Character Synopsis:
Kazimieras Smith was different from his eleven brothers and sisters.

He's known that his entire life the moment he discovered that he had fire and flying powers—abilities that made him out to be an inhuman, yet he was never afraid of what he could do. His mother, on the other hand, was the one that always seemed secretly worried about his safety as if she knew something that he didn't—and she was the one that told him not to let anyone know about his powers, not even his siblings. But his father—Kaz never really noticed how his father always seemed more interested about his powers rather than spending time with him.

Why would he notice? To Kaz, he's never felt like he had a father—at least, not until his first day of preschool where he met his best friend: Casey Jones.

The moment that the two met, Kaz has always felt more at home with the Jones' family than at his own home where he wouldn't have to hear his parents fighting nonstop. If anything, spending so much time with the Jones' made Kaz and Casey grow closer to the point of beyond best friends—to brothers as the two realize their shared interests in hockey or how they both shared a sense of justice.

In the end, Kaz and Casey were there for each other every time they needed it, just like Casey was there for Kaz when his parents divorced when he was seven-years-old.

But when Kaz finds himself in for the adventure of a lifetime, he soon learns that family isn't always blood, especially not when he gains a family that actually has your back and stands by you.

After discovering his father's secret affair when he was five, Kaz didn't speak to his father for two weeks and yet, secretly hoping against hope that what he saw was just a misunderstanding, Kaz didn't said anything about what he saw to anyone. However, when his parents divorced, Kaz cut off all contact from his father and didn't want anything to do with him.

Laura Wilson - [soon-to-be] stepmother. This relationship is unknown due to the fact that Kaz doesn't have any contact with her because of his own issues with his father.

Alan Smith - paternal half-brother from his father's side. At first glance, Kaz and Alan are most likely the only ones who really have something in common when it comes to their father, having been that in a way, they've both felt abandoned by Ethan. However, this does not mean that they're close since neither Alan or Kaz have ever bothered to get in contact with the other and their first time seeing each other would be at their father's wedding.

Their relationship only becomes more tense after Kaz rejects Alan's proposal of donating some of his mutated blood in order to save him, which Alan sees it as a betrayal from his half-brother and it sends him over the edge.

Felix Smith - paternal half-brother from his father's side. This relationship has been unknown since Kaz doesn't have any contact with him—at least until his father's wedding.

Alex Smith - paternal half-brother from his father's side. This relationship has been unknown since Kaz doesn't have any contact with him—at least until his father's wedding.

Gavin Smith - decreased biological uncle from his father's side. This relationship is unknown since Kaz has never met him.

Emma Walker - biological mother. Although Kaz hadn't told his mother about what he saw when he was five, he is actually quite close to his mother, which is why it was hard for him not to said anything about what he saw—the way that his father had seen Kaz's bond with his mother was putting it as the fact that Kaz had always been a mama's boy.

After the divorce between his parents happened when he was seven, Kaz did what he could to help his mother out, since she had been pregnant with his youngest brother by the time Emma had filed for divorce against Ethan.

Kaz and Casey have been best friends since they were three after meeting on their first day of preschool as their friendship turns into them being like brothers to the other. What neither one of them knew was that one day, they would end up becoming stepbrothers.

Chloe Jones - [soon-to-be] younger stepsister. This is a pretty normal relationship since the two pretty much grew up around the other with Kaz and Casey being best friends or with Chloe and Kyle [alongside Piper Hart] being best friends.

Physical Appearance:
Kaz has dark brown hair, fair skin, and brown eyes. He often wears a short-sleeve red shirt, denim jeans, and black sneakers.

Personality:
Kaz is loyal, trustworthy, smart, caring, kindhearted, and can be protective. He also has a strong sense of justice and while Casey  who usually jumps before he thinks, Kaz is more rational and logical. He is also willing to sacrifice himself for others.

In some aspects, Kaz can get a little jealous when he sees other kids with their fathers since it only reminds him that his own father had chosen his mistress over him.

Although he doesn't show it, Kaz is still hurt and angry at his father's action as he has a habit of hiding his feelings towards his father but the only one who knows about it is Casey since he was there when everything happened.

• Phoenix Serum Enhanced Physiology - Unlike Alan who mutates violently after exposing himself to the serum, the only thing that the serum mutated for Kaz are his cells, hence how he got his powers.

• Flight - Kaz has the ability to fly and can reach incredible speeds when flying at 72,000 miles per hour.

• Pyrokinesis - Kaz can generate fire from his hands and can also manipulate and control other fires that aren't started by him as he can generate shapes composed out of fire as well.

• Plasma form - Although he isn't aware that he is able to do this yet, Kaz is able to literally set himself on fire with no effects on his health, which is thanks to his Pyrokinesis. He is also able to fly with his body on fire. This ability is a reference to Johnny Storm from Fantastic Four.

• Super Nova/Phoenix Flame - Although he isn't unaware that he is able to do this yet either, Kaz can convert into the hottest levels of plasma by going "super nov," as Kaz can release all of his body's stored energy in one intense, omni-directional, fiery-burst that can reach about 1,000,000F, the temperature of the sun. This is another reference to Johnny Storm from Fantastic Four.

• Fire Grenades - Kaz can shoot fire projectiles out of his mouth.

• Super Durability - Kaz can withstand the temperature of his flames and other fires not started by him. Due to this ability, his body temperature is a bit more higher than what it should normally be.

• Fire and Heat Immunity - Kaz is unaffected by heat and flames, including his own—even when a part of him is aflame and the rest of him is not. Therefore, he cannot be scalded or burned by any heat source.

• Martial arts/hand-to-hand combat training - Due to being trained by Master Splinter, Kaz is able to last in a fight using martial arts and hand-to-hand combat.

• Water/Fire retardant - His powers will not work in a low or zero oxygen environment such as the upper atmosphere,  outer space, or under water.
