𝄞⨾𓍢ִ໋ THE WIND WAS STRONG, the trees were dancing to the breeze's music in sync and the only light helping Rosalie and Nathaniel see was the light from an approaching truck. They were hidden from sight up in a tree which Nathan helped Rose get up to and he turned his head to look at her, pressing his finger to his lips, gesturing for her to not only be quiet, but to stay where she was as well.

His ears perked up to the sound of a mumble, a female's voice, she was struggling but she couldn't pronounce any words because something was covering her lips, "Stay." He told his mate before hopping down from the tree and he looked down the road, watching as the truck rolled down towards him.

Before it completely passed, Nathan walked forwards in the most casual way possible as if he didn't mind being hit by the oncoming truck and he fixed his trench coat before turning to face the truck, watching as it swerved around manically, crashing into a nearby tree.

The vampire's ears zoomed in on the vehicle, searching for any sound when he heard the loud noise of a woman struggling again and he smiled, thankful she was alive. He sped over to the crashed truck and looked back at his girlfriend, who immediately made her way over.

"I'll make sure she's okay." Rosalie assured him and he nodded before making his way towards the driver's side. The only way was over the hood, so that's exactly what he did, he hopped over the front of the truck and slid across, landing on the other side with ease.

He fixed his coat once more with class before he opened up the driver's door, watching as the knocked out man fell out, falling onto the forest floor with a loud thud, causing Nathan to chuckle. He rolled his eyes, closing the door and he listened as Rosalie helped the girl, asking her questions about who she was, reassuring the missing girl that everything was going to be okay.

Nathan looked back down at the man, crouching down beside him, his eyes glued to the side of his face. The man was bald, his moustache reminding of a slug — dark and greasy, far from classy. He looked like your stereotypical trucker, quite chubby, in overalls with a red flannel underneath and a black puffer jacket to protect him from the freezing temperatures.

"Someone's exhausted." He spoke sarcastically, moving the man's head to check if he was even still alive but the sound of his heavy breathing was enough for him to know that fortunately he was alive so he could undergo is upcoming punishment.

Footsteps approached from behind him, twigs snapping under their boots and Nathaniel turned to look at them, pushing himself up as he saw his mate ducking under a few branches, making her way towards him.

She was clad in a long grey coat, white trousers that were visible underneath and she wore black heeled boots, a white beret atop her blonde curls. There was bright red lipstick covering her soft lips and she sent him a small smile, her eyes flickering down to the still passed out assaulter, her smile turning to a grimace.

But when she looked back up at Nathan, her lips upturned again into a smirk, her eyes glancing back at the girl she'd managed to calm down sat on the back of the truck, "She told me she lives nearby, should I take her to the hospital? She has several bruises on her body and a large gash on her head."

Nathaniel looked down to his own boots in thought for a short moment and he took a step towards her, a slight saddened smile on his lips, "You do whatever you need to, beautiful. If you think she needs medical attention, take her to the hospital." He watched as she nodded, turning around to walk back over to the girl who was in tears, making her way towards the truck.

A cough brought his eyes away from the blonde beauty who was walking away from him with grace and he turned around, staring down at the man with a sadistic smile on his lips, "Mr. Porter, is it?" Nathan's voice made the man snap his head up, his eyes immediately widening with fear.

"No— That isn't me." The man denied, his texan accent thick and he scrambled to stand up, wiping down his overalls rushingly. Nathan chuckled, knowing he was lying just by the look in his eyes, it was a gift.

"Sure it isn't." Nathaniel rolled his eyes, watching as he began to walk away but he sped in front of him, the vampire's eyes going completely black and the aggressor gasped in fear, almost screaming for help but he couldn't make any noise as if he'd lost his voice, "That was a lie, now tell me the truth will you, Robert?" Nathan asked calmly, a smirk on his lips as he tilted his head, staring directly into the fearful man's blue eyes.

"Uh... Um... Yes, I'm Robert Porter but please don't kill me. I meant no harm, I promise you!" He begged, even so much as to get down on his knees, slapping his hands together in a praying gesture, praying for Nathan to serve him mercy. But that wasn't Nathaniel's style whatsoever.

The "younger" man scoffed, grabbing him by the collar and pulling him up to look at his face, an evil look in Nathan's completely black eyes, "Why don't you tell that to the little girl left with several injuries inflicted by you, Mr. Porter?"

"I don't know what you're talking ab—"

"Lie!" Nathaniel cut him off in anger, the loudness and aggressiveness of his voice enough to catch the attention of both of the females sat on the truck. The girl looked worriedly up at Rosalie, her eyes filling with tears again at the sound of possible violence nearby and Rosalie stood up, looking around for any possible chance of getting the poor girl away.

It was hard for the recent newborn, she struggled with the smell of the bloodstream down the girl's head but she was strong, able to control it better than most other newborns.

"Please! I'm sorry! We're men, we have desires, you get it, right?" Robert forced a smile, shrugging in Nathan's grip and the aforementioned man grimaced in disgust, his eyes returning to their normal form. He threw him onto the ground with as much force as possible and when he heard a crack of a bone after the man hit the ground, he smirked in satisfaction, hearing his loud groans of excruciating pain, "I think you just—"

"Broke your back? Good, that was intended." Nathaniel strolled forwards and kneeled down, grinning down at the man as if it was a joke, it was pretty funny for him but not so much for the bad guy.

"It hurts!" The man screamed and Nathan chuckled, grabbing him by his collar again, lifting his face closer to his.

"Trust me, I'm doing a favour for this sad little town." Nathaniel leaned his lips down to the man's neck and opened his mouth wide, showing off his sharp teeth. With one swift motion, he bit into his neck further and further whilst Mr. Porter screamed in agony, blood spilling everywhere until eventually, the man's head fell off of his shoulders, rolling onto the ground with a thud.

Nathan wasn't a murderer, he only served punishment to those who deserved it and this man... he definitely deserved it. Nobody likes a child—beater.
