After coming up with a quick plan with Sam, Everly teleported the two of them to the warehouse. They stood side-by-side in front of the abandoned building, neither of them really wanting to go inside. However, they both knew that this was the only way to get Katherine's heart back and they didn't know what Vincent would do if they refused his terms. So after letting out long sighs, Everly and Sam walked into the eerie-looking building.

Chills ran up and down Everly's spine when they were greeted by the faint sound of a beating heart. That caused her to look up at Sam, only to find him staring back at her with worry in his eyes. The two of them just stood there for what felt like an eternity passed before they walked further inside the warehouse. It wasn't long after that when a very familiar voice cut through the air.

"Welcome!" The Jones siblings quickly turned around to find Vincent standing near a table that held a box that was simply labeled Katherine. The smirk on the McKay boy's face did nothing but grow as his eyes flashed between Everly and Sam. "I'm so happy you were able to join me."

"It doesn't have to be like this, Vincent," the Jones girl said while trying to ignore all of the emotions bubbling up inside her. It didn't help that the raven-haired boy was staring back at her with a look in his eyes that reminded her of Peter Pan. "Just give us her heart back and we can talk about this."

"I will give you the heart," Vincent announced, causing a hint of hope to appear in Sam's eyes, only for it to fade after watching the McKay boy's smirk grow, "but you'll have to make a trade for it."

"What do you want?" Everly questioned, already knowing she wouldn't like the answer.

"You."

"No way!" Sam exclaimed after grabbing his sister's arm and pulling her protectively behind him.

While Sam and Vincent glared at each other, all Everly could think about was the scared look in Katherine's eyes. The Jones girl wasn't prepared to lose anyone else, no matter what the cost was. After letting out a shaky breath, Everly grabbed Sam's wrist and pulled him out of earshot of Vincent. "I need to do this."

"Are you crazy?"

"You need to get the heart back to Katherine before it's too late," was all Everly said in response before Sam just stared at her. That continued for a long moment before he sent the Jones girl a small nod and pulled her in for a tight hug. The two of them stayed like that for what felt like an eternity before Everly whispered into his ear. "If I haven't escaped by tomorrow, come back for me and don't come alone. And...I'm sorry for overreacting when I found out about your mother. You didn't deserve that."

Their hug lasted for a moment longer before Everly finally ended their embrace. The Jones siblings just stared at each other before Sam walked over to get Katherine's heart from Vincent. After watching the Jones boy hesitantly walk out of the building with the box in his hands, Everly turned her attention back to the McKay boy, only to find him glaring back at her, which didn't surprise her at all. The Purest Heart let the silence surround them for a moment longer before she decided it was time to break it. "So what are you going to do now?"

"I wanted to talk to you about Felix," the McKay boy responded before his glare was replaced with a smirk after seeing the shock on Everly's face, "let's talk about how many Lost Boys he condemned to a permanent end on Pan's orders."

A lump instantly formed in the Jones girl's throat after she took in his words. She already knew about Felix's choices on Neverland and how much he regretted them. but Everly wasn't prepared for Vincent to list off every single Lost Boy and tarnish the Thorne boy's name. Especially since Felix wasn't around to defend himself. So instead the Purest Heart pushed her feelings away in order to keep the vacant look on her face. "What happened to you? I thought you were strong and I could tell how loyal you were when I first met you. But clearly, you weren't as strong as I thought."

"Well, that's your fault," Vincent retaliated, forcing his smirk away as his eyes scanned over every inch of Everly's face, "you didn't come back!"

Anger began to flow through Everly's veins as her hands clenched into her fists at her sides. It took all her energy to keep her magic at bay while staring at Vincent with a look that could kill. "Sam and I tried to come back for you! Even if we didn't, you could've saved yourself!"

Everly's head was filled with the conversation she had with Sam as she sat with Felix in their tree. She was still going back and forth on whether or not she wanted to go through with her plan. The Jones girl knew that it was going to take a lot of convincing to get Pan on board with teaming up, but she also knew it would be a lot easier to deal with Vincent if they did. Everly just hoped that her gut was wrong and that she wasn't making a grave mistake.

Another ten minutes passed of the two of them watching the clouds roll by and sharing stories with each other. Everly didn't want the moment to end, but she knew she would have to bring up her idea sooner or later. "So I was thinking."

"Uh oh."

"I'm serious," the Jones girl stated, earning a smile from Felix in response before she let out a sigh and continued speaking, "the Lost Boys and the Saved Ones have a mutual problem. So I was thinking we should team up and face this problem head-on."

