, 

"Sure sure, I might,"

Hen frowned, 

"Mazikeen. How much blood have you lost recently?"

Mazikeen winced and glanced at her, 

"Um....a lot? I had to be given blood like two weeks ago? I'm not sure when...but yeah,"

Hen sighed, 

"We need a blood transfusion. Chimney call ahead!"

Chimney nodded as they loaded them into the ambulance, 

"On it!"
