ARABELLA DIDN'T REALY KNOW WHAT TO THINK OF VALENTINA CASTAÑO. she seemed like a cool girl, but she was also in the way of ollie and linnea.

bella had also seen diego staring at her in the days they had known her. diego wasn't one to swoon normally but he seemed taken with the colombian girl. she hadn't confronted the boy about it though, deeming it too early to judge.

while diego had been staring at her, linnea's confidence in bagging the british boy went down by the day. it wasn't that ollie was paying more attention to valentina, if anything, he was trying really hard to get closer with linnea. for some reason, lin had shut him out.

she would do anything in order to avoid speaking to him, to 'not catch feelings' is what she told bella and lucy. both of the girls knew it was because linnea thought ollie liked valentina though.

on a positive note, arabella had grown closer and closer with kimi in the last few days. she knew she had said no flings, but kimi was making it increasingly harder to resist.

the boy was perfect in arabella's eyes. he was a gentleman, always opening doors for her if the group was going somewhere together. he always put his towel next to hers when they were at the beach, which lowkey made bella think of it as the equivalent of putting your minecraft beds together.

he was so sweet, he had bought her ice cream on multiple occasions already, he always walked everywhere with her if she wanted to go somewhere at night.

if he continues this, it won't even take a week for me to fall for him. bella thought to herself as she was leaning on her elbows, laying on her beach towel. she watched with a smile as the boys played volleyball in the water, which they were not all that bad at, surprisingly.

the three other girls were scattered next to her, laying in the late evening sun. it was around sunset, making the beach light up beautifully.

suddenly valentina spoke, "hey linnea, can we talk for a minute?" she asked, making the girl in question look over at her friends quickly. "uh, yeah, sure." linnea spit out, making bella and lucy smile at her proudly.

valentina smiled, standing up and holding her hand out to help the other girl up. linnea hesitated for a split second before taking her hand and walking off to a nice spot in the shade, a little further away.

bella and lucy decided to mind their business and start their own conversation, glancing over at the two other girls every thirty seconds, to make sure they weren't fighting.

about five minutes later, the two girls came back, both with smiles on their faces. "what was that about?" bella asked, lucy nodding, also curious. "just making sure she knows i don't want ollie." valentina said, making linnea smile.

"well, that's a relief. can't be beefing over a man during summer break." arabella commented, making the three other girls laugh. "do you have anyone else in mind?" lucy continued, making the colombian girl blush a little.

"maybe..." val giggled, putting her finger nail between her teeth. "WHO." lucy demanded, also laughing. "no stop, you guys are going to judge me." she laughed, making the three other girls turn to each other.

"it's diego." bella dead panned, as a very loud silence commencing after. it was silent for a good ten seconds before lucy busted out a laugh, making linnea snort. this lead the other two girls to laugh as well.

while the girls were giggling away, the guys came back from the water, which they didn't even notice. suddenly bella felt water hit her back, making her look up.

above her stood kimi, with dripping wet hair. "did you just shake your head, just to make me wet?" as the words left her mouth, she knew what was coming.

"MAKE YOU WET?? ew, arabella, you slut!" santiago yelled, making arabella look at him. "you've got a head start of five seconds, starting now." she told him, getting up from her towel.

"oh shit."

bella chased santiago around the beach for a few minutes before giving up, his football trained self having no problems with running away from her. "this is not over, santiago." she said, turning around and walking back towards their friends.

as she approached, kimi made space for her on his towel, motioning for her to sit down next to him. even though she had her own towel, she complied and sat down next to him.

"my neck fucking hurts from laying here all day." bella complained, resting her head on the italian boys' shoulder. kimi didn't protest, not at all. he grabbed her towel with his free hand and wrapped it around them.

"comfortable?" he questioned, making arabella hum. she could feel herself getting sleepier by the second. she didn't want to fall asleep sitting like this though, that would be even more painful in the morning.

"kimi?"

"yeah?"

"how long are you guys here for?" she asked a question she had kind of been dreading to ask. she didn't want to leave him or any of their new friends.

"i think we have like six more weeks here, we're here all summer long." the boy replied, sensing that bella was a little nervous about the situation.

"we're here for seven more weeks. we have to miss you guys in the last week." her voice became more quiet as she spoke, kimi noticed she was saddened by the news.

"let's make this the best six weeks ever, yeah?" he smiled down at her, the girl nodding in response. "a summer we'll never forget." she agreed.

while the two were engrossed in their own conversation, everyone minded their business. except for lucy, who took a quick picture of the couple watching the sunset.

she tapped linnea and valentina on their arms and pointed to the two lovebirds. when the other girls had spotted them, the three looked at each other with smiles on their faces.

bella officially had a summer fling.

after the sun had set, kimi had asked bella to walk with him, which she agreed to nervously. the two had been walking in silence for about two minutes before the boy spoke.

"bella?"

"yeah?"

"i have feelings for you."

arabella was speechless. she was not expecting that in the slightest. but, she didn't mind, she really didn't mind. after a few seconds of her shocked silence, kimi sighed in defeat.

"forget i said anythi—"

"shut up."

arabella grabbed the boy by his neck, pulling him down towards her height. although their difference wasn't a lot, he was still taller then her.

she looked him in the eyes for a second, daring him to make the first move.

kimi wasted no time planting his lips on hers, his hands moving to her bikini clad hips. arabella moved one of her hands into his curly, still slightly wet hair and pulled herself a little closer to the shirtless boy.

the kiss made her forget about the one rule she had set for herself. no fucking flings.
