𝐯𝐢. On-hold until further notice stories

It breaks my heart to even put two of my fics on hold, but ghost readers have been a pain in my ass for quite some time now. Imagine I write one chapter of 2-4K words for a week, making time for it, finishing my requirements early for it so y'all can read something about your favorite fanfiction/characters, doing this as if it were my career and get paid for it when I'm not and instead of just focusing on being a college student and I do this then I get not one comment in the chapters or even a vote but see that there are at least 400 reads on the chapter, like how in the hell did not one of those 400 readers even wrote a single appreciation comment for that chapter, hello??

I know, I know, "You should write for yourself. Everyone has to start somewhere," I've been doing this for almost four years now, and I learned that it's vital for readers to give feedback. So I could know that y'all actually want to read it or even like the story to begin with. "Votes and comments don't matter," UMM, whoever told you that, is a liar. LOL, yes, it does matter because it gives you motivation and inspiration to say, "OMG, someone actually wants to read my fics. I'm going to write another chapter for it." So you see, it goes BOTH WAYS.

Do you want a new chapter? Give me the votes and feedback/comments that I want. This is a give-and-receive, not just pure giving. Don't be greedy. Voting and commenting on chapters isn't that difficult; if you're shy, it's no problem at all because my comment section is a safe place. I try hard to make it feel welcoming, but I am not forgiving at all when it comes to rude readers.

This is about my Enchanted and Suck it and See, my Elijah Mikaelson and Remus Lupin fics. It's not like it has only two chapters. Enchanted has two whole acts completed, and Suck It and See has the first act with twenty chapters done, with those chapters having 3-4K words. Those are not easy to write, guys; it's so difficult.

So from now on, I will be instilling a new rule for my fanfiction, which I am sure some are already familiar with because I already enforced it on my recent fic, Sinta, aka my Jasper Hale fic.

New rule:

I am establishing a new rule that I won't update any chapters until the previous chapter I posted isn't receiving the amount of attention/hype (comments & votes) I would have preferred, so this time, I know that ya'll actually want to read my updates. This might get a weekly update if I am satisfied with the feedback!

I recommend for my fellow fanfic writers to do this cause it's such a lifesaver just a comparison, here's my Jasper Hale fic, Sinta, that I published this year in the month of May that has only 19 published parts and Act 1 is not even complete:

And this is my Remus Lupin fic that I published last year, with act one with twenty chapters and 30 published parts:

LIKE HELLO? If readers really wanted an update, they would make an effort to give you feedback. How is my Jasper Hale fic having those numbers when it's only published this year, and my Remus Lupin fic is dusting with spiders?????

Twilight and Harry Potter have a huge fandom here in Wattpad, HP even more so. So what just happened?? That's actually INSANE.

This is just MY own PERSONAL preference, alright. If you don't care about votes/comments. That's alright, you do you, but darling, I know my worth, and the effort I put into these stories doesn't get enough credit. I repeat, I AM A COLLEGE STUDENT, a pre-law and pre-med student, so for me to do this is a miracle. So, I better be receiving the hype and feedback that I desire.

If I don't get paid to do this shit, the least I could receive is feedback; y'all, like have some decency, PLEASE. Because I know the quality of my writing is better than some published authors right now that produce fast-paced romance books for money that's not even worth the hype of booktok or your money. And if I rework these fics into an original work. You would know that it's worth your money.

I'm already in the process of writing Enchanted's Act 3 but I stopped it for a while because I'm focusing on finishing Sinta, so Enchanted will be back by next year for Suck it and See, Act 2 is already finished, Lucy, my beta reader is just finishing it because we both are busy with being students, but if Act 1 still doesn't get any comment or feedback I won't be updating it any time soon and continue to write it on my own without publishing any chapters online.

That's that, LOL.