The smile on the Thorne boy's face instantly fell as he stared at the girl sitting next to him as if she just grew a second head. "I see an infinite amount of problems with your plan. And on top of all that, Vincent is after you. If he does become a problem for us, Pan will take care of it."

"Isn't rebelling enough for him to take action?" Everly questioned, only for her words to register in her head not even a second after they left her mouth.

A small sigh passed over the Jones girl's lips as Felix smirked down at her. "Apparently not."

Silence was all that was heard in the warehouse for the last couple of hours. Everly and Vincent were sitting across from each other at a small table, neither wanting to have a conversation at the moment. Normally, the Jones girl would try to find a way out of the situation, usually by teleporting herself to safety. But there was something inside of her that was telling her not to leave just yet. Whether it was guilt or curiosity, Everly didn't know. All she knew was that she wasn't quite ready to give up on Vincent just yet. She just hoped that her decision wasn't going to get her killed.

A small sigh passed over Everly's lips as she looked away from her fingers and up at Vincent, only to find him staring back at her like a predator with its prey. The Jones girl had a feeling that there was more to the McKay boy's story that she didn't know. And she couldn't help but feel that his family lineage had something to do with it. After all, Pierce did tell her that Vincent was Maleficent's brother, and yet they never were never together. It was like the McKay boy was avoiding any and all interactions with her.

"How did you get your powers?" Vincent questioned, causing a wave of relief to wash over Everly now that the silence was finally broken.

Despite her relief, the Purest Heart still hesitated for a moment, unsure if she wanted to reveal everything to the raven-haired boy. But then Everly thought that maybe finding some common ground could help her get out of her current situation. "I guess you could say I was born with them, but I didn't know about them until Pan unlocked them on Neverland when he tried to kill Felix. How did you get yours?"

"Same as you. Except I didn't need Pan to unlock mine," Vincent responded as he leaned back in his chair and crossed his arms over his chest, "what can you do with your magic?"

"Well, I'm a photokinetic," the Purest Heart told him, only for the brunette boy to stare at her with a hint of confusion in his eyes, " that means I can summon and control light. Other than that, it's just the basics like teleporting and healing."

"Sounds useless," the McKay boy scoffed, earning an eye roll from the girl in front of him.

"Depends on how you use it," Everly retaliated right as shock appeared on Vincent's face before he stood up and took a few steps away from her, "is everything okay?"

Vincent kept his mouth sealed at first as he pointed at the Jones girl's face before finally opening his mouth to speak. "Your eyes are glowing."

Before the Jones girl had a chance to explain, her current surroundings vanished as she was thrown into a whole new world.

Everly was in a place that she didn't recognize, all she knew was that she was somewhere in the Enchanted Forest. However, before she had a chance to explore any further, she picked up on the smell of smoke. A wave of fear washed over the Jones girl as she slowly turned around to find a village burning to the ground. She could barely believe her eyes at the sight of the eerie flames as they destroyed everything in their path. It was as if they were alive. And standing directly in the middle of the destruction with his hands out in front of him was a smiling Vincent.

"This is what they all get for exiling me!" the McKay boy shouted as he moved his hands through the air and made the flames fly onto another cottage, "this is what they get for turning on me! No one will ever mess with me!"

"You're lost, boy," a familiar screechy voice said, causing Everly's blood to run cold as she looked up to find Pan's shadow flying toward Vincent.

All the McKay boy did was smirk in response as he closed his fists, causing an explosion to go off in the distance. "I'm exactly where I need to be."

The world around Everly soon plunged back into darkness before her eyes flashed open. To her surprise, she found Vincent standing over her with a hint of concern in his eyes. At any other moment, the Jones girl would've teased him for worrying about her. But all she could think about was what she saw in her vision, making her remember exactly who she was dealing with.

"How could you do that?" Everly questioned as she forced herself to sit up, causing the concerned look on Vincent's face to transform into confusion, "how could you burn down that village?"

All the emotion faded from the McKay boy's face as he continued to stare at the girl sitting in front of him. "How do you know about that?"

"How could you do that to all of those people?" the Purest Heart retaliated, completely ignoring Vincent's question and the annoyed look on his face.

The McKay boy hesitated for a moment as he thought back to that day. All the words that were thrown his way bounced around in his head until he felt like he couldn't take it anymore. It was driving him crazy. "They said horrible things to me after finding out I had magic. Everyone always made me feel like I didn't belong. Even the couple who claimed to be my parents. They thought I was a monster."
