(Y/N) and Noah laid under the bot, equally frightened and tired as his metal face was avoidant of any life. He still wore his signature goofy smile, the one that broke (Y/N)'s heart but brought a broken smile to her face.

Gently, the women reaches up and pushes her hands firmly against the robots chest plate. "Mirage?" She breaths out, and thumps her hands harder against the metal. "Mirage please.." she whispers in a cry, and Noah can only watch her with dread.

He wraps his arm around his friends stomach, preventing her from moving her hands. (Y/N) wails a small cry, and she pushes her face into Noah's neck, her tears soaking his shirt while she clutched his arm tightly.

They hear Scourge talk to one of his small monsters, and they hold their breaths when they hear it move to the grate next to them. It jumps in and scurries off, leaving the two to hold eachother tightly and mourn the loss of the Autobot that lay above them.

Noah heaves, and softly coughs. He looks up and taps (Y/N)'s arm quickly. The women looks up, and her eyes widen like saucers when she sees hundreds, thousands of drones falling from the sky, with Unicron right behind them.

Rolling their heads back, they close their eyes, and wait for. Wait for Unicron to destroy their world, wait for their friends to die, for them to succumb to the heat that radiated off of Mirage's body, they wait for anything that would put an end to their failure..

That was until the radio beside them crackles to life, and a familiar voice breaks through it.

"Hey, knuckles, you there? Over."

Their heads immediately snap towards the radio that laid just above (Y/N)'s head, still dented deep into Mirage's arm. (Y/N) smiles at the nickname that her brother had given to the bot that was no longer.

"Yo Sonic, Blaze." His voice comes out a little static, but they could hear him loud and clear. Noah swallows a lump in his throat, and picks his throbbing head up to stare at the device. "Kris!"

"Noah?" The boy asks in confusion, wondering why his brother had answered instead of Mirage. (Y/N) breaths in deeply, and moves her head around. "Hey, Kris." She mumbles, tired. "(Y/N)?!" He calls back in bewilderment.

"What's going on? Where's Mirage?"

The question strikes a sore in both friends chests, and they glance at eachother before Noah clears his dry throat. "He-He's gone." He breaths out shakily, and (Y/N) bites her tongue when she hears Kris gasp softly. "..gone?"

"I'm sorry, Kris." (Y/N) whimpers, and she arches her back a little while she tries to soothe her aching ribs. Noah sniffs, and pushes his face into her shoulder to stifle his incoming sobs. "We're not gonna win this one.." they can hear the whistling of the approaching drones, and their hearts drop when they hear a few of them land.

They hear the walkie crackle again, and Kris' voice comes through, only this time firm, and authoritative. "But you don't lose, right?"

"We wish that were true." Noah whispers, his face pulled in pain while the tears drop down his cheeks. "..but we can't."

The thudding from outside continues as more and more creatures unleash themselves. And the friends cringe when they hear their team scream and grunt in pain from below them.

"Yes, you can." Kris denies, and the two finally burst into tears. "No.." (Y/N) shakes her head. "We're not you." Noah chimes in, and they both hold eachother tightly in fear and defeat.

"I hate being sick." The young boy spits from the walkie. "Whenever I want to give up, you're always there, telling me to keep going. But now it's my turn."

"Keep going you guys." He continues, and the two's sobs slowly turn to sniffles while they listen. Kris feels himself frown when he hears their sobs and cries over the walkie, but he doesn't let that stop him from talking.

"You think you're nobodies, but you're the strongest guys I know!" (Y/N) shuts her eyes and pulls her lips with her teeth, but she snaps them open when she hears Noah softly gasp from beside her.

"You guys are so cute.."

Looking up, the women breaths out a loud sigh when she sees Mirage staring straight back at her, his optics flickering every now and then, but that same smile, that same stupid grin that he always wore around her was present, and she'd be damned if she didn't take it in.

"Mirage!" She yells, and her arms quickly go and wrap around the bots helm. Mirage breaths in deeply and shuts his eyes tight, with his brows furrowed before he pushes his face into her neck.

Noah laughs in relief, and grunts when he moves his head slightly to lock eyes with the bot. (Y/N) let's go, and gently sets herself back down into the ground. "You're alive." Noah hisses through his teeth in pain, and the robot chuckles. "Uh, yeah, but..I'm gonna need you to take the wheel."

The two note how shaky his arms and head were, and (Y/N) looks to her friend and nods. "Noah's got this." She grunts, and slowly pulls herself out from under the Autobot. Noah grunts and turns on his stomach, and (Y/N) looks down in awe as a piece of Mirage shoots itself towards her right arm.

It wraps around itself, and locks in place around her wrist, revealing a rounded blaster with a black stripe down the side, similar to Primes or Mirage's.

The women chuckles tiredly at the machine, but what really caught her eye was when she watched her robot disassemble himself and latch onto Noah. The sound of engines turning and machines locking together reach her ears before Noah turns around and faces Scourge, with his entire form caged in a grey body armor that resembled how Mirage looked.

"You can do this." Kris' voice fills both their ears, and they lock eyes before smirking as the top part begins to form into a helm. "Cause you're my brother and sister, Noah Diaz and (Y/N) Alpin!" Her heart swells a little at the title, and she looks down to see that her blaster had begun to glow a bright blue, that shone from the sides all the way down to the center.

"From Wilson Avenue, Apartments 2-C and 3-C, Brooklyn, New York." The boy continues to encourage them, and (Y/N) looks up to watch as the metal forms around the sides of Noah's face, a replica to Mirage, with an Autobot symbol laid atop the forehead.

"No names over the airwaves." The big brother chuckles, and looks down at the armor in disbelief and slight delight. He locks eyes with (Y/N), and they both grin.

"Forget that." They hear Kris smile over the walkie. "Let 'em know who you are!"

The transmission finally cuts off, and both humans scan each other's faces. (Y/N) shrugs her shoulder playfully, and takes the first step forward. Noah follows her lead, and his grin only grows when the visor sinks down and covers his face.

"Yo, Scourge!"
