Ch 8 ☆ "ITS ALL MY FAULT"

"I don't blame anyone
I did this to myself
It's my fault
Everything is my fault"

TRIGGER WARNING ⚠️: mention of suicide and depressive thoughts also btw very sad chapter ahead don't hate me!

ANGER FLASHED THROUGH the bright ocean eyes of Gracie Blake as her 'friend' Charlotte tried to grab her hand for the thousand time that night.

Gracie turned to Charlotte so fast that her neck most possibly got whiplash, she eyed the brown haired delinquent for a few moments, It was true what the twelve year old had done was wrong, but then again she was also a little girl who lost her mother and had no sense of closure.

And it seemed killing the son of the man that ruined her whole life seemed to be the only way to lift that weight off her shoulder, sure she shouldn't have lied but then again she was a kid who thought she was about to die. Besides if Charlotte didn't kill Wells Jaha someone in camp will have eventually, his death was an eventuality.

After having an internal debate Gracie sighed and grabbed Charlottes hand yet she kept her eyes tightly locked on the road ahead of her.

This was going to be a long night.

⚜️

Somehow Gracie woke up on the back of Charlotte, she sighed she knew Charlotte felt an overwhelming amount of guilt.

A few hours before Clarke had let out her frustration on the poor girl. Once the group found a place to sleep, Gracie immediately walked over to her mother and lied on her stomach, the girl missed the small smile that entered the older blondes lips.

Gracie was then woken up by Charlotte who had looked upon the younger girl with pleading eyes, after a massive amount of persuasion Gracie agreed to go with Charlotte.

Which leads to now where the two little girls stood alone in the middle of the woods, Gracie although the girl put up a tough front, a lot like her father, she was slowly being eaten by the amount of fear in her heart.

The girl had zoned-out before realising that in front of her stood her father and a struggling Charlotte.

Charlotte had tears running down her tan skin and she desperately struggled to get out of the oldest Blake tight grip "Let me go!"

Bellamy let out a frustrated sigh and gripped onto the struggling girl tighter "I'm trying... hey, hey. I'm trying to help you." Bellamy than cast his daughter a worried glance "Both Of you"

Gracie Blake had finally been hit with the reality of the situation, Earth wasn't safe it changed people, it destroyed lives and ruined the morale of the living and somehow Gracie had convinced herself it was her fault.

It was her fault that Charlotte had killed Wells she should have been there for her first friend.

It's her fault her father lost everything

It was her fault she killed her mother.

In fact she was just as bad of a murder as Charlotte was.

She desperately needed to die, she deserves nothing less kind than death itself.

"Charlotte!"
Gracie shivered as she heard the hoarse voice of Murphy shout her best friends name.
Charlotte struggled farther against an agitated Bellamy as Murphy walked into view "Put me down!"

Murphy smirked at Charlotte and glanced at the young Blake holding tightly to the twelve year old hands "Damn it. Bellamy! You cannot fight all of us. Give her up, and while you're at it give us the blonde too"

Bellamy nostrils flared at the thought of Murphy putting a hand on his daughter "Maybe not, but I guarantee I'll take a few of you with me."

Clarke's blond hair was visible as her and Gracie's Uncle Finn, Clarke stood forward holding out her pale hands in front of the two boys "Bellamy! Stop! This has gone too far. Just calm down. We'll talk about this."

Murphy snarled and grabbed the older blonde placing a knife by her neck "I'm sick of listening to you talk."

Gracie released a little sob at the sight of her mother being threatened.

All because of you..

Bellamy still holding a struggling Charlotte stood up and eyed the knife carefully before clenching his fists "Let her go."

Murphy didn't comply and edged the knife further into Clarke's neck, blood was now leaking out and now it was Gracie who struggled against her father, the youngest Blake was desperately trying to save her mother "I will slit her throat"

Charlotte closed her eyes and let out a loud cry tears poured from the girls eyes like rainfalls "No, please. Please don't hurt her."

You did this....

Murphy snared at Charlotte "Don't hurt her? Okay, I'll make you a deal. You come with me right now, I will let her go."

Bellamy immediately took action knowing what the young girl was going to do he grabbed onto the girl tightly "Don't do it, Charlotte. Don't do it, Charlotte!"

Charlotte pushed her way out of Bellamy's arms and shared a glance with Gracie, who in return the girl furiously shook her head no, but Charlotte being Charlotte ignored it "No! No, I have to! Murphy, this is not happening. I can't let any of you get hurt anymore. Not because of me. Not after what I did."

Why didn't you save her...

And with that Charlotte tossed herself over the cliffs and landing on the sharp rocks that were below somehow as if they had been planted there for that purpose.

It should have been you..

It was quiet for a few moments before Gracie's father immediately launched himself on top of the rebellious delinquent which resulted in Gracie's mother pulling him off the badly beaten boy.

Bellamy struggled in Clarke's arm "Get off me! Uhh! He deserves to die."

Gracie let out a small sob and placed a sad smile on her tear-stained cheeks. "No he doesn't"

If anyone deserves to die...

This brought the attention of the group to her, Bellamy realised how close his daughter was to the edge of the cliff an immediately tried to grab her but Gracie just moved backwards avoiding him.

Clarke was sobbing praying to god that her daughter wasn't going to do what she was thinking of. Finn clenched his fists tightly, his nails dug into the flesh of his palm resulting in blood flowing from his hands, he locked eyes with Gracie and mouthed 'please don't' repeatedly.

But Bellamy was the worst of them all, he refused to believe that his daughter would go that far, the dark-haired father reached his arm out to his daughter, tears freely ran from his freckled face and he tried to coax her into his arms

It should be you!

But his pleas fell upon deaf ears and Gracie gave her family one last smile
And jumped
