"Heard from the doctor yet?" asked one of the masked guards.

"No. This is weird. He's taking too long"

"Hold this" ordered the doctor handing Jun-ho the bloody scalpel.

"We're in a hurry. Maybe I should try working on those?" called number 28. "I bet I could do it if you teach me a few tricks."

"You think you know so much?" asked the doctor raising his eyebrows. "None of this is easy," he said, glancing down at his bloody apron and then at the body on the counter.

"If you were so good, how come you ruined the eyes you pulled out last time?" asked number 28. "Those Chinese guys busted me!"

"Listen, I'll tell you what went wrong" said the doctor stepping closer. "That thing was still alive when I got here. How'd you expect me to operate with all of that struggling?"

"We don't have time for this" said Jun-ho quickly. "The boat will be here soon"

"I nearly pissed myself that night" whispered one of the masked guards when the doctor had calmed down again. "I thought the thing was dead, but then it shot up like a zombie. It started glaring at me with one of its eyes popping out."

"We could hardly salvage anything. That zombie looked promising, at least before we saw inside" said another supervisor.

"I almost died making the delivery that day" sighed number 28. "And we didn't even get full price because it only had one kidney."

Jun-ho's eyes widened slightly. His brother was missing a kidney. Could it be?

No, no. In-ho was a tough guy. He had dealt with a lot. He was still alive. He had to be. Jun-ho didn't know what he would do if he wasn't.

"It's my fault the zombie was missing a kidney?" asked the doctor flaring up again.

"Hopefully, this guy is all right" muttered number 28.

....

The dead man was heavy.

Y/n was incredibly grateful that this man had chosen the room closest to the incinerators. Y/n had pulled the man's hood up again and was dragging him as quietly as she could towards the furnaces.

She didn't have much time. She heaved the man into the black box and almost threw him into the furnace. She could hear echoing footsteps up above her somewhere.

As she turned to leave she saw the man's triangle mask laying on the floor. Rushing over she secured the triangle mask over her face and pushed her own circle mask under her shirt.

She needed all the leverage she could get if she wanted to get away with this man's murder.

...

"So what happened... to that zombie?" asked Jun-ho trying not to sounds too desperate.

"What do you think happened to it?" asked number 28 chuckling slightly. "We were in a hurry, so I beat it to death with that." He pointed to a large metal pole.

"Hold on, why do you need to ask?" asked one of the masked guards. "You were there for the whole thing"

"Don't you remember?" asked the other triangle guard.

"Back then... I was a bit out of it" replied Jun-ho lamely.

"You were out of it? You got rid of the body with your own hands." The guard was starting to walk towards Jun-ho.

"This is my operating room, okay?" shouted the doctor. "Stop chatting and do what I say, so I can actually do some work!"

Jun-ho guessed it had been about an hour. The doctor was wiping his hands on his aprons and the man's organs had all been recovered.

"They're all in great condition this time. Make sure you get full price" said one of the masked guards/

Taking the box filled with organs number 28 and Jun-ho left the room.

"Pick up the pace. The boat's already here" bossed number 28.

Number 28 and Jun-ho were in a secret part of the building now. Corssing through various hallways they found an entrance.

Number 28 opened the hatch and the two guards were about to descend when Jun-ho reached towards a large object on the side.

"Don't touch it" snapped number 28 noticing his actions. "It's a bomb. They made this passage so the VIPs could escape in an emergency. And once they're all out, they set that off and blow the entire place."

"The VIPs? Who are they?" asked Jun-ho.

"Why do you wanna know who the VIPs are? Not only are you more curious, but your voice seems to have changed.

Let me see your face" demanded number 28.

Jun-ho's mind didn't register the other guard's demand. All it could comprehend was the echoing footsteps from down the hall. He needed to move quickly. But he wasn't nearly quick enough.

"What are you two doing?" called a familiar voice. Jun-ho turned slightly to see the figure of number 30. He was surprised to see a triangle mask on Y/n's face rather than her usual circular mask. How had she managed to go up a rank?

Number 28 turned around to face Y/n. He tried to hide the organs, but Y/n didn't seem to care about the package. She had already seen them.

"I'm suspicious of number 29's identity" said the guard nodding his head at his superior.

"Were you going down there?" asked Y/n nodding at the open hatch door.

Number 28 nodded.

"Keep going. I'd like to see number 29's true identity as well."

Number 29 was hesitant but as Y/n continued to stare at him, he descended down the passageway. Jun-ho was second to descend and Y/n climbed down last.

