Sam tried and tried again to move, but Phoenix would not let him, 

"MAZIKEEN! COME ON PHOENIX!"

Mikaela put a hand on his shoulder, 

"Sam-"

Sam shook his head, 

"Please!"

Eddie ran up to him and put his hands on his shoulder, 

"Sam I need you to promise out loud that you will stay here,"

"No! That's my older sister out there!"

Eddie sighed, 

"You need to! So I can get Phoenix off of you!"

Sam immediately stopped fighting against the suit, 

"I promise to stay here,"

Eddie pressed a hidden button on the suit and Phoenix changed into her device. Eddie sighed out in relief and looked at her, 

"Phoenix, please go help Maz,"

"I am sorry, Eddie. I am unable to,"

Mikaela wrapped her arm around Sam as he felt his heart stop, 

"What?! Why not!"

"She does not wish for me to help her,"

Tex ran up to them, 

"Please! She is reckless, we all know that,"

"Even so, she needs to do this without assistance,"

Will frowned, 

"Do what?"

That was when it happened. They heard crashes and looked up to see all of the Decepticons offline. Sunstreaker gasped, 

"Aero,"

Sideswipe looked at his servos, 

"It's Aero!"

Jazz laughed, 

"She is offlining all of the Decepticons for us!"

Epps laughed, 

"Crazy chick, gotta love our sister!"

Then Ratchet frowned, 

"Our strength is returning,"

Ironhide nodded, 

"I feel as if we never battled!"

Jolt shared a look with Ratchet and the two frowned, 

"Mazikeen,"

Jazz, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, and Tex frowned as they felt a coldness sweep through them. Tex looked up at the sky, 

"Something is wrong,"

That caused all of the humans to look at the small Cybertronian,

"What, what is it?"

Tex frowned, 

"I don't feel the bond with Maze,"

Sam immediately looked to the sky too, 

"Please don't leave me,"

Then they heard flying and turned to see Optimus flying toward them with his hands enclosed around something. They all surrounded him and Sam looked up at him, 

"Optimus...where is my sister?"

Optimus frowned and closed his optics, 

"I could not stop her,"

He slowly set Mazikeen down and Eddie was first to her as he checked for her pulse, 

"She's alive!"

Ratchet frowned as he scanned her, 

"Eddie,"

Eddie looked up at him and saw the sadness in his optics, 

"What? What is it?"

Ratchet sighed, 

"Mazikeen...she is missing something,"

That caused everyone to look at the Medic, 

"Mazikeen is missing her energy. She may be alive, but I believe the term that you humans use is, she is in a state of sleep, she is in a coma,"

Sam frowned, 

"B-But she will be okay, right? She will wake up?"

Ratchet turned his head away, 

"I am unsure,"

Eddie shook his head as he put his hand on Mazikeen's shoulder, 

"Maz is strong, she will wake up, she has to,"

Then Judy and Ron ran over. Ron screamed his daughter's name as he collapsed at her side, 

"No, no, Mazikeen,"

Judy put her hands on Sam's shoulders, 

"Are you okay? Are you hurt, Sam?"

Sam immediately turned away from his mother, 

"I am fine."

Everyone besides the Witwickys backed away to let the small family have a moment with their oldest daughter. Judy sighed as she looked at her comatose daughter, 

"This should have never happened,"

Sam nodded, 

"She should have never told Phoenix to protect me,"

Judy glanced at her son and shook her head, 

"She should have never run off,"

Sam took a step back in shock at his mother's words. Ron sighed and looked up at his wife, 

"Judy, come here,"

Judy kneeled next to Ron and looked over at her daughter. Sam grabbed Mikaela's hand and glanced at her, 

"I love you,"

Mikaela smiled and hugged him, 

"I love you too...took you long enough to say it,"

Sam chuckled sadly and glanced at his sister, 

"I'm sorry it took me so long...I just know Maze woulda wanted me to say it after all this,"

Mikaela smiled sadly at him and squeezed his hand, 

"I know,"

 Rover hugged Sam's leg,

"Sam...I don't want to leave Maze,"

Sam smiled and picked him up, 

"We will go with her until she wakes up,"

Eddie patted his shoulder, 

"You are welcome at the base, Sam, definitely until she wakes up...we are going to move bases soon anyways,"

Sam smiled at him. Then, Judy stood up and marched over to Eddie and jabbed a finger in his face, 

"I'm sorry, who do you think you are?! I am bringing my daughter home! Where she belongs!"

That made everyone freeze in shock at the revelation. Will immediately stepped in between Judy and Eddie while calmly staring at her, 

"Ma'am. With all due respect, we are better equipped to give her the best medicine. We will have two doctors with her every hour of the day-"

"No! She is like this because of those Autobots! Because she joined the army! I am bringing my daughter home!"

Sam frowned, 

"Mom-"

"No. We are bringing Mazikeen home with us,"

Optimus looked at his fellow Autobots before kneeling down to meet Judy's eyes, 

"Rest assured, we will do everything in our power to keep Mazikeen from harm-"

Judy glared at him, 

"What? Like you did the first time?! Look at her! She is like this because of you!"

Optimus flinched at the words of the mad mother. Epps finally had enough and walked up to Judy, 

"Hey! Mazikeen is our family too! She has been the past six years! You can't just stand there and tell us that you are her only family,"

Will immediately put his hand on his chest, 

"Bobby,"

Epps shook his head and looked at Will,

"It's not fair,"

Judy glared at the two men, 

"Who are you two to tell me what's right for MY daughter?! She needs her family now!"

Ron finally stood up and put his hand on his wife's shoulder, 

"Judy, come on,"

Judy stared at Will and Epps a bit longer before turning away from them and walking back to her daughter. Jazz felt a servo on his leg and looked down to see Tex staring at him sadly. Jazz sighed and picked up the smaller Autobot. Tex pointed to Mazikeen and Jazz sighed before walking closer to the family of four. Sam looked up to see Jazz carrying Tex and he smiled sadly at the two. Jazz set Tex down near Sam and Sam picked up his nephew, 

"Can Tex stay with us?"

Jazz smiled softly and nodded, 

"Yes, as long as you take care of him...I think...I think Lil M would want Tex to stay with you for a while."

Sam looked at him and frowned, 

"Wouldn't she want you guys to have a piece of her?"

Jazz smiled sadly at him and put his servo over his chassis, 

"She will always be with us. Sam, she has only ever wanted to protect you, that was her number one duty...to be your older sister above all else,"

Sam wiped his eyes as he smiled up at him, 

"You were the best guardian Maze could ever ask for. Remember that,"

Jazz nodded his head and smiled at him. Tex smiled at Sam and hugged him, 

"My mom will come back to us,"

Optimus watched with a heavy spark at Tex's words. They started the evacuation and Eddie oversaw Mazikeen's transportation. That is, he did until they were safely back in California, where they all watched as Mazikeen was put in Bumblebee's backseat and the family and Mikaela drove away.
