"They found us!" Prime yells out to the others, and Noah immediately shoves his hand into his bag to pull out the gauntlet and wraps it around his hand. "Everyone, defensive positions!" The bot orders, and the Autobots quickly form a circle around their human companions.

Mirage quickly ducks down and pushes himself closer to a panicking (Y/N). He stays directly infront of her, and feels her clutch the metal around his leg in fear.

Primal walks up to the three, "Noah! guard the key." He orders, and hands the key to the boy. "Take Elena and (Y/N), and find someplace safe to hide." Mirage looks back at the gorilla. "I'll go with them." He says, almost urgently, and (Y/N) looks up at him thankfully.

"We must protect the humans!" The beasts says before growling when he's knocked off his feet. The purple Terracon smirks as she lands. "Miss me?" She sneers, and jumps into action to get to the humans.

"You guys, get out of here!" Mirage yells, but (Y/N) scowls at him. "You're coming to!" She yells back at him, and Mirage falters a little at her tone. He looks down at her and nods firmly.

"Right behind you."

The group make a dash for the tall trees, and yell and scream as blasts are shot their way, narrowly missing them by inches.

(Y/N) looks behind her when they come just across a sandy part of the river, with no way of going around or through the harsh waters. She looks around, worried, when she doesn't see Mirage. Two more fires are shot near them, and Noah tosses the key to the ground.

"We have to destroy it!" He yells out, and brings his hand up to aim it at the glowing object. Elena rushes infront of him with an intense but worried look, and (Y/N) carefully makes her way to his side.

"Noah.." the women mumbles and brings her hands up hesitantly. Noah looks to her with shaky breaths but stops when Optimus fumbles through the tree line. "No!" He yells, and keeps his distance with his arm still formed into a gauntlet.

"I know you want to protect your people, but if you destroy that key..our home will be lost forever.." he says it softly, a plead to the boy to just listen and think about what he was doing.

"We do not have to choose." Noah averts his eyes down and shakes in his spot. The gauntlet continues to glow a nasty red while it hums loudly, preparing itself to fire at any given moment. Elena shakes her head in worry, and glances to the women infront of her.

(Y/N) sighs and reaches down. She grasps Noah's hand tightly in hers, and she frowns when she feels him shake in her hold. Noah looks back at her, and shakes her head before disarming the weapon and lowering his hand.

Elena smiles a little before bending down and gently picking it up. (Y/N) smiles and pats Noah's back gently, but she snaps her neck up when a loud screeching is heard from above.

Without thinking, she shoves Noah to the ground and yells when Airazor grabs both herself and Elena in her talons, and screeches before flying away.

The last thing either of them heard before being taken away was the sound of Optimus and Noah yelling for them both, and Airazor carries them off.

The falcon soars through the sky and carries the two up towards a moment too, with both (Y/N) and Elena screaming and holding on for dear life.

They both grunt when they reach the top and Airazor throws them both to the ground before perching herself atop an edge. "(Y/N)! Elena!" They all turn around and watch with worry as Primal thumps his fists against the ground in anger.

He looks up and his optics turn to slits when Scourge chuckles in his face, with the Transwarp key tucked between his molding claws. The Terracon laughs mockingly. "Wait, wait. Didn't I kill you already?" He snarks, and Primal roars before grinding his fists into the grass.

"No! I'm the Maximal that's going to rip out your spark!"

Scourge all but laughs. "We'll see about that." He turns around and saunters away, but not before turning his head to Airazor and whispering into her ear. "Kill them."

Immediately Airazor launches herself at the gorilla, and digs her claws into his chest plate. Primal grunts and rolls in his back before yelling and grunting when his friend digs her beak into his shoulder, pulling out wires and metal along with her. He groans and uses his foot to shove her away, all the while the two girls watch the fight with wide eyes and slightly shaking legs.

"Airazor, no!" Elena yells out, several cuts and bruises lining up her skin. She looks back and gasps when (Y/N) crouches to the ground and clutches her leg in pain, and the two reel back when they see blood beginning to ooze out of the stitches she had received the night before, that had come undone from when the falcon threw her atop the mountain.

"I can't hold it back..!" The bird screeches, and her wings slouch as her eyes turn fro orange to yellow once more. "..any more!" Her voice box was distorted and scratchy, like that of an old record that had been played over and over again.

Primal huffs and curries his fists into the ground while he stares at his friend. "Fight it, Airazor." He says softly, and he glances to his left. His optics strain a little when he sees (Y/N) leaning against Elena in pain, but he has little time to react when Airazor speaks.

"Remember our oath, Primal.." she whispers, and her eyes begin to flicker from orange, to yellow, and then to green. "No matter the cost.." with the reminder given, Airazor lifts herself into the air, and glares harshly at the two girls. "I can't..hood it back!" She opens her mouth to fire at the two, but misses and shoots Primal instead as he jumps infront of the two.