"Take off your mask" demanded Number 28 once the three of them had reached solid ground. He pointed a knife straight at Jun-ho's neck.

"Do you have to do this?" asked Jun-ho.

"Do you want to die? Who are you?"

Jun-ho did not argue further. He pulled off his circle mask and shook his black hair out of his eyes. Almost instantly a knife was held to his throat, but he and Y/n were both quick to react.

Both their guns were pointed straight at Number 28.

"Now show me who you are," said Y/n, shoving the barrel of her gun closer to the man's forehead.

He reluctantly pulled off his mask. His eyes were searching at Y/n for some sort of explanation to her betrayal.

"Who are you?" he asked glancing at her. "Your voice sounds more–"

"Feminine?" interrupted Y/n resuming her natural voice. She pulled off her triangle mask to reveal herself.

Number 28's eyes widened with shock.

"Who we are doesn't matter right now, you got that? Now, what matters is the identity of the man that you murdered here" said Jun-ho. "The one you've been calling a zombie."

Y/n was throughly confused but she refused to let it show on her face.

"There was a man murdered here. With only one kidney" continued Jun-ho giving Y/n a significant glance. She did not meet his eyes.

"You know where that other kidney went?" asked Jun-ho softly. "In here. It's in here. He was my brother."

Y/n let out a shaky breath.

"He gave me that kidney," said Jun-ho, advancing on number 28 ready to take the man's life.

"No, no, wait! It was a girl. Not a man. I'm not lying." He was talking extremely fast. His eyes were darting around. Y/n could tell he was looking for some sort of an escape route.

"I'm not lying! It was a girl. Before we operated on her, we took turns having sex with the girl, okay?"

Y/n's head snapped to the man. Her eyes narrowed and the grip on her gun visibly tightened.

"Go check the list, if you still don't trust me"

"What list?"

"There's a list of all the players with all their info as well, even their medical records."

"Where?"

"Over the ladderway in... the room the leader is in."

"I'll help you guys find the brother! And I'll give you all the money I got selling organs! Once we're a team–"

Jun-ho had heard enough. He pulled the trigger and a resounding gun-shot echoed through the air. The man's body fell backwards into the pool of water.

Y/n and Jun-ho were silent for a moment before Y/n rounded on the young man.

"What were you thinking? That man could've killed you! You could've died!" yelled Y/n stepping closer to Jun-ho.

"I had it under control," said Jun-ho, his voice rising slightly.

"You call that control? That man had his knife to your neck. A second more of pressure and–"

"I'm a trained cop. I can handle myself. Why are you getting so worried?"

"Worried? Did I not mention it already? You could've died, Jun. Get it through your brain. We work together. What would I have done if you had died? Had you thought about that?"

Y/n was incredibly close now. Jun-ho could see the angry tears glistening in her eyes. He could count her fluttering eyelashes.

"I'm sorry. I–"

"I spend half my time worrying if you're going to make it out of your task. I can never tell what you're going to do. I need you to stop thinking you're alone. I'm here for a reason–"

"I'm grateful for you, but I can't ask you to do anymore. You're already risking your life and–"

"You think I want to risk my life everyday here? I want to be with my family, but I'm here. Not for my job. Not for money. I'm here for you. I'm here because I love you. I've tried to deny it, but I can't. I've loved you since the beginning. And you just can't seem to understand–"

It was a swift motion. Not even Jun-ho realized what he was doing.

His hand cupped her jawline and he pressed his lips to hers. Her lips were warm against his, her nose was just touching his cheek. He was holding her like she was a fragment of his dream.Β

A wisp of beauty that he had only dared to dream of in his deepest desires.

Y/n had become slightly breathless. Jun-ho could feel the fluttering of her breath. She held onto his face as she started melting into him. She wasn't used to being touched with such care it made her feel weak in her knees.

Butterflies were erupting in the base of Y/n's stomach as Jun-ho hand reached the small of her back. She was desperately trying to pull him closer. If she let go would he still be there?

Jun-ho didn't know if it had been minutes or hours, but he slowly pulled away from the woman. He was breathless as he looked down at Y/n's tinted cheekbones.

She was looking up at him with those eyes that he adored so much. He never thought anyone could look at him like that. Love was brimming Y/n's eyes and Jun-ho couldn't help but lean down again and capture her soft lips in another loving caress.

In that kiss was the sweetness of passion, a million loving thoughts condensed into a moment.
