Gracie sat on Finn's shoulders while he gripped her legs tightly making sure she wouldn't fall. Her small pale hands running through his long brown hair.

Gracie let out a long obnoxious sigh causing Finn and Clarke, who was walking with them, to look towards the young blonde.

"What is it, Gracie" Clarke spoke while looking at the four-year old amusement clear in her sky blue eyes.

"Are we there yet" Finn let out a little chuckle at the young Blake, which in return, caused Gracie to hit him on the head, "It's not funny! I'm bored!"

Finn laughed again "Ah so the young princess is bored, well I guess we better take her back to the camp"

Gracie's eyes widened considerably "Don't. You. Dare!"
Finn scoffed playfully "Is that a threat, young princess". Gracie giggled "It might be!"

Finn looked at the pale blonde with mischief in his eyes suddenly he started to tickle Gracie, leading the young Blake to roll around in fits of laughter
"Stop-Ah- Clarke save me!"

Clarke who had been watching the interaction smiled softly and grabbed Gracie and placed her softly on her hip

Gracie stuck her tongue out at Finn and cuddled closer to Clarke

Clarke who was still holding Gracie, turned towards the other's agitated

"Hey, guys, would you try to keep up?"
Finn walked closer to Clarke and looked at her curiously "Come on, Clarke. How do you block all this out?"

Clarke sighed and looked at Finn unamused "Well, it's simple. I wonder, 'why haven't we seen any animals?' Maybe it's because there are none. Maybe we've already been exposed to enough radiation to kill us. Sure is pretty, though. Come on."

Gracie heard her Aunt Tavia say something in return but couldn't quite make it out, but it must have been funny as it made Jasper snort like a pig.

Finn turned to the best friends "I got to know what you two did to get busted."

Monty sighed and stuffed his hands into his pockets
"Sumac is not the only herb in the garden, if you know what I mean."

Gracie who was confused decided to speak" I don't understand, Do you understand Clarke?"
Clarke just gave a light chuckle and tapped Gracie's nose "Never grow up, Gracie"
Gracie shrugged and tuned back into the conversation

"Someone forget to replace what we took."
"Someone has apologized, like, a thousand times."

Jasper turned towards Octavia trying to change the subject. "How about you, Octavia? What'd they get you for?"
Octavia     face lost all traces of amusement and she glanced slightly to Gracie

"Being born."
Monty nudged his best friend in the shoulder "That is so not game."

Suddenly Gracie had spotted something and tugged and Clarke's sleeve "Look! It's a thing"
Everyone turned to where Gracie was pointing to see a deer
Finn chuckled and turned to Clarke with a smirk "No animals, huh?"

Clarke didn't answer, looking at the deer in awe , but the awe was short lived and the deer turned revealing its two merged faces

Gracie let out a little whimper at the sight and Clarke held her closer.

Maybe Earth wasn't as beautiful as Gracie thought

Gracie was now walking with her Aunt Tavia, she still shaken up from what she had seen

Finn decided to fill the uncomfortable silence in the air "Hey, you know what I'd like to know? Why send us down today after ninety seven years? What changed?"

Octavia     smiled at her niece and spun her around resulting in a small giggle from the latter
"Who cares? I'm just glad they did. I woke up rotting in a cell, and now I'm spinning in a forest."

Monty was also curious "Maybe they found something on a satellite, you know, like an old weather satellite or it wasn't a satellite."

Clarke who was tired of the incorrect guesses ,and a little grumpy from no longer having Gracie in her arms, decided to answer

" The Ark is dying. At the current population level, there's roughly three months left of life support, maybe four now that we're gone."

Finn looked at Clarke realising that's why she had been in the skybox
"So that was the secret they locked you up to keep, why they kept you in solitary, floated your old man?"

Clarke sighed and looked downwards her sky blue eyes filled with grief
"My father was the engineer who discovered the flaw. He thought the people had a right to know. The Council disagreed. My mother disagreed. They were afraid it would cause a panic. We were gonna go public, anyway, when Wells..."

Monty looked at Clarke in shock "What, turned in your dad?"

Clarke jaw clenched but decided against saying anything
"Anyway, the guard showed up before we could. That's why today. That's why it was worth the risk. Even if we all die, at least they bought themselves more time."

Monty still looked shocked "They're gonna kill more people, aren't they?"

Gracie who had just finished processing what had been said walked closer to Clarke and looked at her with scared eyes
"Are they going to kill Grandpa ?"

Marcus Kane, had never been known to be kind to anyone but his own daughter, but surprisingly Kane loved his Granddaughter as if she was the only girl on the Ark, he would bring her little presents and treats when he would come to visit.

Jasper looked at Clarke confused "I thought you said they floated your father"
Now it was Clarke's turn to be confused "Yeah I did, what does that have to do with everything"

Realisation dawned on the older blonde "Wait-Did you- Did you think I was her mother!" She sputtered out, her eyes darting to everyone in front of here.

Everyone, except Octavia , let out some form of a yes

Clarke let out a sigh" I only met the Kid today"
Jasper was still confused"Well, then, who is her mother"

There was a small silence until Gracie decided to speak up "Aunt Tavia says she's with the stars"

Silence resumed the group once more, and they continued there trip Gracie falling asleep in Clarke's arms.

⚜️

Gracie woke up leaning on tree, she realised the group was surrounding something by the river, so she decided to see what the fuss was about.

Imagine her surprise to see her Aunt Tavia with a large cut her leg, her head resting in Jasper's lap

"What the hell, Did I miss!"

⚜️

Gracie was in Clarke's arms as she watched Finn get ready to swing to the other side of the lake

"You wanted to go first. Now quit stalling."
Gracie let out a small giggle "Yeah Finn, Mount Weather awaits."
Finn just stuck his tongue at her, which led her to do the same in return

Jasper tried to cheer up Finn "Just hang on till the apogee, and you'll be fine."
"The apogee like the Indians, right?"    "Apogee, not apache."

Clarke rolled her eyes and let out a small huff "He knows. Today, Finn."
Finn let out a playful salute which resulted in another giggle from Gracie "Aye, aye, captain. See you on the other side."

Jasper glanced at Octavia before stopping Finn " Wait!"
"What?"
Jasper glanced at Octavia again "Let me. I can do it."
Finn smirked and gave Jasper a pat on the back
"Knew there was a badass in there somewhere."

Gracie bit her nails, nervous for Jasper, in the short time they had spent together she had grown to really care about him.

Finn, who had noticed Gracie biting her nails, kneeled down to her height and grabbed her hand softy
"Hey, it's okay to be afraid for Jasper,Gracie, The trick is not fighting it."

Jasper let out a battle cry before swinging to the other side

Finn grabbed the vine giving it to Clarke "Let's go, Princess. You're up."
Jasper jumped up down grabbing a sign that said mount weather "Come on, Clarke! You got this! Whoo! Apogee! We did it! Mount Weather! "

Suddenly a large wooden spear came out of nowhere and lodged itself into Jaspers heart"
The group gave out collective screams and Gracie struggled against Clarke's tight grip, tears pouring down her face

Clarke looked across to Jasper's body and tightened the grip she had on Gracie before looking around frantically as if someone might come for Gracie next

"We're not alone."

A/N: AHHH I FINALLY FINISHED THE FIRST EPISODE
So I hope y'all enjoyed so I know I said there will be a return of an old friend but I'm an idiot and forgot I was still on the Pilot

So there was some Clarke and Gracie moments (Which I totally need a ship name for)
