"You want me to be your fake partner and keep you company. Is that it human?" The demon asked, a mischievous smile playing on his lips.

"Yes." Beomgyu nodded, now sitting across the said demon, rethinking his life choices.

Whatever this blood oath thingy was, it didn't sound right. Would he have to sell his soul to the demon like the people say?

"Well well...for that, you'll have to complete the blood oath, and if you refuse to do it, I will take your soul with me." The demon spoke, his eyes glistening like red rubies in the dark.

Beomgyu gulped, hearing the demon's words. He was doomed now, he should have known this, it's a literal demon for fuck's sake, what was he thinking? He shouldn't be left alone with his anxiety and delusion-filled head for sure.

Now he had no choice but to agree to whatever rules this demon had.

"I mean that's what I asked for...I should be okay. He said he won't kill me afterall." Beomgyu thought, and finally looked at the demon sitting across him, nodding his head and replying "Okay, I'll do this blood oath. What do I have to do for it?"

A sinister smile appeared on the attractive Demon's face, as he got up from the bed, grinning in what Beomgyu would assume was excitement.

"Good choice human. A blood oath, is a ritual which will make you a contractor and me a giver. You will be able to order me till I fulfill three of your wishes, and I will be obliged to follow you until you make those three wishes. In return, I will take your body every night. Your soul will be guarded by Verena and I will possess your human body, since I don't have one." Yeonjun replied, with a smirk playing on his lips.

(Verena and Orpheus's conversation)

"What are you suggesting Vere?"

"My Lord, to find Kang Taehyun, you'd need a human body, because Hael would be guarding him, and your demonic presence can't enter his territory. You'd need a human's body for it. Why don't you make this human perform a black blood oath?"

"Are you suggesting...I take ownership of his body and use it as a vessel?"

"Yes My Lord!"

"But he has summoned me, I can't harm or kill him unless I've fulfilled three of his wishes Vere..."

"Exactly. You should make up a lie, that you will fulfill three of his wishes in exchange of his physical body every night. With his body every night, you can search for Kang Taehyun! And once you have fulfilled three of his wishes, you can take his soul and consume it, using his body as a vessel to kill Kang Taehyun and take his soul back to hell. Kill two birds with one arrow! That way you'd be more powerful than Mavros because of the consumption of a pure human's soul, and you'll be appreciated by Lucifer as well!"

"Sounds perfect. This is why I keep you by my side Vere. Let's fool this poor little human and fulfill his silly wishes until I can take over his body. I love this idea so much."

(End of Verena and Orpheus's conversation)

❝ ✉️ ❞ ୭ ˚. !!

Hearing the demon's words, Beomgyu's brain short-circuited a little.

Possess his body every night? Why would the demon need his body? To do demonic stuff?

"My body? Why would you need it?" Beomgyu asked meekly, mustering up his courage.

"To keep my powers intact. I don't have a human body, usually upon summoning we are given one, but because of some complex stuff, I wasn't. So I need your body at night to keep my powers working. Don't worry, I won't use your body for demonic stuff if that's what you're wondering."

Lies. Pure lies.

"O-oh...I see. So, my soul will be okay right?" The brunette asked, eyes darting between the demon and the feline gracefully sitting on top of his bed.

"Ofcourse, I'll guard it you foolish human." The feline hissed, and if she had a human form, she'd be rolling her eyes right now.

Beomgyu gulped from all the relevation, thinking about what to do now. He was trapped in his own misery, and he had no other choice than to accept it.

How bad it could be...right?

Afterall, it's not the first time he's seeing and taking the help of a demon.

"Okay... I'll do the blood oath. Just don't do criminal stuff with my body please." Beomgyu sighed, balling his fists and looking up at the grinning demon.

"Good. That's what I like. Now, shall we start the oath, my contractor?" Yeonjun stepped forward, eyes gleaming crimson red with excitement and anticipation.

"Y-yeah. Go ahead." Beomgyu stuttered, waiting for the demon's next instructions.

"Vere. Begin the oath." The demon ordered, and the feline nodded her head, stepping down the bed, taking her humanoid form.

With a flash of thick blackish smoke, the black feline disappeared from Beomgyu's sight, now being replaced with a human girl.

"What the-"

Beomgyu gasped, as he saw the "human" form of the cat.

There stood a young-adult woman, with nothing but a black silken robe wrapped around her body in an asymmetrical manner.

Her tall stature, standing at around 5'6 or 5'7, was slender and willowy, with a lean, athletic stature. Her features, pale and sharp, were framed by a curtain of jet black, wavy hair that cascaded down to her shoulders.

What caught Beomgyu's eyes was the pitch black tattoo that started at her neck and disappeared under the collar of her robe, crawling down towards her cleavage.

But it was her eyes that were the most striking feature about her. They were a light grey, like pools of liquid mercury, framed by a pair of winged, feline-like brows and cat-like eye shape.

Were all demons and mystic beings from hell supposed to be this attractive?

Verena, now in her humanoid form, stepped forward, placing her palm forward as a small dagger summoned into her palm, the small silver weapon gleaming with thunders of black and purple across it's handle.

"Forearm forward." Yeonjun ordered, his honey-like deep voice sending shivers down Beomgyu's spine, as he lifted his sleeves, exposing his milky-white skin laced with bruises to the woman infront of him.

"Stay still. Move or scream and I'll silence your mouth forever." Verena threatened, her voice cold and authoritative, as her sharp eyes searched for the perfect spot to carve the incantation and draw blood from.

Beomgyu gulped in fear and nodded his head like an obedient puppy, even though his heart was beating out of his chest from the complex mix of emotions swirling inside his head.

He was so doomed.

Finally, after a few seconds of analysis, she reached forward, grabbing Beomgyu's arm, making him shudder; but the younger kept quiet, afraid of what the demonic woman could do to him if he made any noise.

Yeonjun stood infront of them, an influx of emotions swirling in his eyes, as he watched Verena plunge the sharp tip of the dagger into the human's skin, drawing blood as she carved "Αιώνιο συμβόλαιο"

Beomgyu, despite trying his best not to let out any sound, screamed as the sharp tip carved words onto his skin, blood gushing out of the carving, dripping down his arm, painting his skin crimson.

Yeonjun licked his lips, a sinister glow in his eyes as Verena moved towards her master, carving the same words on his opposite forearm; completing the blood oath by smearing Beomgyu's blood onto his carved scar, making both of their incantations sparkle purple.

"The blood oath is completed. Demon Orpheus and Human Choi Beomgyu are now contractor and giver."