"Airazor no!" His body catches alight from the blast, and he tackles his friend down into a different section of the mountain.

Elena breaths deeply. "Shit, shit, shit.." he whispers harshly, and looks back at a groaning (Y/N). She grabs the women under her arms and lifts her up. "It's okay, I got you!" The girl strains to lift her up, but (Y/N) complies, all the while she hisses and cries while her leg burns and itches from moving to much.

...

The two try their best to rush down the large steps, and they gasp when they watch Airazor blast flames towards her old friend, and the gorilla cries out in pain at the feeling.

"Primal!" (Y/N) yells, her eyes wide with pain and tears still leaking from her eyes as she watches them. They both back away with yells when the Maximals crash into a tree near them, and they keep their distance.

Primal cages the bird into his arms, and grunts while she comes in and out of her trance. "It's..okay!" Airazor rasps out, continuing to struggle in her friends grip. "Do it.." with her final say, Primal brings his arms give their and squeezes Airazors chest plate, ultimately destroying her spark.

He crushes the metal with his fists gently, and the sound of her engine slowly dying fills his ears before he feels her become limp in his hold. The girls gasp as they watch, but refuse to say anything while they watch Primal gently lower his friends body to the ground, her optics still open but avoidant of any life that still remained inside.

Just as they took a small step forward, their attention is grasped when the rest of the group rush in, all with wide eyes and sunken faces. "Primal.." Optimus says in both disbelief and sadness, but the gorilla shakes his head, while continuing to stare at his friend. "No matter the cost.." he mumbles.

The group stay quiet and watch, as both Mirage and Noah rush down to meet the girls. Noah quickly goes to Elena while the bot went to the bleeding women. "Hey, hey.." he soothes, and gets on his knees to get a better look at her. "Are you okay? Your hurt.." Mirage mumbles in guilt, and he shakily sighs when (Y/N) leans against his stomach plate.

"I'm okay, Mirage." The women breaths out, and she chuckles a little when she feels his arms slowly cage her near him. She reaches up and places a hand on his knuckles, and presses her face more into his warm metal. "I'm better now that you're here." Softly the bot smiles, and he feels a small part of him fizzle a little at her words.

He keeps his head down and stares at her with admiration, but slowly opens his arms when Noah rushes to them.

Quickly the boy wastes no time and shoves his bag to the ground before taking out a cloth, water bottle, and a bandage. He uncaps the bottle and pours it over the wound, and nods along when his friend hisses and swears him in Spanish. "I know, I know, it'll be over soon." He soothes, and wraps the cloth around it before tightly readjusting the bandage.

Noah breaths a sigh of relief and wraps his arms tightly around his friend, both of them still caged between Mirage's legs and arms, with the bot shielding them from prying eyes.

(Y/N) nods and quickly pushes herself up, despite the pain she felt, from both her leg and the loss of her new friend, she stands straight and limps a little before looking up at the Autobot and smiling. Mirage fumbles a little at her smile, but returns it with a boyish one of his own.

The group goes quiet after a moment, and (Y/N) looks back and frowns a little when she sees Elena's panicked look. She limos a little towards the girl (despite protests from both Noah and Mirage) and wraps an arm around the girls shoulders in comfort.

Elena looks up, and her lips wobble a bit when she locks eyes with Noah. "Scourge has the key." She whimpers, and breaks away from (Y/N) to go sit by herself. The women sighs, but allows it.

...

(Y/N) and Mirage sit side by side on a cliffs edge, with the robot sitting a little lower than her so they could be at eye level, and watch as a large tower forms from atop the mountain a few miles away. The sky crackles and rumbles with life, almost ironic giving the circumstances at place.

The bot sighs. "I'm sorry we failed, I-I'm sorry I failed.." (Y/N) frowns and looks up at him. She watches as his shoulders pulled down and his back arched forward. His head was lowered in shame, and that caused a small spark to ignite in the women's chest.

She looks up and glares at the boy. "Hey.." she mumbles, and puts a hand on his leg. "Look at me, please?" Mirage sighs but complies, and he lowers his head to stare at the women. He scans her face and raises a brow as she glares at him.

"You're not perfect, Mirage." She starts, and the two stare at eachother intensely. "None of us are, whether you're human." She posts to herself. "Or a giant tin can." She points to him, and the bot chuckles with a scoff.

"But my point is, none of this is yours or anyone else's fault. We tried our best, but loosing dosent mean that you were ever a failure." Slowly, Mirage leans forward a little, and (Y/N) smiles before she cups his face in her hands.

"You are amazing, Mirage. And I couldn't have thought of a better robot to kidnap me, drag me all the way here.." the two laugh softly, and (Y/N) bites her lip softly before sighing and resting her forehead against his.

"And possibly..maybe causes me to fall in love with him."

A loud whirring comes from the bot, and he pulls his face away before straightening his posture and chuckling nervously. "Oh! Um, I-okay so, wow!" He laughs a little bit more, and (Y/N) can't help but chuckle at his expression. She waits for him to calm down, and when he does, he's wearing a large grin with squinted eyes.

They lock eyes for a moment longer, and Mirage clears his throat and pushes his face into her stomach with one more giddy laugh. He pulls away slightly, and he ducks in a deep breath.

"I love you-"

"All right eyeryone, squad up!" Noah's voice immediately breaks the moment up, and (Y/N) hears Mirage growl a little under his breath. The women pats him on the cheek sympathetically, but quickly lays a small kiss to his nose and hops down from the edge and strolls towards her friend.

She hears Mirage giggle from behind her, and he to gets up before following after her, making sure to stay atleast five centimeters apart (not that (Y/N) was complaining).

"There's gotta be a way to stop this dude." Noah says and tosses his bag over his shoulder. He smiles when (Y/N) joins his side, but that smile turns a bit confused when he sees a happy Mirage trailing behind her, humming a happy tune and kicking his feet like a little school girl.

"It's too late. The Transwarp has already been activated." Primal says sternly, and jumps down from his ledge to allow a hologram to im it from his chest. "It has more energy that a supernova." The hologram was that if the large spiked tower that rested in the middle of the mountain. "Any interruption will ignite it, like a bomb." A pulsing red surround the inside of the structure before a red explosion goes off at the top, showing what might happen.

"The only way to stop this process, is an access code installed long ago as a safeguard."

Mirage nods along, but his eyes keep glancing back from (Y/N) to his teammates, and Noah feels a slight twinge of annoyance at this. "Okay, so what's the code then?" The bot asks with a smirk, and pushes the tip of his foot to move between (Y/N)'s feet, as if he wanted as much contact with her as possible.

Primal shakes his head. "The code was split along with the key. Sadly, the second half of that code does with Airazor." His voice slightly dropped a little at his friends name, and Cheetor growls a little from beyond him in sympathy.

"No, wait, wait, wait I got it!" Elena quickly scurries to her feet form her sitting position, and (Y/N) watches with a small smile as the researcher picks her notebook up. "The one hiding her half of the key— that had markings in it, just like the ones I found in the cave where you hid yours."

Flipping through her paces, the researcher tosses her notes together on a page and likes them up before showing them to the Gorilla. "Together, they must complete the access code." She smiles, and (Y/N) clasp her hands softly in amazement. Elena glances to her and smiles shyly at the praise, but the women gives it to her anyhow.

Mirage chuckles from beside her, and he feels his engines turn a little when the women leans against his leg, and rests her hand against his metal.

"So we got a chance now, right?" (Y/N) asks gently, and Primal grunts a little in her direction. "A slim chance.." he grumbles, and all their heads turn to Optimus, with his hands clenched together in fists.

"That is all we need! If..you will show us the way, Primal.." he asks the last part softly to the leader, and he takes a moment before turning back to the hologram and nodding.

"All right. We need to move quickly. We have a small window before the portal opens up large enough for Unicron to enter." The hologram forms and a large beacon of light shoots through the sky, before a red portal rips through the makeshift sky.

"The bridge is girded by a series of tunnels." An orange line runs through the bridge and splits off into different directions. "They are too small for Maximals, but.." he trails off. "But not for humans." Cheetor cuts in, and hops down from his ledge before walking around Mirage and lying down near (Y/N)'s feet.

The robot grumbles at the cat, and sits himself down as well behind the women as she ran her fingers through the animals fur, and yells when the bot pulls her back against his leg.

Primal ignores them, and continues. "If Noah, (Y/N) and Elena reach the central antenna, they can use the code to shut it down.." small holograms of the humans run across the bridge, before reaching the center. "Remove the Transwarp key, and close the portal before Unicron enters our atmosphere." A loud humming is heard while the tower flashes red and finally closes before shutting down.

"But Scourge will be watching out every move." Arcee speaks up, and folds her arm. "He'll do anything to stop us from getting the key."

"Then we bring the fight to him!" Optimus stands tall over his team, with his voice strong and posture just as. "Autobots, and Maximals! Will charge the bridge together, and lure Scourge onto the battlefield."

"While me, (Y/N) and Elena sneak in through the back way." Noah says with a smirk, and tugs (Y/N) away from both Cheetor and Mirage, one glaring at one while the other looked at him in confusion and innocence. Noah loops his arm through his friends, and they both join Elena's side with small smiles.

A low rumble rips through the Earth, and while everyone looks up, they watch as a venomous red circles around the tower. WheelJack sucks his teeth, and runs his palm across his head. "It sounds like we're all going to die." He says, a little skeptic.

Optimus takes a step forward, and glares at the tower from where it stood. "If we are to die, then we will die fighting!
